We did not have a good time. We would not recomend anyone to come eat here nor would we ever come back. Appetizers and both entree meals were not hot at all, salad not enough dressing. I am not usually one to complain but this time I had to because this was date night for us both and we were looking forward to a nice meal together, also when paying a fair amount for steak dinner you are expecting it to be hot!! Waitress was not very attentive to the fact that we were not happy and at one point I told her just pack it up and we'll take it home and enjoy it there. Side note as Barrie had just recently moved into indoor dining again we were not asked for our contact information and I was sort of shocked that this happened as this has been done at all other restaurants i have gone to since then. Sort of upset that this entire situation happened. Hubby went to the to the car he was that upset that this happened.

Take out night at our house and as usual Casa Mia came through! Prime rib was perfect medium rare, hard to do with delivery. We ordered two mains and one appetizer and have lots leftover for breakfast. Highly recommend Casa Mia! So sorry I did not take a photo.

Went to the restaurant tonight for our anniversary dinner when we got there the parking lot was a skating rink.. Food was okay but not amazing. The amount of garlic that was in the bruschetta ruined the rest of the meal.

Agree with other person who posted, "stick to their Greek dishes". We ordered delivery. Their Italian food was quite poor aside from spaghetti and linguini alfredo… i.e. pesto-based pasta was poorly done (and had to pay $3 extra to substitute it for side spaghetti…wtf?). Greek and Caesar salads soggy so can't keep as left-overs. Bruschetta was decent. Good staff over the phone but felt rushed despite taking our rather large order… $200+ (tax included) for 7 people. Overall it wasn't worth it. Summary - overcharged for below average food.

This was absolutely the worst experience I have had. Waited for 50 my past my pre ordered time, not cool. Then called again to ask about my order (after 45 minutes) and was given attitude by the person on the phone. When I got my very simple order home, chicken was not even cooked through. Unbelievable, I will never go back. This is not my first bad experience with them. If you are looking for a nice friendly quality dinner ina reasonable amount of time, do not go here....go somewhere,anywhere else

My mother has gone here 30+ times for their greek salad alone (the feta cheese is amazing) whereas I have only visited it once for my father's birthday in September. The inside decor, lighting, seating, music, service, etc. is all very nice and makes for a nice ambiance. Too bad the views outside the windows are pretty drab. Service makes up for that. The food itself was delicious. If you go here you've got to order Greek food instead of Italian. I ordered the Chicken El Greco and their Greek Salad. Both tasted wonderful. The prices are fair for what you're getting. Overall, I'd say it's a great restaurant.

Went out with our children and in-laws. Food was good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Unfortunately our waitress (blond hair) seemed like she'd rather be somewhere else. Not friendly, like it was a chore to be doing her job. Don't think I saw a smile. There was an older woman who came around a few times to check on us (possibly the owner?) She was very nice. All in all would go back for the food, but the service left a sour taste in my mouth.

First time, Last time I was there with my wife and our friends there two days ago. unfortunately there's no ZERO in review and I had to ONE because: The food was poor compared to other Greek restaurants and more importantly our waiteress was very rude، for example, she threw a basket of bread and sweets on the table. in the end it is never recommended.

First time dining at Casa Mia. Staff was attentive and pleasant yet not over powering- perfect for us. Food was great. Caesar salad was one of the best I have had and the Linguine Pacifico had an excellent depth of flavour. Banana cake was fine. Not made in house so kind of expected. Will go again and will order take out for sure. Enjoy!

Enjoyed Mother’s Day dinner to go during a crazy night. Honestly, if you were a part of this event I hope you packed your patience and understanding. These guys, despite technical difficulties and a large number of orders exceeded our expectations (as they have for many years!). Food was fresh and hot (even after the drive to Minesing). We don’t even care that we had to wait! Totally understandable given the situation. Thank you for a great meal and memory. We will be back and will continue to order online until things turn around. To other customers: don’t let this one night turn you away from a great local business!

the food was good but my pasta had some slightly more burnt spaghettis around the edges and the salad I ordered didnt arrive until i asked for it and the waitress asked the chef who did not prepare it. They brought it out shortly after. They were very polite nevertheless and apologized. Decoration is nice but it just seems a little dim.

Everything was delivered on-time and hot from the kitchen. In addition to bruschetta with and without feta cheese, we ordered the Greek Village Chicken, a large portion of lasagna, and two orders of spaghetti with meatsauce. The large portion of lasagna was a huge portion of delight that was thoroughly baked and delectable, filled with sauce and cheese. I savored the veggies in the Greek Village Chicken, also a baked dish. They were crisp and done to perfection, served with a grilled, breaded chicken breast, all in marinara sauce topped with melted cheese. They spaghetti with meat sauce earned praise from two people who frequently make their own pasta sauce.

This is supposedly is an upscale restaurant. Food and service were excellent. Parking also great. Prices appear to be high. Now I say 'appear' because the bill was far lower than I expected due to an 'à la carte price' but once main course is ordered, the salad, etc. are discounted, I suppose sort of a combination price. I was though, quite shocked at the scappy condition of the table (long overdue for a finishing). It simply didn't fit in with the rest of the decor. In fact so bad, it may be the determining factor of my return visit or not.

The food is so good and the service is so bad. We waited an hour for our food and when it came our plates were so hot and our food was drying out from sitting under a heat lamp. A table for 8 beside us got up and left because no one would take their drink orders. No one cared that they left. Front of house is.embarassingly bad. I feel sorry for the chef. They let him down.

Easily the worst food I've had in a long time. I went here 6 years ago, and I remember it being great, so I figured, tonight my girlfriend and I would have a nice date night. The vodka martini tasted like water, the wine tasted like it had already separated into vinegar. The steamed mussels in their sauce was really bad. The calamari was rubber with just a charred flavour. My parmigiano El forno was fresh out of the microwave and my girlfriends half rack of ribs was dry, the veggies that came with it were not fresh at all. Tasted like they were steamed from frozen. I opted to get a Greek salad instead of the garden salad my partner got. Our salads were identical minus the sprinkle of feta mine got. How the heck is that a $4.50 upgrade?! Only good thing was a server was nice. Will never ever go back. What a disappointment. Would give zero stars if possible.

We had great garlic/cheese/bacon bread starter. The trout & lamb entrees were delicious along with salads. Service was great. We didn't have enough room for dessert so will be coming back with a bigger appetite to also try the desserts.

We ordered in 3 meals for our 36th anniversary...grilled Calamari for starters was delicious! Pasta for one was enough for at least 2! Parmagianno al forno super tender, with the greek potatoes, amazing, Souvlaki was tender and perfectly spiced. The greek salad was huge. Definitely a great deal, delivered a bit early and piping hot! Restaurant is very nice and welcoming, server was great. Probably understaffed she run around very busy. took a while to get main dish. Presentation of ishes is great too. Greek salad did not feel fresh though. Broccoli penne lacked broccoli. Need better description of dishes. Chicken with mushrooms and peppers in a pasta souse turned out to be a pasta with chicken with very little peppers and mushrooms.

Terrible service, vegetables not cooked properly as you couldn't even bite into them. My husband went to cut his carrot and it shot across the room. When we complained, the server just looked at us and said nothing. Will not ever be going back

I do not know why this place got 4 stars! It is a 5 star resturant in the scale of Barrie. I am from Toronto and this place is much more better than many restaurants in GTA. There is a decent number of food variety to choose from. I’ve tried their steak and lamb rack both of which tasty, well-cooked, and fairy priced. The service is attentive and nice! I’ll come back soooon to try their veal parmesan this time ;)

Old school vibe! Picked up lunch during work. The Greek salad with chicken is a generous portion. I love dill and was pleasantly surprised that it was in the Greek dressing however it was a little overwhelming. Pro tip: order min 30mins ahead!

Had dinner with my wife here one night. Overall experience was great. Staff was warm and friendly. Cute restaurant, feels like it needs a freshening up. I'm Italian and my wife is Greek. I ate a Greek dish and she had Italian. We also sampled each others meals...we both agreed that both meals were ok. Portions were decent. They just seemed to lack a bit of flavour. Maybe it's because we are just use to our mothers cooking.

Had an amazing experience with Casa Mia this week. We've ordered here before but this time was above and beyond. We placed a take-out order but when we got home we realized part of it was missing (I did check there but missed a part). Where other places would refund the missing part, Casa Mia offered to instead drive the missing part to us! This is above and beyond what was required, but so thoughtful and appreciated. On top of that, even though we drove 20 minutes to get home, the food was still hot and absolutely delicious. A fabulous Greek option, and we will be going again and again!

Saturday May 23, 2020 We were excited to order take out from Casa Mia Restaurant on Dunlop Street in Barrie. It being our first time, we did not order online, rather we pulled into the parkinglot and the delightful young lady took our order. Large Lasagna with Garlic Bread and Cheese + an order of Chicken Parmesan and Spaghetti. She said it would be about 20-25 minutes. I thanked her and we went for a ride. When we came back she quickly brought out our order. I paid in cash, tipped her and we made our way home happily. When we opened our dishes, it looked soooo good!! ???? Only to be terribly disappointed in the taste and quality for the price we paid. There was no cheese on the Garlic Bread. The chicken was processed. And the lasagna sauce and speghetti sauce was the same flavour. Really Casa Mai!! We were let down and will not return. So disappointed.....We do NOT recommend this restaurant!!

I've ordered from this restaurant 3 times. 1st time... food was great. Loved it. Life time customer. 2nd time... food was great... double charged my credit card... took a month to get it straightened out. 3rd time... called with 20minutes left before they closed to order a chicken parm... they denied me service saying they were closing early and shut everything off already. In three orders I went from LOVING their food and being a life time customer... to never ordering there again. Sad.

Casa mia used to be a nice restaurant. Whole meal was bland with tiny portions. It was unappetizing to look at and eat. It was less like a fancy establishment, more like mom and dads tired cooking. We went there because the last few times we went to boston pizza. Go to boston pizza or made in mexico. Down. Hill.

We have always had good meals here in the past. But not tonight. I write this as I sit on the toilet ... I am ready for my colonoscopy, if you know what I mean. Our salads were great as always. I ordered the mushroom marsala with chicken ... an obvious mistake. And my husband ordered the prime rib. It was tough and not even hot. He sent it back and just ate his veggies. They charged half price for the meal. $19 for a plate of vegetables. They could have comped our tea, or dessert, but did not. We are not impressed. Who is in the kitchen now anyway???

Had a party of 18 here. Wait time for our dinner was 2 hours. Ordered the Oscar Chicken. The Chicken breast was halved, other then the baked cheese ontop of the shrimp, crab and scallops not a ounce of bearnaise sauce could be seen ( which was the only reason I ordered the dish, so my chicken would have a sauce and not be bland and dry.) Was extremely disappointed for the price. Only thing that made up for the experience was the waitress, who was wonderful and attentive to our party.

I have been hear many times. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is always fresh and filled with taste. All of this great food and service come at a reasonable price. The food here caters to the lowest common denominator and therefore, lacked a bit of character. The problem is that it's the character you pay for when the food is expensive. I would stick with their Greek offerings and most likely get something close to what I expected. Not everything I had was worth the cost and I found some of the dishes very overpriced for their quality.

I went to Casa Mia for a work party. We had reserved the entire restaurant. I will be the first to admit that I didnt have high expectations of the food because there were so many of us. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. Veal parmesan was delicious! Food came out hot and ready. The warm bread was a delight. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The ambiance is great for date nights. Overall it was a great experience and I would be happy to return.

Restaurant was almost empty and yet the service was quite slow. Waitress did not mention the specials..so I cant comment on the pickeral dinner that I would have ordered. Caesar salad was ok...but nothing special. Greek Salad was better. Veal Parm was just drowned in red sauce and cheese...but large portion. Kids meals were very generous. Salmon dinner was ok but veggies overdone and soggy ...everything on the plate was warm but not hot ..as if that plate waited for the other meals to get preprared. Overall..would not return. Far too many options in Barrie that provide better service ..better food and for a more affordable price.

Attended this restaurant for the first time last night. Was so impressed at the speed of service. All of the food came out in a timely manner and orderly. Nobody was left waiting. Meal portions are great. I had the French Onion soup and Bruschetta bread. Everything was so fresh and the soup was very cheesy which I love. Would definitely consider going back.

The garlic bread was dry and stale. We ordered delivery and only part of our order was delivered. Called and requested the rest and it took almost an hour for it to arrive. We were at a hotel with only a microwave in the room so there was no way to heat up the good that was cold from sitting over an hour and a half waiting for utensils. The food wasn't bad but can't really say because it was cold. We spent a lot of money on the meal and were not even told sorry for the mix up. Won't be ordering or eating here again

Well prepared food for either takeout or delivery (I have not dined in yet), with very friendly service! Their portions are huge and always ensure adequate plates and cutlery, something often overlooked by other establishments. I ordered off their Localicious menu (paid about $38 including tip and tax). I was not impressed overall. Maybe I caught them on a bad night? My potatoes were wayyyy too over cooked. The green beans were basically raw. The veal was extremely bland... And because it was take-out... It was breaded but soggy at the bottom. Yuck. The serving size didn't impress me either. Maybe this was a good thing since it was hard to get through what I was given. The spinach dip with pita was OK I guess.. Didn't make me think: yumm! Overall, this was my first time trying this place out and I wish I had of chosen somewhere else to try. I can cook much better than this. Seriously... Very under-seasoned and poorly cooked food. I won't be trying this place out again.

Was looking for something new. We settled on Casa Mia, and we were glad we did. Prime rib was on special and it was one of the best I have ever had. We were hesitant to go because we feared it was a dressier place. Which it can be but we felt comfortable in our casual attire. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food and atmosphere was great. We will return and add this one to our regular list of restaurants. Good for kids too!

I decided too many of my friends to this restaurant for my birthday dinner and we all were so excited as none of us have eaten here before and heard some good things, I’m not sure if it’s because of covid they have changed cooks or what but all of our meals were awful and not what you’d expect from a restaurant with high prices for everything it was basically Keg prices but the food tasted like it could be fast greek/Italian food like osmows or something . I personally had rice, vegetables and chicken and the rice tasted like that 2$ microwave rice u can buy at the dollar store and the chicken was very dry and veg wasn’t even cooked fully, all my friends had similar experiences there meat was over cooked ect, the food has bland flavour aswell. 10/10 do NOT recommend to anyone with taste buds

After having a bad experience 10 years ago ( I swore I'd never return) a close friend had a birthday dinner there last night and I decided to give this place another chance. Really wish I didn't! The service was slow and orders were forgotten and when asked about missing food we were made to feel as of we were a nuisance. We had three unwanted guests of the roach variety crawling around our table.....yup .....roaches! After seeing that many of us stopped eating our food and when asked if we wanted to have it packed up to take home we all passed. We managed to kill one of the unwanted guest and put it in in a napkin and presented it to our server who in turn gave it her manager. The manager said she never saw it and basically refused to acknowledge it. After calling the owner she tried presenting us with a 25 dollar gift card for us to use toward our next visit! Lol. That'll NEVER HAPPEN. I Wish I could find something nice to say about this place but sadly I cannot. Oh and they could really use some new chairs.....the ones they have are just a few sits away from a law suit.

I was not impressed with this restaurant. I went with my girlfriend this Valentine's day, and immediately our server was not friendly and seemed very pushy. The appetizer was alright (tzatziki with hummus) but it was nothing special compared to other Greek restaurants we have been to, in fact the flavour was on the bland side for the whole meal. When ordering our main dishes, we asked to add mushrooms to one pasta dish. The dish came with mushrooms and we were charged $5.00 for a "side of mushrooms".... It would have been nice to know we would be charged 5 dollars for 2 choped mushrooms in the pasta dish. Overall the service was terrible and the food mediocre. We will not be coming back.

The thought of Greek and Italian in one restaurant sounded appealing, Went in for dinner with the family and one child, was seated promptly the atmosphere is very nice cosy almost however shame about the food the service though. The waitress we had was quite rude, when asked if the dish came with Coleslaw was told firmly NO, then asked if we could purchase coleslaw and was told NO almost like shouted it at us, food finally arrived after 45 mins at no point did the waitress or manager come over and apologize or attempt to rectify the situation kept saying will be there in 5 mins etc The waitress only started to smile and make conversations as soon as the bill and debit machine came out. Cant understand why there are so many high ratings. Overpriced swill

Absolutely amazing food. The Greek Salad is hands down the best I have ever had. The Pork Souvlaki was full of flavour, and the same with the potatoes. Service were perfectly timed. We didn't have to wait for our food, nor did we feel rushed. Very attentive staff. The winner has to be the Grilled Calamari. You must try it.

Service was unremarkable. No smiles, but polite. Food was absolutely horrible. Drenched in cheap oils, overcooked, one bite was all I could stomach. I happen to be a chef and I am acutely aware of how the food should have tasted as opposed to how it was. If a chef prepared those dishes ( which I very much doubt) then he or she should be ashamed. I would never go again...it was disgraceful.

Had a delicious steak dinner tonight. I won a meal for two from Koolfmbarrie to Casa Mia Restaurant. There appeared to be some confusion on the whole thing but after talking to the lovely hostess there I received a phone call from Nick the owner. He was more than happy to assist me and we chatted for a little while and everything was straightened out. He proceeded to throw in free dessert for the confusion and told me to call or email him anytime I needed something. Just a first class guy. We got our dinner and went and ate it by the water. The steak was cooked absolutely perfect and tasted amazing. The whole dinner was delicious and I highly recommend you try it if you get a chance.
