Had a reservation, showed up, the guy behind the bar practically laughed when I said we were here for our reservation. Apparently they were really backed up due to another group, an hour backed up. That would have been fine if he had called to let us know before everything else in town closed, including the grocery store. No apology, I haven’t been treated like that in a long time.

Dungeons Distillery was such a pleasant delight & certainly stands out …given the other local choices. The food was excellent, tasty & delicious. In fact, we made reservations for our 2nd night on our first night. Do yourselves a favor & enjoy a tasty meal served to you from Dave & meticulously prepared for you by Kathy his wife chef. The decor is modern, the place is impeccably clean & well lit. The music was spot on & so we enjoyed two fun evenings thanks to their warm hospitality. Ambiance, food, service, everything was top notch. Had some great conversations and laughs with the owners and fellow tourists and received some excellent travel tips and advice. I had a fun time. The steak flatbread was outstanding and was just what I needed tonight. Also loved the interior decor and furniture. The owners have good taste :) Highly recommended.

Beer & Apps for now. Can't wait for the Distillery to open.The tap room "The Keep" which is the old train station is beautiful, spacious, new, clean & handicap accessible as is the patio.

For the best dining experience in bonavista..don't miss dungeons distillery. Can't wait to come back. Thank you for the memories. A very special cook will please you with the love she adds to your meal. We tried the chicken parmesan and rice poulaf and it was superb. The rice was light, fluffy and tasty. The broccoli heads were cooked to perfection but the chicken was so deliciously the best we ever had....moist and tender with a very fine coating. So wonderful to have a meal prepared by a professional chef. Thank you!

We stopped here after our tour of the Bonavista peninsula for some food and drinks. We ordered the chicken flatbread and chilli, along with local beer. It was delicious! We enjoyed talking with the owners, Kathy and David, and got some tips on more places to check out in the area. The design of the place is also pretty cool and has a story. Overall, we are happy with our visit and recommend coming here for food and drink

The service was not there: we waited 1:15 to get our meal (there seemed to be a shortage of staff), for a small pizza and 6 tacos not even cooked ($ 96). We also waited 20 minutes to get our drinks. No commercial gesture from the manager despite the inconvenience. We will not be going back. 2 stars because it was good. Le service n'était pas au rendez-vous : nous avons attendu 1h15 pour obtenir notre repas (il semblait y avoir pénurie de personnel), pour une petite pizza et 6 tacos même pas cuits (96$). Nous avons aussi attendu 20 minutes pour obtenir nos breuvages. Aucun geste commercial du gérant malgré le désagrément. Nous n'y retournerons pas. 2 étoiles parce que c'était bon.

If you want to eat in Bonavista. This is the place to go. Relaxing atmosphere. Great service. Excellent food and drinks. The chef is experienced at pleasing the palate.

Excellent spot and the owners are terrific. Went here late on a Tuesday and spent the hour chatting with the owners. Every design aspect has a story. Tasting room is open but we are all looking forward to the grand opening of the distillery

Just stopped in for a brew before heading to the Cape Bonavista lighthouse. Delicious selection of Quidi Vidi suds, but even better was the chat with David who recommended many local attractions and helped us plan the next day of our trip with his terrific suggestions!! Thanks so much!!

Amazing service! They were so accommodating of my Gluten Free & Dairy Free food restrictions and the food was excellent! It’s SO nice to have found a place that doesn’t deep free everything like all the other restaurants in town! 5 stars, will definitely be back again before we head home!
