I went with my wife and we were dissapointed, the pasta was like canned pasta, limp and lifeless, it was a better sauce than Chef Boyardee but very dissapointing. It's new management and they must think people who can afford to spend $150 fro dinner are stupid. They got my money once....shame on them, they will never reach into my pocket again.

Awesome heated outdoor winter wonderland patio that is vented very well. Our family went for a skate at Gage Park last night then we had an awesome meal on the Vesuvio's patio. I called in advance and asked if the pastas I was planning to order were made in house. The person on the phone said yes - everything is made in house. The rigatoni and the spaghetti is clearly not made in house, and was dry and lacked flavour. The rigatoni was said to be in a cream sauce but nothing creamy about it. I asked for no mushrooms or green peppers (due to food sensitivities) in the spaghetti but they were still included. I also asked for parmigiano reggiano (Parmesan) on the side, but it was not provided. The gnocchi was good, but everything else took away from our overall experience. My family and I are super disappointed and won’t be ordering from here again.

Was there for lunch on Friday December 7th, 2018., unfortunately service was slow due to a party also there. Had to ask for salt twice, and eventually got up and got it myself. My salmon was way overdone and dry, but could not get a waiters attention, so I just ate it. Watched as the cook behind the pizza stand opened up a big bag of salad greens. THIS IS SOMETHING A CUSTOMER DOES NOT NEED TO SEE. Not once after that did anyone ask us if we were happy with our meals, or would like desert. I asked for the bill and we left. This is the second time that I have been to Vesuvio Restaurant in Brampton and the service was inadequate. You have a good product at Vesuvio, need to have your staff be more aware of their customers.

I have been here twice. They have the best Tiramisu in town no doubt. The best and for that I can come anytime but their pizza was okaish and not that great. It was fresh no doubt but not as amazing as expected. Their white sauce pasta was again on okay side although the spinach filled pasta crepes in red sauce was good. It was hit on some items and miss on few. They have lot of sea food options so people who like that would like the place. Ambience is good and service is nice. But once again they have the best Tiramisu.

Wish I could give 3.5, It's not worth a 4 though. The food is good enough but noticeably pre-cooked. Our chicken dish came out in 5 minutes. That tells me its either pre-cooked or someone returned a dish and I got it. Not appetizing either way. The service is good, the owner is great - this guy is a true restaurateur. Knows how to treat his guests. Nice atmosphere, cozy decor but the lounge singer feels like I'm on a cruise ship. very kitschy. One other negative mark are the prices. A little high for what in the end tastes like chain restaurant food. Good enough but nothing exciting.

We had my parents 50th anniversary there with 31people. Everyone said the food was fantastic. The Cesar salad was top notch. Salmon with goat cheese..wow. Can't say enough. Thank you Mauricio. Great time

We wandered into Vesuvio's on a frigid cold night in early December knowing that Christmas parties were in full force. Since we didn't have a reservation, we weren't able to get a table. But the owner, Mauricio felt so bad for turning us down that he offered us a glass of champagne at the bar. He also added some olives and hot crusty bread. Next thing we knew, we asked if we could have dinner at the bar! So worth the experience. The food was fabulous, the wine was to our taste and the generosity of Mauricio and his great staff will keep us coming back!

I have been frequenting Vesuvio restaurant area for many years. I can’t believe I’ve never actually written a review on them. Their food is authentically a Tyanne and always fresh. The staff is always welcoming and friendly and the newly renovated restaurant looks better than ever. I even posted my mother’s 65th birthday there a few years ago. I absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice night out or even for a Family occasion.

My wife and I went in for or anniversary dinner on Tuesday night. The restaurant was busy with large tables in the main dining room and a big group in the side section. Staff was understandably busy however they found lots of time to make sure everything was to our liking, regardless of whether or not they were our server. They really do care, including (who i believe to be) the owner asking if we were ok with or table being near some loud children, and the most outstanding thing was our server chasing us down 10-15 minutes later in Gage Park when she found my wife's purse mistakenly left behind in the restaurant. I didn't even touch on the food which was outstanding. Portions were filling, taste was outstanding, but I can't stress enough how much these people care about their guests. Thank you Vesuvios!

I have yet to visit the restaurant- my review is a little different- but true to my words- I most certainly will dine in Vesuvio's very soon. After meeting the owner in our joint efforts to help a wounded raccoon- I could not possibly have been met with more kindness and heart with doing as I was- trying to help the little guy stay safe while waiting for someone to come get him or she. (We didn't verify animal gender lol) The owner has a heart like I haven't seen in a long time. He brought the young raccoon some bread and meat- here is the funny part- I had no idea he was the owner (only after a bit of conversation I did learn he was the owner) I looked back at the restaurant a few times thinking wow, how kind are they!!!! And also- how kind is this man for going to ask the establishment for food ???? also then brought a delicious hot coffee for me ???? I truly with high regard recommend visiting this location because when you enter a restaurant and know for sure that the business is run with heart and a beautiful heritage - you will never be disappointed.

The restaurant was very nice visually. The service wasn't the greatest. I had a calamari appetizer which was fantastic but for me the actual food im sorry to say was really bad. I had spaghetti and it was just bad. Tasted really bland and soggy. Tbh it tasted like they didn't even use salt. I was extremely disappointed.

Service was really amazing from waitress, manager and chef. And the food was amazing 10/10. Really appreciate everything done by the restaurant. My husband and I moved to Brampton about 2 years ago from Toronto and one of the things we were worried about was finding restaurants with good food and ambiance as we would find down town. We have tried 6 to 8 different restaurants over the pass few years and decided we are better off going back down town as we were always met with disappointment until yesterday. We were at home doing nothing and thought lets go down town for dinner by the time we got ready it was about 8pm (a little late right) I said to my husband I wish we didnt have to drive all that way to eat and he felt the same. I Googled restaurants in down town Brampton and 10 restaurants popped up, we choose one and we were on your way, got to the restaurant and it was closed, I guess they were close over the long weekend but my husband said he saw another restaurant on George St while walking one day and it looked very modern from outside and he was thinking of trying it one day. we got to the restaurant and we were met by friendly staff and everything exceeded our expectations from there on. They have a great selection of wines and other alcohol and non alcoholic beverages, we had a bottle of their red wine call Pan, for appetizers we had my favorite Caprese Salad which they use Buffalo Mozzarella and not (Bocconcini which 90% of restaurants use its a cheaper not so tasty Mozzarella) and Frittura Di Pesce Misto which is a Platter of Fried Seafood, Squid, Calamari, Shrimp, amazing. Main courses pizza top with Smoked Salmon, Arugula, Capers, Red Onions and Fettuccine Alfredo with With Portobello Mushrooms, Broccoli and Chicken in a Cream Sauce. Dessert we had Homemade Tiramisú, cherry cheese cake and Lattes absolutely Deeeelish!!! we were very impress with all our meals everything was cooked to perfection we can honestly say we have found our restaurant in Brampton and cant wait to share it with our Toronto friends.

Went for Valentine's Day, so there was a fixed menu but everything was amazing! The starter was a antipasto plate with a lot of variety and really quite delicious. After eating it, we joked we would be happy with just eating more of those. For the main, I got gnocchi with osso bucco. Definitely the highlight of the meal. Meat was nice and tender and the gnocchi tasted just like how my Nonna makes it. I was later told they make it all in house and you can definitely tell. Even the tiramisu was good, and that's coming from someone who doesn't like tiramisu.

An underwhelming experience. Food is overpriced and unimpressive. The service is great and so is the decor and presentation, and the live entertainment. Which is frustrating - they have a good base and yet don't quite deliver. For example, the pizza dough and sauce are very good. Tasty. But the toppings are cheapy. I've never seen a margheritta pizza with shredded cheese when the menu says Mozarella diBuffala. They really do have their heart in the right place - I know they can deliver. And I look forward to it.

Atmosphere and service was nice and the food was good but not exceptional. The complimentary bread, antipasto starter, and fried seafood were excellent. For mains we had one of the veal dishes which good and the seafood platter which was unfortunately mediocre and bland. Also, we ordered the platter for one but it seems like the server misheard us and gave the platter for two. When we mentioned it, the owner (I believe) came by the table promptly and was friendly and professional in resolving the situation so we were happy. I would definitely eat here again.

I have heard a lot about this place from colleagues, friends & Family, and yes this place is a hidden gem. i went there today for the first time and their food is delicious and service is AAA. Maurizio you are absolutely fantastic man. hats off to this guy i asked for an opinion between two different main courses and he made my dinner a combination of both. Came to Vesuvio for a family function. They started with delicious cheese pizza, then an appetizer of veggies and cold cuts, followed by pasta and finally the main with veal, chicken and veggies. Everything was good, but my favourite was the pizza. Restaurant is newly renovated and looks very nice. Service was excellent. I would definitely come back to try their regular menu.

This restaurant is in a great location next to Gage Park. The decor is very pretty and modern. We didn't have a reservation and it seems like that would be a good idea (at least at 7pm on Friday night). However, the staff was accommodating. My husband and I ordered 2 chicken parmesan dinners with pasta and tomato sauce, 2 glasses of house wine and a chocolate molten cake with vanilla ice cream to share. The total with tax but before tip was $79. We were served bread with a small container of a spicy sauce. I thought it was ok but my husband liked it a lot. Neither of us were impressed by the main dish. The wines were both pretty good. Again, we were split on the chocolate cake. I didn't like it very much but my husband loved it. However, he is a chocoholic so take that for what you will. The big test is always: would you return? No.

I was at Vesuvio restaurant Tuesday night at 5:30. I ordered linguine with mixed seafood. When the plate was served, my first thoughts were "it's too much and I am going to take some home". Well, I didn't take any home????. From the first bite to the last ,I couldn't control the exhilarating and exotic taste my taste buds were going through. During the meal I noticed groups with reservations coming in. I asked the manager , "this is a Tuesday night and the restaurant is almost full !!!" He said, "the people love the newly renovated look and the quality of food in our menu and lets not forget the excellent service"????. I just want say to all the staff I had a great time and I felt at home. ???????????? To the staff, Thanks for a wonderful time. Vito Petrozza.

Been at this venue in the past and had a good experience, however this time not too good Met up with some friends at this venue last night, asked what the specials of the day were, he mentioned Several items one of which was salmon, so my husband ordered it. Was disappointed when he was given his dinner, it was the tail end of the salmon, did not look very appetizing, entree stated it came with veggies and potatoes, no potatoes on his plate. The best part was when we received the bill, his entree was $33.00 no price on the menu, only refers to fish of the day. We were quite surprised. I ordered the chicken piccata with veggies and potatoes. The chicken was paper thin and 2 small pieces and the potatoes consisted of one round coin of potatoe. Just a word of advice check out the menu prices before ordering so you won't be surprised when you get the bill Maybe they should add a special menu of the day with prices, only a suggestion

We have tried lots of great Italian cooking around GTA and after hearing rave reviews about Vesuvio we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is located on a very nice street and has a very nice vibe to it. The servers were very attentive and polite. However, the food was very underwhelming. We ordered lamb (special of the day) and it had no flavor. We ordered a pizza as well. It had an ok flavor however the dough was not properly cooked. The food left us very disappointed. We will give it one more try since we want to support local business.

We ordered for delivery and one of our items was missing. The restaurant immediately called us back and personally sent an uber our way to deliver the missing item to our house. Food quality was very underwhelming; pasta overcooked, tomato sauce bland and watery, "Alfredo" was flavorless and runny, chicken was boiled when stated pan-seared... As well as extremely overcooked and unappetizing. Server made us feel like an annoyance for requesting an item be replaced when we were unable to eat it due to lack of flavor and dryness. Service was mediocre as well as borderline lacking. Would not recommend this place. First visit and will definitely be the last.

Went to Vesuvio’s this past weekend. Made reservations because we were told they are a very busy place. From the moment we arrived we knew we made the right choice. The hostess greeted and seated us immediately, the waitresses with a smile were at our table within seconds explaining the menu. The overall service was terrific . We were also very pleased that the owner made the rounds to each table to make sure we were happy with the service, and food. The quality and quantity of food is top notch. Lastly, they had live music throughout the evening. Giving 5 stars because that’s the most Google will allow. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will most definitely return! THANK YOU FOR SUCH A PLEASANT EVENING!

First time back since renovations done. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good and amount was good, except dessert. I was happy till I got home and saw the receipt. The menu stated that the entrees included vegetables or pasta of the day. I specially asked what the pasta of the day was. The server listed several pastas and sauces. There was no mention that these items came with an additional fee. When I got home and saw the receipt it had a $2.00 charge for each of our pastas and each sauce. An $8.00 + tax increase to the bill. If I had not specifically asked what the pasta of the day was I could say that it was my issue. The server should have told us what the pasta of the was and that for a charge we could have something else. The other issue was the dessert. $8.95 for a tiny piece of cake that was about 5 mouthfuls. We originally thought we may go back, but after the extra charges for sauce and pasta we will not be returning.

Overall experience was ok. Service was very slow but it was busy. Shrimp and penne Alfredo was WAY OVERPRICED at $34, and it just ok. Bread was very good, but offer oil and balsamic vinegar. Chef's oil paste was overwhelmingly hot.

Went in for lunch today with my husband and 2 kids. The service was wonderful, they totally take pride in their job and the owners in their restaurant. Beautiful to see. The food was outstanding. I had the antipasta bar, lots of options and foods to enjoy for a great price. My husband had a pizza and loved it. We have been looking for a great wood burning pizza, my older son had the lasagna and he said it was the best he has ever eaten. We will definitely be back for a date night. My experience at this restaurant was amazing. The food was great, I had gnocchi with rosé sauce which was a really good option, I had pizza with sun dried tomatoes, olives, and very creamy goat cheese which made the overall pizza amazing. The best part about my visit was the service, we were here for a friend's surprise birthday party and our host was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to ensure that he had the best surprise.

Having dinner on a patio in -3° weather because of covid was definitely an experience but Vesuvio staff made it amazing! I liked the seating arrangements it was close but not cramped. Started with the pizza as a starter , it was very good. I dont think it would matter which pizza you chose. My experiance has been if you get a good homemade pizza, the quality maintains through the choice spectrum. The veal scampi was excellent and the sauce was well matched .Tried the wife's chicken entre also nicely done. Finished off with cheese cake with chocolate drizzle. The unique thing was it wasnt overly sweet and had a lighter taste, didnt leave feeling over filled . A very good experiance overall

Great service, the server was very accommodating for my vegan friend and she was super nice too! Honestly, if it weren't for her, I'd give this place two stars. The food left much to be desired. I got the spaghetti, which I was sure that they couldn't get wrong. Pasta was overcooked, so I didn't like that. But it was super bland too. Imagine kinda mushy pasta with no taste... definitely not worth the money I spent on it. :(

My beautiful wife and I had the pleasure of dining in for Valentine’s Day. As I made a reservation through Maurizio. It was our best Valentine’s experience in our 12 years together. The restaurant was phenomenal as the service, the food and entertainment was priceless. We had a fixed menu with a few options to choose from. We’re happy with our selection as the food was cooked to perfection and left your mouth watering. Would highly recommend this restaurant for a dining experience second to none. Me and my boyfriend ate here on New Year's Eve 2013 and the food was very lovely and the service was extraordinary, but the environment was not. We got seated next to one of the staff's children, who did nothing but make irritating noises all night and very much so ruined the atmosphere for us. For a 4.5 Star restaurant, I'd hoped they would have been smarter to let them sit in the dining room and goof off all night. I asked for the bill before the dinner service was even over. Not sure if I want to go back...

We had 2 business Christmas parties and my Mom-in-Laws birthday celebration at Vesuvio Ristorante previously as well as social dinners with family and friends. The food offering and friendliness of staff is paramount! I haven’t written a review about them but felt I should after celebrating New Years eve there a few days ago with my wife and another couple. The prix fixe menu started off with an amazing array of colourful and tasty goods for an Antipasto. A selection of 5 “hard to choose from” Mains followed that were all inviting. Although we chose our main entrees individually, we added and ordered/shared the Seafood Risotto after - only because it sounded delicious on the menu (..and it was!). Only regret was we waived the tiramisu dessert because we were all full! Open Bar-Beverages were included in the amazing price of $120/person for New Years Eve. Thank God for Uber! Live entertainment and dancing followed. We can not wait for our next visit, celebration or no celebration. Thanks to Maurizio and his team for always providing great hospitality and for the gastronomic delight.

We were at this restaurant my friend had tried this place out and had liked the food So here we were as it was full however no wait We got a patio table as we had requested for it The service was not too good The server didn’t bring in nor offer us the breads We ordered a bruschetta and a capresse salad with some wine and Corona beer Bruschetta was disappointing with just 2 pieces of the bruschetta and rest all grilled veggies The caprese salad was excellent After the appetizers we requested for the bread which came without the dip Since my friend knew about the hot spicy dipping sauce she asked for it Really you have to ask for everything nothing comes as a part of the service For mains we ordered Fusilli with pesto and Gnocchi in creamy sauce The fusilli and gnocchi were fine not very good Would like to go there again to try some more stuff from their interesting menu

I had not been here since it was reopened after renovation. It is still one of the best restaurants in Brampton. The new decor is very nicely done but not to my taste. At first when I first walked in it had a nice ambiance with a huge wine rack in the front and a warm handshake from the host whom I’m assuming is the owner when we were waiting. He said we would have to wait a few mins while they fixed up a table for us, even tho we made a reservation. But it was fine since it was only a few mins. We were seated but we felt like we were on display since we had a table right by where there was most foot traffic, even though my husband made a reservation TWO weeks prior for Valentine’s Day. Then the live music they had was SUPER LOUD AND SUPER CHEESY. I could barely hear my husband talk and he was sitting right beside me! This put a damper on the whole night. I thought maybe the musician would take a break but it went on and on and on.. I honestly couldn’t wait to leave by the time we were seated. Then they had a young girl sing with the live musician- omg was it awful. She was belting her screeching voice at the top of her lungs. Sure, her voice was good but Jesus- it was something for Canadian idol not a nice intimate dinner for couples. Absolutely awful. Plus we weren’t given the option of the regular menu- it was automatically the valentines menu. I wish we could’ve seen more options of what to eat as the valentines menu was limited. They didn’t tell us that there was a regular menu when we were seated. We will not be coming back. Thanks but no thanks.

If you are looking for a nice Italian restaurant with great pizza, this is the place. I took my family here and we each got a pizza, each large enough to cover your place. The pizza ingredients are wonderful and the crust is thin. There is a nice wine selection as well.

My husband and I dined here with our two young children. The food was amazing .... fresh ... tasty, just spot on. The service was just brilliant. There was another guest there who was cold and Mauricio got a heater from the back for her to make her comfortable. My food was spicy, too spicy and he noticed this. Immediately packed the food I was eating and had another made for me that was not spicy and didn’t charge me for the reorder. He was very concerned about the food being perfect for everyone. My son had the seafood plate and again he made sure that the clam shells were not broken as he was fearful that this would be a choking hazard. He paid attention to every detail. Honestly best experience ever. At the end of the meal the staff brought out a cheesecake slice for my husbands birthday complimentary. Def recommend this restaurant. An improptu lunch ended up at Plan C, Vesuvio Restaurant, when both Plan A and Plan B were closed (one permanently). So glad we chose Vesuvio as the fall back to the fall back. Servers Angela and Martha immediately made us at home. They could not have been more attentive or helpful. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and oh, so tasty. So was the bottle of Grillo Siciliana white wine which neither my wife nor I had tasted before. The cost was a little pricey for lunch, but it was a semi-special occasion, falling between two birthdays (any excuse for lunch out) and worth it. Thanks, Angela and Martha. We will be back for sure.

I came here just last night and got blown away! I didn’t know such a place existed in Brampton. Definitely is now one of my top favourites! Maurizio was an amazing host, taking care of whatever we needed and brought more light into the atmosphere. The service and staff were just as great. The food is out of this world and definitely has a lot of Italian authenticity! I tried the “Number 8” pizza made out of their historic wood oven to start and then ordered a main which was the Seafood Pasta which had mussels, shrimp and scallop on white wine sauce...the flavours were just unreal! Not to mention their homemade pepper sauce (which I had to buy a jar off to take home haha)...I’m so happy places like this still exist even throughout the turmoil we’re all in, God bless you. This place speaks for itself, it’s clean, comforting, nicely renovated, tables were sanitized before we got seated and we got temperature checked before entering the building (which most restaurants don’t even bother doing)...they built a nice outside patio which was sealed off well enough to make it warm and toasty to eat outside rain or shine, night or day. Just an overall amazing place. Thank you for the good time and good food, will see you again!

It was really shocking but I did not want to make it a big deal in front of the table as we were there for a birthday dinner. I went inside to tell the staff and asked for another dish. I was recommended the gnocchi as a replacement meal. When I tried it, It was overcooked so I packed up the rest. At the end of our meals, I was shocked to see that I was charged for my meal plus the extra charge for the rose sauce. For a customer to find a piece of plastic baked into the pasta, I thought they would try to make it right but I was quite disappointed.

Beautiful view of the park, and an elegant and contemporary re-design inside! Definitely a place you'd want to go for a special occasion. Most importantly, the food was incredibly delicious. We all ordered something different, and we couldn't get enough of each other's plates. The food was so satisfying and filling but we had to try the tiramisu, and it was *insert gif of chef kissing finger tips.* The wait staff are so lovely, generous, and professional. Especially Maive! (sp?) I brought my mom here for her birthday, and she absolutely loved it, We will definitely be back. :D Thank you!

Asked for my steak rare, the owner asked me was I sure, I replied, if you're confident in your blue, I'll try it. Result, best steak I've had in over a year! This place deserves a visit. Very high quality and great service! I dont like to give 5* just because I had a good experience, there has to be something that goes beyond the extra mile, this place delivered. Looking forward to my next visit.

Just an unbelievable restaurant. I've never seen restauranteurs who care about their customers like these ones do!! Food was exquisitely made as though you were a guest in their home. They accommodate to all dietary needs and you can order to your specifications off the menu. Decor is a little dated, but when you taste their food, none of that matters! This is truly a one-of-a-kind restaurant.

Wow! Really surprised that there could be negative reviews for this place! The food, service and atmosphere is fantastic. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Vesuvios to anyone. I eat there often and have never left un-satisfied. Great place... try it out and you won't be disappointed!

Came for a quick lunch and wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy a glass of time and tiramisu. Caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had and the lasagna was delicious. If I find myself n the area again it will be my top choice.

I went here a couple months ago before Covid 19 and sat to eat and have food with my wife. A man who seemed to be the manager or owner was yelling at the employees, which made me uncomfortable. My server was excellent though, had no complaints there. I ordered the veal and it was gross, tasted old and dry. I wouldn't recommend going here if you want to enjoy your food

I can’t rave enough about this restaurant. The BEST in Brampton hands down. The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are very generous. This is our go to restaurant not only for the incredible meals but also for the service. Maurizio and staff are so hospitable and accommodating. If you haven’t had the chance to eat here you most definitely should.

Their pesto pasta is SO GOOD. My boyfriend and I always come here whenever we're craving some good pasta. Get the pesto one! Prices are decent and portions are good as well. Very cute restaurant and servers are attentive and quick. Overall very good experience.

I set up an annual company luncheon at Vesuvio this year. The employees loved it! The food was very good, the service was great and the staff were so accommodating, polite and attentive...I felt guilty (lol). I decided to organize another group lunch here a few weeks later and they loved the area, the restaurant, the food and the service. Very much enjoyed the experience and look forward to my next visit to Vesuvio.

WOW! The place is super busy. Packed from the minute we arrived to the moment we left. My husband passes by every day on his way home from work and he said it's always busy and parking lot is always full. We received a gift card and decided to use it for our anniversary. Very good food, large portions. Staff is incredibly nice, warm and friendly. Both my husband and I got 2 of the dinner specials along with an appetizer to share that were being served that evening. Appetizer - Garlic Parm Wings. Wings were done to the point of falling off the bone and the garlic parm sauce was not overpowering at all. For entrees I had the Stuffed Pumpkin Gnocchi in a light cream sauce with portobello mushrooms and arugula. Gnocchi's melted in your mouth! My husband had Pork Ragu served over fresh pasta. Both entrees were very good. Disappointed since we didn't save room for dessert but we will be back! Definitely recommend making reservations.
