It’s my first time to give 5 stars in all my reviews, and it is well deserve one. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Our server was really great, shout out to her, her name is Mayolin, she made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.

Just recently opened this new Denny's does not disappoint. It was very busy when we arrived but we were seated quickly and our drink order was taken in just a couple of minutes. Our server was very friendly and took our order soon after getting the drinks. All of our food was hot and fresh. Three different staff members kept my coffee cup full which was really nice. Our food was delicious and not a thing was left on a plate. We will be back here next time we are town. If you like Denny's you'll love this location!

For the first day the service was alright! Of course, servers are confused and flustered, we expected it. Food was delicious and timely. There was a problem with one order at the table but they took it off the order immediately once something was said. I think it was a great first experience. As well, they have outlets in every booth with the built in hdmi inlet for phone chargers, and I know that's a must for business meetings!I will definitely be back. Love breakfast

The waitress was the only reason we didn’t walk out. She was a sweetheart. 45 mins for breakfast? All that was offered for reasoning was “a problem in the kitchen”. I’m sorry but when I can hear other customers commenting on the kitchen staff standing watching tv while we are waiting a gross amount of time for a simple breakfast, I don’t accept any attempt to justify it. The place wasn’t even half full... Won’t be back.

She was very informative about their menu and even made good suggestions on the food which was helpful since it was our first time to dine in that restaurant. Good sanitation and hygiene especially during this pandemic. I will recommend this to my friends and family.

Waited an hour to be seated just to watch a small family get seated before us then being told we had to wait for them to be done to get that table. Then waited an hour for our food because the waitress had to come back twice to make sure the order was correct then still had to send food back that we didn't order. After all that we had to wait a half hour to get our bills, the manager offered us free coffee then still charged us for 2 of them. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt being new, but there was no excuse for bad service.

Brunch at Denny's in Fort St John.. this year compared to last was a wow! What a different experience from exactly 1 yr ago.. Last year was so unkind and we had zero service after sitting in there for a half hour.. Today we were greeted by a pleasant young waitress she informed us she would be 2minutes because she was cleaning a table for us.. she was pleasant and fast with our drinks .. brought 2 Nd cups of drinks letting us know she would be busy for a few minutes cleaning the other side .. food was hot and Tasty!! We tipped her good and our day was content .. thanks for great service

Came here for a family breakfast, and the service was extremely slow even though half the tables where closed due to covid. When we got our food it was very obvious that they had left it under the heat lamps for a long time as the egg Benedict sauce was very crusted and the bread soggy. As well the we asked for well done hash browns but got underdone soggy hash browns. This is the second time I've been to this location and both times it has been very terrible.

Absolutely abysmal service! Food is completely unseasoned and bland. Cooks can’t follow instructions. And wait staff CONSTANTLY remove masks and serve with their masks covering their chins/necks. The wait staff in particular who do this are NOT wearing glasses, so there’s absolutely no excuses. 75% of your customers are travellers, by not wearing a mask, you’re potentially infecting everyone you serve. I’ve dined here three times during my 5 day stay at the Best Western and have not had a single meal that was actually good. I’ve tried the burgers, standard grand slam, and nachos. All were horribly underseasoned or badly cooked. I’d highly suggest avoiding this location like the plague, it is absolutely horrible. Management is argumentative and rarely present. (Review made Aug/2020)

Normally I don’t review or complain but.. Was the only customer in at the time I went. Coffee was cold, ordered the tater tot nachos - got 3 1/2 tater tots, the bowl was mostly gravy. The dish was luke warm at best. Ordered the big breakfast and boyfriend got a dinner entree. His food was warm, mine was cold; eggs, toast, pancakes, all of it lol. Our server took his order and walked away before I could even say what I wanted, they forgot my coffee when we first sat down. I didn’t expect great food, it’s Denny’s. But I did expect to get warm-ish food, and more than three tatertots hahaha. Second time here, won’t be back again. We were the only people and the food and service still sucked.

Went there for lunch at 1215, was sitting for 10 minutes befor we even got asked for drinks. Placed our order and informed the girl that we where in a bit of a rush on our lunch brake. 7 minutes latter she came back to confirm our order and still no coffee or diet Coke. She walked past us repeatedly empty handed and at 1242 we over heard her at the servers station that she was going to take her brake and that all her tables good and just the food had to be dropped. We got up and went to the front but no one was there to inform that we had terrible service and had to head back to work hungry.

Evry single time we go there we wait an extrme amount of time to even place our order! We went one time with 2 waitresses working and only 5 tables and it took over half an hour to place an order we where ready to walk out espishly when the person who came in behind us by 10 minutes got his food before us... the only reason this isnt one star is cause wben we told the manager about the service he was understanding and vary happy to listen and even gave us a duscount! The manager and the food was great but the worse service ive ever had:(

Food is good and atmosphere is nice. The last time we were in they couldn't find kids menus for some reason, so we had to guess because the waitress wasn't very familiar with the menus. The service was slow considering there wasn't many people there at the time (probably low on kitchen staff?). Hopefully the speed with increase in the future. Hope at some point they will stay open late (1pm) or maybe even 24/7. :)

Terrible service. Ordered breakfast at 9:15 am and was told it will be ready in 20mins. Showed up at 9:45 and the place was surrounded with customers and delivery drivers who were waiting for their food. We had 3 orders and decided to leave, and were then presented with 1 take out bag (which didn't even have the right order). Had to leave as we had a flight to take, and we received no food despite paying (through best western). I will never come back here again for food, even if it is included with the hotel stay. Better to go elsewhere

I had the fish and chips last night. Although they had a slight fish flavour they were very niticeably overprocessed patties. They did not flake like fish but rater looked like fried batter when broken open. The fries and mozzarella sticks were superb. The wait staff was exceptional in her service.

I guess the food is okay but I have waited over 45 minutes from when I finished my food to when they came with my bill. They never EVER refill your drinks. Worst service in fsj and that’s saying something. I will correct my review when this changes. Edit: 18 months later and sadly the only thing I want to change about my review is adding that about a week after posting this the owner found me on Facebook and offered me a “free supervised meal” in exchange for taking my review down. I did not take him up on it.

Gave this place 3 tries never had a good experience. During one visit they were out of everything we tried to order, then a guy randomly comes up and starts talking to us about how we were upset, he wouldn't identify himself as the manager until we started to get agitated that he wouldn't identify himself, all we got was an apology. Last time we went took almost an hour to get our food during a normal morning not even too busy, food came out missing 3 things from our orders, tried to eat and everything was dried out bland and tasteless like it had been sitting under a warming light for 20 minutes. Won't ever be back.

The morning Manager Paige was very friendly, professional and courteous, however we were at the establishment for nearly an hour, had not been offered a coffee refill until specifically bringing it up, and had not received our food. Unfortunately we had to leave without eating, so I cannot comment on the food, I imagine it’s similar to any other Denny’s location. I would not recommend eating here until they get their staffing and kitchen in order so the wait times aren’t as severe. In the interim, it might be beneficial to let customers know what the estimated wait for food will be, if longer than 30 minutes.

Well it's the first day of business at Dennys. The service is quick and curtious. Our dinner did take a little longer to come out than average, but they are still working the bugs out. First night and all. The food it self is typical Dennys. No issues there. My wife had the Bourbon burger. I had the Cali Club Sandwich. Both were very good. This restaurant will be a nice addition to the community.

It's fast. It's good. If you order an Eggs Benedict order one harder. If you want medium say hard. If you want soft say medium. Prices are ok considering how many staff are on duty and how quick you are served. The Philly omelet is really good too.

the reason for 2 stars is because I ordered chicken and i found hair in my food, the chicken tasted burnt and the fries had no salt in it. when i got my drink there was black stuff in it the waitress asked to rinse it out and give me another drink, so i waited got my glass back but with the same black stuff in it but more. My experience wasn’t the best.

This site is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. everytime I I need a superb meal, this place comes instantly to my mind. outstanding and varied food and a good menu.generous staff members, and agreeable mood. I waited 1 hour for eggs and bacon. Half hour for our drinks and at the end the waitress ask me if i wanted more peanut butter for my toast. Decent spot to get breakfast when you've had a few in ya. All of Fort St. John would appreciate it if you served breaky until at least 2am, we need late night breakfast. But honestly, it's a sad spot to see a few people at the bar doing shots of crown at 9pm, like come on, go to an actual bar or give up on life.

Where do I even start? Party of 3. When we arrived, the restaurant was less than half full. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for BREAKFAST. Completely unacceptable. Service was good but after a point they kept checking on us, and for what? We didn’t have any food! The people in the booth beside us even inquired at one point as to how much longer they would have to wait. Then when we finally get our food, the bill was given to us not long after. My daughter was still eating and the waitress asked if I needed the debit machine. So you make me wait over an hour for my food then when I’m eating, try to rush me through and out the door? Ugh. Bathroom was freezing cold, but clean. Restaurants was clean as well. The waitress had said near the end that one of the cooks had walked out earlier and normally I’d let the long wait slide because of that, but I can see from other reviews that wait times are a regular problem at this restaurant so it clearly wasn’t a fluke. As for the food, I haven’t been to Denny’s in over a decade so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Pancakes taste like they’re made with cake mix. Bacon is thin and so incredibly salty, and the hash browns leave something to be desired. And can we talk about how they don’t even serve real maple syrup?! In Canada!!! The portions are very large too but literally every breakfast order is like that. So I ended up wasting a lot of food (not bringing home breakfast food. It gets soggy) I would have preferred to just be able to order a smaller dish. 100% will not be back to this location. Or any Denny’s for that matter.

These staff are super kind and definitely care about providing a quality service. Had a miscommunication and I was slightly late to pick up at a preorder time but they had me down to come right away after the call, my order was tossed and they went above and beyond to help.
