Absolute garbage service. Pointless to make reservations when they cannot honor them. They knew what time I was arriving they knew what plane I was on. No one called or emailed to tell me I would be sleeping on the floor waiting for them to open.

Because of difficulties I experience with a vehicle that had a malfunctioning key my days were lost trying to get service from Budget. As this was a weekend matters were made worst when everything fell back on me as to additional cost. If there is a deficiency in the vehicle with no fault of the renter it should be handled immediately without question by your representatives.

I considered my driving time in NB as a bit of respite time. Car was comfortable and the winter tires a must. I had no worries regarding car problems. Hello, I rented a car on October 8th at 11:30am from Jolene (she would not give me her last name) at the Moncton airport. and have never experienced such poor (and heartless) customer service. When I arrived to pick up the car Budget Avis's system was down and they were unable to process my credit card electronically so Jolene called to verify for the security deposit. She told me that my credit card was not approved. I asked her to try again and she refused. This exchange went on for 15 minutes while I continuously asked her to try again because I knew that my card had plenty of space. Finally, I called Mastercard and they said that there was no charge attempt on my card and that Jolene must have entered the numbers wrong. I relayed this information to Jolene and she rolled her eyes at me. I know this sounds ridiculous but, I too was shocked. My anxiety was making me shake and I knew I had to then get in a car and make the 3 hour drive to have Thanksgiving dinner with my family. I offered for Jolene to speak with the woman from Mastercard over my personal cellphone but she would not. Then she decided to try to call and verify by card again. This time, the person on the other line said that there wasn't a problem and that my card was fine to put the deposit on. This could have been resolved had she just tried again when I asked her to. Instead, it took over an hour before I was able to get on the road. Then, I called Natalie at Budget (same location) on my way to return the vehicle. I told her I would be a few minutes past 2pm. She said that my airmiles points rented the car until 2pm and that there was a 29 minute grace period. I delivered the car at 2:26pm and there was no one at the desk so the keys were left in the box. I even asked the man next to Budget to be my witness and he gave me a good laugh and said "no problem" like he knew what I was talking about with this woman's attitude. I was shocked to see my credit card had been charged $90. First, I only agreed to pay for a $25 upgrade (and signed a contract saying that) and second, I returned the car within the grace period time and should absolutely not have been charged. This costumer service is so frustrating. I know it is not a reflection of Budget as a whole because I have had excellent service from the folks at Dundas Budget in Toronto. This is absolutely the result of having a very unprofessional team working at the Moncton Airport branch. I'm sure that I'm not the only customer who has been treated this way by Jolene (last name unknown) and Natalie. In fact, according to the other reviews, it seems that others have had these experiences too. The nice men at Enterprise saw my exchange with Jolene on the day I picked up the car. They saw my eyes fill with tears out of frustration and offered to help me with a rental. Had I not have booked though Airmiles I would have torn up the agreement and taken them up on their offer. Next time I will be sure to rent with Enterprise at the Moncton airport.

Maintenance required light came on a day after renting at Moncton airport (-65oo plus ) km. Worrisome to say the least as was out in a very rural area. Called budget at airport she said not to worry that the mechanic probably forgot to turn off warning message. If so why was it a day later from pick up? No One at counter when returned at 3pm on Dec. 2

Excellent service on arrival the lady at the counter was very friendly fast and welcoming us to New Brunswick . The car was clean and ready to go. Upon return the gentleman was also very friendly and asked how we enjoyed our vacation and told us to have a safe flight home. We will Definitely rent from Budget again. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I had BMW Moncton get me a rental car from budget. I thought everything was covered from BMW as budget never went over anything about the extra insurance (which I would have taken if I was told I could) I signed where I was told and was hurried out the door. I ended up having a deer jump out in front of the vehicle causing minor damage and to me well BMW has this covered as they were the ones paying for it and must have had insurance for it. Well they didn't and budget said I declined the insurance, and now I'm stuck going through my insurance. I will never use budget again

I was very happy with the Chevy Cruze I was given to drive. Comfy and great on gas. Just wish they didn’t gough you on insurance. Instead of just having one fee it’s broken down into 3 separate ones and it’s highway robbery! My rental went from $550 to just shy of $900 for a week. I’m also glad I didn’t decide to prepay for gas and chose to fill before returning. The cost of filling it was less then they wanted to charge me, All in all, if I ever rent from budget again I’ll make DAMN sure I have my own personal insurance slip with me!

(Translated) Arrival at 10:35 pm on August 22 to collect my rental car already paid, with my 15 year old son and 5 large suitcases for our final installation in Canada. The person who received me, a woman, told me that she could not give me the car because the name on the credit card was that of my husband, I explained that in France the credit card was for a single account mine and that of my husband and but that on the BC we could only put one name (it was the card which was used for the rental payment!) short nothing to do !! She had an absolutely derogatory attitude as far as possible, not friendly, she did not look when she spoke to me, she did not care about my situation and I could stay sleep if I wanted !!! An absolutely intolerable reception ... she ended up throwing me the manager card saying that I could call her the next day at 9: am. I finally called at 11:30 pm an acquaintance who lives in shediac (20kms! !) who picked me up and dropped me off at my home in Dieppe. The next morning 7 km on foot! To go to my RBC bank to try to have a credit card in my name and finally have a car !! I told her about my misadventure of the day before she was ulcerated ... she ended up calling the Moncton office on main street and to solve the problem, paid me the taxi to join the agency to finally recover a car , I was very well received unlike the day before !!! And happy with my rental despite a day of delay and hassle! And the following Tuesday, a team of journalists following our life change in Canada suffered the same person at the airport !!! No car ???? for the same reasons ... it's just a question of nobody, I think this lady does not like her job, just does it out of necessity and I find it a shame because never again would I rent at BUDGET and certainly would not recommend it !!! A word to the wise (Original) Arrivée à 22h35 le 22 août pour récupérer ma voiture de location déjà payée, avec mon fils de 15 ans et 5 grosses valises pour notre installation définitive au Canada. La personne qui m'a reçu, une femme, m'a dit qu'elle ne pouvait pas me donner la voiture car le nom sur la CB etait celui de mon mari, j'ai expliqué qu'en France la CB etait pour un compte unique le mien et celui de mon mari et mais que sur la CB on ne pouvait mettre qu'un seul nom(c'était la carte qui a servi au paiement de location !) bref rien à faire !! Elle avait une attitude absolument désobligeante au possible, pas aimable, elle ne regardait pas en me parlant, elle n'en n'avait rien à faire de ma situation et je pouvais rester dormir si je voulais !!! Une réception absolument intolérable... elle a fini par me jeter la carte de responsable en disant que je pouvais l'appeler le lendemain à 9:am ..j'ai finalement appelé à 11:30pm une connaissance qui habite shediac (20kms!!)qui est venu me chercher et m a déposé chez moi à Dieppe. Le lendemain matin 7 km à pied !pour me rendre à ma banque RBC pour essayer d'avoir une CB à mon nom et enfin avoir une voiture !! Je lui ai raconté ma mésaventure de la veille elle en etait ulcérée...elle a fini par appeler l'agence de Moncton rue main et à régler le problème, m'a payé le taxi pour rejoindre l'agence pour enfin récupérer une voiture, j'ai été très bien reçue contrairement à la veille !!! Et contente de ma location malgré une journée de retard et de galère ! Et le mardi suivant, une équipe de journalistes qui suit notre changement de vie au Canada a subi la même personne à l'aéroport !!! Pas de voiture ???? pour les mêmes raisons... c'est juste une question de personne,je pense que cette dame n'aime pas son job, le fait juste par nécessité et je trouve cela bien dommage car jamais plus je ne louerais chez BUDGET et ne le conseillerait certainement pas !!! (Translated) I booked in June 2017 and June 2018. Both times, I had a superb vehicle, almost new, being upgraded. The price was good, really competitive, especially in view of the quality of the vehicles. The service was quick when picking up the vehicle, even quicker when removing it. I enjoyed the exchanges with the staff, even if I would have appreciated having someone speaking French. If I return on vacation to the Maritimes and the price remains competitive, I will definitely choose this agency again. (Original) J'ai réservé en juin 2017 et en juin 2018. Les 2 fois, j'ai eu un véhicule superbe, quasi neuf, en étant surclassé. Le tarif était bon vraiment compétitif, au vu de la qualité des véhicules notamment. Le service était rapide à la prise de véhicule, encore plus rapide à la dépose. J'ai apprécié les échanges avec le personnel, même si j'aurais apprécié d'avoir quelqu'un parlant français. Si je reviens en vacances dans les Maritimes et que le prix reste compétitif, je rechoisirai certainement cette agence.
