We were very excited to have our Ford Explorer serviced at this car dealership. Needed to change winter to all season tires, and we had a few concerns- the camera was on/off, the paring light would come on/off on the dashboard, asked for breaks to be inspected and we felt that there was occasional unusual rumbling sound while driving it. We left the car at 7:30. Since we hadn't heard form the dealership til about 2:30- I called to ask when to expect the car to be ready. I was told that it was just taken in and the tires are about to be changed. The person who I spoke to did not know about the issues we had originally asked. He called me in 30 min and told me that they will be taking the car for a ride to diagnose one of the issues. About an hour later I called again and was told again that the tires are about to be changed and that they could not find anything wrong with he ride of the car- no sound but he asked me to explain it to him in detail which I did. Again I asked when can we have the car ready- he said very briefly and probably by 5:00. He called again 30-40 min later and told me that brakes need to be changed, new camera, new shifter, and he quoted me about each of these issues. It was a total of about 4000-5000 in repairs and given that he was not sounding very confident in what he was telling me and the sequence of events, I told him to just change the tires and we will pick up the car at 5:00 but will think abut the rest. He told me the bill will be: the cost for the tires, the labour for it, and charged me 120 dollars for diagnosing the camera issue, 120 for diagnosing the issue with light not coming up... I stopped him there and told him that it doesnt make sense to charge me diagnostic for each separate issue and more importantly I was not even informed about this kind of charge upfront. He told me I should be grateful that he is not charging me for the rest of the issues as he should. I was shocked. This is not my first car nor first Ford car-dealership I have dealt with. No others have charged me per issue but rather per hours of labour and certainly before any work being done, I was informed of the potential charges and asked to agree. I felt horrible I really wanted to have all of the suggestions and repairs done with this dealership but I felt being taken advantage of and overcharged, In the end when we went to pay- I asked to speak with the manager but he told me there wasn't one and agreed to write off one of the diagnostic charges. I am very disappointed with the service- certainly not what I was expecting especially as we were planning for buying a new car and we were hoping to keep the business for all of our car repairs with them.

In the last 3 years I’ve purchased 3 vehicles I’ve given them the chance all three times all three times they were too high. Compared exact same vehicle builds. When I told them I got a better price at another dealership they said no way your getting that I’d like to see that. I got nothing t prove to them but I didn’t buy it from you so obviously I bought it somewhere else cheaper. Plus when I had first truck I brought it there for service because it was closer to home than where I bought it and they asked why I don’t go back sheet I bought it for service. I won’t be back again next year when I trade again.

We’ve been looking for a new vehicle for a while. Visiting many dealerships. Most didn’t even bother giving us the time of day despite the fact we were ready to pull the trigger on a luxury car. Others were so pushy or tried to upsell us before we even took a test drive. McAlpine let us take the car out twice in one day, kept the dealership open for an hour past close (and didn’t even tell us they were closed. Just continued to work with us until we realized ourselves and felt bad) they had no pressure. Were very fair and accommodating on price and even threw in some extras hassle free. The trade in experience was simple and financing they went out of their way to fight and get us a better rate then the already reduced rate. I can’t speak higher about the quality we received. We’ll be coming back for our next car for sure.

The Quick Lane visit for the standard service plan went great. The booking process that is in place in response to the current pandemic was smooth and efficient. The spacious waiting area was appreciated. All the servicing was done well. When I returned a few days later to have the recommended torque check on the wheel nuts there was very little wait time. Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center I came in for an oil change today and unfortunately the sensor in my hood latch decided to malfunction upon the completion of the oil change. Before I could get the slightest bit frustrated, The staff at Quick Lane made arrangements for the part to be replaced, arranged for a ride to get me home including offering to bring me back. My truck was fixed in no time. I can't say enough about how professional and accommodating the staff were to me. I highly recommend having your vehicle serviced here!!

I went in for an oil change and put on my summer tires. They provided me with an Uber ride home. They discovered a problem with My breaks so they informed me immediately. I’m so glad and appreciative of there quick and keen eye in discovering what could have been a deadly disaster. Bought a Focus from these guys, the transmission was terrible. After a couple years, I was able to trade it in (actually at a good price) for an F150. Rex and Andrew were great. I'd give more stars, but the frustrations with the Focus knock it down a bit.

Ford dealers are overwhelmed with service work due to the number of recalls in recent years. The average wait time it 3-4 weeks if you need any service other than an oil change. Many have chosen not to have their vehicles repaired or do so at their own expense. Even if your car or truck is not drivable, under warranty and you can get it fixed some other place, you are on your own. The parking lots are overflowing with parked vehicles waiting for service. Expect if you own a Ford to have it parked some other place and be without it for an extended period. There are not enough service locations, trained mechanics or space to deal with the backlog of work. It does not matter who you are or how many vehicles your business owns; you will not be satisfied with service. There is no long or short term solution Ford has issues and can't keep up.

Not a great experience. Waited 2 weeks for the parts to come in for a recall and a mirror defect. Finally got the appointment 1/2 day because of the amount of work, got a lift home (very nice) and received a call within an hour saying ‘car is ready’ except only the mirror was fixed. Someone forgot to order the parts for the recall. I Got the car back and the fixed mirror was all greasy with finger prints on it ( no clean up). Did the mirror get fixed yes. Was it 5 star nope. Did the recall get done nope. Was is 5 star nope.

I've bought my last vehicle here after what I've been subjected to. I bought this 2017 Ford Escape blue which is my absolute favourite colour and the main reason I purchased this exact car. The service department is a joke, I have a service plan that I paid a lot of money for and I had an issue with raising my back seats back up so Wednesday I did the right thing and took it into the service department so it could be handled. It needed a part so I booked an appointment for first thing Friday May 18th and after describing the issue was accused of causing the damage and breaking my seat belt buckle. I told him that it'd been that way for a few days but we're going away and it needed to be upright for the trip. The cause of the damage is still unknown. Friday 7:30am it was in for service. At noon I still had not heard from them called and went to voice mail went there and it had not even been looked at yet. I was furious. Talked to the Manager who I made sure he was aware I was not happy with this. Got a lame response from him. Get home and the seat belt buckle is jammed under the seat and neither I or my husband could get it up through the hole. Called back informed the manager the work was not finished to my satisfaction. So thats it. This car is for sale to first one who can give me what I owe left on the loan. I dont even want to profit off it.

First, I love my Honda’s, so much that I kept my 2005 Minivan going until now..lots of great memories built over the years. Last few years, started to check out the Ford Explorer..most of my family/friends gave up and assumed I will buy another Honda..and I was 24hrs away from buying a Honda Pilot BUT called McAlpine Ford and basically explained to Matt (cold call) that I wanted a quick test drive of the Explorer. Within 1hr, just before closing, I drove the Explorer XLT. Loved the feel, looks and drive but I wanted the black rims plus roof rails. By 9am, the next morning, got a call from Matt, went over and wow, got everything I asked for, including a very good discount. Jason took care of the paperwork for financing. One week later, I picked up my new Explorer XLT…from the first call, sales experience, to picking up and checking in to see if I’m happy, amazing service. Very big thank you to Matt and Jason, in the coming years, I’m sure I will get to know the full team at McAlpine Ford. Thank you all!!

terrible experience... after a few exchanges of emails and phone calls during the week, I decided to go from Oakville to this dealership on Saturday to look and to test the vehicle that i was interested in... The test drive was scheduled so i was excited to see and possibly to buy the car.. Before I went, I gave an offer in an email, and they said sure, we can do that, just come in... all good... vehicle waiting.. Upon arrival, I noticed that the vehicle is not on the lot.. I introduced myself and let them know that I came for particular vehicle and i asked them where is the vehicle to take a look and to drive...now, I was there around 11, they called around 10 to confirm I was coming, never mentioned anything about the vehicle being in repairs, but when i was there and asked to test drive, the sales guy told me that unfortunately, vehicle is on service in garage and some parts have been taken out and car can be only seen through the glass but can't be driven BUT YOU CAN PURCHASE...when my wife and I got upset because we came from Oakville, had to find a babysitter for our kids, and they didn't bother to mention on the phone that morning that the car is in repairs, they said that they didn't know the car was in repairs until we came in...an hour after the phonecall..really??? You scheduled and confirmed someone the night before and again that morning, but don't know the car is in repairs, even though you can see it hoisted up from where your desk is??? I don't buy it. Then they had a plan to run a credit check, and drive the car out to me and if i like it i sign and buy it, it's not going to be an issue for me (bs again)...I said well if I don't like it, and we ran credit check, and i have to run it again for another car it can be an issue, the guy is like "well...yeah..." If I could give them 0 stars, I would. you can't test but you can buy??? Then some guy, sales manager by the name Tony came and started lying about it again and basically said the same.. OK, I was there already, so I figured ok, lets talk about the price, and it went downhill there too... they came up with the listed price of the vehicle and just ignored my offer that i submitted in the mail and they said they can do, which is what made me to go to them in the first place.... Terrible experience, terrible excuses, terrible lying...

Sadly I've had nothing but poor experiences here. Two service calls resulted in a misdiagnosis and then damage to my car that they refused to admit they caused and for which repair they charged me. I stayed away for years, but then went back last year and got a sales-hustle that left me feeling like I would get ripped off... so bought elsewhere. We had excellent service from Don , the service manager, and our salesman Ernie Dubkowski, who directed us as to how handle our situation. Our truck had a tailgate recall, and damage had been caused to our tailgate due to the faulty part. Don and Ernie both went to bat for us and were instrumental in getting our repairs done in a timely manner. Right from start to finish, Don helped us through the process, and the truck is repaired and the damage caused is repaired, and looks great. Don took the time to walk us through every step. The fact that Ernie, who sold us the truck 5 years ago is still so willing to help his clients is amazing. A very positive experience!

Took 3 attempts to finally fix the issue with my bearings. I understand the progressive approach to doing each corner at a time, but it should have been detected/fixed in one visit not 3 return visits each time saying "its fixed" and me saying "its not fixed". Service staff was good in continuing the repair process but technician should have detected continuing problem on the test drives.

I popped into McAlpine on my way home from work and within the hour, I was signing on the dotted line for a beautiful 2013 Ford Escape. Terry was my salesman and he was very patient, very polite and made sure that I knew the full and impressive history of the car. Angelo helped me get the number plates on and was also really helpful and friendly. Within a few days, I was driving my beautiful new car around Ontario. As with all older cars, there were some small issues that appeared shortly after I drove it off the lot. My experience with dealerships in the past is that they throw their hands up and say 'what do you expect, its an 8 year old car!' Yes I'm talking about you, Kia Newmarket! Not McAlpine Ford though, they took the car in that day and called me to tell me that the car would be fixed at no charge. Thank you Peter for sorting that out for me, you're a true gem! I booked an early morning appointment for a safety inspection of my car. What was supposed to be a 1.5 hour job, it took the entire day to complete. No follow-up calls through out the day, no ETAs. When I mentioned that I needed the car at the end of the day to pick up my infant from a day care, I was told (though politely) to make alternative arrangements. Even when I arrived at location’s closing hours, the car was still not ready. The service center hasn’t had the courtesy to apologize for the delay.

People please don't buy extended warranty from Ford. Worst experience ever. I bought a mustang GT from Ford McAlpine with 7 years or 120k extended warranty. After driving it for 6000 km I decided to trade it in for a new truck and I was told I cannot Since my Truck has factory warranty I cannot transfer the warranty and neither will they return the adjusted old extended warranty back with cancellation to me as more than 60 days have passed since my purchase. Moral of story : I lost my extended warranty and I cannot cancel it with partial refund. Being a three time Ford owner, I will not go to Ford again after being treated like this.

It was time to purchase a new vehicle and after shopping around I came across the 2019 Ecosport however I wanted to check it out. I came into the dealership on a Saturday, was somewhat hesitant to sit down with a sales rep due to most cars sales rep's are only after the commission / profit and it is clearly evident at some dealerships. I was introduced to Rex Tsang who welcomed me, sat down and walked myself and my family through the options, explained the rebates, and it was extremely pleasant. Rex having a transparent personality that was not pushy and annoying made the experience a very positive one. I give full marks to Rex for a 10/10 experience from the moment he introduced himself, the test drive, to the final paper work. Overall very professional and the furthest thing from the typical "sleazy car sales rep". Also I work Mon-Fri in the city so Rex having availability on Saturdays? Made the intro/ purchase / delivery that much easier. Great job Rex! I speak very highly of Marcy from Service when ever I've needed maintenance to my Ford vehicles. Very friendly and has a great attitude. Also Jason in the Fast Lane always some how stays positive even when it can be EXTREMELY busy. Always good service when replying to email or phone calls within 24 hours or so and all around good customer service which is nice to see. Most of all Rex Tsang did not seem like a typical stereotype sleazy car salesman he felt more like a friend so thanks again!

I would give them one star just because of service management ,I left my truck there on April 19th with all the details of the issue my truck had and on April 20th went back there give all the information again to the lady whose working in front desk and requested to contact me if there's any question !!! after" 8" days I didn't hear anything from them went back to check up on the truck I realized they didn't even move my car from the spot which i parked???????????????? after a big fight with them I had to take my truck to Scarborough dealership and leave it there for another week to get ot fixed the problem with my truck was technical and wire issue which still is under warranty .When I contact service manager to see why he didn't even touch my truck he said I am not involved in this and you can contact head office or whoever you like and do whatever you like then you're going to contact me and I will talk to them .So this is my question for some customer like me who has 3 truck already with Ford also was going to pruches another one is this a right way to be treated?????

One of, if not the worst car shopping experience I've had .... TWICE. The sales people here have no interests in helping you. They rather sit and gossip at their desks and push vehicles on you without answering questions or giving alternates and options. Communication is extremely poor, twice I had been ignored on follow-ups promised by sales people. In short if you are looking for a horrible experience at a subpar dealership, this is the place to go. TLDR; Waited for a call for over a month, from two separate sales people about cars I was actively looking to purchase. Sales reps would not take the time to properly show me the vehicles and features. People shouldn't have to chase.

My personal experience with my salesman Terry was great. He helped me get into a fully loaded 2018 xlt special edition with only 19900km on it. He was great. However not even having the truck a day I’ve had issues. First night on the highway I hear a scraping sound coming from the left front wheel area. After investigating and finding identical videos to the sound it seems I have a vacuum leak to do with the IWE system. Considering the truck was sitting for awhile I thought I would give it a day or two and drive it. It did go away but has come back. Issue one. Secondly I have a slow leak in my right front tire. It was a tad lower when I got it but I’ve since had to fill it with air twice in my 5 days of ownership. Not the biggest deal but still for a truck that’s not even been in my possession 3 days at the time of the first fill is definitely an annoyance. Thirdly I was told by a neighbour something was dragging from my truck. After checking that out it looks like the felt oil pan cover/shield had been ripped off or come loose. Again not major but another thing on top of the other two. Lastly not even 30 minutes ago I try to get into the truck to fill up that leaky tire and I can’t gain entry. Door won’t open. I go through the passengers side and have to open it through there. Door then won’t close. Locks won’t engage. I try other doors and same issue, now none will latch. Through the Ford pass app I noticed there was a recall on my trucks door latches for them freezing... good to know the doors won’t close or may have issues especially considering I have tools for work in my truck. I’m of the understanding that vehicles are not to be sold with outstanding recalls which mine apparently was. Not happy about that. It really upsets me. Overall I would say the dealership and staff for friendliness is great. Good atmosphere and everyone is polite. However these many issues in such a short window on a truck that I haven’t even owned for a full week just baffles my mind. The felt cover/plate I can let slide but everything else especially the door latch issue being a known recall and not fixed is unacceptable. I’ll give Mcalpine the opportunity to correct this and if they do then I have no problem updating this review and adjusting my rating.

Staff were hostile and rude over a minor/easy interaction requesting pricing for an inspection: I went in to request a price for an air conditioning inspection. I asked what the estimated price was for the inspection, the service department employee said he could not provide that price until he took a look at the vehicle. I dropped off the vehicle so he could look at it during the night shift, went to bed, and woke up to a text message from the dealership saying I owed them $142 + HST. I had not confirmed I wanted the inspection done as I was requesting pricing from a few mechanics. I went back to the dealership and asked the same service department employee, he lied to my face and said he had told me the fee, which he never had, and claimed I didn't hear him say this. I was upset at this response, and asked to speak to his manager. The man standing beside the service employee stated that he was the manager and that we "don't sell a service to people for free." I told him that I had not expected a free service, that I had only come in to inquire on a price for an AC inspection, and had been told that they could not tell until they looked under the hood and that they requested the vehicle in order to provide me the price. Their response was to sneer, be hostile, and point to the exit and say "Have a nice day."

Either ford trucks are garbage or the dealership is trying to delay until I am out of warranty. Hmmm ... either way I will never buy Ford again. Overall my experience with McAlpine has been really positive, they have provided knowledgable and friendly service and the shuttle makes it really easy to access. However, I recently had to take my car in several times for the same thing (and what turned out to be a small issue that should have been resolved the first time). I have doubts in my mind if the work that I paid for the first time or a proper road test was even done. Jason was really helpful in getting the concern resolved but even he voiced concerns that the road test wasn't done (like they said it was) because when we barely pulled out of the parking spot the noise was clearly heard. It's really concerning to know that I paid for work to be done and that my vehicle was likely not even properly inspected. This also meant I had to bring it back again costing me another day without my vehicle, which I need for work. Honesty and trust are values that I believe are important in a business transaction so I am really disappointed by this experience.

I recently went into get a tune up done, i was afraid of doing it myself knowing the spark plug have a tendency to break. I also had another issue but didnt want it to break my bank getting it all fixed at the dealer. I was very happy after getting the truck back the next day, i drove it around for a few days to see if there was any difference. its was like night and day. The other problem that i was worried about was all taken care at the cost of the tune up, which was probably the best price i got after searching for where to go. Just as we were getting ready to get on the highway “error tire pressure gauge” showed up on our truck with less than 10K on it. Made as 7 minute detour to dealership and got lucky as the Quick Lane was very quiet ~ so guys quickly had the truck hoiseted up and discovered Guage was malfunctioning. Luckily though the tech also discovered that this same dealership had over inflated the tires (by nearly 30%) when we did tire swap a month or so ago and he fixed that as well!

Terrible dealership. I found what I wanted at another Ford dealership but I WANTED to give McAlpine the business because it was close by. After a week of games, including telling me the package I wanted didn't exist but they could sell me a lower trim level for the same price, then saying they could get me the car i wanted and match the price, then trying to pass off the lower trim level again when I was ready to sign, I gave up and got the car I wanted elsewhere. I stupidly used their service Dept once as well, because they were close by, that was a nightmare too. Do yourself a favour and stay away.

Great Dealership! Put our snows on today and our rims have different lug nuts requiring a different size socket which we provided. When we picked up the vehicle I noticed the socket wasn't in the box with the lug nuts and went in to inquire. They stated it was in the glove box and came out to the vehicle - there it was, but as the advisor was walking away he asked if we kept in the car to which I replied no and then explained we should in case of a flat tire - they were right but it never crossed our mind. I have bought 5 Ford vehicles in the last 15 years. 3 of them from this dealership. I was not expecting the kind of after sales service I received. After purchasing the lastest Ford Edge I noticed that the brakes were making a loud noise and the steering wheel was also vibrating when braking. I spoke to the salesperson who recommended that I bring in the vehicle so that they can check. I did and after test driving it they said that there is something wrong and they need the car for a day. I requested a loaner car and the earliest they had one available was in 20 days. I told them that the car is brand new and it should not take them so long to arrange a loaner car. But, they said that is the earliest possible date. They also told me to check the weather one day before the appointment date and if it is supposed to rain that day then I should call them to reschedule the appointment as they cannot replicate the issue if it is raining. Unfortunately, it was going to rain that day. I called and they rescheduled for 8 days later. Again, they asked me to check the weather and if it going to rain then to call them a day earlier. Unfortunately, once again it was supposed to rain. So, I called and left a message for the service department to call me to reschedule the appointment. It has been 3 days now and nobody has called me. These guys have done 3 things wrong: 1) It should not have taken them so long to get a loaner car considering I had a problem with virtually a brand new car. 2) It should not have been my job to check the weather and inform them. It should have been the other way around. 3) Rescheduling due to rain should not take another 8 days. Now, I have given up on them and have decided never to buy from McAlpine Ford again.

September 2020 bought 2020 Demo Explorer platinum the looked beautiful only had 13,000km After one week of picking the car muffler Making a noise took to them , they say parts not available yet but we’re going place an order from at moment nothing wrong keep driving and after two weeks still waiting the parts transmission started making noise took to them they say nothing wrong, in November 2020 I have received recall note from Ford my explorer might be some 2020 explorer to have defect I should take to Ford dealer, I have called them to book an appointment one the service rep that I explain what I have been complaining before I have received recall notice, he told me that no appointment is available only if can bring after 10 days and I have insisted I should bring the car immediately he started intimidating me that he would not give me a loaner car if I bring that November day, Took another day they fixed muffler they said they let me know about recall issue later I should keep driving at time nothing wrong with the car, Saturday Evening December 19 tried to take my car for grocery but the car could not start called Ford roadside assistance which they sent towing gas ok but would not start tower called for assistance after that the Car started.December 21 called the dealership and they kept till the end of January 2021 after that nothing was fixed and I give it up this brand and the dealership Before this much issue I have complained to sales manager ( Tony ) that I have over paid for the car he said that he make it right that he will compensate for the hassle from dealer and Ford company which they never did.I paid the for car over $60,000. Eventually I have to take loss which I have traded to a Nissan in March 2021. I will never go to this Ford dealership or buy Ford brand thanks to Tony and Roman.

I'm in the market for a 2017 Ford F-150 XLT supercrew and figured to try McAlpine since it was the closest Ford dealership and have fairly good reviews. Before buying anything, I spend a lot of time researching on the internet and this time ain't different and I had just purchased another vehicle a few months ago, so you may say I'm not a rookie. I have to say it was a total waste of my time, going there to meet the salesperson Peter Munger. He said he only had two 2017 XLT supercrew, with a lot of options, in stock and the better option is to get a 2018 instead because of the 0% financing. He brought a big binder and started to go through the pages, looking at the options and prices, while there was a computer and monitor on his desk. He went through all the prices, numbers which having anything written or even shown anything on the monitor. I just did a quick google and showed him some examples of what I can get at a better price that he was talking about. He immediately said he won't be able to match it and we parted ways. So what I have done is build and find a 2017 SLT Supercrew on ford.ca and requested a quote and I have received on the road prices, all in the comfort of my home. BTW, I did not choose McAlpine in the available list of dealerships to send me an internet quote because the only have 2 in stock and they cannot get any from other dealerships who have them in stock... :)

I can’t really review the dealership sales staff as I had no contact with them. Overall Ford dealership are much better at dealing with customers than Ford Canada head office!

I had major issues with my 2020 Ford Explorer and it seemed like nobody could help as Ford was facing their own issues with Covid-19 - After taking my concerns to Ford's HQ, I received a call that day from Pete Watkins, Fixed Operations Manager @McApline Ford. He went above and beyond for me. He was empathetic to my situation and incredibly communicative. He seemed to move mountains in order to fix my situation and make things right. He provided a luxurious loaner as my car was going to be worked on for 3-4 days. When i picked it up, not only was it fixed, it was completely detailed too! I cannot thank Pete and his team enough for making this right and giving me back the confidence in the brand. What was equally impressive, i bought this car almost 8 months ago and the sales rep I dealt with, Nathan Sinclair came right up to me as if I bought the car yesterday and asked how things were. 8 months later, knowing who i was and remembering my name, even with my mask on, solidified the fact that I am now a customer forever!! thank you Pete and Nathan. Bought brand new truck 5 months ago Had some technical problem took it back to check ... after 3 days I call to find out ...I was put on hold and then I was told “we can’t figure out what is wrong with the truck ..next day a lady by the name of Marcy Gollan call me told me they found some physics damage under the hood That can’t be a warranty issue so you are on you own, apparently they couldn’t see that all day when they try to diagnose the problem..it didn’t sound right so I ask to speak to manager they pass the phone to peter Watkins and I hope that is his real name, I don’t think they would give me the right name anyway his customer service attitude was like oh my god !! Really ?? he offer out right you can come and take your truck some where else ..ask him why couldn’t they see the physical damages the first day ??? “The technician lie to you we didn’t see your Car till this morning “ Wow ... Wonder if the technician lied or he is lying. What ever the case is I went to pick up my truck the lady I mention was very rude and didn’t want to talk as If she owns the dealership. By the way ask for General manager twice I was told he is not around. I will try to have service some where else but definitely will not go there again or recommend it to anyone ..

People come and go but as a whole they are always friendly and help. I decided to get my snow tires out on my F150. Of course I bought used tires and rims. So needed new sensors. I went and saw the team at Quick Lane. They are a walk in But called and asked what time was best. I was told come after 2. So I did. They took it in right away. Did it all. Replaced the sensors. Took my explorer in for a service/oil change everything was pretty smooth, took around 2 hours in total, nice man dropped me off and picked me up via shuttle service. Next day after driving to a store my check engine light came on, not had any issues previous to the service/oil change. I call and I manage to get in first thing the next day. I show up and explain the problem and the service guy tells me I'll have to pay $142 for a diagnostic, that was met with a pretty annoyed response which I think prompted the guy to re-think and he said he would have the mechanic take a look at it. I sat tight for an hour until I was told my car was ready and that it was caused by the oil cap being loose. I appreciate not getting charged for something that seemed like your fault, but the lack of apology and wasted time and a delayed trip makes me pretty angry and reluctant to visit again.
