The survivors were very nice an on top of everything making sure we were have in a great experience an the food was great best buger I've ever had by far .. an the onion rings were great to came with 3 kinds of dipping sause an all were really great!! Always a bit of a wait for the food but the servers are friendly and the burgers are great. You can get all kinds of crazy burgers and you can pick your own meat (or veggie option) and type of bun (gluten-free available last time I checked!). Good beer selection. Beware:. The onion ring tower is really only about ten onion rings.

Very nice location, polite and friendly staff, wait is decent. Visited on New Years eve and everyone seemed happy to be there which is rare when your servers are working on a holiday. In times like those wish they implement the “buy the kitchen a beer” option that I've seen at similar burger restaurants.

Recently visited Brantford for the first time for an appointment and my husband and I decided to stop by at The Works for lunch. Waitress was prompt to welcome us and gave us time to look at the menu. I specifically asked for a multigrain bun and a side of sweet potatoes fries with my hamburger. Apart from the VERY LONG wait time ( *keep in mind the restaurant was not filled to the brim with people), when we finally got our order I was given a plain hamburger bun and a bowl of steamed broccoli. I didn't say anything as the wait time for our food had us cutting close to our appointment. The hamburger overall was not spectacular and the steamed broccoli was just that.....steamed. No butter, salt or pepper. NO FLAVOR. My husband also commented that his hamburger buns was cold to the touch. The HIGH cost of the meal did not match the quality of the food we received. We have been to The Works at other locations and by far this was the worst, so much so that this experience has put off visiting another The Works restaurant in the future. Look elsewhere....McDonalds, Wendys, A &W, Harveys.

Just ordered through skip the dishes, my burger was burnt to a crisp, completely black. I couldn’t taste anything but burnt. My boyfriend’s burger on the other hand was fine. Just surprised a burger THAT badly burned would be put out to order and not remade. Especially when it’s $20. For an order costing $50, not worth it.

For a place, that only serves burgers The WORKS has a vast variety of options! First, there are several options for the patty and the bun. Those include veggie and healthier options like chicken breast. Next, you choose from dozens of creatively named burger topping options or create your own from an a la carte topping menu. I've only ever had the beef patty, and they will cook it to your liking. It's not the cheapest place for a burger, but it is comparable to other sit down restaurants. Everyone in Brantford should visit here once. There is something for everyone as long as you don't get overwhelmed by all the menu options.

My husband and I picked up bugers, fries and poutine yesterday for take out. What we had was the best take out food we've had in months. The burgers were phenomenal, and the poutine, my husband said was the best he's ever had. The gentleman on the phone that took the order was fantastic. Worth every penny. We will definitely be back.

We decided to try The Works for dinner before going to the show at the Sanderson Centre. It was very busy but we didn't have to wait long. Huge variety of burgers to pick from. I got the Gettin' Piggier with It and my friend had the Pig Bang Theory. The burgers are huge and very tasty. The service was great. We were done in plenty of time to go to the show.

Burger was juicy and tasty. It had lots of toppings and a fresh bun. Fries were done to a tee. Onion rings were crispy and almost a meal on there own. Drink came in a measuring cup for a unique touch. Server was pleasant and smiled a lot.

All the staff here are fantastic. They have a great attention to detail and want to make you happy at any cost. The food here was fantastic and better than we have experienced at other Works burger restaurants. Our family had three different variations and all were superb. The chips with dipping sauces were also very good and so tasty. If you are in the area, skip the usual fast food burger joints and treat yourself to an exceptional burger and outstanding service. You gotta eat here !!

Fine burgers, milkshakes have a lot to wish for. I was charged almost 5 dollars for a miniature Kidz size milkshake after asking for a medium sized one. Honestly go to BR or else for your milkshake needs. On the bright side a smaller portion does mean I wont gain any weight. #mixedfeelings.

We waited for 5 minutes for some water. Then, every salt and pepper shaker had holes so small that I had to take the lid off of one to get any cutting my finger open on the shaker lid. The only thing they offered was a bandaid. And the usual over priced burgers in which we paid for. Nickel and dimers.

We ordered dinner last night, and I'm impressed with it all. Due to co-vid they provided curb side pick up, I placed an order over the phone before arriving, when I arrived and called them that I was there, they brought it right out and off I went. Took 2 min to pick up. Everything was packaged nicely in individual containers, nothing was soggy and food was delicious! Great service during this time on a Friday night.

A lot of people complaining about price here but we are talking about gourmet burgers here ; you get what you pay for. If you don't like the price go to a fast food joint where you pay less and get less. I've eaten here a few times, it's always delicious and never disappoints! Hidden gem we found by accident while travelling through town. Never had so much fun picking out a meal. There were so many options. Justin was a great server and helped us figure out the menu. Best waiter for sure. The food was great, my water came in a measuring cup ( how fun is that?) and you get unlimited fries...crazy amazing, who gives you unlimited fries? Jen the manager came over after our meal to ask how our experience was . She was super friendly and it was a nice way to end our meal. ...five stars plus.... A fun night out.

Can't say enough how happy I am to find a place that can do both gluten-free and vegan. I was super impressed by the vegan burger creation they made using a Beyond Meat patty. The patty, the forever interesting curation of toppings, and a gluten-free bun, and it felt like I could finally sink my teeth into a delicious and extremely flavourful burger like a non-allergy person! The staff was lovely here as well.

This is my favourite works location out of the 3 I've been too. It was the first one I ever went to, I lived in the apartments on top of this restaurant and as a student at the time came here quiet often. The owners Jenna and I can't remember her partners name were awesome. Customer service is great and food was always good. I've never had a bad burger here. Would recommend if you are in brantford and looking for a place to eat.

My son and I decided to try Brantfords "The Works" restaurant after googling burger places and seeing the great reviews of this location. We were greeted at the door by Matt who seated us promptly and friendly. We ordered the "Juicy Lucy" burger which was absolutely delicious and made fresh to order. Our portion of fries and poutine were above expectation. Everything was just Excellent! I highly recommend trying The Works Brantford and I guarantee you will be back again. Matt was an amazing server and by our discussions, you can tell he cares about his customers and goes above and beyond to make sure they leave happy. See you again soon!

PHENOMENAL SERVICE both over the phone and while picking up. Phenomenal food as well. Best lockdown dinner we’ve had, potentially best take-out we’ve had in a very long time! Everything was perfectly cooked, put together well and tasted BOMB. This is a local burger joint you don’t want to skip over. Ordered the "Tragically maple " burger, with spicy chip cut fries, and a side of deep fried Canadian cheese curds. The entire meal was delicious, the burger was juicy, and definitely was worth a try if you like the maple bacon contrast! The deep fried cheese curds were absolutely delicious, and definately were made of good high quality curds.

The good:Sunday 6:30pm service was impeccable, congrats to the wait staff, you guys were amazing, attentive, helpful and overall a great attitude despite being busy. Hubbies beyond meat burger was 9/10. The bad: very flaccid, leathery sweet potato fries, which looked like they sat under a heat lamp for well over an hour. I sadly watched as hubby choked those down. My Beyond sexy burger was missing the arugula and caramelized onions, the canned pineapple was not a flavourful addition. For a $45 meal of burger and fries, it missed the mark for gourmet quality. Probably won't be returning.

The first time we ordered from The Works, we unfortunately received the wrong order. Most of the time that's handled via Skip The Dishes but instead the supervisor called to apologize and even delivered the order herself which just shows the level of care they have for their customers. The second time we ordered, I got a plain veggie and someone had wrote a cute, funny note on the box; "Don't worry, no one thinks you're boring <3". I really appreciate the little extras they put into such basic interactions.

If I could give negative star ,I would... Visited last time 2 years ago and nothing changed since then. Same sloppy and full of sauce food. Ordered poutin with BBQ sauce, and it came BBQ sauce with poutine. Like 1/3 of the bowl was BBQ sauce. Friend of mine got burger... He said it was the most disgusting burger he ever had. Never again!!! Do something, check what your guests getting from the kitchen!!! ????

The management here could learn a thing or two in customer service, especially when talking to customers and addressing them by their name in a cynical manner. Found a hair in my burger and nothing was ever done about it and that happened 4+ months ago. Edit: Also, the manager in question was Matt and he was very rude and even said the owner would be in contact with us, which never occurred. It seemed like Matt was taking out his belligerent stress on me and my party of 3. Will make sure to mention this to all my co-workers as I wouldn't expect ANYONE to be treated in such a manner after spending upwards of $100 almost every month at this establishment, I can only imagine how badly you treat regulars. Your management needs to take a lesson in customer service and actually listening to what the patron is addressing, instead of trying to blame them for your problematic job.

Finally got round to trying the place out. Ordered a Juicy Lucy burger. Ho these burgers are BIG. I added carmalused onions to it, it was so good. The gravy i got fir my fries has a slightly different flavour (I was told it's actually vegan, gotta say it's one of the better vegan gravy I've had). Got a coupon for complimentary onion rings on next visit. I shall return for sure

Amazing food. Many different burgers for all people. Definitely recommend the “Taste of Heaven” burger for any burger lover. For a real meat lover the “Get Piggy With It” would be first choice. Don’t worry because they have tons of options for vegans, vegetarians, kids and adults. The service is amazing. Every waiter has a smile on there face and no matter how busy, they always come back rather then disappearing for an hour.

Great idea and menu, however my burger came half pink, half cooked and so greasy the soggy bun was inedible. Our server never checked up on us and after 20 min we had to chase her down for the bill. My husband was very ill upon returning home, and we can only assume it was from the burger as we hadn't eaten anything else that day....

We were so excited to bring our group this past Friday, actually we called ahead 3 days prior, 10 of us, 5 adults, 5 children. When I called to make arrangements I specifically asked if 10 is a problem Friday night 6:30pm?... was told "no that will be fine and thanks for the heads up see you then". So disappointed for the restaurant wasn't that busy and we waited over 90 minutes for food after ordering, totally unacceptable! the kitchen seemed out of control and orders were wrong but no one was willing to say anything for we were starving. Hats off to the waitress for trying her best to keep us happy but in the end she knew it was out of her hands, choose another location if you value your time, this isn't an inexpensive option for dinner, so "Works" if you are going to charge a premium deliver a higher level of service! If you are thinking of going here before an event at the Sanderson Centre beside it- DON'T!

Onion rings have a strong onion taste which, in my opinion, is delicious and I don't like onions. Came by again, service was great and the lunch menu is quite affordable. ($12 for a burger and fries including your drink)

Burger was great. Ordered brisket poutine and sadly disappointed. Requested by sause on the side and poutine on side and was told np. Reason for request so fries didn't set soggy on way home. Didn't happen so will try another place next time. My suggestion is to honor requests or don't make them.

I really love the idea of how you can essential create your own burger here; from the toppings, to the buns, and even the patties. It is a bit pricey, yes, hence the word gourmet in their name. They have tons of different burgers and the naming schemes are hilarious and quite fitting. Service is prompt and attentive. The garnishes they use are fresh and top quality. I recommend the elk patty.

So yummy and a fun place to eat. Hard to make a choice of the so many burgers but the waitress was great at helping narrow it down. Big kudos to the hostess when we arrived they were lined up out the door, she took everyone's name in line and told us she'd be back and let us know how long the wait would be. When she came back she professionally addressed each group individually with how long their wait would be. Staff was good, atmosphere good and belly is full from way too much good food.

Went with husband and infant on a Saturday night around 6:30. Only had to wait for about 10 minutes (they don't take reservations). The manager came out with samples of hot fries for all the people waiting and was super friendly! You know what.. he looks a bit like the psycho guy they added to Brooklyn 99 in season 4... Jason Mantzoukas... but he wasn't psycho. He was really nice. Our server was great as well. We'll 100% go back to this location.

Every now and again you experience service that is above and beyond the norm. That is definitely the case for The Works in Brantford. You wouldn’t expect this kind of service or attention from the average restaurant but these guys take their job seriously. And how often do you get looked after by the owner. All the staff here are fantastic. They have a great attention to detail and want to make you happy at any cost. The food here was fantastic and better than we have experienced at other Works burger restaurants. Our family had three different variations and all were superb. The chips with dipping sauces were also very good and so tasty. If you are in the area, skip the usual fast food burger joints and treat yourself to an exceptional burger and outstanding service. You gotta eat here !!

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal together at The Works! A Barking Squirrel and a Caesar began our experience, and both my War Pig and her Elk on a Beech were delicious. Bit of a rip off for what you get. Server tries to "up sell" everything. Basically a smaller Wendys burger fancied up arugula and aeoli. Those two things quickly turn a $5 burger into a $20 burger. Nothing fancy about it being served on a prison camp tray.

Great food and fantastic service! On what clearly was a busy Mother's Day evening for the restaurant, my spouse picked up an order for our family. When my husband got home with the order, we realized that there was an error with my burger so I wasn't able to eat it. However, I called the restaurant and the manager (or owner?) got on the phone and apologized sincerely! When I said that my husband would come and pick up the new burger, the manager told me not to worry and he would drop off a completely new order to my house right away, even though he knew that I live in Paris. I received a replacement order for the whole family at my door in maybe 20 mins or less!

I got the blues burger and it was pretty good! I love the atmosphere of the burger place. This is not your average burger place. The drinks are bottomless and sodas are served in measuring cups, super neat. Another cool feature is that the fries are bottomless. All in all I really enjoyed the experience and while the burger wasn't my absolute favourite, the selection of burgers makes it worth a second shot.

Went in just before the lunch hour, there was only one table with customers in the whole place, thought great, we should get good service. Server brought us our drinks and took our order in a timely fashion. Then the wait happened.....almost a half hour later they seated a young couple in our section, took their order, then 25 minutes later, they got their food. When I then questioned the server about our meal he rudely said it was coming when it comes. When I pointed out that the young couple got their food in a timely manner his response was 'ya, so?' So we got up and left, hour wasted, and no food. So disappointed that in times like these where restaurants are struggling, that the server treated us so rudely. EDIT: went back today for a takeout dinner, which I ordered and paid for online. Was shocked when the manager noticed the name on the order and remembered my first review from a month ago. He apologized for the behavior of his employee and had sat down and had a talk with all the employees. Kudos to this restaurant for taking the time to make me feel like I mattered! I am pleased to say the meal today was prepared ontime, and was delicious! Keep up the great work!

one of my favourites to order off of skip the dishes, my food is always hot and delicious! The die cut chips and nutella milkshake are my favourites (I’m not much of a burger person, I’ve always been a side kind of girl loll, but would recommend the chicken fight club for anyone in the same boat as me) the instructions I put in the side notes are always followed. I usually order a side of gravy and ask for it to be a sauce instead, because I was unsure if they charge for it or not but today someone wrote on my box that I could just ask for it in the comments on my chips because and all dips are free instead of paying for the gravy,which is def gonna save me a few dollars in the long run!! So thank you for that little note whoever wrote that I appreciate it lol!! Also thank you for the great, consistent service!!

I work in Brantford 2 days a Week, teaching at a Higher Ed Institution. When I go for lunch, in Downtown Brantford. There is Only One place to Go. And that is The Works! The Food is Amazing. I teach Business Analytics. I can't tell you how many Different Combinations of hamburgers they have ! But they also have great Salads. Try their Greek Chicken salad. Did I mention the Staff is Great. The Owner/Cook comes out to see how you like the food. Mention Superman, and you will get a quick History of Everything Superman! The Waiting Staff are Incredible. They Remember your Order and give great suggestions, knowing your eating habits. It is THE Place to Eat Downtown !

I've been to a few Works locations in the GTA since the chain first opened and by far this was the best experience I have had in a very long time. I was thinking of changing my mind from what I always get, but I have to judge a Works by how their Malibu Meltdown is. It was also the best I've had in a very long time - thank you for not being stingy on the Beechhouse sauce! The people I was with had fries as their side and they looked absolutely perfect. I typically get the Caesar Salad but was only slightly disappointed that the croutons are no longer made in-house (I love the old croutons). But it was still delicious. I wanted to leave a review mostly to praise Justin, our absolutely amazing server. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he was very personable and friendly - to the point where I wish we could have stayed longer! THANK YOU JUSTIN! I just wish Brantford wasn't that far so I could go back :)

I'm not even sure this restaurant deserves 1 star. Incredibly disappointed with the service, cleanliness and overall quality of the food. Not only did we wait at lengths for our drinks and even longer to order the food - once the food arrived, there were various issues and errors with our orders. Which resulted in waiting even longer. The Chef admitted he forgot a "signature mayo" on one of the burgers. With the prices of this restaurant. I'd expect the quality to be a lot better. I would not recommend eating at this restaurant. However, I have been to other Works restaurants and the service & quality have been better.

My fiance' and I moved to Brantford not long ago. Figured we would give the works a try. We ordered 3 burgers a couple poutines and a fries. One of the poutines was ordered with the gravy and cheese curds on the side. The hostess gave us our order we got in the car and drove away. About 30 seconds later the phone rang and it was a nice lady saying they forgot to put the cheese and gravy in the bag. I quickly turned around and as I got to the store front ghe manager came running out. I hadn't even stopped the car yet. She apologized and gave me a free onion rings for next visit. Spot on customer service. Turning a mistake into a 5* experience. Great person to have on your staff! I'll be back.

The burger patty was a smash burger patty and was topped with delicious ingredients. The star was the Jalapeños on the burger, however, it wasn't overwhelming and tasted great.

First time here this past weekend, and first time having Work's in about 3 years. Service was good, our waitress was always on top of things from taking our app order, to re-filling our drinks. My partner discovered a hair in his food half way thru his burger, which unfortunately lost his appetite with that and kind of soured the experience. however no questions asked and his meal was removed from the bill, even though they opted to make him a fresh meal. Def would've been a 5 star experience otherwise.

We went to get lunch outside of the lunch rush, there was only one other person waiting for his food. When the manager saw our group of 5, including 2 kids, he said the sign (one of many, very wordy and small print) on the door said only 2 people from each group can come in, which we obviously missed instead of choosing to disobey willfully. We were just turning around to decide which adult to send out with the kids, taking all of 5 seconds, the manager came around again to tell us off beligerantly that we needed to leave. A person in our party needed to use the washroom and was told it was not open, even though the patron in front of us just used it. The manager shouldn't have used us as an outlet for whatever stress he was under.

The interior design is nice and well designed with modern and classic elements around the whole place The food is simply delicious. The burgers... My gosh. I bit into one and I immediately knew: this is the best gosh damn burger I've had in years. The place is great for families, or lonesome wanderers alike, and has plenty of space. The service was incredibly fast and the waiters were nice and patient. Plenty of light in the place as well. Not the cheapest place though, but well worth the price. I fully recommend this place.

Quirky atmosphere with friendly staff. Family friendly. Free refills on pop including the fries! Come during lunch time to take advantage of the great meal deal for $12! I really liked the juicy lucy burger and the measuring cups. You can count how many liters, millimeters or cups of pop you drank. Really an eye opener on your diet.
