Gave an estimate via the car dealership for $850; when I went myself it was $300 (35%) more. When asked, they blamed "human error". I had planned one repair through insurance and one out-of-pocket. While I expressed this very clearly, it was later blamed in part for the confusion. I will hand it to them for honoring the original estimate yet can honestly not see how a 35% error could be human error. Particularly as, knowing the discrepancy I mentioned it seemed high thereby offering opportunity for the estimate to be double checked. I'm still giving 4 stars because I know the work they do is good. This business can definitely do some work though on the customer transparency and friendliness side of things, as I felt physically very uncomfortable and powerless in my interaction with them. People already feel very vulnerable when they have an accident of any sort and as a woman I feel my knowledge of automobile mechanics is already assumed to be little to none, which adds to the vulnerability. While this assumption regarding my limited knowledge might be true, it makes it all the more important that I am walked through the details of a process and estimate and made to feel in a safe space. I hope you will take this feedback and apply it in your future customer interactions.

Very busy spot. Took a month to get car fixed. Last minute I changed my needs and asked for a loaner which was organized. I was lucky. Car looks great. Clean and polished on pickup. Good to deal with and managed the poor organization of the insurance to make things easy for myself. I’d use them again if I have too but hope I don’t.

Took my Genesis there for some costly repairs on my rear bumper, was thinking it would take around a week, took them maybe 3 days, you wouldn’t even be able to tell the car was hit, they did an amazing job, looks even better than it originally did, I would highly recommend this place to anyone, they also washed my car, cleaned my interior, and polished my wheels, looked clean and very nice. Will be takin my car back ASAP as I was just hit again today, will not want to go anywhere else knowing these guys are available.

Don't go here. Not a friendly place. One guy out of everyone was nice, but the front desk lady does not know what she's talking about. She will call you and think you're someone else. She loses your paper work, gets mad at you if you walk in "on the wrong day", even though it's the day your appointment is on and she has the days mixed up. There's guys at their desk telling you that they have never seen your car at their shop before even though you have in the last week. I had work done on my car and it was horrible. It looked like a 4 year old painted over the dent and chipped off paint. I went back and the guy said there's nothing we can do, but they can still take it in and see what they can do... So I brought it in, and booked an appt. They said it will be ready tomorrow or in the afternoon on the next day. The front desk lady said she will call before 5pm to let us know when to pick it up and if she doesn't call, we should call her to remind her... That's not a business. Why is it my responsibility to call her? So a day goes by, and another day and so on... no call. By now, it's been 4 full days. On the 4th day, I finally receive a call that my car will be ready at 445pm. Perfect. No problem, they didn't tell me anything of how it was doing or when approximately it will be ready. The lady tells me that they had to keep it longer than expected. Which means they found something that wasn't repaired properly the first time. Don't go here. Poor customer service, ill-mannered, poorly trained receptionist lady, and poor quality work. they also say they washed my car inside and out but they didn't, they rinsed the outside and that's about it. Businesses belittling younger adults, nothing new.

I recently had a vehicle accident with my Audi and was dead set on enlisting the best body shop in town to repair the car that I love. I actually removed my car from another body shop, once I realized I had made a mistake in choosing, (remember the love for this car). So I asked around and did some online research and Prancing Horse became the obvious choice. With a solid reputation and personal recommendations I placed my car with Prancing Horse. It took some time to complete, due to parts supply issues but the final result is truly impressive. They also stand by the work without issue. Being a fussy owner I thought the hood could have been aligned a touch better than it was, I'll be honest 9/10 owners wouldn't even notice the difference but I did. I explained this to Rick and without hesitation he arranged to have my car brought in to satisfy my request. Can't say enough good things about this body shop, they were professional, provided me with a courtesy car over the holidays and most importantly the car looks fantastic. My car was even detailed before it was handed back over to me! Thanks again to the amazing team at Prancing Horse!

Received a fair quote on the spot. This is a very professional and clean shop that actually pay attention to detail. Very rare in this day and age! And here is the kicker, they threw in a full interior cleaning and some touch-up paint. I recommend this business if you want a job done right the first time.

Did an amazing job fixing some minor damage on my bumper. Great experience overall. You may have to wait a couple weeks to get the repairs done, a busy shop is always a good sign. My car came back looking cleaner and shinier than even I can get. I highly recommended them!

They gave me the cheapest quote by $500-$1000 on a $2000 job. They did a beautiful job on my car at the stated cost (no extra charges) and not on time - 1-2 days sooner than expected. The job included pulling down the headliner - the interior is better than it was before. The car had obviously been cleaned extensively inside and out - including my filthy winter wheels which they hadn't worked near! Communication was polite and courteous. A taxi voucher was provided to get me home after I dropped off the car. (I cycled to pick it up) The owner provided the quote (rather than a random disinterested employee). All in all would recommend

They were very flexible and we were able to work out a very fair price for the work I needed done. The car was given back to me completely detailed inside and out and they even shined the tires! This is the 2nd time we've used Prancing Horse, following a couple of small accidents. Unfortunately we were in need of such a service; but fortunately, we found Prancing Horse! They did a bang-up job. Well, actually, an "un" bang-up job! The car looks better the before the accident. Christine at the front desk was friendly, informative, and respectful. Bernie (the owner) let me know it would be likely a 3-4 day job, and they had it done in 2 days. Service was personable, and I felt appreciated for bringing the car to them, unlike a couple of other shops in town, where the vibe was more like I was a nuisance, bringing my car to them. I highly recommend, and will be happy to take my car there again, if such a need arises.

Had a small mishap just before Christmas - lawn chair flew off the back of a truck and wrecked the front side and mirror. The whole experience was positive and exceeded expectations: Christine's friendly and professional assistance on the phone and in person, Bernie's pressure-free questions about what I wanted, his detailed and explanatory price estimate, flexible arrangements for completing the project, several unanticipated and much appreciated improvements that were not added to the costs, a final surprise-free invoice that matched the original price estimate, and most importantly, technicians, detailers and painters who gave me a "new" shiny car from bumper to bumper that is the envy of the neighbourhood. I had my car fixed there and a door replaced and repainted and when the paint began peeling I went back to get it fixed and they said that it wasn't there paint job and I must have got the car painted after they did it. There manager kicked me off the property and one of their employees got threatening. I eventually did get it fixed at another shop after contacting to ICBC. Plus they have me an old early 90's Tercel as a courtesy car

Our SUV was vandalized and they fixed us up on an insurance claim. They did a fantastic job and were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Provided a great courtesy car and identified an additional unrelated fix we needed at very little additional charge. Paint job looks identical to the rest of the car, and vehicle came back to me as clean as the day I purchased it. Would definitely recommend for autobody or paint work.

I've previously made critical comments about Prancing Horse because of some strange speckling that started appearing on the quarter panel they painted. Even though this happened five years ago they seemed intent on discovering what the problem was, stripped off the paint and found that the primer was likely contaminated with something. They took the panel and rear door down to bare metal and repainted it. I'm really impressed with their dedication to making sure their work is done right. So whatever negative comments I made in the past I'd like to retract, and I now highly recommend them.

Smug would be the word I would use to describe the employee I dealt with. He didn't address my concerns, acted like a know-it-all, treated me like I knew nothing about what I was talking about. His suggested repair solution was full of short cuts and not the proper way to deal with a high end automobile.. Glad I was able to get a second opinion before I committed to Prancing Horse. 0/10.

A few months ago I was referred from Discovery Honda to Prancing Horse Autobody to fix a paint problem with my new Honda civic, when I arrived I was introduced to Rick Grant the Assistant Manager. He assured me the problem would be corrected to my liking and when I arrived to pick up my Honda civic I was not disappointed, they did a great job. I told Rick I would be back and let others know of my positive dealing with them. Just recently I opened my driver door on my Dodge Ram truck against a concrete wall chipping the edge paint and bending the edge inward. I went back and saw Rick again and he assured me he could fix it easily. I went back to pick up my truck and again a great job especially because it is black paint. Rick is a great guy and knows his stuff, he has worked in auto body for years and a certified body man himself. I now have a body shop and a go to guy for all my auto body repairs and paint. I would not hesitate to send my friends to see Rick for their auto body repair needs. I am a very happy customer. Thank You to Rick.

I had a wonderful experience here! Took my vehicle to this accredited auto-body shop for repairs to my rear bumper. Everyone was incredibly helpful and took the time to answer all of my questions. I was even able to borrow a courtesy car from them. Service was exceptional! They had my rear bumper repaired and painted in less than 2 days, and even went and repaired beyond what was expected! All of the work on the rear bumper looks fantastic, and my vehicle was cleaned really well before it was returned to me. I would highly recommend taking your vehicle here for any service you need. Came in for a retail (non-icbc claim) repair and I was impressed by the quality of work, service, professionalism and flexibility of Prancing Horse Auto Body & Paint. Despite being a first time customer and visiting a few shops prior to Prancing Horse Auto Body, they are the only one I felt good about letting them do the work. They welcomed me like a long time customer and gave me a quote that was exactly the same as the final invoice. Their courtesy car was clean and looked after. There was no surprises throughout the whole process. After the car was repaired, they cleaned and vacuumed my car. To top it off, you get a free notepad and pen once you paid, which I used the same day. Definitely will recommend Prancing Horse Auto Body to others.

This repair shop was recommended to me, but I still did my due diligence and researched it prior to coming in. I also, checked other autobody shops as well. I chose Prancing Horse for several reasons: 1) There were priced well 2) They guaranteed their work for life 3) They were knowledgeable, very informative, helpful, and friendly 4) They were busy ....you can read between the lines to know what that means I was able to get in relatively fast and when I went to pick up my vehicle, it looked as good as new. I was very impressed and more than happy to sing their praise. They definitely stand behind their work and give great service. It shows from the moment you enter the shop and drop off your vehicle until the time you leave with it. You got to check these guys out!
