Delicious Chinese food. Every time I get a craving, I order take out from this restaurant. Owner is very friendly. Staff is always polite and the food is YUM! Huge fan of the general tao chicken, beef fried rice, egg and spring rolls. The chicken balls are also delish! The portion sizes are generous in terms of take-out. Should you eat here? Yes!

Made the mistake of ordering for Christmas Eve dinner at 4pm and was told it wouldn't arrive until 7:15pm. 7:30pm we called and was told it would be there in 20 minutes, half an hour later it still hadn't arrived so called again. This time was told it was in the cab. Finally at 8:35pm our food arrived and everything was burnt and egg rolls instead of the spring rolls we ordered. No discount for being 5 and a half hours after ordering, will not order from there on Christmas Eve again.

I ordered sweet and sour pork take-out 4 days ago. The portion was big, pork was fresh, and it was served hot in about 6 minutes. The entire dish was lean meat. I think the pork would taste better if a bit of fat was left on the meat. This item is excellent for the price.

It's not that great, when I phone order they said 2 hours before I can pick it up. Showed up and it wasn't ready....over an hour later along with a few other people told the same story and it wasn't even that busy. Thats over 3 hours for nothing. Won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend this place, always another 10 min but no food ever come so I went home.

We always order from Oriental. It's the best Chinese food in Brantford up until the last 3 times I have allergic reaction to Styrofoam and ask for them not to use it. 1 time; replaced it, did say sorry, but family could not eat together 2 time; replaced, didn't say sorry and family could not eat together 3 time; my word against person who took order, after talking did get it replaced, no sorry I will say the last sorry ... I will NOT call again

Me and my husband have been living in Kitchener for about 4 years now. We have had such bad luck in finding a place for us to like as we would always look for the same from our home town in New Brunswick but it never came until one night while talking to a friend said go try the Oriental so we decided to drive the 40 min to come try it. Well...we where not disappointed now it's our favorite place to go we give it a 5 stars and the prices are excellent and the waitress are so friendly!! So we definitely recommend The Oriental!!!

What happened to this place. This was always my favourite place to order chinese from. Always gave it great reviews and recommended everyone to eat here. Havent had chinese in a couple of years and had a craving today. Ordered wonton soup and dinner for one. Soup was really good but my dinner was horrible. The eggroll was thrown in the same dish with the meal and was all soggy and full of sauce from the sweet and sour ribs. The food smelt and tasted burnt like someone burned it and tried to scrape the burnt part away. So so disappointed. Dont think I'll be eating chinese food for awhile. Just turned right off of it now. That was a waste of $10.00.

Honestly so disgusted with this restaurant. My fiance was just at this restaurant to pick up his order. He was treated so rudely. We were waiting for 45 minutes for our order. When he showed up he asked how long it would be because there were several people waiting ahead of him. The lady said "as long as it takes." He was not pleased but said nothing. He didn't want retaliation on the food! She asked if he would like to pay ahead of the order. He did. Then he proceeded to wait another twenty minutes! He ended up complaining and getting his money back. Never again!

The best Chinese place ever. I live in Ottawa and love coming back to the Oriental because no where does it like they do. The Almond soo guy is to die for. Lots of places try to make it and usually it's just some fried chicken with lame gravy over top. At the oriental, it's its own thing. Chicken fillets breaded, with the most amazing mushroom gravy over top. Seriously, try it! Nowhere does it like this place

Absolutely disgusting! I've had better food from the mall. The prices are too high for the crap that was delivered which, btw, arrived cold. SAVE YOUR MONEY- order elsewhere. The s/s pork was dry and overcooked to the point of being hard and chewy and honestly just un-eatable. The General chicken is a joke.. BBQ sauce? Really??? Who the hell is in charge of that kitchen? The S/S chicken balls and breaded shrimp were undercooked and doughy. Unlike the pork that they over cook, or just recycle the next day or two .. Yeeuck, worst meal ever!! The

Oriental restaurant used to be a good restaurant back in the old days. These days they have no idea what good customer service is beyond sending food to the table. Tonight I got a delivery of a large bowl of wanton soup, 2 egg rolls and a coke. When I tried to eat the soup I had to spit a pce of pork out because it was just on the verge of being rancid. My son tried it and agree. When I called to tell the manager he started to try and argue with me about the soup and was trying to talk over me when I was explaining that I had been giving his restaurant my business for the last 35 years and had never had a bowl of soup that made me spit it out. He says Ive been serving soup all day and no one complained and I said thats it exactly and its the end of the day and your soup went bad and I paid good money for a bad bowl of soup on a day when the temps went over 33. All he could do was make excuses and didnt even offer to pay me back or send another bowl of soup because its my fault the quality of his restaurant has taken a nose dive in the last few years. He argued with me instead of giving me good customer service and ended up telling me I get nothing,after I told him that he should stop hollering and listen to the customer. I threw their rancid soup down the toilet and so I paid 20 dollars for a can of coke and 2 eggrolls that also were not fresh. The restaurants dirty and this is the last time I will ever order from there. They were always a bunch of idiots anyway even when the restaurant was at the other location back in the 70s.

Only been here once and was referred by co-workers who have lived in Brantford longer than I have. They claimed it was the best in Brantford. I've only been to one other Chinese restaurant and can confirm that Oriental is better than the other one! I've only gotten takeout but have been inside and it has a nice interior space. Dim lighting and looks more classy than other local and cheap Chinese restaurants. They had a Christmas tree set up due to the season, which was nice. The food we had was good. Better than the other restaurant we frequent and we ordered the same dishes we always do. Decently priced as well. Good takeout service, although there is not much to say about that, other than they weren't rude and they did not mess up our order. I would highly recommend.
