Rustica is a world class restaurant. Hands down the best restaurant I been to so far. The ambience in this place is so calming, they play such peaceful music. Able to have a conversation with your table. Our server Isabellea was the bomb! She went over and beyond for us, as this was the day I proposed to my girlfriend. She picked up flowers just like I requested and had them set up on the table. She also got the chef to make us an amazing arrangement with our dessert, cheesecake, which was to die for. Dinner was amazing, I have never had my walleye done the way it was done. Always fry up my walleye. My girlfriend really enjoyed her steak as well. I did try the frog legs as well, so intriquing but I enjoyed them. Rustica, you guys put the cherry on top of my beautiful day. We will definitely be back and thanks for the lifetime memory.

We booked our very small wedding reception on the upper level of the Rustica. We didn’t have much time to plan but the staff there made it effortless. They went above and beyond to make our day so special. I can not express my full gratitude for the service we were provided. The venue is nothing short of breathtaking, the staff are just amazing and the food is phenomenal. I am a vegan and they didn’t hesitate to accommodate my needs. I was amazed by the flavour of the gnocchi! They even had almond milk for my post meal coffee. The prices were also incredibly reasonable. My husband and I frequent the Canmore area and that was our first time dining there but definitely will not be the last. I recommend this restaurant highly to all in the area!

Probably the best overall meal we had in Canmore. This place is located in the Silver Tip resort area above Canmore. It's a little bit outside of the main town. Directions will take you to the golf house as there is also a golf course located here. The building is on the far right as you look towards the mountains from the parking lot - there is no sign on the outside. Once you enter there is a shop selling golf pro shop on the right but just keep walking down and you'll see Rustica to your right. The restaurant is very nicely appointed and has nice big windows to gaze outside. Everything looked very clean and spotless. We both tried ordered the set course menu for $55. It included an appetizer (soup of the day, spinach salad or shrimp cocktail), main entree (flat iron steak, steelhead trout or pasta orecchietta) and dessert (creme brulee, chocolate mousse or raspberry and chocolate sundae). Shrimp cocktail is an interesting version and the shrimp were fairly small...although you do get 6 or 7 of them. 3 stars. Soup of the day was Corn Chowder. This serving was huge. Bigger than most places bowl of soup for a full order. The corn chowder itself was pretty good.3 stars. Flat Iron Steak. This was cooked perfectly and so tender and flavorful. It comes pre sliced served on some crunchy and flavorful steakhouse cut fries, carrots, bell peppers and squash. Everything served on this plate was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! 5 stars Raspberry and chocolate sundae- this was also very good. It comes served in a tall glass with what seemed like a really thick chocolate mousse, actual raspberry blend, vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and a cherry on top. This dessert hit all the right notes and was very refreshing after the heavy steak entree. 4.5 stars. Finally our servers were so great. I unfortunately cannot recall their names but we were there at 1700 when they opened for dinner on Wednesday, September 18. 10 stars for the staff! If management/owners happen to see this review I hope you share it with your team.

At Silvertip golf course, this is a cozy and warm steakhouse with breaktaking views. The food was on par (no pun intended) and delicious. Definitely one of the best places in the Canmore area.

Always amazing. The food is delicious, and service is always amazing. This time we had a 3 course dinner for $50 and if both of us took part we got a bottle of wine for $29. We had the best waitress she helped us choose a wine we both loved and the meal was absolutely perfect! Will be back again and again!

Had the boar and it was flavorful but tough. The restaurant was not very busy but the service was terrible. We watched all the tables who arrived after us get their food before us. Our server was very pleasant when we saw her which was not often. This has always been one of my favorites but not after tonight.

I'm a little sad to say but it has gone downhill since last year... My husband and I went there last year for our anniversary and it was phenomenal! We literally did not leave a single bite on the plated. The food and service was amazing from start to finish. It was so great that we said we would make it an annual dinner but after tonight's experience I don't know if we will ever come back.... it's really sad because it has a gorgeous view.... So what happened? - I ordered fries as starters since I was starving and wanted something quick. When they came they were extremely salty and not fully cooked. It also took forever for the waitress to come by to give us condiments and plates... - I ordered a raspberry lemonade drink and got watered down lemonade with a touch of raspberry.. to be honest it just tasted like water with a little bit of lemon juice. - The lamb meal we got was super salty and the mashed potatoes seem like a big ball of hard mashed potatoes. - The steak we ordered had a lot of fatty pieces and last year we never had this issue - The waitress never came by to refill our drinks - The dessert was very sad since we ordered cheesecake with rasberry coulee and literally there was only 4 tiny drops of the rasberry coulee... The only positive thing about our experience is the view and the renovation but to be honest the food and service was not great for that price. Too bad since we loved it last time we visited...

The perfect place to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The mountain views are breath taking. The dining room is romantic and beautiful. Corn chowder was amazing. Steaks were perfectly cooked. We cut them with butter knives. And the desserts oh the desserts. Wow. Well done Rustica Staff. Well done.

The Lamb Shank was absolutely delicious. The menu had many selections especially the wines. It was worth the trip up the mountain even if there was a foot of snow. Great service, beautiful ambiance, nice evening

We visited Rustica on recommendation of Tripadvisor etc suggesting that it was among the top 10 in Alberta.We found the food far below standard. The salmon was acceptable,the filet was bland and dry,the lambrack was fine but the lambshank not tasty at all.My dish was the $60 ribeye.I requested medium -rare.My steak was 1 cm thick ,tasteless and full of tough sinews. This was most probably the worst steak I have ever had in a restaurant.The only explanation I have is that they did not have a chef on the evening of 17 Sept 2017. I will definitively not recommend this restaurant and will avoid it in future

Don't bother going here. They claim med rare and rare is a slight difference and subjective. Admit you cooked the meat not to what the customer asked for. Simple. And to ask for me to wait for you to fix your mistake after sitting for so long just to have our mains arrive. We waited 30 mins to even pay our bill. Clearly understaffed and we tried to be patient. But with how mgmt replies to customers reviews, they definitely don't take criticism well. You should learn from it and do better not justify that if it comes out more cooked it is what It is bullcrap. So here's my advice spend your money at a better steak house, this one is not worth it.

This place wasn't very up to par with my fine dining experience to start the butter they gave was olive oil. When I told them it wasn't butter the server told me it was butter and she didn't know what to tell me. . The meals that we ordered were mixed up on our side orders;( . I asked the waitress if bison would go good with lobster and she said that would be a great match. I was a little confused because I didn't think it would and it didn't. The staff are under trained and the price is double of what the keg would be and surprise surprise I find the keg meals much better cooked. The prawns we ordered wete over cooked and tasted like rubber

Exquisite. This place was perfect and exceeded my expectations of a high quality restaurant. My wife and I ate here for our 3rd anniversary. Normally I claim that the steaks I cook at home are better than any I can get at a restaurant (except for Ruth's Chris Steakhouse because I don't go to the effort to serve a still cooking steak on a 500°F plate, and they have some good seasoning). The steak I had at Rustica made me rethink my claim, though. The prime steak (ordered medium rare) was cooked perfectly, seasoned deliciously, and served with a nice compliment of sides. This was easily the best meal we had during our holiday in Canada. Aside from the food, the view was magnificent. I live in a place hundreds of miles from any mountains, so it was especially nice for me. We sat on the patio that overlooked part of the golf course with snow-capped mountains all around. Overall, I have nothing but good memories of this restaurant.

Great food, great service. Attended a semi-private function and were well attended. The food was delicious. I had the risotto and soul du jour. My husband had the rib steak and shrimp. Highly recommend both options.

Came for an anniversary. Location was easy and the room was nice and large. Came in the late evening so it was not crowded. Prices were what you would expect. Service was lovely. Food was amazing and the in-house lager was yummy. Would come again!

Grass fed AAA Angus steak. Dry Aged 35 days . Best steak I've had yet. Cuts like butter. Melts in your mouth. Rare is the way to go as you can taste what beef should taste like. Beef.

Had a fantastic dinner last night. Lovely table by the fireplace. Wonderful service, our server was very knowledgeable about the wines. We had the "datenight" which was $55/pp and included a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine per couple. I'm celiac and my choices were probably the best I've seen. I had the bison and wild mushroom goulash and could have eaten a bathtub full it was so delicious. One of the best dishes I've ever eaten. Thank you for a fabulous meal!

My wife and I did the Date night dinner and it was fantastic. The beef is really, some of the best you will ever have. I am sure they do all sorts of dishes well, but the beef was just so good. I loved this place. It is not cheap but for a fancy night out it was totally worth it.

Beautiful fine dining restaurant in Canmore with a gorgeous view of the golf course. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. I had the veal steak special with mushroom soup and prawns. My husband had the halibut with chili lime salsa and my mom had the duck. Great variety on the menu that would appeal to all tastes. I couldn't get over the bill. Dinner, 2 bottles of wine and dessert and the total was so reasonably priced we went over it twice to make sure nothing was missed. Our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. First time at this restaurant and I moved to Canmore in 2020! Definitely coming back, whether a romantic night out, celebration, or just a great dining experience with friends and family.

We recently visited for dinner and it was great. I was a little nervous because I am vegan and the menu didn’t look like it had anything for me. So I decided to contact them just to ask before our reservation. They said it was totally fine and could make me a vegan dish if I let the server know once we arrived. Anyways that’s exactly what I did and dinner was fabulous! They made a salad to start, mushroom risotto & sorbet for dessert. The rest of our group all ordered steak and agreed it was the best they had ever had. Thanks for accommodating me!

How can u beat this place : ambiance food price. Perfect. I have loved Rustica for years and was really upset how the level of food went down over the years, used to be seven courses and so good for this price. But we loved the room and the place with a great fire in winter and the place to ourselves. Lots of parking. The upgrade had us worried and I am still not sure it is as nice But it is still one of the best places to eat with an unparrelled view and lots of room. The food is just ace. Not a lot of choice but what is offered is really really good. The chili prawns and dessert so really good. The price exceptional for ambiance food and service and wine value. I hate to share this but really a best value in the valley. Please do not go as we still really do not want it crowded.

I visited Rustica a few years ago and it was one of the best meals I've had in Canada so went back again last week when I was in Canmore with my family. Whilst I understand they have renovated the menu/ look & feel to make it more casual recently I was really really disappointed and would not recommend it. The food was good (steak cooked perfectly) and the set menu does provide decent value but the service and ambience was just really poor. They brought mine and my Mum's main meals out whilst my Dad was still eating his starter which was just bad service and then when they proceeded to try and serve my Dad his main whilst his starter was still in front of him I was left wondering if the server had received any training at all. They were also playing the radio over the music system and when I asked if this could be changed I was advised it was either the radio or nothing. Which meant we were hearing ads for Subway and people calling into the radio station whilst eating our meal! Really made it feel low budget despite the bill definitely not being low... Overall if you are already at the gold club then I'm sure it's fine but I don't think it's worth a trip out which is such a shame as I still rave about the meal I had here last time!
