I went to Elgin Chrysler looking into purchasing an older Jeep they had on the lot. I ultimately decided that I didn't want that specific Jeep. At that point Jamie the wonderful sales rep checked their inventory at their sister site in Barrie and low and behold found a spectacular option for me. We moved on through with financing with Chad and once approved which was efficient and well structured through their finance team. I signed contract and had my car shipped down within 4 days of my original visit. They detailed and prepared my lovely 2019 (hella yellow)Jeep Sport S and I cannot be happier. I must emphasize that from start to finish my experience at this dealership was spectacular. The attention to detail, the follow up and follow through was impressive. I WAS a Chevy girl but I am 100% Mopar now. Thank you.

Called twice today, talked receptionist and service about making a service appointment, and was sent to this extension...wait close to 10 minutes each time, eventually giving up. This is the first time I have issues with booking appointments here.

Replacing of radio was taking longer than expected as tech had to take the dash off to install new amplifier. I was not informed that it would take a lot longer, and only found out after I had been there 1.25 hours and asked how much longer. Then, after my car was returned, my family member discovered that one of the arms for the glove box was broken (snapped off) and I was not informed. I also now have the odometer flashing every time I am driving the car. I did call the next day to state that there is a new problem and about the broken arm for the glove box. I am now having to make another trip to the repair shop for that to be looked at. This is not the first time that I have brought my car into the dealership, only to have something that was worked on there lead to another problem. Car needs brakes, but I am not sure if I want them done at this dealership.....

Purchased a used vehicle in Feb, did not need to turn on the AC until the weather warmed up, it did not work, the dealership would not even meet me half way with the cost of replacing it, they quoted me over $1500.00 to replace the system, they were very rude and did not try to come to any compromise, and I never did recieve a call from the General Manager. I took my vehicle to another mechanic who was shocked at the quote they gave me, charging me for seals that already came with the kit, close to $700 for the compressor when I was able to get a brand new one for $380.00, and no extra for the seals, charging me 5 hours in labour when it took my mechanic less than 2 hours, the entire system was replaced for $580.00 compared to their outrageous quote of $1500.00,, word of warning do not take their word for it that every thing is in good working order,, to pay $8000.00 for a vehicle that was advertised as having an AC , guess I should have taken it back when the heat shield lost a bolt less than 30 days after I purchased it,, how did that get missed in a so called safety,, never will deal with this buisness again and I will cetainly let others know how badly they tried to rip me off. All I want now is my winter tires back that I paid storage for and I will never deal with them again

A story of my experience... I found my Jeep from a Car Gurus email Thursday night and emailed the dealership asking for more information. This car was a 3 hour drive away, so I wasnt covinced I would be able to make it work. 'Who buys a car without seeing or test driving it first?' I told myself. I was extremely lucky to have Wayne White who is a salesman at Elgin pick up the phone Friday morning. He started off giving me fantastic news about the condition of the Jeep. He even gave me his personal cell number to make things easier. We were texting and calling back and forth a few times on Friday. Wayne was sending info, pics and video. I was in turn asking more and more questions. After a breif negotiation we came to an agreement in price, and buy Saturday at lunch time... I put a deposit down on the Jeep I've been dreaming about for 25 years. Wayne made me feel very confident about my decision. After patiently waiting a couple days we were able to get the licensing done and arrange a delivery much closer to me so I could avoid that hour drive. By Thursday i was driving my Jeep. I will never forget the experience i had with Wayne and Elgin Chrysler. Together they made this process so easy for me. Even after the sale Wayne is still providing amazing customer service. I wish I would have made the drive just so I could shake his hand. Forever in the Jeep family!

Earlier in the year, we were the proud owners of a brand new Jeep Cherokee Sport. We loved the vehicle. The fates decided that was not to last and in October, my wife was in a pretty serious car accident. We ended up writing off our Jeep. It was at this point that Mike Vecchio stepped up to the plate, making sure we understood every step of the process from their end. They helped with every concern we had, and at the end of the day we ended up in an even better vehicle than we started. My wife is on the mend now, and Mike (and the rest of the staff as well) played a critical role in helping us get our life back on track during a very difficult time. Deeply Disappointed My husband and I are return customers. We purchased our Jeep Grand Cherokee from Elgin and our first experience was so positive we recently decided to purchase a Jeep Compass from them. Our experience this time was extremely stressful. Our new vehicle had scratches and imperfections, which were difficult to see in the rain. When we picked up the vehicle and noted the scratches we were told to take it home, wash it, polish it, and if the marks were still there bring it back. We brought it back and the manager suggested letting the detail department work on the imperfections and then they would apply a paint protectant. After dropping it off we got a call saying they couldn't apply the protectant over the polish, which was what we were told to do. After discussions with the manager he said 90% of the cars on his lot have imprefections and scratches and apparently we are the first to complain. I explained that if I wanted a car with scratches then I would have bought something used. The team at Elgin pass the buck by blaming it on the freight train it rode on from Mexico, the delivery driver... The bottom line is they are ordering these cars in to sell on their lots and they should stand by their product and make it right. We left the dealership with nothing but an offer to bring it back in 6 months and they will try putting the protectant on then. We aren't waiting 6 months for the problem to be rectified and we won't be returning, nor will my extended family that used the dealership for service. The sales team is quick to convince you that the company stands by their product, but as we found out today, this simply isn't true.

Google won't let me give zero stars, worst place I have dealt with for ANYTHING. . . EVER!!!!! edit: I did meet with Brent Kidder and tried to talk to the owner of the dealership as well. He's just trying to let everyone know that although we did meet, he doesn't know who I am. He didn't want to do anything when the problem was happening but after - on Google - he's willing to do something ( at least he wants everyone else to know that he's very interested in "salvaging my faith" )!! My problem was finished, literally, less than 24 hours after I contacted the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council ( OMVIC ). Once St. Thomas Chrysler knew they were involved, everything was taken care of. From the OMVIC website: As the regulator of motor vehicle sales in Ontario, OMVIC’s mandate is to maintain a fair and informed marketplace by protecting the rights of consumers, enhancing industry professionalism and ensuring fair, honest and open competition for registered motor vehicle dealers. Just noticed his misleading reply now after 2 years! lol

After pointing us to the right vehice (cherokee), Devon was able to help us get the most for our money by finding us exactly what we wanted in a 2016 so that we could take advantage of the gereous incentived in December. He service was so divine that after talking with him my in-laws are now the proud owner of a Renegade Trailhawk, and my brother (after becoming enchanted with a RAM) is now living the dream as well. It didnt stop with just the sale, as Devon has been a wonderful resource if we had any questions and he has also stayed on top of the accessories that were backorder and let us know the second they were ready for pickup. He also knew more about the electronic features in the vehicle than the engineers that designed them, and he was thorough in making sure it was all explained to each of us (even when we did a joint pickup) so that we arent missing out on a thing. I couldn't recommend dealing with Devon enough, he is one of the most thorough and detail oriented sales people out there and he made sure he worked for you to get you the most bang for very buck!

I have only had one experience at the service garage here. First and last. If you are a woman do not take your vehicle here for any kind of service. They will not listen to you! I had all the cluster lights stuck on in my Ram and brought it here to be fixed. They would not even look at until I purchased a new battery for $380. Even though I highly doubted a bad battery would cause the cluster light to stay on, I finally caved and bought the new battery they called and said that fixed the problem. I go there to pick it up and the first thing I see is that the cluster lights were STILL stuck on!! Now my new battery that I didn’t even want or need has been drained as well! 1300 later (thankfully my warranty covered that part) the H-vac module was replaced! I asked for my old battery back and they didn’t give it to me even though I paid the $18 core charge.

Every company live by the standards they incorporate, simply because they recognize the value of their customers. Recently, when I took my vehicle to this dealer to have my winter tires removed, I left the building not only disappointed, but rather astonished how a dealership service department would lower their standards by refusing to be accountable for their own mistakes. In this situation, when eventually the business obliviously admits to committing an error and issues no apology to the customer, certainly the morality of those involved has to be in question.

Service sucks. They wouldn't even check my lug nuts when I said there was something rattling in the front end. They wanted me to book an appointment. I went to the mufflerman & a guy came out & torqued all my lug nuts & fixed the problem. 3 out of five nuts were ready to fall off & the other 2 were loose. If my tire fell off I would have sued them. No vehicle should leave the lot unsafe.

Having issues with rough ride and they won't fix. Intermittent issues with rattles and my cruse control and they refuse to fix as it wasn't an issue at that time. My steering wheel is leather is falling apart and they said there is no issue. Only will fix what I pay for and not warranty work. Needless to say it will be going to a different dealer to get fixed correctly.

In late 2019 i went in to have my oil change for my truck completed. While there, it was recommended that i het my brake service completed based on the mileage for my vehicle. The gentleman at the service desk said he would rotate the tires for free as well. After completing the oil change and brake service i asked if the tires were rotated and unfortunately they were not. I phoned the dealership to book an appointment on Monday morning and had them book me for an oil change and transmission fluid cleaning along with patching a tire on June 4, 2020. O reminded the same gentleman of the tire rotation mossed from the previous appointment and he acknowledged due to the brake service he would complete this free of charge on the 4th. After paying my bill and getting home i realized that i was charged for the tires to be rotated. This was quite unfortunate because something that was promised twice and being billed for ensured that service at this location wasn’t in mind for their customer.

When I think of Elgin Chrysler I think of Aaron Ambrose. Aaron is a fantastic sales rep that understands the value of creating long term relationships. I bought a Jeep from Aaron about 3 years ago and a few weeks back a Dodge Ram. His support prior to sale, during sale & after sale is outstanding. Aaron is eager to answer any questions you have and is focused on how to best help you, NOT HIM. As a technical sales rep and past sales manager, this is lost on many sales guys. Products today are commodities, relationships are what creates loyalty not brands. Aron will not push you to make a sale, instead he wants you to be informed and make the best decision for you. He has helping me many times over the last few years, even when a sale was not pending. He took the time to get to know me and understood my likes and dislikes. For example as a traveling sales rep myself I am always on the road and in front of clients. Aaron knows this make it difficult to catch me on the phone. So Arron would work with me via email & text during his work hours and outside of them to set up test drives, pass information and get me what I needed. I am not an easy person to make happy. I ask the tough questions and a lot of them, especially when its a sales guy across the table. However Aaron was able to overcome this because he took the time to listen to what I had to say and then found a solution that would work for both parties. I also like the fact that I catch him at the grocery store and around town, its important for me to support locally. To sum this up, Aaron has accomplished something many do not. 4 stars for the job that was done to my car, the mechanics fixed my car early had it ready to go early I had no issues with the garage part of my experience . Overall customer service was lacking. I tried to call in to book my appointment and the computer answered once and my call went no where. Called 3 time before someone answered. Walked in in the morning and the Customer Service Representative (CSR) yelled through her office door for our entire convo until she had to go to the printer ... Elgin Chrysler left a message with me and I was unable to return the call, no one answered... I reached out through text. I had arranged a time for the curtesy vehicle as it was stated on the form... CSR was unaware and I had to rebook my curtsey vehicle, I had spoken to 2 people before ... I had a code because my cruise control was not working... no one mentioned it to me... 0 stars for customer service. If I have to have dealership work done again, I will go to London.

buyer beware, at first you go into to dealership, the sales person we dealt with is very sly, the sales manager and used car manager are very sly, there was a very cold vibe and uncomfortable, I listened to another client deal and the guy was getting hosed on his trade in and hope that client walked like we did. Just purchased a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 Classic and dealt with Paul McClenaghan and it was such a great experience I wanted to share. Paul is very passionate about the brand and the dealership. He worked tirelessly to find me the truck that met my needs. He was much more interested in ensuring I was happy and in getting me the vehicle that was perfect for me vs just closing a deal. Where they also excel is after the deal closed and I dealt with Nick, he wasnt pushy on trying to sell me on all sorts of extras but instead focused on what extras met my needs (etc extended warranty). Initially, I loved my experience of buying my car at Elgin Chrysler. If I based my review solely based on my purchasing experience it would be a 4/5 star experience. The sales staff was great and they showed genuine care for getting my wife and i into a better vehicle at reasonable payments. But I had my car in for service recently, after the experience I had bringing my car back for service it is safe to say that I will NEVER bring my vehicle back there for service or purchase my next vehicle from there. I had called to book a service appointment for a tire swap and oil change as well as 2 issues I had in the vehicle. I was told that 2 issues that I had with my car were covered under my “extended” warranty over the phone when I asked about the work that needed to be done. Upon arrival I was told that the work was not covered under my “extended” warranty and that they had an alignment on special and the service advisor “highly recommended” that I have one done. I had originally agreed to the alignment but then after thinking about it for 5 minutes I went back in to inform them that I don’t want the alignment done if my other repairs are not covered under warranty. After waiting over 3 hours for the service to be completed, I was charged for my repairs and they still charged me for the alignment that I had told them I didn’t want done. At this point I was ready to leave and didn’t want to argue with the staff so I paid and left. 15 minutes after I left the dealership the 2 issues I had wanted fixed were not actually fixed. So I was lied to about the issues being fixed by the “service expert” that was handling my file. Such a shame that even in these times that quality service cannot be upheld and that customers get taken advantage of. I highly suggest you go anywhere else for your automotive needs.

Elgin is very convenient for me and some of there service has been fine. After getting my vehicle back from service the other day my oil pressure seemed to be acting differently. I called the service department and I was told that what I noticed was the viscosity difference from the used oil and the new oil. Well maybe a little but I wasn't convinced. I called a couple of dealerships in London and one actually talked to one of there mechanics who told me I had a variable pressure oil pump in my 3.6 l 6 cylinder. This seemed to explain what I was seeing more than the viscosity explanation. Then I noticed paint bubbling on the top of the trucks right front fender. The truck is a 2015 with 53000 km and should not have rust on it yet.. A body shop told me the fender would need replacing and to talk to the dealership. I went to Elgin and they told me I should go to a dealership with a body shop. It is a shame the dealership most convenient to me keeps sending me away.

I will my experience is mixed for an oil change and warranty work on the brakes. The oil change was a disaster. After returning home and discovering a major oil leak on my garage floor. According to the service advisor it was from a defective filter. My Grand Cherokee has only 39K. It is in meticulous condition. There is a stain on my concrete driveway. My garage floor seems to be OK. The floor was professionally Diamond epoxied. The dealer redid the oil change and cleaned the floor and tried to clean the driveway. A stain remains, albeit somewhat faded. The dealer detailed the car and did the unercarraige twice, to clean residual oil spillage. Mr. Kidder said he will do whatever is necessary to satisfy me.

I live in Toronto but recently purchased a used Hyundai Genesis from Elgin Chrysler in St. Thomas, my experience there could not have been better or more worth the 2 hour drive. The price was definitely a fair price and the sales person Jason DaSilva bent over backwards to ensure I was comfortable with my purchase; even going as far as to get permission from the previous owner of the car to speak to me to answer any questions I had. I had a lot of concerns buying used and was re-assured prior to the purchase that any issues I have with the car after purchase would be handled by the dealership. I was less than convinced but now that it has been over a month after purchase the dealership has definitely proven to me that they stand by their word. Any issues I had with the car the dealership has offered support on. Scott the service manager even went as far as to mail me a wheel lock from his own car that he knew would definitely work on mine. The car buying experience from Elgin Chrysler has surpassed my expectations and I would highly recommend them and Jason DaSilva to anyone in the area or even within a day’s trip.

If I could give a negative star I would! Elgin Chrysler replaced my radio and I had issues from the time the new one was installed. I returned once because my vehicle battery died for no reason (before my 60,00kms) at that time I asked them to repair the radio, they did not. I recently brought it back in as the problem still persists and my extended warranty is almost up, once again the issue has not been repaired, but “Scott” was happy to tell me it’s my problem and that he’d be happy to price me a new one. I have not had a wonderful experience to be honest. I thought I was sold a Chrysler/dodge warranty but turns out it was a 3rd party. Only Elgin will cover the warranty, which isn’t too helpful now that I’m 1 1/2hrs away. Service isn’t helpful at all. The service advisor has 0 people skills and makes you feel like a nuisance for being there. Techs also seem like they don’t want to work on the van. Only positive about the place is Scott (service manager) he is good at putting out fires created by those under him. Can I recommend this place- NOPE I ADVISE STRONGLY AGAINST GOING HERE... unfortunately. Grew up in st t and use to clean the dealership as kid with my dad... not so positive views now

I'll summarize my experience by saying that I was left on the side of the road at 15 minutes before close on a Friday night while I was out of town, alone & asking for assistance. The service manager, (Scott Cushman), refused to advise what would happen if I was towed to a dealership that was closed. I was out of town and had nowhere safe to stay and no way to get to somewhere safe. He would ONLY say call the towing company. He suggested I rent a car or get a hotel but offered me no way to get there. When I asked him for the business hrs of the nearest dealership he didn't know. When I asked him for the phone number, (I only have a flip phone no access to internet), he REFUSED to look it up for me. When I became frustrated & told him I thought he wasn't being helpful, he literally started screaming at me that he WAS helping me! Over and over and over... I really wanted to let someone, like the owner, know that his Service Manager left a woman in a vulnerable position, with a broken down vehicle, with limited ability to find a dealership as evening approached. I wanted to know how he'd feel about his his wife or daughter being treated that way in crisis. So I sent a personal email to Daniel Dale asking to meet with him. He gave me another persons name (Brent Kidder), to email since he was "rarely at Elgin Chrysler" . ** in hindsight, he didn't care. I sent an email to Brent Kidder 5 days ago and haven't received a response. I would have preferred to talk to someone directly, (and privately), about this but I don't believe they are genuinely interested in satisfying their customers once they get the sale. It's obvious to me that the only thing they will listen to is the lack of a future sales from my family & I. On a positive note, the service manager of the Cambridge dealership gave me a 24 hr number at Chrysler Canada to call for advice & the 800# for roadside assistance. Furthermore, she assured me that I wouldn't be left on the side of the road in Cambridge and gave me her personal cell phone number in case of emergency. So in general I would advise against buying a Chrysler, if you do decide to buy one, BUY IT IN CAMBRIDGE!!!!

I purchased a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara brand new, I paid for the undercarriage to be protected against rust, and have since had it sprayed from Krown for rust, but I recently noticed rust about 2 inches in length with the paint flaking off on the rocker panel on the rear passenger side, it is under where the strap goes across to hold the door on, it clearly is a defect in the paint, but was told something hit it causing the paint flake off and rust, first off what can hit it when it's covered by the strap and if it was hit would it not just be a chip, why would the paint be flaking? Anyway they said this isn't covered under warranty, now I have a 3 year old $45,000 vehicle that is rusting...Great Customer Service....Not!

Knowing the owner of another Chrysler/Dodge dealership, we were told that as a favour we would be treated like family. We were told there would be complete transparency as we understand that a Dealership is a business and there is some money that needs to be made in order to stay open but would not bleed us (the customer) for "as much as they could get". We drove over an hour from our home town to meet with a seasoned salesman that we had spoke to on the phone. Thinking the deal should only take 20-30 minutes at the most to complete....at the hour mark, we were still more $$$ than my local dealership (Elgin Chrysler) had the vehicle advertised online. Feeling disgruntled, as this was not the type of discussion I had understood was going to take place, I left my wife to continue talks and went to call Elgin Chrysler. Connecting with Jeff Lauzon at Elgin Chrysler, I explained my whole scenario. Within 3 minutes he had convinced me to head back to my hometown and go in and meet with him. Staying open on a Saturday, well after 5pm as we drove back, Jeff did not disappoint. Within 5 minutes of sitting down we had agreed on a 2017 Grand Caravan - LOADED with more options that the previous dealer at an amazing price we could not refuse. The transparency of dealing with Jeff Lauzon was amazing. There was an agreed mutual benefit for both us and the Dealership. THIS IS THE WAY BUSINESS IS SUPPOSED TO WORK!! I don't believe we spent more than 40 minutes inside the Elgin Chrysler from making the deal with Jeff, to going over the warranties and such to signing the papers and picking up the van ...... IN TOTAL!! .........Although we wanted to! As a side, the environment at Elgin Chrysler is so laid back, you just feel at ease, which I now know is required when making such a large purchase. I don't think we would've been able to afford/buy the vehicle we had our heart set on with Elgin Chrysler. They made it happen!! and............IT WAS JUST SO EASY!! The deal was so easy, my father was then inclined to go back the next day and ended up buying a brand new Dodge Ram from Elgin Chrysler as well. BOTTOMLINE............ GO TO ELGIN CHRYSLER!! THEY UNDERSTAND YOU, THEY AREN'T PRESSURE SALES FOLKS, THEY'LL WORK FOR YOU TO MAKE SURE YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT AND CAN AFFORD!! and again..............IT'S JUST SO EASY TO DEAL WITH THEM!!

I went for a recall which was booked 2 weeks in advance. Go Figure, in St Thomas Ontario you wait 2 weeks... busy dealership. The recall was a 15 minutes software update which went smooth. Having an electric/hybrid car and being brand new to this town went the next day for a charge since they have 2 new 30 amp level 2 Mopar chargers in their property and as a “customer appreciation” they unplugged my car. Went inside to inquire as to why did they do it and was told that what I did is no different then stealing. I am hurt and won’t be doing my “stealing” nor my software update or oil changes ever again at that dealership. Ps: I own 2 electric cars since 2016 and traveled mostly all over gta, along 401 all the way to Windsor and a bunch of states south of our boarder and have never been unplugged nor accused of stealing electricity. I am on PlugShare and all my check ins in Canada and USA are public/visible under username Gragjevi. Check me out for yourself
