Love Nine North. A true gem in downtown Brantford. Not only is their food good they go over and above to make you happy. I had ordered on one occasion and I was not happy with the order. I called the restaurant and they said they would make up for it on our next order. A few weeks later I called and they remembered their promise. I was very happy. Excellent food. Great customer service.

Small restaurant with excellent service! Very clean, appropriate social distancing & mask protocols followed. Really good food! The coconut milkshake tastes a bit toasted - it is the best I've had to date! and I've been to quite a few Viet-Thai restaurants!!! Parking is on the street, max 2 hrs. No idea about WiFi. I'll definitely be back! ☺

Tofu rolls are terrible. Had absolutely ZERO taste. Some salt in the the noodles, some salt and spices in the Tofu batter, a little sauce inside the rolls. SOMETHING to give it some flavour!

I’m front Stoney Creek and moved to Brantford about 5 years ago and have been searching for a pad Thai that meets my expectations from a place back home. Finally, FINALLY I have found it! The taste is impeccable, the amount of food for the cost! The best part is my boyfriend likes spicy food. Whenever I order something spicy for him I tell the person make it like you’re trying to kill him and usually he doesn’t even react. Nine North he got five peppers and he was sweating throughout his meal. He was thoroughly impressed. I can say you have a two returning customers here. Keep doing what you’re doing cause you do it amazingly!

We ordered the Crab Rangoon, Veg Pad Thai and their special rice. The Crab Rangoon was great but the pad Thai was watered down the special rice was bland. I am surprised how they can mess up these common dishes. The ambience and staff was exceptional but the food spoilt everything. I'm going to give it one more try before giving up.

Menu is far too small to operate a full-size restaurant. They should stick to a small counter of takeout and their prices are way expensive for pho. I don't consider a plate of fried rice dinner but that's what's on offer or Pho soups

Have been steadily visiting this restaurant for both lunch and dinners since it has opened. I tend to stick with my favorites (and things that I have love from other Viet/Thai food places). Therefore my favorites are the shrimp spring rolls and the Pho chicken soup. The smallest soup is so large that it lasts me for two meals! I have tried their Pad Thai, but there is really only one place that I will order it from in Cambridge. Prices are very reasonable, the decor is very nice, service is great and fast. I know at some point I will expand my choices and order other things too.

Absolutely amazing food and service. It is the type of place where when you phone you don't feel like you are talking to a worker. They remember details about you from the phone call. I even got mother's Day chocolates because I mentioned my wife. They tried to inform me of how spicy and unique the food was to make sure I was ok and would be happy with what I ordered. My wife is Chinese so that's exactly what I wanted to hear. She loved her meal and couldn't stop talking about it. We are definitely going back. They got a customer for life.

Have gone twice and had great experiences both times. This restaurant is so good that we made a special trip to downtown Brantford just to eat dinner at this restaurant. Food, service and the ambiance in the restaurant are great. Plus, it's right next to the Sanderson Centre.

The atmosphere is nice and cozy, but even better is the food and service. The staff was super friendly and helpful in suggestions, especially for making the green curry and pad thai spicier. They went above and beyond for sure. The food was fresh and delicious. The spring rolls seemed like they were made in-house, better than alot of places downtown TO. I'd go back for sure.

Before I start writing this review, I want to make a statement, that is this review is completely honest, there was no side influence in this review at all. The environment is very homey, staying at this place definitely feels like home, everything is clean (ignore the photo where the light cover seems dirty, it's not), staff are friendly, the service overall is faster than the other two cuisines I went to (check out my other reviews if you want to know which ones I am talking about). Food is great. For phos and soups, the content in them was awesome. I had phos with beef, beef balls, and shrimps, there were just unlimited amount of beef slices in there. The content in a regular sized bowl is what you would get in a large sized bowl in every other cuisine, amazing. The noodles (or pho, I still have no idea what "pho" actually means) in the soup are very tasty as well. According to my mother, the espresso taste amazing! Don't judge by its amount though, according to the staff there, it is very strong. I can't really give an opinion because I personally don't drink coffee. Now, are you ready for some critiques? These critiques are minor, but I think this place can improve some more. 1. Make the menu more, um, menu-ie? Right now the menu is just a giant paper card board which only has text on it, I feel like a menu with some pictures of the food will explain what the food actually looks like. I've been to couple of viet thai cuisines already so I know what they would've look like, what if this is the first time someone has tried it? 2. For the pho I had, with all the delicious noodles and very full content aside, the soup is a bit too salty, eat more salt than others, and I still think of this way, I am not sure what others would think. On the level between 1 - 10 of saltiness, it would be a 11 for me. 3. Still based on the pho I had, the beef slices were a bit overcooked, so its softness is lost. 4. The lights on top of the sofas are a bit distracting to my perspective, but it's really just my perspective though. Don't get me wrong, I know the store literally just opened up, and the critiques really make me look like a dbag who is purposefully making this place look bad; however I really do love this environment, and I would totally recommend people to come here, and I would totally come back again, I'd just to love to see this cuisine become better so everyone is happy at the end. P.S. I rarely ever give out 5 stars, I'm just being really me I guess.

Nine North is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Brantford. The food is amazing and the service is exceptional. The restaurant has nice ambience and modern decor. They offer Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. I’ve been a big fan from the beginning. Even when I don’t have time to dine in, I call ahead and order pick-up. You can tell they really take pride in having quality ingredients. I usually get the Create your own Pho. You get to pick from three items. I love the broth! It’s always full of flavour, and you get good portions of beef. For garnish, it comes with bean sprouts, lime, mint, and basil, which are always fresh. The Pho is definitely my go-to dish. But other must-try dishes are the calamari, coconut shrimp and Pad Thai. They won’t disappoint!

Most important is the food, clear broth Vietnamese style noodle pho is very delicious, fresh. And rice with grilled chicken, beef and shrimp has its own taste tip with saute scallion and some fresh vegetable, for the appetizer fresh mango salad with sweet and citrus sauce top with crushed peanut combination of mango, red onion, red paper bell and carrot. Can't get any better then this, located conveniently in the heart of downtown Brantford, beautiful neighborhood, light, great place to have night out walk and eat at Bine North. If you haven't try this restaurant yet, I would highly recommended to give it a try, and you won't regrets it. The owner are very friendly, very caring. Such a great excellent service. The owner greet the customer in a very friendly manner, giving the great feeling as a customer. I will definitely come back again.

This place is excellent! I order the special pho, bun bo hue, and pad Thai. It was all really fresh and delicious. The bun bo hue was spicy and had authentic flavours. The pho broth was to die for and I can tell they used lots of beef bones for the broth unlike other places. The pad thai was tasty, and portions were generous for everything. The customer service was on point and they seem to take your concerns seriously. I have to say that the restaurant is very clean even the washrooms. The decor was nice too. I can’t wait to come back to this restaurant but for dining in.

Oh my!!! Where do I start??... this place is heaven! We wanted to go out for date night with my husband after 1+ year of not leaving our place ???? and we decided to go to the "pho place" and what a great idea!!!! The service ladies are soooo nice!!! And the food omg!!!!! Best pho soup we have tried in Ontario! The vermicelli? Omg!!! Who knew that a salad could be so freaking delicious and flavourful! Now I'm obssesed!! Every week we have "take out night" and after cisiting this place every week we've ordered vermicelli from them????. The atmosphere is amazing too, prices just right and the quality of the food is outstanding!!! Everything was fresh and ridiculously delicious! My favorite place in Brantford! Oh and we always order extra peanut dipping sauce because I need to eat it with everything lol sooo delicious!!!!!!!!!!!! Kuddos to the kitchen staff!!!! What a rock star you are!!!!

We were a party of 3 and decided to try this new restaurant for lunch. The place filled up very quickly and the food orders all looked delicious. We ordered the vermicelli noodle bowls with a spring roll and shrimp and chicken. It was delicious and very flavourful. One of us order shrimp field rice and she was very disappointed in her meal. It was a huge plate of rice with some diced shrimp put in it. Not much else...and it did not look like the picture on the menu.

The Pad Thai was as good as any I ever had in South East Asia and terrific portions (we had to bring home). As a surprise, they have an offsite baker and they brought out a shared desert as a gift to the experience. Fresh black tea was refreshing to cap the evening. Will be recommending!

My wife and I have been here twice now. The staff are very knowledgeable about gluten allergies and can accommodate where possible. The menu specifies what is gluten free, but be sure to tell the wait staff if your allergic and they will look after you. Nine North is a gem in Brantford's downtown area. It features exceptional Vietnamese cuisine; accompanied with superb ambiance. We ordered a few appetizers and among those the Viet grilled meatballs stood out for the blast of flavour. The spring rolls were okay, but need a boost in flavour profile. Service was exceptional and on point. Our server had to visit the table many times to refill water. I suggest leaving each table a jug of water to make it easier for yourselves. I had the rare beef pho and wow I was impressed. My pho was loaded with beef and noodles and it was delicious. I recommend their pho to first timers and regulars of Viet cuisine. Overall, Nine North is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Brantford, if not the best.

Just finished eating and had to rate while we in here!!! The reviews definitely coincide with this spot. Got the Crab Ragoon, Tom Yum, and chicken Pad Thai. I dislike tofu, esp when they put it in Pad Thais -- guess what, didnt even need to ask them to hold the tofu because the chicken Pad Thai didnt come with it anyways!!! This was a big deal FOR ME. Love their take on adding chopped asparagus in the Pad Thai. It was incorporated nicely. This meal came up $42 with tax. Not bad for dinner for 2 :)

Affordable, delicious and accommodating - my husband is adventurous when it comes to flavours and I am not. I don’t like spicy foods, nor do I like seafood or tofu. Going out for Asian food is always an issue and I don’t want to be a difficult patron with my requests! The waitress told me exactly what veggies were in the Pad Thai and kept it mild. The portion size was massive- it will tide me over for 2 more meals! My husband finished his giant Pho and said it was delicious, although they were out of Thai basil this time. Compared to other Thai places in town, the portions were larger, the price was better, the food was more flavourful, the substitutions were easier, and my Pad Thai had more veggies and sauce than the competiton. We will be back!

I have lived in Brantford for 15 years. Always leave the city for authentic Viet-Thai. Until now. Nine North is exactly what you expect out of an authentic eatery. The Pho is surpassed by none. Truly the best I've had. The pad thai is amazing. The bun (my personal fave, comes with two choices of meat) exceeds my expectations every time. I don't usually review restos, but with this experience, I just couldn't help it. The staff were incredibly friendly, service was fast. I really love the modern clean look of this establishment. The chef and owner even came out to ask how our experience was. I guarantee if you Nine North, you will be craving many return visits!

We stopped for lunch at NineNorth before a production at the Sanderson Centre. The location is perfect.......almost next door. What a treat! We enjoy Viet-Thai cusine, but our experience here was extra-special. The atmosphere was wonderful.....tastefully decorated with lovely easy-listening tunes playing in the background. The service couldn’t have been better. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. He even surprised me with fresh rolls instead of deep fried.....compliments of a smiling chef. The very best service and fresh, made-to-order food! Nine North has a simplified menu, which is unique from other Viet-Thai restaurants, and is appreciated because those menus are so overwhelming! Their fresh spring rolls are served with a decadent, savoury peanut sauce, and their vermicelli bowl is my favourite; you can adapt it with whatever you're craving at the time. I also really love their soups; the serving size is enormous and more than enough for two to share!

Really classy and exceptionally clean environment that's noticeable as soon as you walk in the front door, they've done a great job making sure it's customer friendly prior to opening rather than being halfway ready to go. Food there is delicious, I think my husband could have eaten a dish of everything on the menu, he had the vermicelli with 3 types of meat and it was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The pho there was great. Was served piping hot with all the trimmings and the rare beef was perfectly done. The plain text menus feel like they're not representative of the fantastic food that's served . Pictures would help because the food is really great and if you're not familiar with that food you're kinda guessing at what you're ordering

The food is always fresh and not overcooked. I had the Tom yum shrimp soup, the portion was very large, the broth was excellent. I had them add extra veg for 3 dollars and it was loaded. We also shared the squid which is a favourite of my partner's as she likes the crunchy well spiced coating. Also had the deep fried spring rolls which I find delicious. The drink menu is lacking and could use a little thought. Overall we love the place for a quick and tasty meal in a modern ambianced d restaurant .

My friend and I were so impressed with the food here. I was really pleased to walk into such a stylishly decorated venue as some Vietnamese restaurants in the area aren't really appealing aesthetically. This place is lovely. Service was really attentive and personal. We opted to try 3 dishes: the Tom Yum was the best we've ever had! The red curry was so delicious and flavourful and finally the crispy noodles with shrimp was also delectable. We highly recommend this Brantford restaurant.

Nine north in general is a nice place. However, my only complaint would be the inconsistency of their food. Sometimes they serve you excellent fresh rolls, but next time you order again - dry and shrinky rolls with an unpleasant aftertaste. Same goes with their pho that’s typically nice and balanced, and then you might suddenly get served over salted or bland pho. Also they tend to get quite busy during certain days and only would have one waitress circling the entire restaurant, many times it’d take this waitress 20 min minimum to serve you a glass of water.

We got the Red curry with beef, mango with shrimp, cashew with tofu, BUT, not much food for 50.00 considering that anywhere else, for 50.00 you get enough to feed four or five people. The vegetarian spring rolls were NOT Good. We got three orders (6 spring rolls) at 4.99 per order, and they’re actually the worst spring rolls I’ve ever had. Mealy inside, mushy and flavorless. Will hesitate before going again. Another “yummy” spot on colborne street has equally tasty, fresh food for a better deal.

So yummy and filling! The deep fried spring rolls are the biggest I've seen. The mango salad was amazing. And then soup (Nine North Special)... I ordered a regular size. I do not want to see a large. Went in today for the first time. The food was great and it was a generous portion. The MAJOR problem was that a staff member thought it would be a good idea to start mopping the floor while we were eating. The worst part was that they were using bleach which is definitely what you DONT want to smell as your eating. Was extremely put off by this. This is something that should never happen again because I guarantee anyone else would feel the same as me.

The food is still quite good, but when Nine North opened there were a ton of gluten free options. Now, although their menu still claims it is the same their options are drastically reduced. It is very disappointing as my celiac family members weren't able to have the same excellent choice as they used to. A newly opened gem! Service was super efficient, and friendly. We tried the Pad Thai, Shrimp Rolls and Crab Rangoon, ALL of which were amazing. The Pad Thai (and I would now only assume other main dishes) portions are very generous, I had plenty left to take as leftovers for lunch the next day. I must be honest since I live in the GTA and there are literally pho places everywhere, this place is way too expensive and serves Poor quality food too. Instead of trying to make the place look like a fine dining spot, why not improve the food? The pho was not pho, the broth had an unusual strong taste and Ive never seen this type of meat served in a pho soup either. Usually they are thin pieces of meat these were big chunks of fatty beef. There were chunks of carrots which again I have never seen in pho and the overall flavour was odd. People don’t care about how expensive your place looks since Asian food should be very affordable, they care about the portion and flavours! Will not be returning.

Food is good , staff is redundant, forgot my drink., got there for a date and not even a min after getting the menu a second waitress came to take order .... way too fast. 2 different waitresses came to ask if we wanted water in less then a min.
