I went to Eggsquis after dropping my dad off at his doctors appointment. When I was sat down by the hostess and noticed people arriving after me were being offered coffee before me, I let one of the waitresses know that I was in a bit of a hurry. I didn’t show any attitude and smilingly and respectfully requested for my order to be taken. What followed honestly took me by surprise. The two waitresses that were on the floor began searching for my waitress and when they found her, my waitress didn’t seem impressed. She had a very annoyed look on her face. She walked over to my table without looking me in the eyes or even smile. She threw the utensils on front of me, filled my cup up with coffee without even asking me if I wanted coffee (I wanted tea) then asked “what do you want in your order”. I responded with a “Hi, how are you?” and smiled at her. She responded with “what do you want in your order” without lifting her eyes from her little booklet. At which point I got up and said “never mind, I’m done here”. She asked why and I told her it’s unacceptable to scatter utensils in front of me and not even respond to my hi. The thing is, the staff is never really pleasant to deal with here. This time I had just had enough. I went over to Chez Cora and plan on going there from now on. The staff is pleasant and the food is decent and it’s only a minute away from eggsquis.

This review is for WAWEL Patisserie .Cafe which is adjacent to it. I have just discovered it when I met the owner. It is a beautiful little place with so much delicacies and other goods. It is good to see a small business trying to survive in this uncertainty economy. I visited there twice and found so many delicious delicacies to buy. I love them all. They even make sandwiches from a wide variety of meat, cheeses and different varieties of bread. I visited there earlier this evening.

This place is a very good breakfast place. You can find all the traditional breakfast foods that you can think of. It is very popular in this area so you will have to wait in a bit of a lineup from time to time but it moves relatively quickly. This place will be packed though. So, ppl will bump into your chair. Also, for some reason, I have never gotten a full bottle of Ketchup when I eat there. But, they will bring you a new one very quickly. However, the prices are good, the service is good and the food is good. Overall, a good place to go as a group, alone or in a date.

Revisited in November 2021. They used to leave a carafe of coffee at the table. They don't anymore and the coffee they do serve is not great. Looking for a bit of an upgrade, I ordered a "latte". It was really bad and was definitely not an espresso drink with steamed milk. The eggs and toast were fine though but that's not a very high bar. I can't recommend this place.

We got seated pretty fast which was nice but we then realized that we had been seated quickly due to the high amount of tables set everywhere. The layout of the tables made you be really close to everyone else's tables which made it feel overcrowded but also made it take longer for us to be served. The pancakes were pretty good but had to wait 5 minutes after receiving them to be able to ask for syrup since there was none on the table. Breakfast potatoes were also pretty tasty due to the seasoning!

Great-looking place. Very friendly staff. The food though... Ham and swiss cheese crepe was plain nasty. The combination of ingredients was awful. Bacon was super crispy, sausages were full of sodium and make you nauseated. The beans did not look or taste like breakfast beans. They were tomato-flavored which do not go in a breakfast especially when you go at 6 am. The potatoes were way too crispy and the seasoning was really uneven. Some had no seasoning at all and tasted nothing. The eggs were good, well cooked. The bread was good but a little too much margarine. No point going there, the whole point is supposed to be having a satisfying breakfast to start off your day. Satisfying, it was not. Too bad because I really enjoyed the friendly customer service.
