I just posted my first review of abysmal service elsewhere and felt like I should tell people where to go. GO HERE! I recently started going here after a customer of mine's recommendation. Well I couldn't be happier. Great positive attitudes and top notch service. Food is great and wait times are great as well. Can't say I've ever been here later but the lunch and breakfast are a must do. Thanks to all the great servers and cooks for busting their ass. Its recognized, especially when other places can't even get one area right.

I came in and had the gyro and fries with a beer that was on tap, the Stella, was good food the gyro was very tasty, the fries were also very good. The service was top notch too, very friendly. Pretty big place too has a sit down restaurant and then a bar section.

i work down the street i find i eat here a few times a month. the food and value is awesome. everything is fresh like at home cooking so easy to enjoy and the best french onion soup ever. the prices are fair and you feel like you are getting a deal when the bill comes around. they have nice daily specials as well. wonderful service staff

I’ve been doing a tiktok trend of trying different restaurants to support through SkipTheDishes (@LucianShawtty on tiktok) this morning I decided to try out Aj’s and I absolutely love it! I was so in shock when my food arrived and the bag itself was hot like it just came off the stove! The steak I would recommend to come with some sort of sauce, and the coleslaw was a bit bitter, other than that everything was amazing! The portion size was great and the ability to follow the order instructions were amazing! Not to mention my favourite of all was that apple pie????????????

I really don't understand how this place gets all the high ratings it does. Maybe people accept basic run of mill food and mediocre service as 4 or 5 star. I've had better meals at a hospital cafeteria and I've been treated faster and kinder at service ontario renewing my car sticker. Anyway I wasn't impressed at all.

It was fantastic experience. I am a pure vegetarian and I was looking for more menu options. One of the chef's understood my plea and without hesitation, he came out with out-of-the-box option. He made a new spicy sandwich with fresh veggies and yummy cheese. It was very good in taste, very affordable, and above all it was hot and fresh!! I would recommend for anyone who is looking for a change!

I actually really liked this place. It's located in more of a commercial style plaza near the car dealerships, sort of an unconventional location. The wings were really good, crispy, saucy, big. The beer was cold. It's a typical pub style place, service was good, food came out quickly (we were there for lunch), I'll go back to try some other things.

Highly discriminating place especially if you belong to non white community and you make a mistake to pay a visit, made a visit recently and the attitude and body language while taking order anybody can clearly notice and one lady with specs was highly highly mean,rude and impatient in customer service and was making fun of me right in front . I was really thinking in my mind why don’t they put on a display “whites only” hahahahaha...(i really had a good laugh while writing this review)if they don’t like or feel like serving and giving at least little respect to other communities.God bless them all. The 5 month old review of harman nijjar below was actually based on this what I see and experienced myself. The other thing is once the place starts running good and makes a brand name value and goodwill I think most of the restaurants stop looking at how to give good customer service.

By far the best place for a classic breakfast in Brampton. Priced accordingly. Regular breakfast will run you under 10$. Well kept facility and clean washrooms. Friendly staff and it's the perfect spot to kill time while waiting for your car at the dealership.

We have been going to AJ for more than 10 years now. They must have recently changed owners because the dark haired Elvira looking person that calls herself the manager is a real tool. we got there and was place in a booth beside a customer that must not have taken a shower in a week. My kids and I couldn't breathe it was so disgusting. We politely ask Elvira if we could move to another table and she said yes but they had to clean it up. 30 mins later they still hadn't. When I enquired again she said they were too busy, I needed to stay where I was. When I explained why we wanted to move, she was extremely rude and and said we could leave if we wanted to. I have never had such bad customer service. I work in the service industry and I can tell you AJ has the WORST servers.

I work across the street and eat here all the time for breakfast and lunch and always enjoy it. Never had a problem with them being slow or anything, good prices with good portions. Servers are always friendly with me and know my voice over the phone now. I prefer the Mom and Pop vs the Chains and this Mom and Pop shop has a nice homey feel. Great price and portion on the breakfast meal which I always recommend and is bigger, better and cheaper than Sunrise (in my opinion) Lunch specials are well priced with nice verity and portion size. All in all two thumbs up from me.

This restaurant has a variety of choices on their menu. Great service and pricing. We have been for breakfasts, lunches and dinners over time. I enjoyed the omlette in the morning and one night for dinner we had Greek soulvaki and salad which was very good. My husband enjoyed the fish and chips.

Ordered a turkey benny. Presentation is good. But was a little unsatified with the turkey part of the meal as it was literally Turkey cooked and added in and was quite dry. I thought it be the turkey version of a slice of ham. Meal was alright. Will try dining in next time before I make a final judgment. Good portions.

So I worked here for a very short time. The food is delicious but the new owners are very questionable. I was given the smaller shifts compared to everyone else and it was getting worse by the week. When I decided to leave because I found a more suitable place to work, they shorted me on my paycheck on purpose. Some of my shifts that I worked were whited out on the schedule and when I asked why that happened I was told I was making accusations. I was also told I would have to wait for the manager to find out who made that mistake before I could receive what was owed to me. It's sad to see people try to take advantage of good workers and cheat them out of money they worked for. It's a nice place but they need to be careful with how they treat people. I'm glad I stood my ground and made sure I recieved what was rightfully mines even after they kept giving me the run around. Wish them all the best. Please dont make it seem like I was an irresponsible employee. I didnt give notice one day due to being in the ER and left my phone at home. Only to come back and see rude messages from my manager. I left this review to give a reminder to you, to not play with people's money when they give you their time. The "mistake" made was very unprofessional and was in fact on purpose. Let's hope you treat the next one better.

We've been passing by this place for years but never stopped. We decided to stop today and we're glad that we did. Breakfast was delicious and the servings were big. Cheryl was fantastic in helping us with our orders. I had the eggs bene with pea meal bacon and my wife had eggs bene Florentine. Place looks really nice and the Covid safety precautions were excellent. I highly recommend for people to try this quaint place.

So tried ordering lunch today. Called multiple times. Phone was busy. Resulted to their website to see online order option, but it says everything is unavailanle? Got the fish and chips with a milkshake. The milkshake was for my fries, because I'm one of those foodies that like to dip their fries into milkshakes (plus not a fan of ketchup alone on fries). The milkshake was not good at all. Couldnt finish it and tasted like cardboard. When I expressed to the waitress that I didnt like it and I would order something else to drink instead, she said that they would not remove it off my receipt because "there is nothing wrong with it." Paid $5 for a milkshake I didnt drink, ate plain soggy fries and a super crispy fish. Even the salt I added to the fries was bad. The receipt also had the tip automatically added to my bill... Not worth it. Do not recommend.

If i had the option to leave a 0 rating i would. Good food.. but too bad the service was beyond terrible. Stopped by for lunch Sunday afternoon with out of town guests and were treated disgustingly by our server. Not only was she rude.. she put in our orders wrong and then refused to correct her mistake. We had to call over another server who then corrected our order. Too bad that wasnt event the worst part. When settling out bill we decided not to tip as the service she provided was so terrible..she then went on to chirp the words "cheap cheap cheap" under her breath..

I took my children out for lunch for the first time since March and was completely at ease with the COVID measures AJ's has put in place. Very clean and well marked environment, lots of space between tables and the staff were happy to help with any specific guidance. Lots of attention has been paid to little details to help make it as safe a place as possible. Both our lunch and the staff (Tammy) were excellent as always. I would recommend the Grilled Reuben with a side of fries. The fries were light and crispy with just a touch of salt. No need to add anything else to them. I would highly recommend AJ's for a family meal or one with those in your bubble. If you have questions, call ahead and the staff will help you out. Thanks to Tammy and all of the team at AJ's. :-)

First time going to AJ's, we ordered the French toast with scrambled eggs & bacon and the Philly cheesesteak omelette. The former came with a bowl of fruit and the latter with homefries. Been coming here for years. Love the classic all-day breakfast options. Can't go wrong with that. However, the last time my wife and I dropped in, we experienced a food sensitivity (spice) with one of the dishes and we were refused any kind of substitution or compensation. We were actually told by management that "it's supposed to be spicy" (although the menu item did not specify it). Anyway, aside from that one blip, I'd recommend this place to anybody looking for some good, old fashioned diner grub.

First, the people here are so sweet, accommodating and just plain good people. We ordered take away for simple burgers and fries and it was alright. We'll go back to try breakfast. My kids were happy and my 5yo said, we need to go back because he wants to hug "the lady." She made quite an impression. My husband and I decided to stop by for brunch around noon on Sunday. We were pleasantly surprised by the interior since it is located in a more industrial looking area with a pretty bland exterior. When we walked inside, the place was relatively busy and filled with families. There was a sign that directed us to seat ourselves. We sat down and we did not see any servers for some time. Finally, we saw a few of them zooming past us completely ignoring us. After more than 10 minutes, no one had stopped by to offer us a menu or even say hello. We finally managed to stop one of the waitresses to ask her for a menu and she informed us another person would be over with one shortly. We didn't receive one for another 5 minutes from there. We also asked for coffees at the time. When we received our coffees and menus, we were not provided any cream, milk, or sugar. We both just wanted a little bit of cream and ended up drinking it black since the waitress didn't return in time. The menu was pretty simple; there was a lunch menu and a breakfast one-pager. We both opted for omelettes and requested they be made gluten-free. The waitress told us that the home fries were not gluten-free and we would have to take a salad or fruit cup instead. We didn't mind since this is relatively standard for most brunch places. She then asked us what type of toast we wanted and we were a little worried after that she didn't understand what gluten-free meant. We opted for no toast and that was that. The food arrived and the omelettes were cooked well. We had no complaints about the food and we could see why the place had received a lot of good reviews; the food is simple, but it's good and homey. We had to wait a while again for our bill, but by the time we were finished, the place had pretty much cleared out. The waitress seemed more relaxed and we assumed they had been swamped earlier. My biggest complaint with our experience was the slow and dismissive service. If this is a weekly church crowd that shows up, then the management needs to ensure there is staff to keep up with the number of people. A simple "hello, we'll be right with you" would have made the experience better when we were waiting for a menu. Maybe it would be a much better experience on a slower day.

So fulllllll, I want to sleep! Anyways, I ordered the lumberjack (2 pancakes, 3 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, ham and fruit. My boyfriend ordered the hungry Man (3 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, ham, home fries and toast) plus we each had a coffee. All together the bill came to $25! That’s crazy cheap for the amount of food we ate. And, it seems like she knows her customers and their orders because they didn’t need menus. Very homely place. First time here and it won’t be the last!

Service was not great. I understand we are dealing with Covid but handing out 1 menu for 2 people is not a way to start especially when the menus are just copies on 8x11 paper. There seemed to be plenty of staff on hand but they were there to socialize rather than serve. Food was mediocre. I ordered Beef Dip on Baguette with Fries. Fries were hot, never had a baguette with sesame seeds before but it was ok. Lots of roast beef but it had very little flavour and the au jus was bland. My partner had the Gyro Pita which was good but had very little tzatziki. When we were finished we had to wait 10 minutes before our server came out of the back to ask if we wanted anything else. I could understand if it had been busy but we could hear them talking in the back. To top it off, when we got the bill the tray had 1 mint on it, the young guy next to us received a tray full. We just laughed at that. Disappointing after reading reviews and much different from a previous visit my family had last year. Won’t be back.

I forgot how big AJ's is and how friendly the staff are. We were seated quickly and covid guidelines followed. The menu is typical for a busy breakfast clientele. We were not rushed and offered refills often. Even though they were short staffed, the team checked on is often and promptly brought an item when asked. Good value for money.

Came for dinner with my family on Saturday as they have extended their hours until 9 PM. We initially had a plan to have sandwiches, coz that's my favorite, but they gave a whole new menu for dinner and it was something which I did not expect. we decided to try and I ordered Salmon Fillet and my husband ordered Chicken Chardonnay Dinner. The food was excellent and freshly prepared. It was different from what we have often. Will definitely visit again and try other Dinner Menu as well. It's worth it.
