Such a nice and clean sales building. The garage portion is the cleanest I have ever seen. I am overly impressed with the GM; he will speak to any customer anytime- his office is the first one you see.

1st in the door is the inspection by a service advisor that cost is $ 11.50 nothing mentioned to customer. One would think that would be just normal customer service if there was a light out than it would make profits off the part and labor.

Great service department. They always wash your car and top up all fluids free of charge. I recently called to ask what kind of coolant my car took and Andrew from service said to stop by and he would top it up himself.
Horrible service dept. I drove to Moncton with my Jetta to get service done as Browns staff was incompetent for the times I went there.
Ryan did a great job setting me up with a new Golf. The whole team made sure I was comfortable and well informed throughout the purchasing process. Better yet, the follow up service is great - they check in to make sure things are running smoothly and are quick to answer any of my questions.
They tried to screw me over during mvi and tried to make me pay thousands of dollars or trade in my car, when there was nothing wrong with it!
Had a great experience at Browns, blew out the side wall on the front of my bran new atlas while on pei. The team worked hard to get a tire shipped in early considering it was not easy to find. Fit me in for replacement that day and looked after all the warrienty paperwork for me. Was a pleasure dealing with the services department. Amazing service, thank Brown's team...

When we needed a car with a quick purchase turnaround, Brown's was there. We visited other dealers and we got the best sales experience with Brown's. From the initial engagement to the offer to the business side and even our 2 week 'after purchase checkup' the whole experience was awesome. 100% buying a VW from Brown's every time I can.
Service department is very expensive $140/hour. Expect charges of $160-$200 just to tell you what needs service! (Compared to the minimal effort to just diagnose a problem.) Then the actual quoted cost is very high relative to the majority of other service stations. I like VWs, but this puts me off owning or buying another one. This has happened twice. We'll avoid doing any service there.
We’ve been using Browns Volkswagen in Charlottetown for years to detailing for two vehicles, twice a year. Once after winter to rid the car of salt and winter grime under the car, around door frames, and in the floor mats; second after summer to remove the beach sand and all the dust from having windows open. The cars are so clean inside and out afterwards, They look like they’ve come off the showroom floor! It’s helped keep the vehicles looking new. Great maintenance for your vehicles.

I'm on my 4th vehicle from Brown’s Volkswagen. I've owned two pre-owned cars and two new VW's. They offer straightforward, no-pressure sales, and I find it extremely easy to get my vehicle in for servicing. If the mechanics notice something else that may need to be replaced or repaired in the near future, they make sure to mention it to me and offer no pressure to repair it on the spot. After four vehicles I've had no issues what so ever with the service department and one of my vehicles was an Audi. I only trust the mechanics at Browns!
Bought a GTI in 2015 and traded it in for a Golf R this past summer. Great cars, and treated very well by the staff!

I didn’t have to go looking for a sales person they were right there greeting me before I even got out of my vehicle . I’ve dealt with both Dave and Phil in the finance office, they both were very nice and clear about my options. Everyone was straight forward about the entire process.

Dropped in with car issue without appointment. Greeted by receptionist and then Jax, who promptly took my vehicle to be serviced (tire warning). Offered coffee while waiting. Not a long wait, all staff welcoming. Was able to still arrive to work on time. Very much appreciated. Thank you.
Do not go here to get your VW fixed. They tried to charge us $500 for a part that costs $5. Went to Steel Heels and got quoted $20 for the same job. They also told us that if we didn't fix our timing belt immediately that our engine would fall out; turns out that wasn't true either. When we turned down the service to seek out a second opinion, the manager called us back an hour later offering a $200 discount if we got the work done that day. If they could take $200 off then why didn't they just quote us that price in the first place?? A mechanic should not be bargaining with its customers. The whole experience felt like a scam. On top of that, customer service is terrible, they're rude and disorganized. Save yourself the hassle and money - don't go here.
We were treated very well at Brown’s and especially by Stephanie Arnold. We were having our car serviced and we were in a bit of a hurry to attend a luncheon with friends. Slow service, poor service, no one knows what they're doing in this place.
We are from Ontario and we have utilized the services of Brown's Volkswagen twice while visiting PEI. The first time was in their original office and the second was in their new spacious facility. From the initial call making an appointment, the receptionist when we arrived and the service staff were amazing. We honestly felt like we were family. They were quick, efficient and truly pleasant during our entire visit. I would highly recommend Brown's Volkswagen to anyone.

Ok nice and clean.
During our cross Canada trip our ‘14 Golf TDI required a oil change. We booked an appointment for September 17. Initial inspection and review of our car’s online maintenance record showed that it was due for a brake fluid flush/change and a complimentary wheel alignment check showed an alignment was recommended. I agreed to both. I asked that windshield washer fluid NOT to be topped up as I want to stick with RainEx. This was written on the work order. We were told the service department would call us when the car was ready. Off we went to explore Charlottetown. After no call from the service department, we called at 4 times - NO answer nor voice mail after two more try’s our call was answered and the shuttle would pick us up. We payed the bill and off we went. This morning (23rd), in preparation for our long journey home, I did a thorough check to make sure all was well. To my surprise I discovered the windshield washer fluid was topped up and the oil was overfilled. As it’s a 1 ½ hour drive to get to Brown’s and I don’t have the time to waste I paid a local mechanic to remove excess oil - which he estimated to be close to 2 litres and it looked to him that the oil wasn’t changed. Brown’s may be THE place to go if you’re a local - I would take serious pause before visiting the shop again.

They quote me $1079 just to replace 2 bushes. I got that done in $160 from local mechenic. They were charging $780 for labour to replace $75 worth of parts.
Years ago I used to receive great service from Brown's. I moved away for 3 years and when I got back last year was very disappointed when I visited Brown's, as I was basically strong-armed into purchasing something that I had refused at least five-times during that appointment. They eventually brought out the manager to convince me how badly I needed the service, and that if I agreed right then he would discount it for me. Despite expressing that I couldn't afford the service, they continued to pressure me into it and eventually I felt so bullied that I agreed to it. I was later told by several other mechanics that I didn't need the service, and it is a common "up-sale" tactic. That experience made me very reluctant to return to VW, but in need of a part that I have been unable to find on my I own I decided to try them again. I am so thrilled with the gentleman who took my parts order, he was honest about my options and provided me with a solution within my budget. I give him 5-stars and will absolutely be happy to deal with him again (though I hope I don't need any further parts). I am still wary about dealing with their sales team, but am willing to give them a try again after his phenomenal service. He is the only reason I am willing to give Brown's VW another chance.

They are not getting better with time.They used to be good when Paul worked there. Their new hires do not know how to sell cars or know customer service. Being a business owner myself I know how it should be done. They had no idea about the details of their cars and it came to a point where I had to tell him how to sell me the car. Their customer service was the worst. Do not know how to treat customers or work through the sale of a car. Disappointed will not go back. Teach your employees how to deal with customers and how to sell car. Will probably go to moncton to get the car I want now.

Their mechanic doesn’t know anything. Worst place to goto in Pei. They broke my friend’s car and refused to accept it and started asking other shops to fix air suspension for Range rover.
Dealing with Nick was one of the best experiences I've had when buying a car, I didn't feel like I was getting cheated or any negative vibes, along with him being extremely friendly, helpful and just a riot to deal with made this a great experience for myself! Have dealt with Brown’s on three vehicles, both new and used, all good experiences. Their service desk just recently went out of their way to help me a LOT on an issue and they found me a surprisingly cheap fix - I am super grateful for the money they saved me.
