Just terrible. Avoid all together. Took 3 weeks to source glass, then 3 more weeks to fix a window and change tires with some very minor paint work. I was without my truck for 6 weeks. Then the best part " oh your truck was older so we are only covering part of the damage that took place during the vandalism. The rest is on you, sorry. " Then they tried to blame ICBC... sorry guys it was your call on that one. Should have just fixed it myself. Would have been much faster and only slightly more expensive. Crooks. Stay away.

The staff at Ferny's are professional and courteous. The body shop that does the work isn't so good. I brought my Tesla from out of town to have a very small dent fixed. The dent was initially caused by a tesla technician in Vancouver. However, since there was two things that needed to be fixed the body shop missed the subtle dent. It's hard to find but when you're cleaning your car you can't miss it.

Horrible service and communication, they over sprayed my entire car for simple a bumper repair. They also wouldn't give a loaner for 5/6 days they had my car when it was supposed to take one day! And there were cars sitting there but "only for ICBC claimed customers" I wouldn't recommend this shop to my worst enemy. Save your time, money and head ache.

Ferny's did an absolutely incredible job of replacing my car's bumper. They fitted me into their schedule ASAP, and were able to get it done even earlier than when I needed my car back for. They also repaired a couple of other, unrelated paint scuffs on my car for no charge, and vacuumed out the interior. My car has never looked so good. They are kind, beyond accommodating, and clearly care a lot about their customers. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Ferny’s Auto Body Shop can be summed up in three words : Terrible, terrible , and terrible. Avoid this place if you have the chance. They are not as good as they used to be. If you’re happy with poor worksmanship and terrible paint jobs, this is the place for you.

Three months and many stories. Still not repaired. Got a call to say the car is done and I could come pick it up. Surprise! It's missing pieces and the paint was pitted and mismatched. Happy to revise my review if they are able to make it right, but 100 days and counting and still without my Mercedes.

Waste of time, unprofessional, unfriendly. Mon, June 21 My car got broken into. Ferny's was on the list registered with ICBC and had a high rating. I called them; they said stop by. They looked at my car, said they would order parts, said they'd call the day of or the next day to let me know when the parts would be in. They didn't. Wed, June 23 I called. They still didn't hear back about the parts. We booked. Wed, July 7 When dropping off my car, the guy had no idea who I was even though I had an appointment. He scrambled around looking for papers. Eventually, he found one with writing on it and used White-Out Tape on it. He got me to fill it out and sign it. He had no idea how long it would take. (He could have at least said a time frame. It didn't have to be a specific date.) He said to call back later. They said it should be ready on Fri, July 9 by 5, and that they would call the day of. Fri, July 9 They called at 4 pm and confirmed it will be ready for pick up by 4:30. I arrived shortly after 4:30 and waited behind a customer. Some customer came inside and went in front of me and they served him, even though I was sitting there first for about 20 minutes. He claimed he was there first and left. I asked, they said he was waiting there for 2 hours and that some clients show up really early. There were two more sets of customers waiting behind me. There were two ladies working at the front. The elderly lady eventually said, "who are you?!" I explained my name, my vehicle, etc. She finally got me to sign and pay. She said to look for my car outside of the building. It was not there. She didn't know where it was. Now it was after hours. She phoned around and said that they should be finished soon. The elderly lady was then alone. I waited more. Eventually, she called again. She said they were on their way with my car soon and that "everybody waits until last minute to pick up their vehicles on Friday." Why would it matter if I showed up on time, before closing, and THEY didn't have my car finished in time, by 4:30/5, Iike they said they would?! I finally got my car back. They said they did auto-detailing, but my trunk wasn't vacuumed, there were leaves and twigs still in the deck lid hinges. I left there. I didn't get home until 6:45 that day.

I took my car here for front end repairs and they did not hook up the radiator correctly and my car overheated on the way to Sidney. If they would have tested it out, they would have found this problem which could have had serious implications. Otherwise they were nice enough...

Excellent service, very reasonable prices. My rear bumper was extremely dented, and I thought I was going to be stuck getting a whole new bumper. They managed to work it back into shape, and it literally looks like new! I can't recommend them enough. After spending thousands of dollars at Rand in the past for subpar results, Ferny's was a welcome change.

What an amazing auto body shop ! Honestly, forget going anywhere else. Curt and Carolyn handled everything from start to finish after our car accident, and we are so grateful to them. They went out of their way to help us through this difficult time and make it so much easier than it could have been. We had not been in an accident for years, and they guided us through the whole process and kept us informed about what was happening with our car. Fernys painted my rear quarter panel a few years ago. All the clearcoat peeled off. They said it would cost $1000 to recoat it. I was surprised that they didn't stand behind their work. They have done other work for me that was excellent. I don't understand this.

This is a response from Ferny's to Brett Gray's unjustifiable review. Brett Gray brought his truck to us with numerous preexisting damages. The ICBC claim was for a big dent in his boxside, which was fixed beautifully and seems to be the only thing he doesn't have a complaint about. (There were no "missing clips" on the replacement wheel flare--the mudflap is held on by two clips on the underside and he said he had it at home but he never brought it to us to reattach--we even showed him this when he picked up his truck.) He was insistent the obvious unrelated damage on the front door was related to the damage on the rear side. The damage was put up for review and ICBC denied it (key scratch on front door vs. vehicle impact on rear side). The situation was fully explained to him but we feel this was the start of his grudge against us. We offered a fair price to refinish his front door which he turned down. The rear bumper step pad had to be glued on because the rear bumper was pushed in and peaked under the pad from a previous rear impact. We tried adjusting it at his *constant* insistence, but the bumper is heavy duty steel and the only way it would ever lay flat is if he replaced the bumper--this was explained to him as well. We estimated the repair would take 3-4 days and it ended up taking 4 with pickup on a busy Friday afternoon. As for his complaint about wanting to view his vehicle in the daylight, the repair was done in December and it had already been dark out for two hours, and paperwork needs to be finished up before the vehicle is released. Throughout the entire repair he was supplied with a brand new vehicle at no cost to him yet he still found something to complain about. There was no pleasing this customer. We even tried to resolve the situation after reading his poor review, but he was completely unreasonable.

...so I damaged my car when I was parking (bad time judgment...lol). Then I went to four different auto body shops. My quote ranges from $484-$600. Ferny's Auto Body Shop is the only shop that gave me an honest price. It cost me under $350 to fix my car. Also included a complimentary car was which is very usual for all auto body shops but this shop wash the inside of my car (scores!????) I have never went to an auto shop that wash inside of cars, only outside. That's a plus for me. Thanks to Ferny's Auto team, especially the lady by the computer.

I was blown away by how rude and unprofessional the receptionists were. I showed up on request to have my vehicle inspected and there was no room for me. Walked into the office after parking on the street to find both of the receptionists engaging in a prolonged shouting and name-calling contest with a customer. Which was questionable. Five minutes later as I decided to walk out and take my business elsewhere, a receptionist finally found time for me. After looking at my vehicle, she tried to claim that replacing the front fender on my truck would be "about a 9 hour job, because before priming and painting, the old fender needs to be cut out, and a new one has to be welded in." It's a mid-90's GM pickup; the fender is 100% bolt-on and can be swapped within an hour. So that was another red flag. At this point a traffic cop came up and asked respectfully for me to move my truck, and the receptionist proceeded to start picking a fight with him, swearing and calling him names and demanding that he "f*** off". Which was also questionable. After a prolonged wait with my vehicle we were told that she'd send us a quote in the evening. That was 8 days ago. I called yesterday to inquire as to the whereabouts of the quote that I was promised, and after a long hold (during which time I assume they tried to think of an excuse other than "we forgot about it"), I was asked to leave my number and was told that they would call me back within a few minutes. They never called me back. I called again today and was told condescendingly that they're "working on it", I'll "probably get it by the end of the week" and that I shouldn't expect to receive the quote so soon because "parts are very hard to find for such an old and outdated vehicle." Which would be reasonable except that I was told that it would be ready within a few hours and yet over a week later I still have not received it, and secondly it's a 4th gen GMC pickup, otherwise known as one of the easiest trucks in all of North America to find parts for. I only know this because I have bought several trucks' worth of parts for these vehicles; they're both cheap and plentiful. Shop crew were respectable enough. But due purely to the unbelievable level of rudeness, arrogance, condescension, and dishonesty I witnessed from the receptionists, I would take my vehicle to any other body repair shop on the island before returning to Ferny's.

That guy Brett must have gone to the wrong place. Ferny's does excellent work. It is a bit unconventional and if you are not flexible go elsewhere. The 2 women at the front desk are very capable and can assess your vehicle CURT the owner is very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. This is one of the busiest place in town for one reason: Quality of Service.

Very positive experience with Ferny's! My car got damaged quite badly by a truck and required good amount of work on several its sections. Folks from Ferny's got it back up and running in four days. Quality of the work was great, as it looked like if it was not damaged at all! I would recommend this Auto Body Shop in a heartbeat.

In addition, the person I was dealing with sent someone else in her place to talk about the issue and I never got so much as an apology. They're customer service skills are appalling. Very disappointed. I never contacted them despite their response to this review as Carolyn was the person who provided such appalling customer service.

My wife and I can't say enough good things about Ferny's. We've had two vehicles repaired there over the last few years, the most recent being an ICBC claim due to a tree falling on our truck while driving on East Sooke Rd. Every employee takes great pride in the work they do which is very much reflected in the quality of the repairs. Their prices are also very reasonable for small fixes/repairs. Brought my car in to get a new tail light installed. The process was super quick, excellent customer service and parts were very affordable. There was also a dent in the back bumper which caused a misalignment of the side panel and bumper. Both the mechanic and front desk woman spent at least 15 minutes helping me clip it back together at no extra cost. Definitely will be returning for all my repairs. Highly recommend this place!

I had my Passat in for an ICBC repair and was once again very pleased with the quality of repair. Work was also completed right on time. They also gave me the option of a normal rental car or their electric smart cars. Out of curiosity I chose the electric car. Was zippy and Fun. I have used their shop lots over the years for my motorcycles and vehicles. Including custom paint. Always been impressed and very good prices. Their new front estimating office on Douglas is great! Roll right in and lots of parking which can be hard to find downtown. Very Convenient. Highly recommend!

Very seldom do I write reviews but this place deserves one. EXTREMELY poor customer service! I took my truck here after a hit and run accident covered by ICBC. I had read some reviews about this shop so I decided to go ahead and roll the dice. From the very start their customer service made me doubtful... disorganized, slow, very wishy washy on timeline , etc. I use my truck for work so a definitive timeline was important, it ended up taking 4 full days instead of the promised 3 and that was only after repeated phone calls pushing them. I picked the truck up at 6pm, after waiting a hour at the shop as the truck wasn't ready at the re-promised 5pm. They attempted to have me sign the bill without seeing the truck agreeing I was satisfied. Luckily I wrote on it I would review in the light. Once I looked at the truck in the daylight it was very disappointing. Glued on bumper cap instead of in the bolt holes, several missed bolts along the fender flare,glue smeared around the emblem, etc. I called and informed them with little care from them..."oh,oops, just bring it back in". I since have made 3 appointments which when I came in there's no appointment on schedule so seeing that I need my truck I wasn't prepared to leave it for a few days as its fairly minor stuff left. I dropped my truck off this morning(3rd tried appt) and once again no paperwork or appointment on file. The man at the front said they should have it done today(promised 2-3 hours on the phone) I informed him I used my truck for work and needed it today. "Oh, hopefully someone can look at it this afternoon". I asked if someone could call me once it was done and he said no for me to call this afternoon to check in...won't even call the customer. I could go on but hopefully you get the idea. Very poor for ICBC claims, shotty job and beyond poor customer service. AVOID! Be aware if you leave a poor review they will contact you by phone to ask you why you wrote such nasty things and say you are lying about what happened.... They just keep proving my review right.

Took my car in for ICBC claim. There was some hiccup ,and it took an extra day for some minor mistake but they made sure everything was good after all. They cleaned outside / inside of my car super clean. They also painted/touched up some major scratches on my car without any exta charges. I'm beyond satisfied by these guys work!

I used Google reviews to try and decide where to take my car, so I thought I should share my experience for others. My bumper had a deep gauge in it as well as several large scratches. I took it to a competitor who quoted me $736. I thought I should check around, so I went up the road to Ferny's where they quoted me $336!! I was shocked by the difference in price, so I asked what he was planning to do to fix it and it sounded like the exact same thing. They booked me in for an appointment promptly and I got my car back the day after I dropped it off (they had to keep it overnight because of the nature of the repair). Now my bumper looks as good as new. I am so pleased! Ferny's seems like a shop that takes pride in service, quality, and honesty. Although I hope I never have to, I would take my car back there for any more auto body repairs.

Friends, family and myself have used Ferny's lots over the years.Workmanship has been great in the past. Recently it has taken longer for simple jobs to be completed. The front office girls were amazing and always happy to answer questions but now the office girls are short abrupt and not direct with answers. Sad because we all love the workmanship and prices. Hopefully the owner can rejunivenate his team to reflect his love for the company
