I rented a van from them 2 years ago. Now the service was very good. Friendly too. But the van I rented was dropped off by a guy who checked out and then i went with the agent to view it. During the return insoection he didnt see an existing scrape down the side of the van. Later when I returned it, i got charged the 500$ deductable for damage. Now later it was refunded to my visa as their maintenace department verified the van had been previously damaged. So in all I get pay for the right amount, but to have the agent not do the proper inspection was a huge issue, and then to claimed I damaged the vehicle without proof was not cool. So i gave this business an average rating.

Frank and his team are the best, my driver license was expired and can't go to renewal because the covid, they help.me to renew online right away. After I return the car in the midnight and drop the key in their trip box, I found out I leave my garage opener in the car I just return, they found it in the morning and return to me. Very good customer service and strongly recommend

There site let's you book cars, and but when you go to pick up they don't have any cars. Cars not as clean as other rentals.

I like this place when I need a last minute rental. Prices are fair but customer service is not there all the time. Sometimes I have to wait for 10-15 minutes before the staff arrived at the location although I had my reservation.

I usually go to the more expensive car rental places, but I thought why not give these guys a try since their prices were CONSIDERABLY cheaper. They’re great if you need a cheaper, older model, no frills vehicle that gets you from Point A to Point B. 1) They have older vehicle models than the ones I was used to getting at the more expensive car rental places. I once had a van with no Bluetooth. (So, always bring an AUX cord/FM Transmitter just in case). 2) A hidden cost is car rental insurance. It WILL add more to the overall price that you were originally quoted. So, if you don’t have car insurance that covers car rentals, be prepared to have to buy theirs. (Fun fact, the overall rental cost will still be considerably cheaper than the more expensive places). 3) They won’t take the time to clean their vehicles as “meticulously” as the more expensive car rental places. You get what you pay for! Bring some Lysol/Clorox wipes, and paper towels just in case.

Everytime I book online and go to the location they always... ALWAYS have a different prices for the same car I got online. And they are always high. And the cars are a bit dirty both the times I rented a car from them. And the customer service representative are just too arrogant. They feel they know everything. Which they actually don't. Terrible experience and service. We reserved a moving truck from Advantage (Victoria Park/Danforth) for a Saturday. I even called to confirm the reservation and was told everything was all set for our pick-up at 8:30 am. When my Dad and Husband arrived to pick it up they were told the van was at another location and they needed to go pick it up there. The staff were not apologetic at all. We had the elevator booked for a specific timeframe for our move that day and there was no way we had time to go across town to pick up another truck, load it and get to our new condo to make the elevator time slot. This location is completely unreliable, beware!!!

Staff are friendly at this location and the cars are affordable compared to others. Disadvantages are no loyalty program like Enterprise and if you decline insurance you better check your invoice as on numerous occasions i have been charged 15-40$ more for insurance and they don't even tell you there adding it on. FYI.

Great prices and friendly, accommodating staff. I arrived an hour and a half before my reservation time but the staff were willing to check me through as soon as they could. I also lost a valuable item in the car and the staff was able to get it back to me as quickly as possible, even though the car had been re-rented by the time I discovered it missing. The vehicle that I rented was great. Clean, new model that handled like a dream during all the highway driving. I will most definitely rent from there again!

Don't use this location! We originally tried to book a location downtown Toronto but they had to send us up here as there were no more trucks downtown, 30-40 minutes away. Firstly, there was no one in the office, only a sign saying they would be back in 15 minutes adding another 15 minutes to our moving day delay. They will nickle and dime you on every kilometer and every ounce of gasoline. STEER CLEAR!

Great service and their prices were always better than others. They did not inflate their cargo prices on end and start of month like others. Already booked two times and always found them to be very helpful. Cars were clean and drive well. The manager was very helpful in letting me know that cargo van has commercial insurance. Do check them before others.

I used to be a loyal customer of Discount, but recently I became familiar with Advantage. The service I received was amazing. The pick up took me only 5 minutes and return was pretty easy and fast too. The car was almost brand new and very clean. Advantage has super friendly staff especially Frank who helped a lot to understand the rental policies and getting a good deal for the rental insurance.

Not exceedingly so, but I have definitely felt the need to give inside a good wipe down with some disinfectant wipes. All in all, however, a good experience with the service here. The office location is in the little nook by Dollarama at Shoppers World (South West corner). You might not see it at first if you've never been here. I think this place is an incredible hidden gem. It was recommended to me by a friend who found out how much I was spending on day rates with car sharing programs. Advantage East York's rental rates are very competitive to other rental agencies (if not incomparable!) and it was also very easy to reserve a car online. I've had a lot of rentals from various companies for work but this was my first time doing the entire process from start to finish on my own. Frank was so friendly kind. He explained everything I needed and was very professional. The car pick-up was efficient, smooth, and thorough. My rental car was in great condition. It was practically brand new. It drove very smoothly. It was perfect for my needs. I ended up needed my rental for longer than expected and extending my rental was easy. The staff here are very helpful! I was a frantic customer with a lot of emails and oh so many questions. The staff at this location were extremely patient and helpful throughout, and I thank them for putting up with me. I look forward to renting from here again in the future. They're absolutely my top choice right now for my next car rental.

Great staff! Great customer service! Lil is the best. I was very loyal to enterprise but one bad experience I left them and called advantage car and from there I become fan of lil. Great choice of car always updated models and cheap compare to elsewhere. Last time I booked a basic car about $29 a day, when I went to pick up vehicle was offered SUV for free upgrade! Which is $70 a day! Really amazed with the service. And plus they do drop you back home after you drop the car. Highly recommend.

I have been renting cars for the last 9 years from Enterprise and Budget but recently my neighbour told me about Advantage Car rental on the day when I needed the most. To my surprise, on the day when I needed a 7 seater car, Advantage provided me that without any prior booking that's how I started booking my car with Advantage. Since then I have been renting from Advantage and it is super easy to book and the rates are comparatively way lower than other big names. The service is really wonderful and always ready to help their clients. I wish them all the best!

Advantage is the rental company used by Toronto Honda when my van is being serviced. Their rentals are clean and in good condition. I have used their services a number of times. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend them. Aug. 20. ***** Yet again I have relied on Advantage for a van and as always they were exceptional in all aspects of my rental.

My girlfriend and I did a long term rental here, and was asked to check-in around 30 day mark, which we dutifully obliged, thinking it'll just be some routine paperwork. Oh boy we were wrong, after inspection, the staff mentioned there are two damages. Those were scratches from some unfortunate parking incidents and I offered insurance as well as my credit card to cover any cost involved. Despite us being totally cooperative and willing to pay for the cosmetic damages, they took the car away and told us to walk. Not only we were suddenly without a car and having to scramble other forms of transportation, but we were also offered NO refund for taking the car back early. (we paid for the whole duration of the rental) I've rented lots of cars, this is the worst experience, by a very large margin.

One of the worst....no let me change that it was the worst experience renting a car in my more than twenty years of renting a vehicle. From the moment I looked in this company to rent a vehicle to returning it it was a nightmare that I will not forget. I have used this company in the past and experienced no issues but I am not certain what happened this time....all to save some money. I suppose you get what you pay for. Warning!! remember the price that you may have seen posted online, it states that they will drop off the vehicle to your home and arrange for early pick ups but it was a lie. When I requested an early pickup their response was that it was too early...why do you post that option then. The manager of this location felt very comfortable making un-customer service like remarks and she succeeded in upsetting me. I wonder if she (Lil) speaks to all customers that way. If they received a 5 star rating it was only because of the pricing. the only saving grace was that they rectified the pricing issue but only after getting very upset and vocal about it which demonstrates their lack of ability to handle customer grievances in a timely fashion. Really unfortunate and i would not recommend them for a rental service

So far the most affordable car rental service I found in Toronto and the service is great too. I had this brand new Honda Civic for a weekend. Very satisfied. The only thing that I don’t like is that I can’t return the car on Sunday. If I need book the car for Saturday then I have to book Sunday as well and return it on next Monday. The thing is sometimes I just need the car for one day! But anyhow it is still cheaper to book 2 days in Advantage than other car rental companies for only 1 day. Will come back again for sure.

A bit pricey but good service although I was not impressed by the damage to the rear tale gate to the 18 foot cube van I rented one of my helpers fell and hurt himself pretty good. This could have been easily fixed by bolting on a new rear bumper./tailgate. Both sides had magor damage which resulted in them being gull winged leaving the rear bumper/tailgate on a 45 degree angle. If not for the handle on the back of the truck that my helper had a hold of he would've suffered major injury and or death. The bruising to his left arm, leg and back are pretty extensive.
