I’m always a supporter of business’ that originate in my home town, but when not home, I don’t tend to have great success, and this wasn’t an exception to that rule. The place looks great, modern decor, and well maintained, but some of the seating areas look awkward, and hard to get in and out of. On a table of 6, half had issues, from being served the wrong food, to the food being way off basis, and even accounting for there being a big festival in town, the reason we were there, the food took over an hour to get to us, despite it not being busy. I mean, the California Club was great, but that wasn’t what I ordered. On top of that, neither bathroom had a working towel dispenser, and other issues with the general cleanliness.

Great restaurant in Brockville. Pub style food with daily specials. The burgers were delicious. The decor was really nice, and the service was friendly. TVs located everywhere so that you can also stop by to catch a game with some friends. Stopped over for dinner and didn't have anything to complain about. Went for dinner with two other couples. Service was ok but felt like I was being rushed out the door and was out for a relaxing meal out. Atmosphere was more like a bar with loud music loud atmosphere and a child like birthday party going on at same time...I feel if we were ordering alcohol we would have been welcome to sit and relax all night! This is the first time I have been since they revamped the menu and I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the food and the service. I really like their concept of having a small menu. The ingredients are fresh and it tastes absolutely amazing. Simplicity is key and most restaurants don't get it. I had the Thai Bowl with Salmon and this was probably the best meal I ever had in Brockville. My friend visited from Montreal and he was equally thrilled. The staff is friendly and this atmosphere is great. Their specials are also interesting. Prices are fair for the quality. We will be coming back for sure!

My steak was cooked perfectly and fried were great. My wife ordered the veggie burger which was way overcooked. Overall great atmosphere and has large 8-10 person booths sectioned off with great privacy. Awesome for large groups.

Love going to The Mow! A great alternative to more corporate standards, with a great menu, amazing staff, and a warm and welcoming environment. I'm a huge fan of their fresh food/in-house prep approach and it's apparent in the quality of everything I've ever ordered. Killer breakfast too, the perfect destination for a large breakfast that tastes amazing!

Hostess was unfriendly and grumpy, not impressed. Waitress was nice but we had to wait 45 minutes just for a small dessert to be ready. Honestly we were ready to walk out upon initial intro but decided to stay. Maybe we should have left. They may have been under staffed that day but either way you are serving the public and you really need to put your best foot forward. Not sure I'd go back.

. This is a great little Pub Pub and I love the breakfast here. They have a 241 Barley Moe breakfast if you spend $20 or more on your next visit which is a pretty fantastic deal. They are actually honoured an old receipt of mine from about six months ago which was awesome awesome of them. The staff is great very friendly very punctual. Food is served fast and hot and is always delicious. I would recommend this bar to anybody.

Chips just perfect for me everyone has there own liking but the thing's I was not crazy about was the slaw little to much sauce not that a big deal everything else was great will be going back . Other thing was the tartar sause I'm into more of a british sause it tasted more of dill not for me . Owner makes his own brew of different flavors of beer great flavor I will be going back only reason I gave 4 was to much sause on slaw and tartar ,but again everyone has there own flavor some people like sause some people like none and that's me so overall food was amazing I would have stayed and ordered more to be honest but had other things to attend to going back next week and can't wait

Ordered takeout for the office and was very pleased with our food. I had the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and it was out of this world. Fantastic flavour and loads of food. Other items ordered that were equally good, smoked meat sandwich with sweet potato fries, crispy chicken wrap, buttered chicken, and a Malaysian Chicken. Strongly recommend their food. Hostess was pleasant and restaurant took all necessary covid measures.

I was given a Hair with a salad around it and when mentioned to the leather pants wearing waitress she returned with a new salad. Which ok nice thank you. But then she said that it must have in the salad mix from the store because none of their crew has blond hair. So alright fine didn’t except the blame but at least I got a new salad. But we also got charged for it aswell. Typically restaurants will say no worries it’s on the house sorry about that. But no, the blame was passed and all we got was another soggy salad. Not only this but the owner or manager whatever he is does not seem to take his job seriously at all. And this attitude has passed on the the employees. Maybe it was an off night but from what I saw I would not return.

I always find the food tasty and presented well, with a large amount of variety. The service can be a hit or miss. The music can be far too loud at times. The menu changes often, so do not set on picking favorite dishes as by the next visit they are most likely gone from the menu. Overall I have ate here several times and will return.

The service was great and the place looked very nice. We were misinformed on the phone on what time the kitchen closed so we were only able to order appetizers which at first was a little dissapointing until our plates arrived! If those were appetizer sizes, I wonder what's the size of a regular plate!! I ordered nachos and my friend, a poutine and took at least half of my plate to go since there was soo much. We also had a couple of local beers that pared perfectly with our food! I definitely recomend this place!!

Server was great, drinks were refilled promptly, food was great, bathroom was clean, menu has the pub basics and some nicer dishes. Price was about what I've come to expect from pubs nowadays. We were heading to the theatre right after and you can easily spend more there on a bag or popcorn and a single pop. It seemed like they can reserve pretty large parties of people since it looked like there was a party of 20+ while we were there. Didn't seem to have a lot of tvs while we were there so if you're there to keep an eye on the game you may not get a seat that can see it. Will go again, it's right across from the theatre so getting a meal and drinks before you go is ultra convenient.

Went their for wing night and the ckicken wings where really good. I ordered 4 pounds of wings with fries and pop drinks and it only came to 7.50$. There hot wings where to hot for my brother and I and we eat indian food all the time. The place is very well maintained and the waiters where very good.

The music was too loud and there was a TV every where you looked, playing three different hockey games. Had worse but had better. The view on the patio was to be desired, stared at an empty run down parking lot beside them. Patio was pretty dirty, food all over ground, thick dust and cobwebs on furniture out there. Butter chicken was delicious! Fish and chips were bland, thin, and kinda blah. Probably won't go there again, try a few other places first.

We stopped at the Barley Mow in Brockville, it was one of the restaurants we found as we went through and decided to give it a try. It is mid range price, more than you would expect from a pub/grill but not over the top. The food was good, we both enjoyed our meals. The food arrived fairly quickly and it was hot. However they gave me the wrong burger but I kept it as we didn't want to wait for a replacement. Overall it was good, the service was good and the wait staff friendly. Would we eat here again, maybe, but we will definitely be trying other places first.

Been there 3 or 4 times now. This was our first during Covid. Felt very comfortable with the attention they were paying to sanitizing and keeping everything clean. The food was fresh and fast. Our server was very nice. All round for a first out covid-dining I have to say, was very satisfied all round.

A nice cozy place whether for breakfast or a night out with your buddies, this is one of the best Brockville has to offer. The menu, while not as varied as some has some unique plates and tasty food. The bar variety makes up for the rest especially if you're a scotch drinker as it has some unique ones you'll want to try. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the is even a semi private place to eat that has a table for 4-6 people. Not too expensive and worth the price! Check it out!

On May 27th we ordered three curry dishes that came with rice and crispy naan bread, plus a pho soup with a cup of dry wontons. My husband really liked his veggie curry, but I found it a little bland. We both enjoyed the vindaloo, and liked the butter chicken, but my husband found found the butter chicken too spicy for his liking (but usually butter chicken is not spicy, right?). We both liked the naan bread, but the wontons average (we ate them on their own, not in the soup). And while my husband liked pho I thought it was lacking more veggies, although the flavour was nice.

Went for a small meeting. Everything was really good. Barley Mow has come a long way from a couple years ago. The wontons app was good enough that three rounds were ordered. Several who usually pass on desert were temtped into the skillet cookie and it did not disappoint.

i just want to thank Mark (manager) and also the other manager who was on, a petite blond lady, I am sorry did not catch your name and his staff for the wonderful time we had last night March 15/19 for Ambush night. The place was sold out, standing room only. We were delivered great service the whole night even though they were very busy, the food was great and service even better right from the time we walked through the door. We had a birthday in our group and we had brought in a cake for the person, and they took care of lighting candles and bringing to our table at the bands first break. The staff totally friendly from the get go even though they were very busy, we will be back not only for Ambush nights but othe nights just for supper. I celebrated New Years with friends at a reserved table and left very disappointed in the lack of service. It wasn’t busy and we had to go up to the bar to get drinks. They passed out champagne and somehow overlooked a few of us sitting there. Also the prime rib was over cooked and tough. What a disappointment. The food is expensive and I would expect better service especially on New Year’s

We set out to go to Kelseys and couldn't get in so we went across the street to the Barley Mow and what a nice surprise. We only waited a couple of minutes and were seated outside away from anyone else. The food and service were awesome. They even accommodated all the dietary restrictions everyone had. The next time I'm in Brockville I would definitely go back!

While our waitress earned the stars by being friendly and attentive, the food left us hungry and wishing we'd gone elsewhere. Smoked salmon appetizer was unusual and off-putting. Because of the lack of interesting items on the menu, we ended up ordering the wings appetizer and left it at that. Daughter ordered Malaysian chicken which was too spicy for her to eat. We went home wishing we had just stayed home. Barley Mow is just your average bar food and when they try to get creative, it fails. Sorry, won't be back.
