We ordered from here tonight, and wouldn’t again. Maybe it was bad because it’s take out only right now. When I called to place the order, we were made to feel like it was a huge inconvenience. I almost hung up, and now wish I had. Even when we picked up, I was not met with friendly service, I was given the impression that they didn’t want to be open. I ordered the butter chicken and it was gross. I wish I could post the picture of what it looked like. I ate two bites and threw it out. Normally I wouldn’t base a decision on one dish at a restaurant, however the food combined with the service we received is what won’t bring us back.

Food quality was great, varied menu items to cater to all guests. Whenever seating guests napkins, side plates and cutlery should be a given. Guests should not have to ask for these items. Great accompanient having live music with local entertainment Jeff Harding.

Made a reservation on the web site, got a confirmation email. Went to the restaurant and was told they don’t use their website anymore for reservations. When I said “then why was I able to make one?” The answer was “I only work here one day a week.” We went to the works across the street where they’re always great.

We just had the most amazing meal that we have ordered through skip the dishes yet. Wow! The spinach dip! With those pretzel bites! The grill cheese sandwich! The garlic cheese bread! I could go on. I will be ordering from here again and telling people to check it out.

The food was amazing, and they have lots of gluten free/vegen/vegetarian options as well. The servers are great. The menu size is perfect and I highly recommend the chicken schnitzel. There wifi has no password so that's convenient too.

First time there since the change over from Devlin's. The renovations are quite nice. I only had a beer which was very reasonably priced so can't comment on the food although reservations were fully booked so I image it's good.

First time there. Wife & I dropped in for a snack. Sat on the patio and listened to their music competing with the music coming from the speakers in the square.... Cacophony at it's worse. I ordered coffee and the half plate of nachos, while my lovely lady asked for Perrier and a brownie. The place was almost empty yet it took an exceedingly long length of time to get our plates, although my coffee did show up quickly. As a long-time first responder I've had some pretty bad coffee over the years. This cup was in competition as the worse. When the nachos appeared I was struck by the dirth of cheese. Although the menu stated that it came with pico de gallo, there was little to be seen. My wife said that the brownie was acceptable but wouldn't be hurrying back for another and she noted that the ice cream that came with it had ice in it, which indicates that it's been sitting in the freezer for too long. The staff were friendly though nobody asked us how our meal was either during or after we finished eating.

I had ordered a meal from SkipTheDishes, and they had delivered to the wrong house. I called the restaurant and explained the situation to Gerald, who offered to deliver the food to my house. The food came, hot and fresh. The service alone is why I will go back here and why it is always important to support local. Thank you!

Worst food and customer service i've ever had in Brantford. Food was disgusting and the staff made us feel like we were not wanted there. Even the manager didn't seem like he wanted to do his job. We were seated once and given our food and drinks but after that nobody attended us for almost an hour and a half.

Absolutely delicious food. I would eat here daily given the option. Thoroughly enjoyed everything I ate. Server was really nice as well, very welcoming environment. The patio was perfect and it was not overly crowded, will be returning. A nice change up from the typical chains everywhere. I could not come up with a single critique, even if I tried for this one.

Nice spot for a meal. Located right at Harmony Square, you can sit on the patio and watch people in the square as you dine. Nice variety and selections on the menu, decent choice of beers. One negative is the music on the patio can be a little bit loud at times for conversations. Having to raise your voice over it or not hearing what your companion is saying to you can be a bit annoying

Was here for a ‘last lunch’ with my bf after moving him into his dorm. Had a reservation for 2:30 and came at 2 and they took us early which was nice. But we ended up waiting forever for someone to take our order, and we ended up sitting for 40 mins after we had finished for someone to come so we could get the bill and leave. They seem a little short staffed which I’m not saying is a bad thing but the restaurant was pretty dead so I’m not sure why the service was so spotty. The food was good, nothing to hype up really. There are no covid screening precautions and the male waitress always had his mask below his nose for some reason.

Enjoyed a nice lunch stop here today. As first timers we loved the environment. Nice private patio with options to overlook the Harmony Square. Servers were fantastic and just the right amount of attentiveness. Enjoyed only appetizers as there were so many options. I would strongly recommend the deep fried Gnocchi with gravy and curds. Such a great tasting twist on a poutine. We will definitely be back! Which is why we only chose 4 stars... we want to try actual meals to be able to score fairly.

I just had dinner here - meatloaf ultimate is delicious with rosemary flavours in the smashed potatoes and seasonal asparagus spears. Large portion. Option to taste a beer before a full pint is appreciative. Friendly staff and welcoming.

NEVER GO HERE. SMOKING AREA IS TERRIBLE. SMOKERS IN THE FRONT BLOW SMOKE AT MY INFANT CHILD AS I PASS AND THEN SCREAMS AT MY FIANCÉ. AT 5:39 pm today. FOOD HAS PLASTIC GLOVES IN IT. WISH I COULD CALL AND COMPLAIN BUT NO NUMBER.

Hudson's outdoor patio is open for business with solid social distancing practices and access to the washrooms with sanitizer for going in and out to access it. The general manager and wait staff are amazing, friendly. I had the Bison burger which was amazing! Here's a photo of my jubilant return to eating outside. Thanks to Hudson's management and staff for opening so quickly after Phase 2!! You were like an Oasis!

Went there twice, small and select menu. Each dish was done very well and tasted great. Atmosphere is awesome too, most places like this are dark and gloomy. Well lit and just a nice place to be in. I'd highly recommend coming here for drinks/food.

I genuinely believe this is the worst pub in town. The Food we did get tastes like its from the microwave, Food items we ordered got forgotten about, we were told "that's my bad , I forgot". Customer service is awful. If I could give 0 or even negative stars I would. Socialble is up the hill, go there.

Took an hour and a half to deliver some super gross food. My husband (who would eat anything) ordered the beef tacos..which was like taco bell grade type beef with a really weird taste. He wouldn't even finish it. My fried gnocchi was a bowl of curds and grease I couldn't eat. But the deep fried pickles were edible..... Won't be eating here again.

Worst overpriced food ever! Ordered from skip the dishes. Ordered their spinach dip, fried avocado & fish taco. Worst spinach dip, had no flavor and the naan bread & pretzel bites was bland and so greasy. The avocado was so greasy & flavorless. Taco was cold and again had no favour. Would never order from this restaurant. Waste of money!

Staff and service was great, super friendly and helpful. The food can be a hit or a miss sometimes, but overall pretty good. Deep fried dill pickles were fantastic, the spinach dip was more vinegar than spinach.

We decided to try the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and the Asiago Chicken Wrap and honestly, some of the best wraps we’ve ever had (and that’s saying a lot because I have them everywhere). Service was great as well. Definitely recommend!

Went to Hudson public for the first time tonight was very unimpressed first off the app was bland and cold I then ordered the bison burger the burger was bone dry and was advertised as being filled with a jalapeño and cream cheese blend neither of which were in the burger my friend also ordered the Erie perch plater the perch was over cooked soaked in grease and very bland and tasteless and when we brought this to the waiters attention our response was oh well thats perch for you its all like that( sub note the perch was also coated in Italian bread crumbs) the only decent portion of our visit was the cocktails as a first time experience I'm willing to give it a second go as it could just be due to poor kitchen staff however for the price I'm on the fence about it as it was almost 100$ for two people

Finally I can, once again, have lunch on a patio! It's nice to have a restaurant where everything is fresh, and made in-house. I have been to Hudson Public House twice in the last month, and both experiences were great. Both food and drink are reasonably priced, and portions are generous. Taco salad was perfect for lunch, and the grilled cheese was amazing, but a little heavy for me for lunch. But still delicious! (WW here I come! :-) ) The staff are pleasant and accommodating, without being intrusive. This has become my new favourite restaurant in Brantford! My only criticism is that the outdoor dining furniture could be updated. But that won't stop me from going back!

Very good food, reasonably priced drinks, nicely furnished. The food was slow tonight, which was a rarity and they offered to bring the food out staggered. We eagerly accepted as the wings would come first and the friend who ordered the wings was in a hurry. Unfortunately that got lost in translation and they all came at the same time 40-50 minutes after ordering. No big deal for me, just for my one friend. Also, the disabled/family bathroom didn't have a change table for my friends with a baby. I suppose there's not a lot of babies, and no idea if change tables are a common feature. But would've been appreciated. Good wings, good burgers, pretzel bites, perogies, schnitzel and mashed potatoes.

Food is good, friendly service. However, the wait times are ridiculous. Seems the cater to skip the dishes and all other take outs before they serve their in dine customers. Went 2 weeks ago and waited almost 2 hours for chicken wings and a taco salad. Dined in again a week later and waited 1-1/2 hours for 2 appetizers and they were not busy when we were there. Good food but really terrible wait times for your food to be ready and served..
