My boyfriend had the mushroom burger a couple weeks ago and he really liked it. We tried them again tonight and we were the last customers. The wait was quite long (around 40mins) and when we got home, the fries we very overcooked, the burgers were overdone and very salty. Kind of upset thats the outcome after spending $40.

I gotta say, my breakfast brisket sandwich was great, delicious BUT it was $10 and took over 20min to make two slices of lightly toasted bread, a fried egg and brisket.... no sides, nothing. That was a $5 sammy tops. Probs won't be back.

We ordered about $100.00 worth of food today and we were not impressed. I get that times are tough right now but I was really hoping for higher quality of service. The kale caesar salad had no kale in it at all. The BBQ platter was not worth 60.00 in the slightest. The brisket and pork portions were lumped together and our extra side was added onto the platter to make it more full. The Yucca fries only came with seven spears and overall the food was not hot at all. The burger came with nothing on it at all aside from the patty, albeit with ketchup and mustard on the side. I understand with delivery that is a trade off you might have to sacrifice for but with everything else, I wouldn’t say I could recommend this for a quality supper option. It’s just not what the menu and the photos describe.

I picked up a hot dog yesterday afternoon. The flavour was great but the presentation of the hot dog was terrible. Everything was kind of hanging out of the bun. With the lid of the container closed, everything was pretty soggy by the time I got to the car. But I would try again

I was there for 2 different occasions. Lunch was lovely: good portion, delicous! But the breakfast we had the second time there was barely average. The poached egg is set, not soft as I have requested. The steak and egg: well done, not medium rare as requested. The waffles was too dense.

Bistro 116 is no longer a bistro serving soup salad and sandwiches, they are Big Al's smoked meats/Bistro 116 serving smoked brisket, Smoked meat, hamburgers and fries/poutine the size of a small car. The food/meat is delicious but if you are looking for a quick soup/sandwich/salad combo that Bistro 116 use to offer it is not on the menu you will need to go elsewhere. If you want excellent smoked meat you won't be disappointed. Side note for Covid seating - excellent spacing and clear open space

Ordered the pulled pork on a bun and was pleased with how it tasted. The BBQ sauce was just the right level of tangy and the meat was tender. The seasoned fries were a pleasant surprise, and disappeared quickly. Would definitely recommend.

We ordered the poutine, yucca fries, and fish & chips. The poutine was very good but the yucca fries were way overdone. The fish was basically mush in the middle, tasted pretty bad, and was served with mayo not tartar sauce. Overall I was disappointed, but will order from them again as this could just be a one off.

Had the smoked meat sandwich for takeout and it was just not good. The smoked meat... I would not call smoked meat. Tasted an awful like like heated corn beef and was lazily put together with barely any mustard. Kitchen was very messy behind the till. Maybe it’s better for a sit down meal but my first experience was poor.

I sampled their food at the Downtown Belleville Spicy Food Contest. In my opinion they had the best combo of heat and flavour. I grow my own Ghost Peppers and I love spicy food. Too many times restaurants sacrifice flavour to try and make it hotter or vice versa. So I was very excited to be served food that was very spicy and well flavoured. Well done. We are looking forward to our first visit at your restaurant.

Worst food I've ever ordered & very unprofessional customer service. $70 down the drain for the BBQ platter that had a total of 3 bites. The food is shameful. No option to be refunded. Poor customer service. My husband and I are both chefs and massive foodies, it takes A LOT for us to not finish or eat a bad dish. Will not be going back and I don't recommend anybody go.

116 was still operating out of their food truck as of my visit (Sept 10), but the covered patio area was lovely and well shaded. I wasn't aware of the time when I arrived for my early lunch, but the young woman who was setting up was super gracious as I bugged her mid-prep to ask if/when they were open. I know the trend these days is for food trucks to go full gourmet, so I shouldn't be surprised as to the quality of the pulled pork sandwich I got, but I was a little. From placing my order to having it served couldn't've been more than 10-15 minutes and it delicious. The bun was warm and positively STUFFED with pulled pork. The sauce dripped and it was delicious. (a good pulled pork sandwich should always drip) It came with coslaw and a massive portion of fries which were Al's quite yummy. As I waited, the owner (or maybe manager?) came out to check that the music wasn't too loud and then followed up after my meal to ask how I found the food. He was very pleasant and informed me that the renovated restaurant should be reopened in time for when the weather turns too cold to enjoy the patio. I'll definitely be coming again to try the other tempting menu items.

I ordered grilled cheese with sauted onions/ fries & my son had the Philly cheese steak sandwich / fries. Perfect amount of food. Good price & we both enjoyed our meals very much. Our server was warm, professional & perfectly attentive. Good coffee too. The Cole slaw tasted home made. I would definitely recommend this restaurant & Will be returning soon!

The food is not great. The pulled pork isn't anything special. Quite a few tough chunks or pieces of pure fat covered in a pretty unremarkable sauce. I probably should have listened to my gut when the BBQ sauce was being poured from one of those huge bottles of premade stuff. The chicken wings were pretty dry and otherwise nothing special. Just your average fried wings. The chicken quarter was also pretty dry and flavorless. The ribs aren't too bad though. Bit tough, but decent flavor even without any sauce. I would have liked to review the brisket, but I was only told they didn't have any when I got to the store. There was no mention of it being unavailable when I ordered take out over the phone. I understand that there's problems with supply and the price of beef, but still. As for the sides, they ranged from eh to bad. The onion rings were so greasy, I didn't even bother with them. The fries and coleslaw are alright. The cornbread is a bit too dry and crumbly for my taste, but decent for flavor. If you're really craving BBQ then I guess this is your only choice in the area, but personally I'll be waiting until I head to Toronto for some better spots.

Ordered through skip...very prompt service and food was hot when it arrived. Very tasty, the only complaint is I ordered the pulled pork with crispy onions on a pretzel bun...I received it on a wrap and with no onions which I paid $3.50 for....very disappointed

Wish I could do 0 stars..... Went this morning for breakfast.... Both had the same..... Prepaid.... We both didn't eat our food it was absolutely disgusting. It took 10 mins after receiving our food to get our coffees which were made improperly and filled with chunks..... Incredibly disappointed..... Paid for 2 meals and 2 coffees that got sent back, with no offer to reemburse.... We will not be back.

We have been trying local restaurants and last night we tried “116 Bistro”. Sadly we ordered 1/2 hour before closing. The sliders were OK, even good. The Mac and cheese was delicious. HOWEVER, the brisket was tough and full of hard gristle ( had to use a steak knife to cut thru the meat). The brisket slices were covered in a a bbq sauce that was added and was nasty...maybe it was meant to disguise the poorly cooked brisket. The coleslaw was good. HOWEVER, the french fries were rock hard and dry. Couldn’t pick up with a fork. In fact,, when I pushed on the fries they crumbled. The fries looked like they had been sitting around for a while and had been reheated in an oven. Worst fries from a restaurant in along time. We paid good money $51.00. for supper. Sadly, this restaurant did not live up to their menu. I deliberated about sending this post, but my money is limited and I did not get my money’s worth from this meal.

Quite disappointed. The brisket in the sandwich was good. But everything was served cold. The buns were not grilled, or toasted or warmed up; just straight out of the bag. The wait was long and there was barely any clients. I got a poutine to replace the fries and it was cold, half of the potatoes were not fully cooked and there was barely any cheese, it was pretty much a fries and gravy. I would not recommend or go again.
