Food was amazing!! We stopped for lunch yesterday and had the jerk chicken wrap and salad. All very fresh and fast. It was so tasty we went back today for lunch. I had the falafel wrap and my mom had the burger. Also just as amazing and tastey. I highly recommend this place. I saw the nachos come out for another table. They also looked pretty darn good. The only thing I would note is there was noticeably difference service when the owners were there. The staff was not very attentive on Sunday and I didn't see the owners.

The fries are incredibly tasty! Group of five ranging from 13-75 years had burger, wraps, and wild arugula salad. Everyone enjoyed. Nice view of the town of Bancroft. Good music playing on patio. Definitely would come back.

My go to restaurant when I'm at the cottage. The server was very nice and understanding. Service was a bit slow but the food is always good. The glasses of water however, were dirty, had seeds at the bottom from the previous drink and even lipstick on my friends glass :( I think they need a new dishwasher!! Other than that the balcony and view is nice.

A great choice in Bancroft. After many years of cottaging in the area, we decided to try out The Granite. An extensive menu that didn't overwhelm with choice, and the options provided were all desirable or interesting: a good mix of finer dining options along with simpler sandwiches and salads. We lucked out with one of the best tables in the house, right in a picturesque bay window. Service was prompt and courteous. Our appetizers and meals we hot, very fresh and well presented - and most importantly, tasty: Onion petals, chicken stir fry and beef tenderloin. Pricing would be considered aspirational. Live music on the night we were there was an added bonus! Recommended.

Big city feel in a tiny town. Good food at very reasonable prices. They have a diverse menu, great sandwiches and lunch specials, a full bar, and fast and friendly staff. The only thing keeping that 5th star is they close too early.

Great patio. Service was great also. Their Crazy Hot wings are actually crazy hot. They make the sauce in-house and will knock your socks off while having a sweet tang. Wife had a chicken wrap which was also delicious. Definitely going back when I'm in the area.

Atmosphere sucks for the price.. no view.. ugly restaurant.. our waitress was friendly but noticed a very rude waiter at another table... the brie appetizer and fish tacos were amazing.. the tacos are really a meal. I was disappointed to see I read and old menu online so the onion soup and lamb shank I went for weren't on the menu. There weren't many other choices and no chefs specials so went for the chicken Supreme. Good portion and juicy just not what I was craving. My boyfriend had the smoked porkchop which oddly tasted like a smoked ham steak with a bone? Found the texture odd for a chop and was glad I didn't order it. Had a few cocktails and it was$185.. won't be back.. there's better places with nicer ambience for that price.

Food was OK. Service was TERRIBLE. We couldn't get a drink for 15 minutes - not even water. We could not find our waitress. We had to get up from our table whenever we needed something (also to get more napkins). My daughter spilled milk and we had to go in twice to ask for more napkins and help cleaning. Then we ended up going up ourself after waiting almost ten minutes to get a rag and a spray bottle they had sitting at a front table. Would not go here again.

I had the Best Burger and my wife the Ginger Chicken. Both were excellent and I would definitely order them again. Portion size was too big for us, but I'm sure the younger guys would love the awesome Best Burger. Service was excellent even though it was pretty busy. Would definitely visit again!

I have been to granite a few times now, some times with friends for beer and wings, some times with family and kids. Some times just with my wife. Every time we have enjoyed a great meal, and lots of good beverages to choose from. The staff has always been very kind and helpful. Today we stopped in during longer snowmobile ride with my wife and kids and again the food was great and we didn't have to wait long at all even though they had lots of guests inside enjoying themselves. It was comfortable even with all our gear. I feel the price and portions are very good for what you get. We will definatly go back. Cheers.

Nice atmosphere. The interac machine was down when I was traveling through. I had a noodle with CHINESE chicken ball dish that was tasty. Bar needs a foot and arm rest to be more comfortable and better drinking chairs. Place had many people in it which must indicate other people enjoyed themselves there once before too.

Pasta and steak were tasty. Staff was very nice. Just small problem. Shrimp pasta had exactly 5 shrimp and few mushrooms. For 25$ pasta, I believe it should be more than this.

This is a great place to stop and eat in Bancroft. Well worth it! It is on the main road (east west) through town, and the menu is comprehensive and the food very tasty! I took my Mom and Aunt there for a special occasion and they also loved it! We even met some people there that we know! Do youself a favour and give it a try!

We stayed at the Somerset Inn, asked the manager where is the best place to eat, he replied by saying the restaurant just before the split in Bancroft. The Granite! Our waitress was friendly, a great server, the food, the very best we tasted in days, the portions were spot on, my wife complimented the chef, that's a rarity. I highly recommend this restaurant, service, food and atmosphere is the very best.

The food was phenomenal and the staff were amazing! My only negative comment would be that I didn’t get to meet the people behind the review responses. Maybe next time ????????

Normally we have been happy with the Granite, but yesterday we showed up with 3 small kids at 7:20pm, waited in line for 25 minutes until we were first in line, and then were told they had been "slammed all day" and would have to turn us away since they were closing at 8pm. If we had been turned away before waiting in line, it would have been understandable, but we were very disappointed with the service.

A good, reliable stop on our way to Haliburton. Service is always good, their wings are great, and if the bugs aren't too bad they've got a great patio. On our last visit the menu had changed and they wings were a bit smaller than I think they normally are, but they were still very tasty.

So glad we decided to chose to visit this place.Loved the ambience loved the food and the super sweet waitress Kelly. We ordered 3 dishes all 3 were a hit.The fish was so well done(I don't know how it was super juicy soft yet nicely done) My pulled pork (yum! Reminded me of Germany that's were I enjoyed my previous one) We ordered the third burger with bacon but we said jus to exclude the beef patty they were kind enough to lower the price. Kelly offered us this house made blue cheese dip(was to die for) Overall it was a great Sunday lunch in a beautiful town.

Delightfully friendly staff and great food. I don't remember the servers name but she did mention that her husband loves the blackened halibut. That lady was extremely helpful and a delight to talk to. To top it all off, the place has great food. We had nachos at the start and then halibut, shrimps, falafel and mussels. Every single item was exceptionally tasty!

Our big group of 5 was turned away at 20:01 "because the kitchen closes at 20:00". Wow. Who closes their kitchen at 20:00 on a Saturday? Who turns down this revenue when it is literally seconds late, in an industry that is supposedly "struggling" because of CoVid? I feel sorry for the owners and the tipped front of the house to have such lazy kitchen staff.

Fast, pleasant service for my first-ever visit to Bancroft Ontario. The Granite has a surprisingly eclectic menu and craft beers on tap. Affordable too! Only complaint was men's washroom. Clean but overly dark. No need for the ambience of small chandelier lighting in a washroom honey--us seniors with bad eyesight want safety first. Maybe just up the light bulb luminosity. I'll be back, regardless!

This location seems to hire a little older employees and not teenager's and that makes for a very enjoyable experience with less stress and anxiety especially while they are busy. I would expect the restaurant itself to be less diner and more worthy of the prices they charge. $5 for 6 little mushrooms. Could scrape gunge off the table with my nail. Walls are marked and gouges were visable. Service was very good though and if the owners are concerned about what I have outlined above they might still be around in another 5 years. Brutal I know but the restaurant business is fickle. Was my 1st visit and 1st impression.

Found this place on google with decent reviews so thought I'd give it a try. Let's start with the bad: the appetizers were not good at all. Edible but not tasty. The mussels were frozen and tasted old, but the sauce was ok. The bread stick for dipping in the sauce was good! The firecracker shrimp was not good at all, the sauce made it bearable but the shrimp was also frozen and flavourless. The star of the night was the prime rib. Very fresh cut and cooked to perfection. The au jus was good and the mashed potatoes were freshly made with real potatoes. The service was amazing, the wait staff was always refilling our waters and checking up on us. The service is what kept this review from being a 3. Please make better appetizers and this would have been a 5 star review. Thanks for a good experience!

I haven’t been in a few years so I probably can’t give the most accurate review, but my family won’t eat here any more. Enjoyed a delightfully relaxing meal at the Granite. I had the Falafel wrap. It was delicious. My husband had a California wrap. He enjoyed it. The parmesan root vegetable fries stole the show. They were scrumptious. Staff were friendly and the place was clean.

We had a wonderful retirement party at The Granite this week! Because of the pandemic we had to keep our group within limits. We were all so happy to see each other... We were loud and happy! If you are ever in Bancroft, you have to check out this place. Amazing food and friendly staff. Portions were so large, I had to ask for a to go container. Will definitely go back before I leave. I'm not a huge pasta fan but ordered their pasta as per my server's recommendation and trust me, that dish did not disappoint. It was delicious. Everything we ordered was fantastic.

Located in Bancroft. If you ever cross by, or looking for a place to eat, this is a place to definitely stop at. A while back in the summer a group of us had come across this place, we were not disappointed. The employees where pleasant, we sat out in the patio. We did have to wait a bit for our food but that's pretty understanding with being a busy time of the season, but it was worth the wait! The food was absolutely delicious and dessert really hit the spot. We had ordered pasta, and Thai, everyone kept complementing on how flavour full and good there meal was. If you have room for dessert, go for it . . . The dessert in the picture was: Lava Cake and Spanish Coffee. It really was a; "Big taste from a tiny place."

Had a fantastic prime rib dinner after riding all day. Even came with a Yorkshire pudding! Nice assortment of veggies although you can’t see them because they are buried under the huge slab of meat. Six of us parked our ATVs and stopped for dinner on the patio. Very ATV friendly; located right at the trail. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

For small town Bancroft we are so lucky to have this gem. Very popular so can get very busy in the summer so don't be in a rush. Great spot.

Unfortunately I am unable to comment on the quality of the food as the service was terrible. We waited over 40 minutes as other customers came and were served only to be presented with a sad little Old Fashioned that was not prepared properly. We cancelled our order before we could be further disappointed.

This restaurant is well worth the visit! The atmosphere was welcoming. The staff was friendly. The food was delicious. Overall outstanding experience. Was far from home on our motorcycles and were welcomed with opened (air conditioned) arms ????. Would travel back there again!

I came to this lovely place today. The staff were wonderful in everyway possible. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, I was thoroughly impressed to say the least. All the drinks were made perfectly. The apps were extremely tasty. The main meal (fish and sweet potatoes chips) I have never had such mouthwatering, crispy breaded fish before like this place! The delicious Pumpkin Crème Brûlée is a must. Portion sizes were great, we had left overs. The atmosphere was delightful, the music choice was perfect for lunch. This restaurant is a MUST STOP, when going through Bancroft.

I wish I could say that it was excellent, I was looking forward to my wedding celebration in this restaurant, I have even driven from Ottawa for the weekend for a little getaway with my husband. We went there one evening as walk-ins as I was told over the phone that they did not take reservations and was seated only to be ignored for 45 minutes. Other people that came after us were served right away and it seemed that we were just not good enough for the service to be provided. What a shame.

Picked up some take out food. Everything was great! Firecracker shrimp was a great app, and the granite burger was very tasty. I was a bit sceptical about takeout, as it's a 30 min drive home, but taking that into consideration, it was the best takeout I've had in many years, from anywhere. Well done Granite!

The food was excellent, the service went above and beyond (they even brought water for our dog), and the atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable. Small town charm with a surprisingly diverse menu. Will definitely be back.

We visited The Granite tonight for dinner with our friends. Food and service was suburb. We ordered Cheese Tortellini with Chicken, Cheese Tortellini with Shrimp, Granite Burger and California Club Wrap. The staff member that greeted us at the door was very professional while obtaining vaccination information and friendly in seating us to our table. Our server was very personable and addressed all of our specific menu questions. We will definitely return again.

UPDATE: how INCREDIBLY IGNORANT of you respond to me calling me names. I came in with my family wanting to spend my hard earned money in your establishment, to be seated in a dingy corner after a 10 minute wait? Nice customer service. Waited 10min for them to clean tables...walked out once she put us at the worst spot in the place.

Stopped randomly on our way through town. Got a patio table right away. Server (Logan) was great, quick drinks and food. Server was also very responsive and checked on us during the meal. Definitely recommend! We both enjoyed our meals too :-)

We will be back. I had the flame thrower burger. It was served on a home made bun and burger. The heat was perfectly balanced with the BBQ sauce i was very impressed. Server was fun and friendly service was fast. THANKS GRANITE staff

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary dinner, it was our first time at the restaurant. Our food was delicious, I recommend the beef tenderloin. Unfortunately the service was not as great! It took them half hour to bring our appetizer after we had been seated. We had to ask the status, of our food before it was brought to us. Shortly after our entrees followed, we had asked for drinks which we never received. I would gladly return for the food, if the wait staff has improved.

Went for dinner with 4 family members. Sat on the patio on a beautiful summer day. Food was great. Portions large. Had to bring some home. They were very accommodating with food allergies. Our server Kaytlin was awesome!!! Would highly recommend!

We love coming here when we are up this way. Foods good and ambience good. Kids love that at the end of the meal they get to treat themselves to something nice from the treasure box.
