I went to perfections while searching for a business that had experience with prepping, installing, and painting aftermarket body parts on the recommendation of a gentleman at Advanced Collision. Doug came out and answered my questions with a great depth of knowledge and many pearls of wisdom, as well as a realistic, on-the-spot estimation. He steered me clear of poor quality manufacturers and parts that would give nothing but difficult times and poor fitment and seemed genuinely concerned with ensuring I would get what I was envisioning. When I get those parts in I'm definitely taking my car to him to get the job done. While their website isn't nearly as detailed as SHC Autographx, I'm sure Doug will ensure a much better experience in person at perfections.

I do have concerns about the work ethics of this company and would caution against using them, and if you do, DO NOT let them have your credit card number. Also, for the records, the company gave me an estimate that the job would costs about $2000 but in their estimates to ICBC, it inflated the amount to over $3000! I sent my immaculately clean car to have paint work done on a monday. Went back to collect it that friday and noticed that the car still had scratch marks on it and was in a very, very dirty state, with very fine white dust powder on both the insides as well as the exterior of the car. The white dusts were especially bad on the whole front bonnet and there were white blotch marks on the tires. On top of that, the interior car mats were all very wet and water had also collected at various sections of the car. I asked the male receptionist to come out of the office and pointed out all these to him. He took a small rag and attempted to wipe off some of the water but refused to dry up the other areas, nor the mats nor the fine white dusts and said the fine dusts would blow off when I drive the car!!! As the male receptionist was clearly not prepared to entertain my concerns, I left words with him to get the boss, Doug, to call me as I had dealt with and had given the key to Doug when I brought the car in. The fine white dusts did not blow off when I drove it back! So I had to cancel my appointments the next day to bring the car to the professional car washs to have it cleaned to the state it was originally in. I did not hear from Doug the following monday, so I telephoned again around noon and asked to speak to Doug. Was told he was not around, then later in the conversation that he would not be in that day. I again made the request to have Doug call me and got the response that he would NOT call me. I then requested for Doug's phone number so I could call him but he refused to give the number. Up to today (over a week) I have NOT heard from Doug nor the office! Instead, I found that the company had, without my authority, debited my credit card for $300 without making any attempts to resolve the outstanding issues nor the courtesy to notify me of its actions nor return my car key!

I lightly hit a deer and still needed to replace a headlight and bumper. I reported a claim on Nov 7th and found PERFECTIONS AUTO. someone recommended me to perfections where they also received great service. It locates right downtown and there are tons of bus routes going through so even if you don't have a ride, don't worry!! After a claim, I got a call from DOUG on Nov 19th that all parts are ready to install. It was way quicker than I expected to get the service. It took a day and a half to replace the parts in the shop and now looks like a brand new car. And also DOUG did a vacuuming and washed my car. I am satisfied and appreciate their service.

Not only did they complete the repairs I had hired them to make but they fixed some small cosmetic issues I didn’t even know I had! Doug helped trouble shoot a problem with my steering on a repair that another shop did and advocated for me with icbc to make sure that I had an appropriate replacement vehicle. Fantastic service, and excellent quality. Installed a bumper that was estimated to take two days, in half of one and gave me a ride home after I dropped off the car for work. I was given their number by SG Power Motorsports and told to call regarding a paint job I needed to repair some unfortunate scratches on my brand new motorbike. I was told specifically to contact Doug, the owner, by the Service Manager at SG Power. (The fees for the repair were generously to be covered by SG Power.. I wanted to confirm that this was regular protocol and make sure that I was not going to be stuck with a bill at the end.. as I think most people would want to clarify). When I called the shop initially, I was greeted by Kevin who began to ask numerous questions regarding the nature of my business. I attempted to explain to him that I required a conversation with Doug and explained why. He refused to put me through to Doug, asking further questions that he had no business inquiring about. I was getting frustrated after extended minutes of this, and asked that Doug please return my call so I could discuss this with him. He reluctantly took a message. Doug called back the next day or so but unfortunately I missed the call. When I called back, I got Kevin on the phone again who, once again, was reluctant to simply take a message and have Doug return my call. He began screening my call heavily and asking questions again that he really had no business knowing or asking. When I asked why he was doing this, he became very defensive. I disengaged and asked him to please have Doug call me back, as I had missed his first callback. A few minutes later, this Kevin character calls me back and begins yelling at me about 'making his life difficult' and that he wasn't 'screening his calls'. I was shocked and immediately hung up. No return call from Doug, so I tried again a week or so later. Kevin again answered the phone and this time did not screen my call, but when I told him my name, he immediately cut me off and dismissed me. To this day, I have not received a call back from the owner, as I feel he was not given the message at all by his bulldog 'secretary'. I have been a business as an entrepreneur for many years and this level of customer service by this man Kevin is appalling. I cannot speak to the quality of the workmanship of the shop, as I was not given the opportunity to experience that. I would like to say that Doug would likely be horrified if he knew what his front-desk staff was doing... SG Power apparently sends quite a bit of business their way and they were equally appalled at hearing the news of how I was treated. I will be taking my business elsewhere, and ultimately, SG Power will be promoting the business of another shop in town as a result.

Should change name to IMPERFECTIONS. I took my Porsche Panamera to Perfections after someone backed into my car and crumpled my front bumper. Doug and co appeared skilled and experienced and got me in right away to replace and paint my bumper. When the replacement bumper arrived, I dropped the car off and the next day they informed me that it was all ready to go, so I picked up after work, at dusk. Seemed rushed to me, but they are the “professionals”. The next morning in daylight, upon inspection, the entire bumper was riddled with orange peel and paint ripples. Nasty. I immediately called Doug to notify him of the poor workmanship, and he told me to bring it in for a wet sand which I did. When picking up that same afternoon, it appeared that a toddler had been let loose with a sanding block on my freshly (horribly) painted bumper. Giant scratch marks and scraped patches over the heaviest orange peel areas, the sheen was gone, it was unlike anything I had ever seen. Still riddled with imperfections. I expressed my concern with the extremely botched sand job and said I would like a repaint. The following week he reluctantly got my car in there and this time kept it for an entire week. They said to pick it up on the Friday at 1pm. I went at 4pm and it was not done. Doug was kneeling in front doing his best to polish and hide the second terrible orange peel coat of paint. I told him again, this was one of the worst paint jobs I had ever seen. He instantly became irate and told me it was a suitable job and “why should it matter, I could just cover it up with 3M wrap” in a very hostile tone. The car had been driven. There was white paint shop dust all over the interior, white footprints on my door panels, white fingerprints in the door jams, and even white dust finger prints all over my rear seatbelts, as well as a large scratch on the back of the drivers seat from someone’s foot. Someone from the paint shop had been sitting in the back seat, buckled in. Very unnerving to think that 3-4 shop employees took a joyride in my Porsche. It was an absolute mess. To top it off he charged me the $300 deductible upon the original pick up, and when I complained about this shop to ICBC I was informed that my deductible had been waived weeks before I even brought the car in which Perfections would have known. Doug had taken my money so he wouldn’t have to wait to be reimbursed by ICBC, Instead I ended up waiting the 6 weeks for my reimbursement. I am attaching photos. You won’t believe your eyes. If you care about your vehicle at all please do yourself a favour and do not take it to Perfections.
