Lovely place with great coffee and food. I've been going since I was in high school and have nothing but positive experiences. Avoid going during high school lunch times if you're looking to avoid a crowd.

Lovely little café located in an older home - careful! If you blink, you'll miss it and have to turn around. On street and limited parking beside & behind the building. WiFi is free, but you'll have to ask for the password. No dog(s) in residence ???? The staff are pleasant, willing to explain the difference between various teas, make recommendations regarding food, and they smile a lot! Prices aren't cheap (this isn't a Tim's!), but not expensive either. Good selection of food and desserts, and an impressive selection of tea (the peach rose is nice, but the rose is only a hint).

Comfortable atmosphere. Employees were friendly. Beverages and baked goods were great. I'll definitely have to return again, especially once the board game library they have is available for use (not in use when I went, due to covid). So many board games!

Cool cafe in Brantford that makes the perfect study spot! They have outlets, WiFi and an ambient atmosphere. They do also have board games BUT they cost like $5 per person to play so that was kind of a bummer. The salmon bagel and london fog were delicious and the strawberry fruit square was a great pair with the latte. Food was reasonably priced for a cafe like this and it has plenty of seating. Would come again to get some schoolwork done :)

The place is nicely decorated and cozy. I don't find the coffee to be anything special but it's still good. Got a fancy mocha once and it tasted like water. Always a very long wait if you order a breakfast sandwich or something. Sometimes you're waiting 15 minutes for a sandwich that doesn't even have mayo on it!! But it's a nice place to sit for a relaxing coffee in a artsy little place.

One of the few hip coffee joints in Brantford. Spacious and friendly, in a cool residential area. They have pretty much everything you would expect from an independent coffee house.

The quality of the food here is excellent! We always go whenever my mother-in-law visits, she insists on it, and is always happy with their coffee (or macchiato or whatever it is she gets). :) Also, they did an excellent job Sharpening our Kitchen Knives! Another service they offer. Turn around was very quick, faster than they quoted (I think it ended up being 1 day). They work great now. :)

Best coffee in town. I am in love with their medium roast! The breakfast burritos are delicious. And I haven't been disappointed yet with any of their frozen/cold coffees and teas I've tried. I'm glad I moved closer and get to go there as often as I do. I just wish they were open earlier on mornings I have to be out the door by 630! Support local business and grab yourself a delicious cup of coffee!

Great atmosphere, food and ambiance. Having an outdoor patio is great during the summer and it's a great space to hold small to medium size meetings with community groups, prospects, co-workers and clients.

This is a cute spot. I really like the coffee, menu items, and the decor. There is a board game wall and the artistic atmosphere is always changing with different paintings from (local?) artists. Overall, its cozy... I usually come in on Monday's and I have to say that the Monday staff are not very welcoming. They barely acknowledge when you come to the counter and seem annoyed that they have to make you coffee! I hate to complain because I too work in customer service, but some advice? A smile goes a looong way!!! ????????

Craig, Marie and the staff at the Blue Dog in Brantford have catered meetings for me on numerous occasions. Each and every time, the food is outstanding and everyone raves about the quality, service and selection of food choices. They have several alternative options to satisfy many dietary restrictions. I highly recommend using them for your next event and especially the ginger spice cookies!

They make you pay a game fee to play the board games that they have which is crazy. They are board games not an arcade. They should be free

We were visiting from Out of town and like others we have the same complaint regarding a game fee - first there is no posting of a fee nor any indication on the tables, or amount, otherwise we would have passed. Second, it has left us with a poor impression of your cafe given that we actually have been to cafes with similar game or card game type offerings in NYC, Chicago and even Toronto. To the owner of Blue Dog; you are incorrect most cafes that offer board games do not charge a fee they normally have a food minimum or time limits so folks don’t sit there all day. Also, not sure what clientele you have but most folks would be respectful not to damage or destroy. Might want to consider a rethink as it not worth losing business or damaging your brand when your main business is coffee. I must confess it is a bit odd when you think we spent over 50 dollars in your place and stayed 35 minutes and the girl behind us bought a coffee and used your internet for over two hours(we overheard her say she was there since noon). For others reading this post - food was good and so was our coffee - no complaints - the one star is for how staff made a family of four feel - the idea is to want to return not write long reviews.

I love this place for meeting with Sales Reps and other Industry professionals who are from out of town. It gets me out of the office and we enjoy coffee or tea and a nice lunch. I have been going here for years and the food is good (though I think some food items are not made by Blue Dog like the quiche) and the tea is great loose leaf tea. I also purchase bags of beans to take home and the coffee is always tasty. It is a nice quaint location with limited seating and limited parking. There is always street parking if the back lot and side parking area is full. A great spot for a quick lunch meeting.

when i walked in i almost walked right back out because it smelled worse than a garbage dump inside. i have no clue what could have been causing the smell but it was so bad i had to hold my breath. thank goodness for masks. the scone i had was very small and not baked well at all. coffee was so so. staff was nice, just wish the quality of the food/drink was better. i sat outside and the patio was clean with lots of spots to sit.

Always love this place but was very disappointed today. As my friend and I were there for lunch and going over some school work, we were kicked out as she was still eating and had half of her wrap left. We spent collectively $35 and were going to spend more as I was going to buy lunch as well. Although the staff politely asked for us to leave, I found it inappropriate for them todo so. They had just had a lunch rush, mainly of high school students but they had all left by the time they told us to leave, and there was only 1 couple in line getting food. Overall very disappointed in the experience today.

Good coffee. Felt the food was a bit over priced for what you get. However, it's good quality so I don't mind. Wish the staff was a bit better trained in the products. They seemed a bit lost when I asked about the different coffee beans and just read me what it said on the labels. On a positive note, I'm very happy with their coffee. Not burned-strong like Starbucks and more flavourful than Tim Horton's.

I live close by to Blue Dog, before making my way to class in the mornings, I make sure to grab my caffeine fix from there. It's actually a really cozy spot to sit and do some reading, the staff are really friendly, overall the atmosphere is pretty relaxing.

Order the quiche and coffee. The coffee was great and the quiche was okay. My friend order the smoked salmon bagel and he said it was great. The atmosphere was great. Looks to be in an older home with high ceilings. Very unique and would recommend!

The staff are very kind and the food is delicious. The Santa Fe wrap was recommended and it was exactly what I needed as a vegetarian. They sanitize the tables and the bathrooms are very clean

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars then I would. My friends son and his friends were treated disgustingly. One boy was visually impaired and was disrespected because of his visual challenge. In a day with so much hate and negativity you would think a restaurant would be one place these boys can go to and get treated with respect. So disappointing.

There is a variety of take home items including coffee beans. Only issue, not enough seating! Parking lot only has 5 spots at the back of the house, another issue. Will be back! Must visit during non peak time.

Was not an enjoyable cappuccino; poor presentation and flavour. Restaurant was nice and what I expected it to be. I would give this shop another try except the other two people with me had the same impression. I'm forced to go back to Starbucks, but with less of a grimace this time.

This Cafe is amazing . I absolutely love the food, the best hot chocolate in all of Brantford ( and I have tried 10 other places hot chocolate). Its the perfect place to go and have lunch with a friend and catch up. They have board games and cozy chairs.. love love love it. I have been going for over 7 years now and look forward to many more

The coffee was excellent. We had to sit in the patio because one of us was not carrying their proof of Vax. Patio was very sunny with little shade, and fronts on Brant Ave. Traffic noise makes conversations difficult.

First time visit after going to the Brantford market. Very disappointed in the cappuccino, it had way too much milk and almost no coffee taste. I ordered the small and it was a 12 oz cup filled to the top! This is not a cappuccino!

They have a little gift shop of coffee and tea things and you can get coffee to go in bags to take home and make your own . We go there regularly my best friend and I on Friday every 4 weeks and we have never been disappointed.

Had a business meeting today and spent 5 hours here. The coffee and tea selection was varied and had something for everyone. We each had two different hot beverages. Everything was delicious. My friend had the spinach salad with pecans and crazins. I had the cheesy cauliflower soup and Greek salad. Lunch had generous portions and was created fresh to order with some modifications. The atmosphere was quiet enough to work and yet there was a low level of conversation and ambient noise so it was comfortable to speak to each other without having to raise our voices. All of the staff were pleasant and courteous. I will definitely stop back in when i visit Brantford.

Our office LOVES the Blue Dog! They have the best food, wonderful staff, and great prices. We always use them for our staff luncheons and meetings with our reps. Great atmosphere, fast service. My first time ordering food, I had the the Buffalo chicken wrap with caesar salad. Wrap and salad very fresh and delicious. I ordered an an additional small caesar it was so good. Had a iced Caramel mocha with my meal was very good. For dessert had peanut butter brownie cheesecake was amazing.
