This place is absolutely fantastic. My wife and I keep coming back because we love it so much. We toured some of the best restaurants in Vegas last year and this place is better by far in my opinion. We absolutely love the food and cozy atmosphere of this family owned and operated business. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and we'll be going back again soon.

My boyfriend suggested the restaurant off the highway on our way to Memorial Lake and it was Fabulous! Loved the rustic chic atmosphere and the food was outstanding! I would come here all the time on my way out to the lake! Great place to lose track of time and enjoy your company with some delicious Greek food

What a wonderful experience! Outdoor seating is nice, but it’s right by the highway, so that’s dealer’s choice. Inside has nice ‘50’s diner atmosphere, so we enjoyed our meal here. Very good food, large portions, you will not go away hungry & probably with a take away container! Nice comfortable seating, very nice restrooms, comfortable temperature. We went for lunch & service was maybe a little slow because the guy was managing the front register as well, but nothing intolerable & quite understandable. People were coming in for gas or ice cream, so it was busy. Delicious food, large selection of ice cream, very friendly service! Definitely going to come back again, highly recommended! Yes, please!

Neat place to stop and see. Very good food, prices are steep for what you get on some entrees but still worth it. The owners make you feel special, like a VIP. They take the time to explain everything so you understand what you're ordering. Only downside is they NEED air-conditioning, WOW was it hot in there and restaurant was only half full at the time of day we were there. Made it hard to enjoy the meal. Definitely recommend trying this place out. I'll be back!

Driving home from Blaine Lake to Saskatoon, we are hungry so in the middle of nowhere we stop for a bite to eat at an antique shop that also sells gas, has a small store with liquor, and a Greek restaurant. We order the grilled meat platter for two. Waitress informs us they are out of hamburger and will have to substitute. Platter arrives with 6x chicken breasts on a spear, 4x pork souvlakis, 4x Frenched lamb chops, and the burger substitution of 4x more lamb chops, and a small Greek salad, lemon, and tzaziki. Wow, authentically phenomenal food! Everything from service to presentation to delicious food. We also purchased their olives and olive oil which they produce at their farm in Greece on the island. Excellent and worth the short drive from Saskatoon.

Drove out for a birthday supper and ordered a bottle of Prosecco and Greek appetizer platter in advance! Very accommodating and everything was delicious and layered flavours within every dish

I was here a couple years ago, but the meal was so memorable I still rave about it to anyone that mentions Greek food! The restaurant itself is small, but inviting. It is connected to an antique store in a gas station. We were seated and served by what seemed to be the owner - truly welcoming man, took the time to recommend and explain some of the dishes, but also left us enjoy ourselves and our food. Our group of four people ordered a Greek Plate to start and every bite was amazing. I would have been satisfied eating just that (no sharesies!) as a matter of fact. But why stop there when you can have more food!? I ordered one of the steaks and I was in food heaven with everything - lots of flavour, the meat and vegetables were cooked perfectly. I even ate the mushrooms and I don't even like mushrooms! They definitely take their time preparing the dishes, so if you are in a hurry or are expecting "fast food", this restaurant will not work well for you. Personally, I enjoy the act of going out to eat and socializing while waiting for the meal to be ready so my experience was exactly what I wanted.

Arguably the worst dining experience I've ever had. The bathroom is right next to the entrance so when we walked in we were met with a melange of meat smells, old and new. Service was slow but it's a small place and I really wanted it to be good, so I managed to enjoy myself, until. We got the meat plate for 2. The ribs were decent, steak was good, but I had been eyeing the rotisary chicken. It was brought out on a spit and the juices had been dripping onto everything else, which I thought was brilliant. The piece on the end was good, but the next piece was raw. Not opaque, not questionable-but-close, raw. Red juice, and so tough I couldn't cut through it. Everything we ate had been basted in this. OK. Still trying to salvage the experience. Waitress (who seemed really nice, no hate there) came to the table and I complained that the chicken was raw. She said they were having trouble with the oven and that we weren't the first table to complain about this. She took the plate. We went to pay, and I asked if we were being compensated for being served raw chicken. The lady behind the till seemed flustered and said if we wanted a refund we should have complained. I said we did, she said "oh". We bought some fireworks, and left. Did the brain math on the way back to the car and figured that I didn't get subsidized. Went back in but there was no one in the store. Waited, then went back into the restaurant and grabbed the older guy. I told him I didn't want to pay for raw chicken, he told me I should have complained because he had no way to know that I wasn't just lying. I told him I did complain, twice. He shrugged that off and patronizingly told me that "how it works" is that I should have brought him back the plate, and he would have warmed the chicken back up in the oven until it was done, and given it back. I'm no Doctor of Food Science, but I don't think that would have fixed all the chicken blood on my ribs. He gave me $15 off a $65 meal that I shouldn't have eaten a third of. I got a chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream cone for the drive, and it was probably the best part of the experience, aside from my company. I tried so hard to make this experience not suck, and I was entirely outmatched. This place is awful, and I wish that waitress the best.

Our first time at The Olive Tree, and it was awesome. The food was really good, reasonably priced, and extremely plentiful. The wine selection was fantastic also! All of the staff was really pleasant. The only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star was that they seated everyone in the same area so I had to listen to someone’s annoying kids during date night. I guess you could say they included birth control! ????

Beautiful place amazing craftsmanship. A must see! cozy and Amazing family operated restaurant. Had the rack of lamb and it was absolutely delicious. Portions were huge ended up taking half home. Will be back again soon. Michael is an absolute gem! Recommend this place 100% worth the drive!

Really neat store and cool that it's out in the middle of no where. They have a good restaurant, but be weary. Even though it's advertised as a 50s diner, you're still going to end up paying about 40 bucks for a burger and fries once you factor in taxes and a tip.

I can’t speak for the food but the service is horrible. Me and my bf stopped in here for a drink while on a road trip, we got seated by a rude man and then waited a good 10 mins before leaving as nobody came to take our order. Not impressed.

This place had a great reputation and good review, but we just didnt feel that. We went her for our anniversary and left with $130 less and less than satisfied. My $54 steak was well-done instead of medium rare. Shrimp was cold. Hubbies greek ribs were tough. No one ever came around to ask how our meals were. No one ever came to take our plates, ask if 0we wanted our extra ribs packed up, never came back. I think she went home because I actually went and looked for her. The glass of wine I ordered was 1/3 full and $14. Hubby ordered a pint of pilsner and it was $1÷. We never saw a drink menue so we didnt know how expensive it was going to be. The owner told us the beer glass was 25 oz but it was a 16 ounce glass. He claims they use high quality brand, not cheap, but it tasted like a basic glass of house red. We went there with high expectations and left knowing we will never go back there

Such an interesting place. Amazing restaurant more high end and great Mediterranean cuisine. This place has a liquor store, some groceries, fireworks and food items like spices and olive oils from Crete. Staff are so Friendly. We found the place from Jenn Sharp's book Flat out Delicious. We were in 20 min before Amy apparently LOL! First thing the cook/waiter says too us was "too many flies"! One look at menu not what we were expecting....outside says Diner definitely not! Nothing for kids too expensive for our taste so left even before he came back to check on us!

This is a wonderful find! A nice drive from Saskatoon, wonderful Greek food, and fantastic hosts....what else could you ask for. Servings are generous and I would suggest splitting the tzatziki. It is one of the best I had with generous serving of delicious bread. Entrees are also generous that could easily be shared! What a wonderful find with amazing decor!

The service was very slow. Two customers walked out because they were completely ignored. The flys were all over the place and made it hard to eat. It's very expensive, though I will say the food was good when we finally got it over an hour after ordering.

Beautiful family owned restaurant. Authentic Greek food. I highly recommend the greek platter. My family ordered chicken, steak, salmon and shrimp pastas. I personally do not like salmon because it's usually fishy but I rather enjoyed it! Everything was 100% . Worth every dollar.

I have been to this establishment a few years back and it was GREAT but now this time around was so disappointing. Please spend your hard earned money elsewhere. I'm one for supporting family run businesses but please let me say that Its just not worth it. We ordered the chicken souvlaki and two racks of ribs- which they stated were on special (not on the menu). The food lacked flavor, was dry and we waited an hour and a half or even more for our food. The prices of the menu items are so unreasonable for what you get it just isn't worth the price. The service was lacking in a way that they didn't come by to ask how everything was nor did I feel like they cared. They didn't check on any tables in the restaurant. Just basically drop and go. For the amount of money that is spent there it should be a dining experience and the food and service should match these expectations- especially for these prices. I have recommended this place to people in the past and honestly I regret ever recommending it to people and for those that I have and have tried this establishment I'm truly am sorry! I just want people to have a great dining experience when they are spending their money going out. Just please go elsewhere- Rant over!

Absolutely excellent. The prices look a little high for an out of the way place, but the portions are incredible, the plantings beautiful and the flavors absolutely fantastic. Service is slow paced, due to it basically being a two person operation, but it's all worth it

If you like paying exorbitant prices for underwhelming, unimpressive food, this is the place for you. Not to mention how this supposedly fine dining restaurant is crawling with flies, the two hour wait, and the menu that doesn't list everything on the dish (if you have allergies and are a gambling individual, highly recommend).

We decided to try this restaurant based on other reviews. While the owners were lovely people, the atmosphere was quite nice, except for the flies, we have mixed things to say about the food. My husband ordered the Stroganoff steak which he said was excellent, however it was served with frozen not fresh vegetables which were horrible. With a $48 price tag it's not unreasonable to expect better. When my husband expressed his disappointment there was no apology offered nor any offer of a discount or substitute for the horrible veggies. We have received better treatment in far less expensive restaurants. My order of Greek Ribs and Greek Salad was very good.
