The taxi service in town takes hours to arrive, and takes the longest route with the most lights to get you home if you don't pay strict attention and show that you know what's up. Be really careful how you deal with them since they'll rip you off if they can. One guy said they don't take credit, but all of the rest of them in that company do take that same card. He only took it when I told him I've done credit with them before, and I don't carry cash. He tried to tell me that we need to go to a bank and get cash that time though, so be careful. Haven't seen that guy since though.

Usually it's a fairly decent service, havent had problems till last night. Cut myself rather deep and needed to go to the hospital, so I called them up and they were there in 15minutes. But there was 2 people in the car already, the driver and some other lady. It was extremely apparent that the lady was very drunk or high or something and wouldn't keep her hands off me. She said it was her "first day on the job" and that she was "learning the ropes" but she kept grabbing my arm and my knee. Tried to call them and asked for a manager to tell this to but they hung up on me the first time and the second time I called the dispatcher said they'd call me back but it's been an hour with no call. Before this I would have said it's a decent service but now I'm very wary about calling them for a ride.

Friendly, responsive service. Yes, sometimes it takes 15+ minutes, but it’s a small town covering a wide area. Never had a problem.

The information on the google info and website are completely wrong. For people who would like to know, they typically open around 7:30am and stop service at around 11pm. They take forever to show up unless you've planned your day out and called ahead of time. Typically an attitude with the person on the other end, so just be straight to the point and it should go well. This business should fix their online profile to fit their actual services. Its runned by an old man so I doubt he knows how to even fix the website. I hope this helps anyone who is looking for the real information online, and hopefully the main business sees this and fixes all their online profiles to give the right information. Because they are no longer a 24/7 service, which certainly causes drunk driving, which is absolutely terrible... Thanks for your read

Worst service ever! Was going to pay 30 dollars to get few items delivered..and apparently 3 items was too much of a list to take and told me to" figure out another way to get my order, like go to the store your self". I said wow thanks alot goodbye!The woman dispatcher is rude and should find another job because her customer service skills are horrible, rude, and unprofessional! I won't be calling for any rides ever again.

Called in just before 7 took 2hours to come may have been more if I had not called in 3 times. Not impressed, as I was going to give no stars but because I was finally delivered to my destination I gave it 2. Get more taxis

Asked for a cab for the ferry and asked to make sure we wouldn't miss it. Not only did we miss it, but they also charged us again to bring us back. Trash company.

Not open late enough, people need a a safe way to get home after getting out of the forest bistro. I called a taxi one night, got told someone will come when they can. Waited like an hour and finally called back just to be told they are not running anymore.

Ordered a cab after my wedding to be taken to our hotel. We were told it would be 10 minutes, after waiting 30, we called back and turns out they FORGOT to send a cab. Until they get a new dispatcher I HIGHLY recommend you stay away from this taxi service and find a method of transportation.

There have been so many occasions where i or my partner have called cabs and just never had one show up. Even when calling 30-60 mins before needing to be at a location i find they either no show or show up well after their quoted arival time.

Always late, don’t ever expect it to be on time, pretty mundane service over all. This is what happens when you have one cab company for the whole town

We were trying to leave Powell River at a specific time for safety reasons, as we were traveling by boat and the weather was turning bad. The extremely rude dispatcher told us a cab would be there in 20 minutes. After waiting 50 minutes we called back. Again the dispatcher treated us like we were the problem!? HEY DISPATCHER, YOU NEED A NEW JOB! GET FIRED. We had to carry a significant amount of luggage ourselves over a few kilometres, as we could no longer afford to wait. Company, Just tell us if it's going to be an hour, ok? It's not that hard. No complaints about the drivers.

This was my first time using PR taxi. I booked a ride to the airport a week in advance, and was pretty nervous it would show up late or not at all after reading all the negative reviews. But it was right on time, driver was pleasant, great experience! I'll definitely book with PR taxi again.

We bumped into a Powell river Taxi while in Lund, just before he was going to head back to Powell river with no fair. I needed a ride to Oakover boat launch (5km trip). He then phoned dispatch, talked for a few minutes, and told us that it was flat rate $50. With no other options at that point we paid for the 5 minute journey but this ultimately was a sour end to a great trip as we felt taken advantage of.

The website states 24/hr service 365 days a year. This morning my partner was trying to make it to the 8:05 ferry to comox. First call was at 6am no answer. She called numerous times between 6am and 7am. I'm at work and I even called twice. Finally they answered the phone. The dispatcher was very rude to her, even swearing at her when she was trying to tell them what our address was. They said that a cab woupd be there to pick her up at 7:40, they even reiterated to her that she would make the 8:05 ferry. 7:45am no cab still. She calls back the dispatcher again very rude to her. Tells her that all the cabs are booked, and he told her 8:40 and not 7:40. Even after being told she would make the ferry. Very unprofessional would not ever use this company.

Most of the drivers are friendly. There are a few that need to follow the rules of the road and stop driving through stop signs and pay more attention.

During the summer there's often waits of several hours. Also, on my most recent cab ride, the cab really smelled of cigarettes which was unpleasant. The driver was friendly enough I guess...
