Great location. Price is a little high given the food quantity is less than other restaurants we visited in Banff. For example, we can spend less to get a comparable quality steak of 10-12 oz while can only get 6-7 oz here. The food itself is delicious. Service is OK.

Nice location, atmosphere is still very Banff like with the log framing. Went for breakfast, and I enjoyed my coffee and burrito. But the hash browns were not my favorite, quite large and not crispy at all. More like Greek Potatoes than hash browns. Don't hesitate to go here for dinner or lunch though!

I was really disappointed by my experience here. The staff is friendly but it's just a white Italian restaurant that puts taco seasoning on things. The chicken was super salty and tasted like those pre-seasoned chicken breasts you get at Costco with some taco seasoning added on. We were there for an hour and a half for lunch. Not impressed.

BEST SALSA EVER!!! Dropped in for breakfast, turned into an amazing food journey. We were seated immediately and the service throughout our stay was impeccable. Mountain Lady plate with poached eggs was the perfect amount. Sampled my son's salsa side from his chorizo burrito plate and he never got it back....sorry K...its wasTHAT good. Coffee was never cold in my cup either. If you're in Banff and your tummy is rumbling this is the place to be!!

Best restaurant in Banff, by far! We we’re going to another restaurant but line up was crazy so ended up eating at Coyotes. And boy, we are glad we did! Everything on the menu looks so delicious! We came 2 days in a row & every single meal that we ordered did not disappoint. They were so good! Nice staff, amazing service! Highly recommended!

Near perfect dinning experience. They had trouble verifying my QR code for the covid vaccine but other than that a pleasurable dinning experience. I had the burger and my girlfriend had the salmon... I ended up finishing it. Both were great. Staff were friendly. Atmosphere was nice, cool decore.

We like to go block+ before but they didn’t open today, then we try coyotes as we can see inside more roomy. The food there is very delicious, we ordered steak, pasta and a pizza, all are very tasty level. Just a little salty to a children. But very satisfactory. And the house wine is good. Compared to last time we tried the Italian restaurant under a hotel, this won a street on everything including service. Will come back

Portion sizes were small and expensive even for a tourist town. The pasta I ordered was undercooked and the "wild mushrooms" were just cremini mushrooms. The wait time was also very long, we waited 30+ mins for the food to come. But the waiter was very nice!

Great breakfast. My 4 year old who shared the mountain man breakfast with me gave it a million out of million rating. She ate a pancake with berries, maple syrup and bacon. And I agree, it was excellent. My wife said her avocado toast was good. Her only complaint was the sourdough toast was not authentic. (She has been making her own since the start of the pandemic so is a little picky). Oh, the coffee was excellent.

So glad we decided to stop here for breakfast. This was some of the best breakfast my husband and I have had at a restaurant. We ordered the Mountain Lady Breakfast and the Chorizo Sauce Burrito and both were amazing. Great service as well. We will definitely be making another stop the next time we are in Banff.

I have saved this place on my Banff restaurant list and decided to try it out today. However, the experience made me remove it from my list and probably won't come again. Service was good but definitely slow. I can understand as it is a busy Sunday afternoon. However, food is just so so. I was recommended to try this pasta and it is watery. I probably would make better pasta than that. I ordered the bean chilli and the cornbread accompanied it was puny...May be due to short staffing after covid, the pizza I ordered was burnt and I did not get to try it.

Nice open concept kitchen with friendly staff. I ordered the southwestern Turkey BLT with sweet potato and corn chowder. The chowder was hearty and very flavorful. The BLT was my favorite. It was probably one of the best Turkey BLTs I've had so far. The bacon was crispy, and all the toppings went well together. The bit of smashed avocado was a good touch and made the meal more filling which was perfect after all the hiking.

This place is a true gem in Banff and great for families as well! The only downside is the speed of service. It's a bit on the slow side for everything. Otherwise, if you're not in a rush, a must try! My personal favorite is the Spicy chicken Ceasars!

Excellent food and service. Their portions are quite large and I didn't plan to finish my pancake meal but it tasted so good that I did! You have to try the potatoes. They're seasoned and have just a tad of heat to them. Loved the berries that come with the pancakes too!

We had pasta for dinner. Penne with smoked chicken in tomato sauce was ok, but tagliatelle with wild mushrooms and pancetta was REALLY GOOD! Servers were nice. However, I'm giving this restaurant four stars as interior is very basic and you won't get fine dinning experience there too. For two entrees and a small bowl of soup (no drinks) we paid ~$70 with tips.

Delicious Mexican and Italian food. The reservation system is really efficient via Google chat only. It took 40 minutes that we had our food. The only problem was that they brought the appetizer and main dish together. Service is good.

Amazing burritos! We went for breakfast at about 10am on Saturday and got in relatively quickly but saw that everyone was waiting for 10-30 minutes after us. Phenomenal breakfast, we will definitely be back for the chorizo sausage burrito with fresh salsa.... I can’t stop thinking about it!! My husband got the Mountain man breakfast which was good, but not quite as great as mine! See photo below. Highly recommend. Earlier is better to avoid the wait.

We had made reservations for 7:15PM and when we got there the hostess was very nice! However we were seated in a corner tucked away behind the entrance door. (Not her fault) This is where things started to spiral...we waited 15 whole minutes to even get service at our table with some water or what we’d like to order. I understand it may be busy but the waiter was busy chit chatting away with other guests and completely overlooked us the entire time until he finally decided to bring us some water and menus. By the time he had brought the menu we already made up our mind of what we wanted to eat since we just looked it up online as we for sure thought if it took this long to get service imagine how long the food will take...... Well we ordered the food (burger and pasta) 5 mins go by and the waiter comes by with some small dishes for our food and my partners dish has dry food stains on it...after being ignored by him we finally get his attention and show him the plate and he changed it promptly. When he brings the plate back he brings us some cold cornbread to snack on whilst we wait for our food. (Cornbread there is not good whatsoever, there was a chunky piece of flour in mine). We finished the other bread that came with it and waited for our food to come. It took about 30 minutes for our food to come to our table yet somehow other people after got their food before us. The waiter paid no attention to us whatsoever to check in or even say how long the food would take or why there was a hold up. The food finally came after waiting 30 mins and that is the only this restaurant is getting two stars instead of one. The food was good, the burger was good along with the pasta, which we were surprised with given the service. I would not recommend eating here as the service is not great whatsoever.

Restaurant was busy when we arrived and there was only seats at the bar area for which ended up being an experience in itself. Got to watch the chefs up close while they did their thing. Made my decision just by asking them “what was that you just made?”. We ordered: blue corn chicken enchilada, spicy black bean burrito w/ chicken, and the apple bbq braised beef tacos.

4.5 The place resembles a small family restaurant with little space and crowded tables, but this still didn't stop us to go for dinner. It smelled nicely and the waiters were extremely attentive. We ordered homemade pasta, one with porcini mushrooms and pancetta and the other pasta was with a custom made cream sauce and shrimp. The food was very good, fresh, with intense aroma and taste that made the taste buds flourish with satisfaction, the same effect as in Italy. Good job guys will highly recommend for people that want something different than steaks, fries and other typical food found all over Banff.

Great food for Breakfast or Lunch. The seat availability may vary, but if you can get a table expect great and attentive service and tasty food. The kitchen is in view of the diners and everything has a familiar taste to it. It would be great for kids as well, and not to hard on the wallet either.

Stopped by for a late breakfast with my family. When we arrived it was busy and they couldn't give us a table for 4 right away. The waitress said that if we came back in 15 minutes she'd find us a table and make sure we got to pick from the breakfast menu even though it would after 11 when they switch to their lunch menu. So, fab service. The food was also amazing with good portion sizes and continual coffee topups. Their French toast, stuffed or normal is amazing as are the pancakes. Defo recommend a visit here.

She then brought out two completely different dishes from what we had ordered. Absolutely terrible service. The two soft drinks we had should have been free, instead she charged us $8. We ended up walking out and going to another restaurant in town.

Truthfully, I'd give it 0/5 if I could. I've lived in Banff nearly 9 years, and in the past 3 months Coyotes is 0/3. It used to be my favourite breakfast place. Today, I had literally one of the worst dining experiences in a restaurant I've ever had. My server was attrocious. For the love of God Coyotes, please educate your staff & have steps of service in place to streamline all customer interactions. If I was the floor manager there this morning for your breakfast service, I'd fire the server who served me immediately. If someone's eggs are overcooked on their Benny, please do not bring them 2 new poached eggs with no hollandaise sauce on them in 2cm of water in an egg dish. Remake the whole dish. Today I felt genuinely embarassed for your establishment.

We've been coming here a couple times a year for many years, and I've always loved it until today. The customer service we received today started out great and ended on a bad note. First of all it took a long time to get the first meals, and people that sat down after us had eaten and were paying by the time we got our meals. Secondly, the server accidentally forgot to put in 1 out of 4 orders, which is understandable and not that upsetting itself. The upsetting part is when we got the bill. We had asked if we could receive a discount since I had to eat much later after my friends had already finished theirs, to which they said "yes of course!" - perfect. The bill came and I got $1.80 (10% off of my meal) off our $50 bill. I politely inquired about this and that's when the server and manager's rude comments started. The server said "oh that's not enough?", manager walks over, and I explained my feelings and the server said "So it's my service you're unhappy with?". We said you've been very kind and pleasant. We're still continuing to be polite and say we felt 1.80 didn't seem fair, to which they (server and manager) persistently argued about. They were being very short with us and said "so you want a free meal?!" and we said no no just a bit more of a discount, and they both stormed off, mid conversation! I'm not exaggerating, we were very polite the entire time. I think emotions were high because of how busy it was, but still. Handled very poorly, and disappointing start to the day. I sadly don't think we'll return.

The food was amazing! My family had the entire restaurant to ourselves on a Tuesday night. Felt very covid safe obviously. They have a great chicken pasta dinner for the kiddos :)

Warm and cosy atmosphere. I preferred the lunch food to the dinner here. The lunch sandwiches are gigantic and come with your choice of sides. For dinner, the pasta was not cooked properly, some parts were hard and it was very bland overall. The pizza dough was uncooked at parts.

The food was very good. However, they had run out of a few things, and also had a missing component in my dessert. Staff were overwhelmed and the waiter was rushed and was even running at some instances, which made the ambiance stressful.

Coyotes is a warm and cozy place to stop by for a simple and quick lunch whenever you're in banff national park. It feels like you're eating in someone's dining room! The food is well portioned and well priced, and the catfish burritos were delicious! It is quite small so you may find yourself waiting in line if it's busy

My partner and I were looking for a little breakfast place and decided to check Coyotes out. It was fairly busy, so we sat at the bar. They have freshly pressed juice, I tried my first freshly pressed apple juice and let me tell you, going back to box apple juice will be difficult, it was so good! I had the smoked salmon benny and the portions were great, it was incredibly delicious. Would recommend for breakfast. YUM!

I have eaten here during multie visits over the years and am never disappointed. Breakfast is amazing especially the huevos rancheros. The soups make you want to keep coming back. Chai latte was absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly, service is quick. Quaint atmosphere. The menu has a variety that could keep you satisfied for multiple meals. The owner is a sweetheart and the chef is fabulous. Will definitely return for future visits.

I cant even put into words how much we enjoyed this place. The food was some of the best I have ever tasted, and both my boyfriend and I have traveled all over the world. The kitchen team puts on a nice show with the kitchen being right next to the seating and the wait staff were phenomenal. I would come back here every day if I could just to try everything on the menu. The way the staff have adapted and hold it together with the stress of restrictions is a breath of fresh air.

A hidden gem of a restaurant. The decor was a little dated but their tacos were anything but. We stumbled upon this place while looking for a reasonably priced restaurant to try. We both ordered tacos which were very tasty and they didn't stint on the ingredients. The service was prompt and friendly. We liked it so much that we went back a second time.

Tasty and fresh food. Can get rather busy here - reservations recommended. Food is made fresh to order (including fresh pressed juice). Although some food items seem simple, it is still tasty. Pricing is on a little higher end but for the area you're in...its expected.

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining there last evening. The waiter was knowledgeable and amazing. The food …… oh my goodness , we have lived on both coasts of Canada and have never had salmon this good. Cooked to perfection , the blue corn chicken dish was amazing and the shrimp starter was out of this world. We are not big foodies but this restaurant was incredible. We will make the drive back from Calgary just to dine there again
