I was really torn as to whether I should post a review. The wings are awesome and come in a large variety of flavors and the chicken burger is to die for. The prices are amazing for Banff and the staff is very friendly. But with that being said, the secluded location limits the client base to the locals. There's never a crowd, it's less than 2 min to the Trans Canada and the views are great. Sitting outside and gazing at Cascade mountain while ripping into a pound of juicy wings should be among the #1 activities in Banff. (Pictured is the Calgary Flames sauce. The chicken is probably the closest to KFC you’ll get in Banff, the delivery man is very nice and is always open fir a conversation while paying for your food. Other than that they just need to make their work space more nicer and need renovations, also do not get potato wedges they taste like they were bought in IGA and are soggy. ????

Ordered 2 pounds of wings from them for delivery and they got one order wrong. Gave them a call and they happily fixed the problem from no extra charge and let em keep the wrong wings. Fantastic customer service! I love the wings and the Caesar salad is also fantastic will order from them again and again.

This is the best wing place I've been to, bar none! It's worth clicking through the clunky website, but I've heard the staff are great at guiding you through the flavours on site as well. Highly recommend the Exshaw spicy peanut (not too spicy, even for a wimp like me!). I usually shy away from stickier wing sauces because I don't like a soggy breading, but these stayed crisp and hot. We also loved the dry rubs - Cajun garlic was delicious and zesty. Worth the drive out to the industrial area. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Wow this place is a real hidden gem. They do their own breading, so if you're like me, on a dietary restriction and can't eat bread, they will make sure you will get your wings the way you like it. It's away from Banff's downtown so it's easy to find a parking spot. Take the time to eat outside and enjoy the nice view.

Can I say PRISE BE TO KETO JESUS. We were craving something cooked and were nervous we'd be relgated to bland chicken or unlimited cesar salad. Then we found the Alberta Wing Shack! Eating out while on Keto is hard. Carbs are everywhere. This place makes their own breading, so we could order our wings with ZERO breading, and spicy sauces are pretty much a guarantee on the keto diet. I got the Jasper flavour (made in house, fresh daily of course) and it was a spicy cayenne-lime sauce. Seriously, probably best wings I've ever had. My husband got the spicy peanut sauce and that too was delicious. Amazing experience and great food all around. Its a must-eat-here type of place!

Oh. My. Gosh. I've had a lot of wings, and this place took the prize. The sauces were full of flavor and the wings stayed perfectly crispy with such juicy meat. I just couldn't stop eating them. We downed 2 lbs of banff and honey garlic in like 5 minutes. Very different but both delicious. I honestly want to go back for dinner already. Its out the way in a very industrial area, and only has maybe 5 tables and a shared giant bottle of ketchup if you get the fries, but that was part of the charm. The gentleman taking our order was so nice and talkative, hr went ot of his way to make sure we loved it!

Try: - Chicken Wings: Honey Buffalo OR Smokey Blue, - Chicken Burger: Huge and delicious. My only regret in regards to this place is it taking me 2 years to discover it! As a local I barely ever order out, personally I find the food in Banff overpriced and mundane considering the price tag (in exception of Arashi Ramen). This place is great as its price point is just right: it doesn't feel like too much of an extravagance to eat there, while the food is tasty enough that it seems worth driving out out of town to the industrial estate to pick-up (where it is located). They also deliver but I haven't used that service before. Don't expect anything too flash, they do exactly what they advertise: fried chicken and burgers. But, oh man, are they good! It's a cafe/diner style eating area (don't expect table service). They have catered for my Vegetarian partner in the past too. She said it was mediocre, but I suppose that's what you'd expect from a chicken shop. The two Asian girls that have been there when I've gone in have always been cheery, professional and quick to serve up the food. 5 stars!

Good wings. Can be slow sometimes. There is a few times when food was not ready to pick up despite calling ahead and arriving at designated time. There was once it was 15minutes late (they just started my order) I have a tight work schedule and when I arrive at designated time, it will be nice that food is ready. Last few times I was there store was closed although the google hours stays it is open. Some updating needed on store times

I don't know how this one is so far down the list of places to eat in Banff. Come with an empty belly because they don't serve small chicken wings. It's hard to choose between the 69 different flavours but the honey buffalo is fantastic. Prices are good for chicken and because it's not in the middle of all the tourists the wait is next to none. The owner is very friendly. I will recommend this place to everyone I know coming this way, and the next trip I make to Banff I will be making a stop here.

We decided to stop here after a nice Hike in Banff . I got a Pound of Honey Hot Wings Along with a Caesar Salad and order of Curly Fry’s , my wife had gotten the chicken wrap combo with wedges . Let’s start with the wings , THE WINGS are to die for here . Massive sized wings with a generous size “ pound “ compared to lots of places . The texture to these wings are out of this world , the crispy outside and soft centre cannot be explained . Now the curly fry’s ... crisp to perfection with a generous serving ! As for the salad was just a normal Caesar salad lol . My wife enjoyed her wrap the most , claimed the wedges are better then the curly fry’s but that’s a bold statement ... All jokes aside this huge feast costed us right around $35 , I tipped $10 and don’t regret it at all ! We will be making a trip from Calgary very soon for just the wings . 69 flavours to choose from makes it hard to just have one pound .

Fantastic chicken wings. They have a ton of different sauces to try, all of which are excellent. I really enjoyed the 'lake louise' sauce (the shack's garlic sauce). The shack is a bit off the beaten path and is in a less popular Banff neighbourhood, but it is worth the detour!

We stopped in for a quick afternoon snack and picked up a pound of wings (about 9 pieces). We got the “Hawaiian Honey”. Soooo good. These wings are huge, and very meaty. So I’ve eaten at Alberta wing shack quite a bit. The food is well priced, and always hot when I pick it up but unfortunately I will not be giving this company my business anymore. Today while I was in full uniform, I asked very politely if I could use their washroom. I was told harshly “the washroom is for customers of this establishment ONLY.” Now this is just me, and if you want to support a business that cares more about money than about basic human needs, please do. But as someone that has spent over $200 dollars at Alberta Wing Shack in the past to be denied a human need, I will not be supporting this business anymore. Money is not worth more than people’s health.

This was a great choice for delivery. Prices were reasonable, delivery was right on time. The wings were great. Cooked nicely, and the sauce didn't make the breading soggy in the take out containers. Don't know how they do that, but it was great, and the people I dealt with on the phone and at the door were very polite, courteous and happy. All that and good food made us happy too.

Bought the crispy chicken burger yesterday at the Canmore location, I am very dissapointed. I have been a customet when the shack opened in Banff and tried 1st hand the chixken burger and it was good...a few months after, ive noticed some improvements...and trust me it was great!!! The best ever!!!! And have ordered it often amd recommended it. ..juicy, tasty and the size of the chicken was BiG!!! Now, honestly its just ok. Chicken has shrunked...and taste is diff. Theres no more that syrup they put that made it famous. AND.......the fries taste like burnt oil and old. Im here to support...and I understand costs maybe going up...but i dnt mind paying another dollar to have that chicken back to its massive size. The oil used for the fries is unacceptable. I asked some of my buddies who live in the still in the valley, they share the same sentiments. It has changed. Dnt be just the the usual commercial joint. Let people complain that its taking so long to get their food....if its good, people will wait!!.i hope you retain that small town magic.

Ordered 2 pound combo! Wow biggest and juiciest wings I’ve ever ate! We got the garlic parm and spicy peanut sauce, I liked both but the peanut one better. We also got curly fries and a toss salad for sides plus 2 bottles of water. All for $26!! We paid inside and the lady brought the food out for us while we wait in the car outside due to pandemic. We split this between 3 people and we were stuffed at the end. Highly recommend.

AWS F’in slaps. Banff local ordering here for the first time. Dorito chicken burger is insane and HUGE. We got the Calgary and the hot dill wings. Great combo between the spicy of the hot dill and the sweetness of the Calgary. Cajun Wedges - hell yeah. Highly recommended. If you don’t F with Alberta wing shack, you don’t F at all.

This place is a gem in a city where takeout food is over priced! On vacation in Banff and was craving some chicken wings, found this place and it was such a good decision. Good prices and wings were crispy, flavorful and So big! Some of the best wings we've ever had and we're from Toronto. Owner, Somas was so friendly, and took our order even though it was 10mins before closing time. Highly recommend!

Everything is top notch with quality ingredients and it's inexpensive. Having a place that takes pride in supporting local producers when they can, in this day and age being socially responsiblle seems a thing of the past. Nobody seems to be willing to break a sweat anymore or take pride in anything, it's a very rare thing. This place has more than great food they have my respect for their hard work, and it shows. The Alberta Wing Shack should be an example of what a true respectable business should look and operate like with no shorcuts, pride and integrity.

This place is awesome. Probably the best wings I have tried! They’re are cooked in a way I’ve not tasted before. The wings were really big and the flavour and choice of flavours were awesome! There is great mountain views from the restaurant with a small seating area outside. Also the owner was a nice guy to talk to and made us feel welcome:)
