Purchased a Volkswagen Atlas Comfortline and picked it up on Sept 2nd. Deal went flawless. I knew what I was looking for and it turned out to be the best deal in the GTAA. Low milage and like new, complete with warranty. Though the salesman was a dream to work with the Atlas and price sold itself. This was made even easier when I recieved a decent price for my trade in and didn't have to worry about getting rid of it myself. Instead of using my line of credit, I financed the major chunk at Volkwagen Finance at a considerable lower rare than I was getting from my bank. A car sales guy actually listened to the customer AND provided an exact match without trying any sales tactics apart from being genuine. Once I had my Golf selected, I was then Introduced to Frank, one of the finance managers... incredible service. Detailed explanations of all considerations and went to bat for me to help with the financing. The most difficult part of my entire experience was waiting to pick up my new awesome ride... I blame Amazon for my want of near immediate gratification. Looking for a new or used car? You can not go wrong with these two professional gentlemen or with this dealership.

Very poor customer service right from the start. Brand new car was still dirty upon pick up. Salesman tried to clean it himself with a spray bottle and cloth. After 30 minutes, I told him to stop because I couldn't wait anymore. I asked to have it taken back and cleaned properly, but the detailers were too busy. Took it in for an oil change and there was only 2 service advisors, both were on the phone upon arrival. While waiting I heard other employees talk about cake in the lunch room. One advisor finished the phone call and told me to wait while he goes to get cake. He never came back and 10 minutes later the other advisor finished his call and assisted me. I made an appointment to get a recall done and booked it for 1200 noon. When the advisor pulled up my appointment info in the computer, he told me then that there wasn't enough time to do the recalls it is a whole day job. They couldn't tell me that when I made the appointment?!? Not only that, but they didn't even have the part! It was backordered with no idea when they would get more. I was told they would call me when the part comes in. I guess I shouldn't be surprised but about a year later, still no phone call. Everytime I call the service department, no one answers the phone, and despite countless voicemail messages left, I never get a call back! I won't be buying from this dealership ever again!

A big thank you to the VW Midtown Toronto team, and a special shoutout to Jordan! I was looking to end the lease on my 2018 Tiguan early when Jordan reached out to me, but I was unsure if it was the right time. Jordan was super helpful with providing every last piece of information I would need to make my decision and came through with just the right amount of follow up without being pushy or making me feel pressured. I ended up getting the 2020 Atlas Cross Sport, and thanks to Jordan and his manager, ending my lease early and getting into a new vehicle was as hassle free as possible. He even found my #1 color choice! On the day I was supposed to pick up my vehicle, things ended up being delayed as I had wanted the winter tires put on. Jordan let me know early that there would be a time change and ensured that I would not be inconvenienced. This resulted in Jordan delivering my car to my house, and allowed for time to show me how to use all the new features. I am so happy with my experience dealing with Midtown VW. When I leased my first Tiguan and when I started looking for the Cross Sport I had tried other dealerships, but the service Midtown provides is unmatched. I'll be back in a few years and can't wait to see what I get next!

I was in the market looking for a Jetta/ Accord and was working with dealers close to Mississauga, where I live- and was tired of hearing the supply chain story from five dealers. I'll just like to say my overall experience at Midtown Volkswagen was a phenomenal one. I'll be quite honest I've been to Honda, Mitsubishi, Ford, and Toyota and didn't really feel the way I did as the day I walked into your dealership. I'm a family person and always include my immediate family (my parents) in these types of trips I make, even they said the same, that the customer service was amazing. Simon Lau was my salesman, and he was awesome, listened to exactly what I was looking for. I actually was browsing late in the evening and I sent a message to your website, I was pretty shocked that I got a message at 930pm from someone. It was from that point I spoke to Simon a bit more that night about the Jetta, and then later on we spoke again and we arranged a time and I came in to visually see everything and go for an amazing test drive. Danielle Breen was also wonderful, broke everything down and explained things clearly, and she also helped us in the purchase of the winter tires for the car. So far we love the car went for a drive to couple places, for me personally I don't feel to move myself from behind the wheel. It is really a fun car to drive.

I am absolutely shocked that Midtown has this high a rating. Their quality of customer service has really declined in the last five years. We took our car in this summer, paid a $155 diagnostic fee to determine the problem, and was told that the tires were “cupping”. Midtown then tried to sell us two new tires even though we just purchased the car a year prior (a VW certified pre-owned vehicle, with under 8K km on it at time of purchase). The problem we were having persisted, so we took it to a mechanic we trusted who told us to take it back to the dealership as it was not the tires. We took it to a different location, who diagnosed the original issue we were having as a warranty issue. We talked to Midtown again to try and get our money back as the invoice actually says, printed on it, that we would get our money back if it was a warranty issue. Midtown has been refusing to give it back and then told my husband that it’s likely the issue with the tires “fixed itself” over the last few months. Unbelievable. We are never bringing our car back to Midtown.

Originally, I was looking into a 2017 Golf R, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, I wasn't able to purchase the vehicle. VW Midtown has always gone above and beyond for me. Most recently, I had an appointment to have my winter tires put onto my golf, when Joshua noticed the rim was dented. I explained I would have to come back for another appointment so I could take time to purchase the rims. Around 12pm I received a call from Joshua stating that he had found rims for me and was able to go pick them up and have them installed before my car was finished at 2pm for it's routine 90km check. Car shopping can be quite a daunting experience for many, but VW MidTown made it so easy for us. Big thanks to Richard Wu and his Team, especially Jordan Khan for making this whole process so simple. Richard is one of the nicest guys you will meet - he stayed back late after the dealership closed on a Saturday to offer a test drive and also explained the trim and financing options. He also takes your options into consideration and encourages you to do your own research as well - even consider other brands - this is very rare among dealerships. I also highly recommend Jordan Khan - one of their brand specialists at the dealership. When we decided to go ahead with the Jetta Execline, Jordan made the process extremely comfortable and easy. He worked with us to understand our budget and helped us get a good deal on the Trim level I wanted. My only regret would be that I couldn't get the Black color we wanted.. I was offered the Silk Blue instead, but can't complain - The Blue is a pretty awesome color too. When I went to pick up my car the battery was dead and they would not help me get it started. Then they asked if I wanted to diagnose my battery issue... There are two parts to this review that are important. Part 1: the sales rep I dealt with was Michael. Michael was great. In fact, he was spectacular. Good communication, nice guy, fair prices, efficient, patient, and detail oriented. Part 2: After I’ve purchased the Certified Pre Owned VW from Midtown VW in Scarborough, we had agreed that I’d return it within a few days to get a pre existing scratch resolved. I dropped it off for a day or two. To my surprise when I return, the car has a flat tire while in their possession (the tire pressure monitoring system didn’t give off an warnings when I dropped it off). They take no ownership of this, no real discounts applied, and treatment by one of their managers “Art”, absolutely despicable. He was the epitome of a sleazy car salesman (although he’s not in sales anymore). I guess once I signed the papers to buy the car, that’s all. I ended up going to another VW dealership and getting the tire for a MUCH better price than Midtown’s “discounted” price. As for Michael, there isn’t really much in his authority for stuff like this, so I don’t blame him at all. I feel that if he could, he would. The double standard here is if I were to bring back a loaner car with a flat tire, guess who they’re gonna try sticking that bill too?

Awful service department - I recommend bringing your car to Don Valley VW for any service or warranty related issues. I brought my VW, still under warranty, to Midtown to investigate a skipping issues with the wheels when making turns. They tried to claim it was "tire cupping" and tried to charge me $550 to replace my tires. I took it to Don Valley VW who immediately recognized the issue as a warrantied item (issue with the all wheel drive clutch). I contacted Midtown VW requesting a refund of the $155 diagnostic fee they charged me since Don Valley correctly diagnosed the issue as a warrantied item. They refused saying that my tires were the issue. They are wrong - Don Valley made the correct repairs and my tires are totally fine. Vehicle works great. The lack of accountability and responsibility related to their workmanship at this location should seriously concern any car owner. Do yourself a favour and bring your car to Don Valley VW - superior technicians, superior customer service and are reasonable people when proven wrong.

As many people know, finding a car can be a stressful and exhausting experience. This is especially true during the pandemic where dealerships have extremely low inventory. This problem is further exacerbated by the fact that dealerships are trying to consistently pull a "bait and switch" approach to lock in a sale. My wife and I experienced this firsthand on numerous occasions. We started looking at the Honda Pilot and signed a lease with a well known dealership. We were assured that the car would be available in 1-2 weeks even though other Honda dealerships told us there was no inventory. One week later, we were told by this Honda dealership that they were out of 2021 Pilots but we could wait months and get in a 2022. We went to the dealership to get our despot back. We then began searching for a VW Atlas. Started at one VW dealership and signed a lease there. Similar to our experience with Honda, they led us to believe that we would have a car within a few weeks but could not produce one. Again, we went to get our money back. I then drove an hour out of the City to find an Atlas that was on a dealer's lot. However, after getting to that VW dealership and looking to sign a lease, I was told that this is a "seller's market" and that few discounts could be applied. This dealership quoted way higher than the others so I left frustrated and exhausted. Thankfully for my family, this story has a happy ending when we found VW Midtown and specifically our sales representative Jordan Khan! Jordan was upfront, honest, and extremely responsive. He provided us with a competitive price and had the car we wanted ready in a week's time. There was absolutely no posturing or sleazy sales tactics. It was the best car buying experience I have ever head. I enjoyed working with Jordan and the VW Midtown team. I will recommend them (and specifically Jordan) to anyone searching for Volkswagen. If you're looking at VW, don't waste your time with the other dealerships. Just come here. I wish we had done this in the first place. Thank you Jordan!

A vehicle of interest came into my eyes on my one of online searches. I reached out to the dealer on their website looking for more information on Sunday May 30th, 2021 in the early afternoon. Service department here is absolutely terrible. Honesty and competence are the most important attributes I seek when looking for a place to maintain my car. I brought my GTI here in December looking to do my 30k maintenance which includes an in-depth inspection of the vehicle. I told the service agent about several issues that needed to be looked at. Short while later agent tells me he didn't hear anything. That alone began to irk me as the noise and creaking is unmistakable. He proceeds to charge me $100 for the service. Obviously I'm not happy at the fact they charge me for essentially providing me with a report that indicates my car is in perfect condition when it plainly isn't. I bring my car again to see if they can identify the issues. Again the agent tells me he doesn't hear anything. At this point I'm sure he is lying or totally incompetent. The third time I came here, I test drove the car with the agent and pointed out the issue within 5 minutes. Sent the agent recorded sound files and he still denies hearing anything. I love my GTI and am surprised VW allows such incompetency within their ranks. I will not return here again and will be reporting this incident to VW Canada for falsifying reports and cheating their customers.

Terrible experince here, twice. Went in twice to purchase a car from them. The first time was so bad that I needed up purchasing a different brand altogether. I went in to test drive a car, but did not buy because of some personal reasons. I came back a month late to buy a car, but when I was sitting down with the sales person, I saw a note on the screen on my account saying " don't waste your time on him, he's just here for test drives". I bought a different car somewhere else. A couple of years later I want back to trade my car in, thinking it might be better. Turns out I was wrong. Guy was so pushy to the point where he would call and email me multiple times a day, after telling him I want a manual car, not automatic, and told him to call me when he has one. He went on the say that he doesn't and if I don't buy this car he's gonna sell it and I won't be able to get another car. There's better options out there. Bought a Golf from a different VW dealer in Toronto and had a great experience. I would avoid them at a cost.

Purchased a 2020 Tiguan from Raphael about 8 weeks ago and was all great experience. Was a lengthy negotiation but we ended up with a deal that works for both of us. But what I really want to comment on is Raphael's service and willingness to provide great customer service! He had no hesitation whatsoever to correct a couple minor issues I had with the vehicle even after I had it for several weeks and didn't notice when I picked it up. No problem, he got it all fixed up for me without any issues whatsoever. Also the service department has surprised me too! Proactively sending me an email about a service action and requesting to book an appointment was AWESOME! Highly recommend this dealership if you're in the market for a new VW. The dealership is beautiful and in a good location to go for a test drive, as it has access to large roads in Scarborough and the highway. I based my decision to go to this dealership based on the fact it had a used car I was interested in and the great google reviews. Unfortunately, I think I ended up with a sales representative that isn’t overly motivated to sell cars. If I lived closer I’d go back, and ask for a new representative, but based on my interaction it isn’t worth the additional distance given that I have two or three VW dealers that are much closer. The sales rep didn't answer basic questions and when asked to provide options on a new vehicle he didn't bother sending anything. Anyway, happy motoring! Richard, thanks for your note (below).
