Car was mis-diagnosed first time around, $700 bill that didn't fix my problem. Took it back to give them a second chance, and second time around was quoted $300. The second bill, however, was another $800 with a week's delay, for a total of $1500. Nightmare experience, take your literally anywhere else... horrible work and even worse communication

I found the owner Jas Toora to be very experienced in auto mechanics as he had worked for years for the Victoria Honda dealer. The thing I did not like was the company was really understaffed for the high volumes of cars waiting for service. This lead to rushed, sloppy, poor quality control. It can never be good and cheap at the same time because the universe does not work that way. Spend the money to hire the correct staffing levels. One time the technician forgot to plug the coolant temperature sensor back in and my car over heated and stalled on a busy road for all to look at. The Jas Toora shop claimed to not know anything and then charged me again to refix their own mistake. I went elsewhere after that. My previous service shop also did the same sloppy thing and I left them for Toora, then I left Toora for another. I will leave the current car shop for another if they screw up too, etc.

Had a transmission leak . Was told 1000.00 ..they checked it found a bad line ..100.00 all fixed and good .. they could have done the 1000.00 dollar job and I would never have know ..honest shop ..worth it ..

I'm very glad we took the time to ask Jas to test drive our car after another shop claimed that we needed to make a repair. The work recommended by the other shop turned out to be a phantom problem and not needed at all. It almost seems like its an uncommon thing to find a reputable and competent mechanic that is also honest and fair - and that has been our experience with Jas Toora.

Exposing Proxy Stalking Organized Harassment

Just moved to Victoria from Ontario and my car needed an inspection and oil changes. My worst fear was taking my car into a mechanic shop where mechanic tampering could be an issue and charging me for repairs I don't need. One of my friend here recommended Jas Toora Automotive and said there is nothing to fear here! Jas Toora Automotive people are very authentic, honest, and hardworking mechanics I've come across. You can definitely count on and trust these mechanics. The people at the front desk, Jas and Pattrick are truly down to earth gentlemen who knows cars well due to their countless years of experience. While waiting there I was amazed to see how they greet and welcome each and every customer by name as they are part of a big family. I will highly recommend this shop to everyone.

I had to pay $100.00 to have them tell me what I already knew.... I won't be coming back, I trusted them to run the test and just let me know why my car is taking a while to start and why the engine light is on. But they took over an hour to tell me that my engine takes a while to start and the light is on. They said they would call me to tell me more but they didn't. The owner is friendly and kind but I can't go back to that sorta of service.. especially when I went to get an oil change and they were able to tell me that I just needed an oil change and changing my transmissions oil ridiculous!

Fixed my issue, but so expensive!!! Had an issue with my under-dash fuse panel. Before going there I went to a different shop and they said that I need to replace the fuse panel which will be approximately 350$ including the labor. Instead of replacing the whole panel, I went to Jas Toora thinking they can just check the fuses and replace them at a lower cost. Well, I didn't have to replace the panel but the labor cost was unbelievable. They charged me 650$ and they said it took 6 hours to do the job. They had to replace a couple of fuses and I can't believe it took 6 hours including finding the issue. Even for a DIY guy like me, it would take a maximum of 3 hours if I had all the tools. Anyway, I paid the money and not gonna go there in the future. I also had to replace my power mirror switch, which they said would cost 350$ for the parts from Toyota, and installing it will cost 60$ for a half-hour job. I ordered the switch online for 80$ and it took me 5 mins to replace the switch (5mins!!!)
