I visited on a Thursday with the family. The patio was closed, so we dined in the restaurant. The staff was very polite and made sure everyone followed proper mask and hand sanitizing rules on entry. I had tacos and my wife had a chicken sandwich. Everything came very quick and was cooked perfectly. The kids enjoyed the chicken fingers and pizza. We thought the kinder egg with the kids meal was a great idea. We will definitely be returning, even if it is just to order for take away.

Poor service. Last visit we had a female server. The salad was unavailable because if a mishap in the kitchen so we couldn't order the steak meal deal. We had steak anyway but mine was bloody eventhough I asked for well done. I could only eat the outside (roughly 1/3) The server asked if I wanted it cooked more but my appetite was ruined with the sight of blood all over my plate. She didnt offer to remove it from my bill after I showed her the issue. Nothing further was said and we left. This shpupd have bern discounted at the very least. Our regular server (a guy) is very good. Too bad because the food at this place is usually not bad at all.

Came in late on a Sunday night, a little tired, and weary of the crazy snowstorm outside. They had a late rush of hungry folk, and did a fantastic job, even while short staffed. Food was fantastic, expedient, and service was great - Kennedy was a gem...very helpful, and even helped hold the door, so I could get my mom out in her wheelchair.

As always, service was great. Every once in a long while there is a problem with the wings. We went on Tuesday and had the chicken wing special. The meat was sparse and the texture was rubbery. Most of the time this restaurant has fantastic wings. Maybe a bad chicken shipment this time? Still a great place to eat.

Don't see many Crabby Joes anymore in the Niagara Region sadly so we stopped in on the way back from a little get away. I had the steak and potato. My steak was a little burnt on the side but not much worth complaining about, the bakes potato on the other hand was the smallest potato Iv been served and which is why I'm only rating this 4/5. A bakes potato should not be such a small serving, potato's are far from expensive.

Went here for the kids eat free on Sunday. I feel this restaurant is overlooked by most but it is one of the most consistent restaurants for service and quality. Menu offers something for everyone and kids meals come with Kinder eggs which they love. Great option for your next family dinner.

My daughter and I planned to have dinner together and we decided on Crabby Joe's. This proved to be a good decision! Our server, Alex, was pleasant and helpful, and answered a couple of questions we had. My daughter's flatbread was delicious and there was enough to take home for lunch the next day. My burger was very tasty, cooked just right and presented well. Will we go back again? Absolutely!!

I used to be a regular here at the Brantford Crabby Joe's location and was in over the weekend which is understandably a busy time, but I felt the service was really lacking. Everytime we wanted service which was only twice during our stay, we had to speak up to get our waitresses attention which was met with an annoyed look, the second time I wanted another round of drinks I felt like I was interrupting our waitress chatting at the bar and ended up having a different server bring our drinks, and in the end those drinks weren't added to the bill so I corrected the mistake and still gave the waitress a $14 tip which she didn't seem thankful for or that she even wanted to be there. The food was fulfilling and just as I expected but what good is that if you're being made uncomfortable.

Ordered the strip loin steak, it arrived in 5 minutes , fries were dry and cold, the broccoli was yellow , and the steak tasted like it was microwaved , do not eat here. Worst steak dinner I've ever had. Shame on crabby Joe's in brandtford ontario.

Great place to have a bite. Lindsay was our server and she was fast and methodical. She recomend a pasta plata with shrimp and chicken and it was delicious. Lindsay as well is a very polite and she will recommend a plate that beside having good looks , great taste. I will recommend this place and ask for Lindsey and she will be happy to serve you.

Servers were a bit strange, 4 in total, so we weren't really sure who our waitress was supposed to be but the food and prices are hard to beat! Awesome food, even the broccoli was fantastic tasting, and price for 3 adults and one child was under $80.00 and two of the adults had steak. We ordered an appetizer so child's meal was free. My grandson ordered the milkshake too so I was real pleased with the total price!

????Dog Friendly Patio???? Stopped by Crabby Joe's for a late lunch followed by a couple of $5 pint specials. We ordered a flatbread, nachos, loaded fries and couple pounds of wings. Delicious lightly battered wings. We had a pregnant lady with us and host (I think his name was Luke) was very friendly and accommodating towards her. Thanks Luke. Definitely coming back again.

This was the crabby Joe location in Brantford but there are ones in Toronto as well and I can 100% say they are all very very good. The mozzarella sticks rock here and there cocktails are very good the staff is wonderful and the food is good. It's kind of like a jack Astor's or Kelsey's but still amazing.

I have never left a negative review in my life and I do realize that this is not a Michelin starred restaurant, but dear me, I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to eat. Unfortunately, the standard at this restaurant was very poor this evening. Having entered the restaurant, we had to wait for several minutes to be greeted and seated, when finally a brunette waitress said hi to us, or should i say to my husband only, in a very unproffesional flirty manner. She took us to our table, which felt like only about 20 cm away from another table, so actually we might as well join the tables together if we go next time (i don't think so !). We ordered our drinks, and soon enough the 'over enthusiastic' waitress came back to take our orders , nearly siting down on my husbands lap AND I AM NOT JOKING ! I love the appetizers but the Salad I had as my starter, was nothing more than leaf and croutons, I had to ask for more dressing to wash it down. When my husband asked for some more lemon, a surprised waitress pointed out that there already was lemon on the plate. There was no taste to it at all, and there was no salt or pepper on the table, so you had to try your hardest to attract someone's attention to get a bit of salt, which took a while. Honestly, I never complain in a restaurant, because I used to work as a waitress myself, so I know what its like sometimes, but for god's sake, if you charge people, and quite a bit of money, you must give something back. The whole thing was a bit like a fast - food dinner.

Took my family for dinner , it was a long wait, everyone's food except mine was great. I ordered a medium rare steak which I sent back twice and finally accepted a rare steak just to eat. To their credit they comped my meal but I was disappointed none the less.

After we sat down in a empty establishment the bar tender came over to ask for our drink order. Took over 10 min to come back to take food order . Appy and burgers. Which came at the exact same time. Peta was way over cooked . Dip had no flavour. Sweet potato fries were cold . The wife Asked for lettuce for her burger and it took almost 10 minutes to arrive after asking a second person for it . Just all around bad service. .

Brantford does not offer too many options in terms of bars and restaurants. This place is not a bad option for a meal or to watch a game while having beers. The barman, btw, really knows how to pour a pint of Guinnes. Menu is the same across all other CJ restaurants, that said, its okay for a franchise.

After going to a previous restaurant in Brantford and walking out because of terrible service, my mom and I went Crabby Joes. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by a great hostess we knew it would be a great visit. Our waitress went above and beyond for us and we couldnt have asked for any better service. She is definitely in the right profession. She was kind and funny and very professional and did not make us wait. Our food was exceptional. To top it off even the manager stopped by to ask how our meal was. It was over all an excellent visit to Crabby Joes and I would highly recommend it!

Absolutely awful and unimpressed. $24.99 for a little bit of broccoli and mashed potatoes and a microwaved steak that's 1 second from being fully cooked when I asked for it to be medium rare! Will not be back! Could've gone to Zanders and got a better steak plus mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes for $24.99. Disappointed to say the least.

Four of us went for dinner this evening..we were seated right away. It was wing night and the wings were great! Obviously cooked at the time ordered, not cooked in bulk and then just sauced when ordered. Our server Alex was friendly and efficient. Overall, a very good experience!

We ordered a $200 lunch using UberEats for our company employees. It was very disappointing. To start we were missing fries and a ceasar salad. The one ceasar salad that we did get was barely half full. One person got one of the variety boxes that has wings, a quesadilla and mozz sticks and there was only 5 wings and mozz sticks for $28!? The steak was good but when you’re missing half the meal it’s not very filling. For the price of what everything was there wasn’t one person satisfied with what they got

I would have given 5 stars but sometime within the last 6 week they drastically changed the foods they used to make their meals. Unfortunately this change means that my son who is allergic to nuts, egg and dairy can no longer eat there and thus neither can the rest of my family. Prior to the change there was a rice noodle and a hamburger with an egg/dairy free bun he could have. This is no longer the case as the rice noodle and the egg/dairy free bun are gone.

A fine selection of quality food at reasonable prices. I'm a big fan of their feta bruschetta. They also have half off appetizers after 9pm. A good place for family or friends. Sometimes you have to wait a bit to be seated as they don't always keep an eye on the front.

Terrible service at dinner time tonight. New waitress hasn't studied the menu and got my order wrong and proceeded to act as if it were my fault, she failed to write down everyone's complete order and forgot my son's appetizer which ended up coming after the meal. And I'm not sure what kind of dress code they have here but I dont think a place I take my family to dinner should have servers who look like they're working at Hooters or a night club, modesty please.

Before reviewing, make sure you are reviewing Crabby Joe's and not Chucks Roadhouse. The 2 most recent bad reviews are obviously for chucks as Google displays Crabby Joe's for some reason. Chucks does not come up yet on google for brantford. Therefore, my 5 stars are for Crabbys. Great food and service. I will review Chucks once it comes up on Google.

We go for wings night mainly. Always packed but servers are very nice. It gets busy when we go, so expect slower service for wings night on Tuesdays. Wings are yummy but not many flavor options. They also dunt have a rating scale for how spicy things are, sp you need to ask the servers.

Food was okay, but service was the worst. We think Julia needs to find a new career. I have seen a lot of impolite and grumpy waitresses but this was the worst experience. She served us food with a really bad and nervous attitude, When she arrived with the food she had no clue who ordered what and just handed every plate to whoever and let us figure it out. She forgot to bring the drinks and I was given the wrong kind of pasta. It was such a hassle we lost our apettite. Place is really nice but I can't believe that such a good restaurant can't employ at least normal average server. I don't think there was any way she could have been worst. Besides getting my order wrong, forgetting the drinks, and not knowing how to serve what else is there? Will think twice before returning to crabby Joe's in Brantford.

Incredibly impressed. We had a party of 5 so we had to split up because only allowed 4 per table. Two sat in a booth and 3 near by in a table. They were able to seat us close by so it wasn't to awkward to talk. Another restaurant nearby out right refused to seat us near each other as it was first come first serve. The food was great. Our server was incredible! Great experience.

Went on Saturday after a long overtime shift at work. My husband go the steak, his mash potatoes were cold as were his vegetables. Steak had good seasoning on it. My nachos hardly had any cheese on them. Hate paying this amount of money to be disappointed.

So.. I normally absolutely love chucks road house I have been to many locations which is why I was so happy to hear we have one. My daughter and I decided to go try it. I may never step foot in this location again. First off when you Google this restaurant it shows a number which I called to reserve a booth the women took my information and said that was fine. When I arrived at the restaurant it was extremely busy a two hour wait which to me is not acceptable . I guess when you Google the restaurant it is acually crabby Joe's that is coming up so I had to wait which upset me but so be it. As I waited I watched the manager Amanda yell at guests telling them to stop complaining that if they did not like it they could leave. I watched a servers mom pass by 30 people waiting and get right in. As I spoke to someone I knew she had this man come over and threaten me that he would toss me out. My daughter was terrified. I understand that this is a new restaurant and kinks always need to be worked out. But to the head management I am concerned that maybe this so called manager is not the right person for this job I have never been so modified . I worked in the customer service industry for 20 years. The rule of thumb is never escuale a situation by making it worse.

Hostess wasnt too bright. We got sat at a dirty table. Server took forever to tend to us.the spin dip bread was burnt n rock hard .couldnt ask for new bread because server never came around to check on us.we asked for no onion and both meals had onion on it.our drinks were empty for a long time before offering new ones. And not free refills proper alcoholic drinks. Then rushed to pay and made uncomfortable. Also theyre now charging to add lettuce n tomato to the buffalo sandwich which is obsurd.

After going to a previous restaurant in Brantford and walking out because of terrible service, my mom and I went Crabby Joes. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by a great hostess we knew it would be a great visit. Our waitress went above and beyond for us and we couldnt have asked for any better service. She is definitely in the right profession. She was kind and funny and very professional and did not make us wait. Our food was exceptional. To top it off even the manager stopped by to ask how our meal was. It was over all an excellent visit to Crabby Joes and I would highly recommend it!

Truly disappointed in them, as this used to be our favourite place to eat in Brantford, I honestly hope karma puts them out of business as this is fundamentally wrong on every level.

They have great specials every night , we had the half priced apps after nine pm great wings!! Lots of TV’s with all the ball games we were able to catch a Red Sox game while in Canada. This pub was next door to the hotel we were staying in so it was very convenient and reasonably priced with very attentive wait staff.

I came into the Brantford establishment for drinks, the waitress was not checking in often so when she did come around, her name was Julia- I asked for a drink while I had about two inches left in my current drink, she said I couldn’t order another drink until my cup was empty. Most of what was left was melted ice, I only wanted to save us both some time.

Wen't here a few weeks ago with my family (kids are 3 and 6). We had such a great time. The service was wonderful, they made sure the kids were fed ASAP and had enough crayons to get along and keep busy. The food was fresh and amazing, as always. Went on wing night (Tuesdays) the wings themselves were great. I ordered 20 wings and ate 15. Upon asking for a container to bring home the extra 5 I was notified that you can’t take wings home on Tuesdays. I even offered to pay extra. So in the end the extra 5 wings that I PAID FOR were thrown in the trash. I guess crabby joes would rather see food in the trash then in the hands of their customers. Or at least notify customers of this rule before ordering I understand to have the rule in general so people don’t abuse it but there has to be exceptions

Worst experience for dinner in a decade. The chicken parm was so over cooked I needed a knife , the spaghetti was crusty ( under heat lights ) for probably 30 minutes because even though her only table it took 45 minutes to be served. The kids chicken fingers were so over cooked they were crunchy. Was it the cooks first day.? Truly awful. I didn’t leave a tip, and I always leave a tip.

We were a large group that came in on Saturday night at 8pm. At the door we were told that they were short staffed and that it might take a little longer. After 45 mins without even a drink, I asked to speak to the manager. He was very defensive right away and told me that we were told it was going to be slow and that they're doing their best. Very unapologetic and basically made me feel that it was our fault for coming in. No offer and declined to discount anything on our bills for the terrible experience. Unacceptable for a Saturday night of a weekend where every hotel is booked - I would expect the owner/manager to be a little more prepared. We will it be going back and wouldn't recommend mainly because of how they made us feel that it was our fault.

Fully vaxed and can’t believe the hassle I got trying to eat. Ended up leaving without being seated. My medical status is private, this is against my rights. Held up for 5 minutes during the interrogation at the front during which we were trying to comply with our children. It may be a mandate, but this is completely unconstitutional and business owners need to stand up for our rights. This is unacceptable.

Waited 15 minutes in a less than half full restaurant, while waitresses kept walking by our table without stopping to even take our drink order .... a group arrived and before they were seated a waitress was hovering over them waiting to take their drink order ..... my wife and I left since we were being ignored , went to Swiss Chalet and were served quickly, like all the other paying customers. Not the first bad service (more than a handful actually) .... have been a regular customer there for years .... will no longer be giving my money away for subpar service.

Went for lunch at the Brantford location yesterday and had an awful experience. Was seated at 1:20pm and the restaurant wasn’t packed but steady. We did not receive our food until 2:45pm and my fiancé didn’t get his soup starter until the rest of meal came out. I had a Cesar salad to start and when the waitress finally cleared my bowl I asked about his starter and she said “it comes out when it comes out”. Nothing about checking in with the kitchen staff. I got the smoked Montreal sandwich which I had 2 bites of because it was covered in grease and very soggy. My fiancé had the steak and lobster tale and he also had a couple bites giving the benefit of the doubt but was unable to eat his meal. I asked the waitress when she brought out the meals if she could bring the bills right away so we could leave as soon as we were done. We then had to wait another 25 minutes because she was going back and forth with another customer that was not happy with the service or meal. We asked to speak to the manager because we have already spent 2.5hrs waiting for our food and bills and they were able to comp one meal but my bill was still outrageous for the poor service and quality we received. The manager told us it’s been like this since it opened a week ago and “is going downhill”. I said I would pay for this bill but we would not be returning. I was a server and understand how overwhelming it can be but my main priority was to give the best customer service to anyone walking into the establishment which we did not receive. Multiple people left and were very frustrated with the service from this waitress and many unhappy with the quality from the kitchen staff. Wasn’t happy at all, wasted my money on over a 3hr luncheon! Never returning to the Brantford location again!

Best place in Brantford, period! Great service from both Dorothy and Kelly. Even though we had a booth in the bar area, the dining room staff came to check on us, namely Kelly. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was awesome. Super clean and so glad to see that they have abandoned the old Crabby Joe's atmosphere. Great for families or some drinks at the bar. We'll be back for sure, 100%!

Best wings around by far, come very fresh & piping hot. Especially love the Parmesan pepper! Used to go the the Cambridge CJ's on wing night but got disappointed with their wings too many times. Happened to be in Brantford on a Tuesday and tried there CJ's. Amazing..thought maybe it was fluke but we have been back four times since then and consistently great food and friendly service!

Tonight my family and I went to Crabby Joe’s for our Mother’s birthday. We usually LOVE going here and go there quite often. The food is always great, the staff are always kind, and the prices aren’t outrageous. Tonight when we were there we had an absolutely terrible experience.. other than the waitress everything was terrible. My boyfriend and I ordered the beer battered fish and chips with fries. The fish was good, but the fries were absolutely atrocious! They were laced with grease, black and dark brown, and literally inedible. Another one of us got the chicken parm and it was so salty that they couldn’t eat it either. We brought our concerns to the attention of our waitress, who apologized up and down for our poor experience. After we were informed that she would let her manager know we sat at the table for over 20 minutes waiting for the manager and our bill. Finally when the bill arrived we noticed that they took off about $8 from our bill.. our bill was about $170 to begin with. We were again not impressed. We asked a second time to speak to the manager.. when the manager showed up at our table we could tell right away she did not care about what we had to say. Not once did she apologize, and she ARGUED with us over the quality of our food! I had the fries on a seperate plate just to show her how black and drenched with grease they were and all she had to say was “Oh, I didn’t see those.” To top all of it off my Mother didn’t even get a desert for her birthday. When we brought that up she asked if we told the waitress it was her birthday and we said yes. She then told us we that they don’t give out birthday desserts (which is not true because we were there in Sept. and got one then). She discounted our bill further by taking off an appetizer but at that point it didn’t matter to us anymore. We ended up just paying the bill and leaving. Let’s just say we will NEVER step foot back in that restaurant again. That is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life!
