Absolutely amazing! Hands down the best Mexican food I've ever had. We tried several things on the menu and everything was outstanding. The portions are huge and incredibly tasty. The kids menu is also creative and perfect for little kids. The drinks are also fantastic. You can tell a lot of effort was put into selecting not only whats on draft, but the cocktails as well. The details and care put into everything from the dishes, to the food, to the spices, is most excellent.

It was a good dinner, overall nice experience, great service, and most importantly it was a good food, the Sopecitos where okay the corn need it bit more pan time to be amazing, and the Ceviche Tostada really good really tasty and well mix flavours, the fish tacos where great need it more crispy to the fish. And the churros to end really well served dessert. Highly recommend.

Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly and enthusiastic staff. Excellent food, both presentation and taste. Large portion sizes, consider this before ordering appetizers...you may get overwhelmed with great tasting fare. I am a confirmed omnivor with strong carniverous tendencies. I LOVED the food. No flavour or textures came up short.

Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants out there! I've been twice in less than a month with different friends because it was so delicious. The Barbacoa tacos are to die! The fry supreme is also so huge we had to ask for half the serving each time. I've also tried the El pastor tacos and chicken fajitas which were also amazing. After, I ordered the churros with vanilla ice cream and the brownie (forget the proper name) and both were delicious. I cannot praise this restaurant enough and can tell the owners truly pour their heart and soul into it. I love meat but this resturaunt has me thinking otherwise!

The food is amazing! For me was like being in Mexico City again. If you're looking for "Mexican food" like burritos and other Tex-Mex dishes, don't come here. BUT if you want real Mexican food, then this is the place to be!

????????????????????????Best Mexican food anywhere! The tacos are amazing! (But try the nachos and enchiladas too!) ????Everything on the menu of great - authentic and with good portion sizes. And there’s lots of interesting and yummy products on hand like Mexican chocolate, soy curls, local beer and cider, hibiscus petals, fabulous cheeses, Mexican soft drinks and more! Be sure to take home a package of frozen croissants to bake at home - you will be glad you did!

Everything we had was amazing! Unfortunately they were out of the seasonal Mexican corn but all the other dishes made up for it! Highly recommend the barbacoa! 10/10 would definitely go back!

What an awesome place to have some amazing vegan Mexican food. The loaded fries were huge! I definitely recommend! Shared the Loaded Fries, Fish Tacos and Huarache between 2 people and brought some leftovers home. Churros and ice cream were fantastic for dessert.

For all you foodies, you will ❤️love to dine at @mexhico_restaurant. For starters you must have the guacamole & chips and loaded fries with barbacoa and jalapeno ????!!! It melts in your mouth ???? The fish ???? and barbacoa tacos ???? are superb!!! Make room for the cayenne pepper brownie with ice cream ???? Did I mention sangria ?!?! Yummmmmmm! Definitely will be going back for more ???? Their chilaquiles portion is MASSIVE! and so delicious! Their customer service is also AMAZING. I forgot to leave with my take out container and the waitress saw me through the window and ran out to ask if I still wanted it! I forgot her name but she was super lovely, as is everyone every time I’ve come. Super lovely people and amazing, delicious food! I will continue recommending this place to my friends so they can try!

Wow! I am so blown away by this place and I’ve only had take out. I cannot wait to come back and sit on their patio. The whole restaurant has such an uplifting and happy vibe. The aesthetic is beautiful, I saw some food go out to tables and their serving plates/ presentation is gorgeous. It may seem expensive at first but you get a very hearty portion size no matter what you order, and the quality is fantastic. So happy this is a part of downtown Barrie and I can’t wait to become a regular!

Absolutely love this spot. The service is 10/10, beyond expectations ???????? very much appreciated the atmosphere, the extensive menu, the portion sizes are large and everything is so flavourful. Tried the loaded fries, tacos el pastor and the herache (excuse the spelling). Everything was so good I can't even choose a favourite. Also tried the spiced coffee with tastes like chocolate. I really liked the plates and cups (I believe they're hand made clay) - gorgeous! Highly recommend and will be back ???? if vegan/vegetarian places and people are always this happy I want to join the club

Some of the best Mexican food I have had in a while. All vegan, which makes it awesome. Their vegan meats are amazing, and very well marinated. My daughter got her kids meal on a dino, which totally won her over. The service was top notch as well. We'll definitely visit again.

If you want to taste delicious Mexican food, visit Mexhico. The portions, presentation and flavour of the food are SUPERB! Also the atmosphere and decoration made me feel I was in my homecountry. The best of all, it's all vegan. You won't be able to tell that the pastor is not meat! Try this place. You will love it.

Incredible authentic food. Was nothing like I expected. *** DO KNOW THIS PLACE IS VEGAN ONLY*** so if you're okay with that come on in. They also checked for both the vaccine certificate QR codes and government ID. Kudos for them for keeping up with what should be done. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful with menu offers and suggestions. If you want to try Mexican cuisine this is the place to go in Barrie!

A gem in the heart of downtown Barrie! If you haven't had a chance to experience their Authentic Mexican inspired dishes I would highly recommend you stop in. Their menu is entirely vegan and trust me, you don't have to be vegan to appreciate the food. I had the Tacos De Barbacoa and they were fabulous! Worth the visit!

What a fantastic spot - we recently got a bunch of take out from Mexhico and everything was so delicious. A great variety of options, full of flavour. Love that they have a kids menu. The churros were out of this world good. Loved it, we will be back!

An all vegan Mexican restaurant? Yes please! When visiting family in Ontario I purposely drove out of my way to eat here - and it was so worth it! I only wish I could have ordered and eaten more lol. Unfortunately their corn appie wasn’t yet in season so I couldn’t try that too. Bought the barbacoa tacos and the pastor tacos, as well as a side of guacamole, rice, and refried beans. Bean portion was tiny but tasty. The barbacoa tacos were stuffed to the brim and very tasty. Pastor has these yummy crunchy bits. Hopefully one day when back in town we can visit again.

I love this place. Food, vibe, decor makes it feel fun authentic and relaxed. Went for the 1st time yesterday with our 1yo and she loved the place too wanting to run around and experience it herself. Being at a restaurant we try and harness that energy to not be a bother. The owner came over and just let us know it was ok for her to be curious and enjoy the space too, he gave her a dinosaur to play with while we waited for our food. I feel as parents we are conditioned to feel like kids have to behave and stay quiet while they are out. I think its beautiful that this restaurant let us have this fun experience in the way my daughter wanted to. We did not feel ashamed. Thank you so much⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Authentic Mexican with a twist served on handcrafted, Mexican made, one of a kind hand painted plates. The menu is 100% vegan and majority of the dishes are gluten free. MANUEL, the owner and creator of this unique experience comes to your table to check on things and is one of the most genuine humble restaurant owners I have met. He truly demonstrates a passion and love for his craft. His dishes, flavours and unique use of mushrooms create some of the most amazing flavours I have ever experienced. We started with the nachos and followed that up with the Enchiladas. I was beyond impressed with both dishes and had enough to take home and enjoy for lunch the next day. Overall a one of a kind very unique experience. I know some of you are saying vegan, not for me, I say try it, it was truly amazing!! And of course you are supporting local at a time when we need to support local, check this place out.

Quite literally the most delicious Mexican food I’ve ever had. Vegan or not, you’ll be blown away by the complex and delicious flavours and textures. I will happily drive an hour each way to get Mexhico on a weekly basis. It’s THAT good. Do not miss the Tacos de Barbacoa or Huaraches. But you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The churros are incredible! So happy to have such an amazing restaurant like this nearby (ish)! Oh and they use compostable containers for takeout. What’s not to love?!

Churros was good yet it was too crispy to eat with the spoon, as for the cayenne pepper brownie, it was okay but there should have more options for desert. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff were friendly. We really liked the patio and its design but seating was limited.

We celebrated our daughter’s birthday by dining in. Our server was excellent and the food was good and I’m grateful for a great vegan option. Unfortunately, our experience was not good at all. The restaurant was so hot it was too uncomfortable to even enjoy eating. The wasps were out of control and caused a lot of distress as they were all over us and the food. We couldn’t even stay to celebrate with a birthday dessert. The server agreed it was hot and the wasps were bad but the door stayed open the entire time we were there. No fans and no air on a very hot day, I wish we had known that when we made the reservation. My daughter spent the night feeling bad about her restaurant choice. Very unfortunate experience when the food is really good.

Well worth the hour drive EVERY time. Never disappoints. Working on trying the entire menu. Everything has been amazing! The hurrache is definitely a must ever time. The staff and owners are so friendly and really make you feel like family. Love how the owners will make time to check in and chat when they can.

A very lovely restaurant and nice staff. I enjoyed my first visit and the food was good! A bit pricy, but understandable for the portion of food you get. The place could use a bit of work on creating a real Mexican experience. The music was very good, but you kind of feel it doesn't match with the restaurant's appearance, which is very vanilla/standard. I don't think a few wall posters are enough for creating this vibe.

The perfect night out at Barrie's VEGAN Mexican restaurant Mexhico! Live music, mouth-watering authentic Mexican flavours, $1 tequila shots to celebrate their anniversary, and the best margaritas I've had in quite some time. What amazing vibes... the warmth of family... vibrant colours... gorgeous plants... people smiling, laughing and dancing! And the service... it was absolutely incredible, unmatched! At the end of our night, we were entered into a raffle just for being there and won $50. Needless to say, we'll definitely be coming back! I highly recommend to vegans and non-vegans alike.

My wife and I felt like Mexican food while driving through Barrie. We googled Mexican restaurants and found Mexhico. When we walked in the young lady advised us that they were 100% vegan and asked us if we were okay with that. We both aren't vegan but decided to give it a try. We ordered guacamole and chips, chicken fajitas and churros. The food and service was amazing. Even though I eat meat I definitely wouldn't pass up an opportunity to eat at Mexhico.
