Our first visit here, about a year ago, left us somewhat disappointed. We figured we had to give them another chance, and we were glad we did. There was a choice of two five course meals for Valentine's Day... The regular menu and the "mystery" menu. My wife had the regular and I had the mystery and we shared. Both were great, but we agreed the mystery menu was the winner. The biggest standout was the riccota and squash tortellini, topped with a delicious bit of pork, and served in hazelnut oil. Incredible dish!

Do the Road Trip Tasting. Do not hesitate, or even bother looking at the menu to debate in your head what to do, fully commit and go for it. One of the best dining experiences in Edmonton by far! Also add the wine pairing. Service was excellent and I can’t wait to take another trip in the next few months.

A perfect blend of rustic and fine dining! The dishes were hearty and filled with delicious seasonal ingredients. In particular, the sablefish was pure amazing - perfectly cooked buttery fish with a delicious compliment of tomato cream, crispy sunchokes and mussels. We’ve had fish around the world but this sablefish was the most memorable!

Went on a flavourful and textural adventure with "The Road Trip" tasting menu! The sorbet palate cleanser was a welcome surprise! It was a pleasant experience throughout, everything from the simple peeled tomato salad to the ravioli that used three types of peas. I would definitely do this again!

This is one of the best meals of my life. The food was amazing. I had the bison and the meal was wonderful. The meat was perfectly cooked and the appetizers were great. They also make a mean old fashion. Now keep in mind I was here for a work function so I have no idea the cost but it was delicious none the less. I will definitely be coming back. Also as a side note the ambiance and decor was easily the best of any restaurant I have ever been to and our server was very friendly.

We didn't have a reservation, so we popped in. Although they did have empty tables (that remained empty for the hour that we were there) we were seated at the bar. The bartender was friendly and shared lots of stores to keep us company, but have us space to also eat and chat. The food very well presented and very tasty. Although they price is on the high side, the food quality is definitely worth it. The geese and pork dishes were very good, and I would highly recommend them if you have never been. The egg is also to die for, it is wrapped in bacon! Overall, the ambience is cosy and a great place to eat for a special occasion.

Had dinner here last night and it was superb as usual. I've been dining (not just eating, you get an actual "dining" experience) here pretty much since the doors to Blue Pear closed and Rge Rd opened. By far my favorite restaurant in the city. Chef Blair and his crew have been putting out new and delicious food for a while now. The prices are in line with what you should expect to pay at a fine dining restaurant. However, you get your money's worth here and you can't say that at most restaurants in the city. The atmosphere is cozy. Fine dining food quality and service without the stuffiness of something like your typical Michelin starred restaurant. If they handed those out this way, I can't see how this place wouldn't have one. The staff are clearly well trained and knowledgable about the menu. Pictures are not of the Rd Trip, but that's what I would recommend every time. I've never been disappointed. Order any dish with Davina's out of this world gnocchi (Parisian style) and you'll think you were eating at Thomas Keller's restaurant. It's "that" good. Clearly I could go on an on about this place. Just go try it for yourself. Support locals who support local.

Overall was just ok. light portions. We all left Hungry after spending $2550.00 Had a large group and had to kind of argue with one person there to move tables around to accommodate our group of 16. If you are planning a large group here i would at least recommend going down beforehand to discuss how tables would be situated. The Atmosphere was good, easy to talk, not too noisy. Our server was excellent.

I was contemplating 3 stars but honestly the staff were incredible and deserve 100 stars for their outstanding service and friendliness. Appetizers we tried the infamous pirogies that definitely lived up to their reputation. Beef tartar and the salad were incredible as well. That being said for the main course we ordered the shoulder iron steak and the aged strip loin. Interestingly we were not asked how we liked our steak done but we assumed it's just made one way. The shoulder steak was very rare and super hard to chew...the sirloin had a good taste but was also extremely hard to chew. I am surprised that by the level of fine dining this place is supposed to be there were no leaner cuts like rib eye or tenderloin. Dessert was incredible. Overall a great experience and we absolutely will return because of the staff but if you re picky with steak I suggest you try another dish!

Mmmmm. We did the Roadtrip. I've never had a fermented green tomato before, but I surely will again. Every course was just enough, a panoply of flavours and textures in each bite that evolves in your mouth. They couldn't have paced it better - the edge on my hunger was *just* satisfied following some of the tenderest elk I've eaten paired with a perfect sauce, matched with the at-least-as-good polenta (the starch was NOT an afterthought - it was astounding). Thus, dessert rounded it out nicely. I haven't had buckwheat ice cream before, either. Until tonight, it wasn't a pleasure I thought I was missing. It was nice to experience a meal that didn't depend on garlic and onions. There was just so much to enjoy in each bite. We enjoyed not thinking about what to order, and neither of us regretted it in the slightest - quite the opposite. We got more than a meal, we got a moving culinary education. Excellent, professional servers as well.

While we usually opt for one of their beef dishes (the beef & mushroom ragout accompaniment is amazing) this past trip we decided to take the Road Trip, a 6 course mystery experience and we were not disappointed! This review is for the butchery. This place as been a life line to fine drink and dining during the past year. With some of the finest local meats, cheeses, breads, and drinks. You will find delicious options for anyone one in your house. Be sure to look thoroughly at all the counters as selection changes daily. The finish at home options will give you the satisfaction of preparing a meal without the days of work it actually takes to make. Special thanks to Shannon for the whiskey drink package which she customizes for my specific liking. Her hot toddy recipie is a must try.

This is a fancy place where you need to make a reservation days/weeks in advance. The design of the restaurant is neat and the atmosphere was awesome. Service was great and explained the menu thoroughly. I ordered their steak and it was amazing! Steak was very tender and seasoning was perfect. The pork roast dish was good but bacon wrapped pork confit was very salty. S'more in a bowl was amazing and melts in your mouth. Keep in mind that the portions aren't big!!

Amazing restaurant with some of the best service I have had. Went there for my partner's birthday booked a private room for 24. We pre ordered off a set menu and did family style appetizers and everyone got to select their own entree. Meal was seamless , plenty for everyone. Kudos to Rge Rd .

Went here with my boyfriend for a nice supper last minute. We walked in not knowing much about it but we were very impressed. The service is outstanding. The staff knows how to talk to people and make them feel warm and welcome. Our waiter Answered all of our questions and thoroughly explained the menu to us. We went for the Road Trip! Which is a constantly changing menu, I believe ours was 6 dishes. The dishes come to you as a surprise and are based on what's available at the time. The menu says to have an adventurous palette for this, but I didn't feel like anything was too far out there. One of the dishes blew my mind, it was amazing. Most of the other dishes were also very good. The dessert was a bit of a let down, but, I guess when the menu is constantly changing you can't expect a home run every time. The atmosphere and decor of Range Road was very warm and welcome, especially coming in from a frigid winter evening. This all ties together with the incredibly friendly staff. Every part of the service absolutely was a home run. This restaurant is definitely on the pricey end of the spectrum but the food and the experience are all top quality, which is good value in my books.

It was a little under seasoned may be what they are going for with the farm to table. All around it was fantastic and would recommend. Over-priced and under-seasoned. Portions are quite small given the high prices. The house cocktails should be avoided - just get a beer if you want a drink. Some dishes were knock-out hits (the duck was a table favourite), but most were pretty disappointing. Not terrible, but at these prices, I would expect to at least walk away full.

Rge Rd is one of the few fine dining restaurants that I would recommend to anyone in the city. The space itself isn't very big. Therefore, the atmosphere seems cozier and more intimate. The decor, lighting, and staff also welcome this comfortable ambiance. The staff here are very polite, gentle, and kind. They are very patient with customers experiencing Rge Rd for the first time, walking them through the menu and what they have to offer. The food itself is very well made and tasty. Personally, my palate is more sensitive to wild game, such as bison and rabbit. However, the dishes we had ordered masked the gamy flavor quite well. I recommend for everyone to try Rge Rd, and experience fine dining through them.

Great food and good ambiance. But the owner Blair Lebsack is very rude and argumentative. When we question about the long wait time, he started talking down on us and brag that he is the owner and that he run the place, he did not even bother to hear our concern. He raised his voice at an old lady on her birthday dinner and Blair didn't even care. We spent over $600 and that's how our night ended. Thanks Blair for your hostile treatment to your customers!

I can't give one star because the personel was super nice and the abmient was great. We went with the "Road trip" because we have seen all the good reviews and it was a totally disapointment. We got 6 plates in total, nice decorated but there was not even 200 grams of food in 6 plates and the taste was also nothing special, all spices and ingridiens did not go well together I have never in my life payed more money for so small portions and no special tase.

We haven't been to the restaurant for almost two years because of the pandemic. Recently went and had a very satisfying experience. The bison is as yummy as always. The brulee is perfect made. Recommend to book a reservation as early as possible. Haha I feel it's hard to get a table. 2 years ago review__This is an awesome restaurant!! Food is so fresh and tasty! Bison is bomb! So juicy and it’s perfect cooked to me! The chocolate bar is so smooth and perfect match with the ice cream. Beef tartare is yummy. Service is fantastic as well!

Amazing! Our office arranged for 3 course meals to be delivered to each of our coworkers and their partner, with a paired bottle of wine for our office 'christmas party'. Rge Rd did such a great job of communicating with us to ensure everyone got just what they wanted, even including a vegan option and non-alcoholic drinks to accommodate some of our staff. A few staff members of Rge Rd made delivers while I dropped off a few meals too and the smell of the food in my vehicle was enough to make me drool! It was my first time trying Duck and I couldn't have had a better or more delicious experience. Can't wait to dine in the restaurant sometime soon!

Rge Rd is the place you go for the taste of home, but better. Chef de Cuisine Davina Moraiko has world beating voodoo, Kung Fu, and ninja skills. Remember Canada's Kitchen Party in TV...yeah, she had the plate that won. When family or friends come to visit and you want a great meal that's the very best of Alberta...Rge Rd. Take out is an option. Delicious food is mandatory. 'Nuff said. Go. Eat'em.

My sister came here five times and was pleased. Me and my gf decided come here for our anniversary. My sister recommended me to get the "RGE RD Road Trip" which is a six course meal. She said, me and my date could get 12 different items to try. But I did not nor my server offered the option to us... So we just had the six items. The food that was served to us was nothing spectacular where you would be impressed to say, "Mmmm!" or even "This is good." The only good thing I like was the dessert, that was it. The food was salty. I drank a lot of water that evening. The bill came to $200ish. I think I would recommend selecting individual items over the "Road Trip," we did not had a good road trip... Maybe I came here on a bad day.. Was not impressed at all, it's over priced and OVERRATED! Took us about 2.75 hours to finish our dinner. Apparently the kitchen was busy. I would rather go spend my money at Uccellino, Pampas, Vivo, etc. Overall bad experience. Probably won't come here again. -PS if you bring your young ones. Do not let them scratch the table or the server will be very angry haha...

Went to Rge Rd for a celebration with my family, we all had the Road Trip, all the courses were perfectly done and very well paired with wine. Everyone at the table was very happy with the food and the service. I can not say enough about this restaurant, we have been there many times and have never been disappointed. One of the best places I've been to in Edmonton. You want to see what the chef's at Rge Rd can do? Order the 'road trip' to get a six course spectacular display of open cuisine. A difficult review. Our group opted for the road trip and experienced some truly exquisite dishes which were prepared to absolute perfection. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and made us feel very welcome. Maybe it seems silly to mention value, but it was something I couldn't help but notice. The first 3 courses amounted to about a single spoonful each, and I felt that the entree was underwhelming compared with those listed on the standard menu. When I left 3 hours later, I genuinely felt like I hadn't eaten much of anything at all. If this type of restaurant is in your usual rotation, then this review likely isn't for you. If, like me, you experience this kind of place maybe once a year, I regret to say that I felt it wasn't worth it. Somehow, despite the excellence of everything, I left feeling let down and that I didn't really belong at all.

There is a reason why Rge Rd consistently ranks among the best restaurants in Edmonton. It's small so the servers have a chance to talk to each guest and fully explain the menu. The menu isn't large as well but it's quality over quantity. The menu is based upon what is available but is diverse enough to temp you. The food isn't cheap, this isn't a place most people would eat at regularly but it's a perfect special occasion restaurant. Definitely worth checking out.

Fantastic place in Edmonton. One of my all time favorite restaurants across Canada. Cozy farm to table restaurant Farm to table with all ingredients within 100 km radius, well executed. Lots of variety in terms of flavors and cooking techniques but yet stays simple to really highlight the flavors. Tried the bison, perogies and apple espuma - thoroughly impressed. As an example, the dessert had little bits of apple in them to bring a contrast to the espuma. Highly recommended.

Great ambiance, great restaurant for a date night, which was the purpose of my visit. Ordered for starters roasted beet and pear salad and Pilatus bison. Forget the drinks or what my date ordered but I definitely enjoyed their signature cocktails. Loved the food. The best Bison I've ever had. Highly recommended but make sure you have a reservation.

Been wanting to try this place out for a while, and was able to get a last minute reservation. Went for the rge rd trip and it was great. Each course was presented nicely and had good flavour. It is a tasting menu course so each plate had small portions. If you can eat a lot, this may not fill you up. My favourite dish of the night would be the beets in the Mornay sauce with he crispy kale, and the deep fried oysters course. The beets were perfectly cooked, the sauce went very well with it, and the kale gave it some nice texture and a little depth of flavour. I felt like the dessert could've been better. It was good creme brulee, but for a tasting course, there's more room for creativity and flare. Overall, everything was good and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will be back to try other items on the a la carte menu. The service was amazing. Servers were very knowledgable and attentive. Your water glass will never go empty.

Wow. The flavours were great. I had a mixed plate of beef, chicken and the sausage. The rice was spicy and was a generous portion. The garlic sauce was tasty and very garlicky. Would definitely go back. They used spiced chicken breast, pickled turnips, lettuce, pickles and garlic sauce. The pita wrap was warmed when served.
