This company is a joke. I have used enterprise and they’re way more accommodating to circumstances that are out of your control. This place would rather take your money than have any sort of customer service. If you find yourself needing to use the company don’t. Use enterprise.

Absolutely the worst car rental place. Terrible customer service and I was overcharged in my bill when we returned the vehicle. I do not recommend this place at all!! Please do your research people and learn from our mistakes. I wouldn’t even give this company a one star rating!

within 2 days, when I arrived to pick up and drop off a vehicle from there, no one was at the front desk. I waited from 8:20am on May 1st to 8:47am and no one showed up. I was late for work. May 2nd I went to drop off a vehicle at 11:15am and again no one was there. The vehicles loaned to me were immaculate, and would give 5 stars for vehicle condition. Lack of people at the desk is important since those who need to get a vehicle are now stuck waiting and can't take advantage of the convenience this place is supposed to provide....

Employee Shahroz was not wearing a mask, and tried convincing me he was not required to wear a mask, despite a sign at entryway requiring EVERYONE to wear a mask (see Photo). Also, despite Payless having not recorded all their damage to the vehicle at time of signing documents, they knew about other damage to the vehicle (confirmed by phone within 30mins of receiving vehicle over the phone with Desk agent who indicated they knew about it and forgot to mark it on the damage diagram at time of rental) they proceeded to try and blame me for said damage. Agent had very poor grasp of names of certain parts of the vehicle, and was very confrontational. Very unsatisfied and would never return. If zero stars was possible, I'd give them zero stars.

Best car rental, best customer service I have ever received. Some people are biased, but it is way better than enterprise in terms of service, and types of vehicles. All the best !!!

Payless car rental would rather take your money than accommodate you. I brought my car back with a full tank of gas and the guy at the front told me I needed to go back to the gas station and put five dollars of gas into the tank or they would charge me 3 times the price to do it! With other companies like enterprise who would happily top that up themselves instead of charge you and wasting your time to put literally 5 dollars in the tank. I would highly discourage people from renting a car here unless the dealership was paying for it.

Booked a 1 day rental for at a cheap rate around $70. When I got to the counter I was informed it was a $350 credit card hold regardless of car or length of rental period. I thought that was quite high and the agent was able to offer 0 flexibility. Went to the next counter over which is National rental and they matched the rate with a better car and their hold is only 125% of the daily rate which was less than $90. Makes more sense to me.
