DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!!! I rented from Dollar at the airport, and the display was malfunctioning, so I arranged to exchange it at the Scarborough location. They tried to give me a lesser car, and then gave a car that wasn't in perfect shape. They got me to sign the damage report before we even looked at the car, and then when I told them about the scuffs and the damage, and said for them to write it on the report, they blew me off, and were very rude. Now, months later, I get a letter from a collection agency saying I damaged the car. I've been on the phone for hours over the last month, trying to get the right person to fix this. No luck. Just transferred to the Philippines, who says they can't help me. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!!

I got a great deal on line but when I turned up at their office the service was poor and very unprofessional ..I have a temporary driver license that stated on it valid without picture id and they still insist that I have to show them a picture id that I can't rent without a picture id when I have used this same temporary drivers license to rent from Enterprise without any issues also I was in Jamaica and had to rent a vehicle and the rent-a-car company there had no problem with my id but these employees at this particular Hertz were insisting that I showed them a picture id not only that but they were just awful.

We've booked cars here multiple time now and we consistently enjoy great service at better prices compared to other places nearby. The staff were helpful and provided what they can for us. We will continue to rent cars from them for as long as we need one. Hands down the best price on car rentals without feeling like the car and service has been compromised to save on costs. It's as good as others can get. Being so close to walk to a subway station is a big plus, too.

AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. The majority of reviews here are fake. The staff at this location cannot be trusted. As we were picking up the car, we were warned by two other people dropping off their cars that the staff would try to add extra charges and fees. We took photos of the car before and after to be careful not to get charged with fake claims of damage. But lo and behold when the final charge cleared, there was a late fee added because the agent had deliberately changed our original Travelocity booking from 11:30pm to 11:30am. This was not noticed at the signing of the contract and allowed them to charge us for an additional late fee even though we dropped off the car 2 hours before our original reserved drop-off time. The agent verbally confirmed everything for the 2 day rental so there is no way it was not intentional. I even wrote that we took photos on the return envelope otherwise I am sure they would have found other ways in which to add additional charges.

Very nice guys and always give you what you want if they have it in stock of course. I have rented it from them few times and many times from Hertz. They give you hassel free good-bye. But always make sure to take pictures before you leave the premises. Some will try to push damage charges on you. Hertz didnt do it to me but some other companies did.

At this location first time of my rental experience I never see bad service like this, when I come and asked for rent car guy given me double price like in the web site on the same location, l am take exit reserve online and come back to pick and finally I have good price (I need good price because it’s rent for minimum one week), not sure the name of the Indian guy at the counter no do I care, and when I walked in the agent didn't even greet me. No customer service, no friendly greeting, I wait maybe half hour to pickup car. He even tried to get me to sign the inspection form without inspecting the vehicle (car was dirty, no vacuum and bad smell inside). Next day my one tire lost pressure and I come back and asked what I must doing (before l check a vehicle l didn’t find nothing to help me to fixed problem no tire, no inflator car was empty) and this guy tell me it’s my problem after big discussion he send me at one shop for fixing this and I spent lots of time to fix problem, and as result I have problem at my work. Next problem was after one week I come back to extended rent and guy given me answers it’s no impossible and I must take another car (price was double) but after discussion l call for online service and one girl fixed this about 2 min, for the same rates. And the last problem was after one week more l come back to change vehicle because I fill some problem with car (maybe brakes, and service light on dashboard) and I have the same answer from this guy he didn’t care about this, only he telling me when you didn’t happy with this car returning back the car but we didn’t have another, for this reason l drive to Pearson airport and quickly change car and continue my rent, but I spent time and money to fix this guy cheap service. I WILL NEVER TAKE RENT FROM EGLINTON AND MIDLAND LOCATION AGAIN!!!!

The customer service is horrible. I booked a car the day before and when I went to pick it up they said I’m not eligible to use their services. I mean the least you can do is tell me that on the phone And not make me go through the struggle of going to the store and finding out I can’t get the car. Not sure the name of the Indian guy at the counter nor do I care, had a reservation for today March 12th and when I walked in the agent didn't even greet me, just starred aimlessly. No customer service, no friendly greeting, it seemed I was an annoyance coming to rent a vehicle. He even tried to get me to sign the inspection form without inspecting the vehicle. Although my employer absorbed all the costs for the rental I will NEVER rent from this location again. #BeProfessional.

Great experience and price for mini van. Booked a van online and arrived early Saturday morning to pick up. Was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Appreciated the walk around the vehicle and walk-thru of any questions. The van was clean and well maintained

Very bad experience. During extending rental (initially started at airport location) they offered me the SAME price, how ridiculous!!! First they talked in their language (suppose Hindi) in front of me, and tried to convinced me that I have to pay that price since I'm driving better car (which I get due to my Hertz status). Try to avoid this location ,check out Don Valley or some other ;)

No customer service. Be aware that their policy is to charge an extra day if you do not return the vehicle within their store hours. The after hours drop box is only for key drop off. Does not mean they will not charge you for the additional day. They also cannot email you your receipt, you must go physically to their location to pick it up. I will never rent from hertz again. An update: I had already called customer service to ask about their return policy and the lady said they couldn't do anything for me. I asked to speak with a manager in which their response was that the manager would tell me the same thing. And there was never any active manager on site and that I could leave my number and someone will call me within 48 hrs. I never received a call back. My sentiments remain unchanged. Their policy is to charge an extra day if you do not return it before their store closing hours. You must be a gold member to have your receipt emailed to you. Why should I have to pay for my receipt to be emailed to me? Enterprise emailed my receipt to me with no questions, no extra cost.

I needed a car for 1 day. Booked the night before and got a good deal compared to other nearby locations. I interacted with two friendly guys Praba and Kablan, both made my experience preferable. Although they were short on staff, they managed to squeeze in the pick up and drop off from the nearby train station. The driver, Yoga, was also a friendly fella. The car condition was excellent, I got an upgrade, and the transaction was quick. Made my meeting on time! When I am back to that area, I know where to book.

I've been renting with Hertz for past 4 years now and this location is by far the best one out of all. The customers service and the helpfulness of the staff are exceptional. All 3 of the agents are great, can always rely on them for a car even during busy seasons. Would 100% recommend to rent from this location

Shocked! There were so many issues with this location but I will just speak about one. A friend of mine and I had gone in to rent a car and was told that there were no cars available. We had noticed an suv type vehicle in the lot. Hours later, we came back and noticed the very same vehicle in the lot. I called and enquired about a vehicle and was told that there were no cars available but there was an suv if I wanted it. Told the man at the desk that I would call him back. Seconds later, my friend called and asked if there were any vehicles, the man at the desk asked for my friends number and told my friend that they would get a call back. Still no call. Why lie about whether you have an available car or not!?!?

If you want to get completely ripped off and on top of that get HORRIBLE customer service, then come rent your car from this location. Just don't rent from Hertz at all, the whole company is a joke. But this location in particular is the worst. And the manager Anthony is condescending and does not know how to treat his customers and is not aware that we are the ones who pay his bills. When we went to pick up our reserved car, there were no cars at the lot because they had given them all away. Then Anthony tried to make the situation better by offering to not charge us for a service we did not have in the first place. I wouldn't even call that mediocre customer service.

My very first google review ever. DO NO RENT FROM HERTZ 2507 EGLINTON AVE EAST LOCATION!!! I had a 24 hour SUV rental which I returned the next day at 7:50am. I received a call that same afternoon saying I needed a professional cleaning service. I disagreed with the customer representative as only the front two seats were used and 2nd/3rd row was untouched. The representative threatened to BAN me from future HERTZ car rentals over this disagreement and hung up the phone on me. I DID NOT appreciate their BULLY TACTICS! Called back immediately to get my email invoice. Upon inspection of my receipt I noticed a few extra hundred kilometers on the vehicle I rented - 1173KM TOTAL FOR 24 HOURS (I had unlimited kilometers so I wasn't concerned). I suggest HERTZ headquarters do an internal GPS audit on the matter. OVERALL, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I have reserved a car last June 11 for the following Saturday, June 20 until June 23. I called just to make sure that the car will be available for that day. The customer service that I received during the call was the worst. This guy at the Scarborough - Eglinton and Midland, 2507 Eglinton Ave East locations put my in hold for around 8 minutes, after that I decided to call again and told me to call in 10 minutes because he was busy, so I did that. Then, he was just in a bad mood answering my questions, making me feel really bad because I was asking about the disinfection process for the current situation with the pandemic, COVID 19. His answer was: This is not your business, we will disinfect the car. This is not the right manner to deal with a customer. I am just worried because my family will be in that car for 4 days. I was wondering how to make sure of the availability of that vehicle, but I turned the worst experience ever. I am just angry and disappointed. I was trying to make a deposit to secure the car, but he just hung up. I hope my reservation is okay without issues that day.

I would not recommend this location to anyone. The staff is rude and inexperienced, they’re so quick to blame the customer. I recently rented a car from them and when I returned it the employee had told me that there was new damage to the car. I explained to him that I wasn’t aware of this as it was not a result of me and could have occurred for a number of reasons, because someone clearly had hit the car. But the employee insisted that I had to pay for it. I will not go back to any hertz location because of this experience and I would not recommend them to anyone.
