We really enjoyed the The County Unveiled Tour of PEC by Sandbanks Vacations and Tours! We loved the mix of wine, cider, beer and vinegar tastings, as well as the fun and knowledgeable staff (our driver Heinz and the staff serving us at each winery/brewery were accommodating, funny and helpful). We would definitely recommend The County Unveiled Tour to anyone looking for a well rounded, fun tour, and hope to do the tour again in the near future

Our wine/cider/beer tour with Sandbanks Vacations & Tours was fantastic! Our driver Larry was exceptional and made the whole experience a memorable one. The whole weekend in PEC was a beautiful way to spend quality time with my bookclub. If only the winery staff weren't so grumpy and stressed it would have been perfect.

My friends and I chose the Girls Getaway package and it was perfect. We stayed in an adorable little house in Wellington (Corner Haven Main) which was a 2 min walk from groceries, gift shops, a brewery and restaurants. Part of our package was the half-day wine tour which we loved. John was an amazing tour guide, very informative and friendly. We visited Hillier Creek Estates, Stanners, Sandbanks Winery and Keint-He. We enjoyed all of them and went home with quite a few bottles. We even had a tour of the Hillier Creek Estates winery (instead of just a tasting), which was great. Will definitely go back next year.

My wife and I just just did The County Unveiled Tour for a second time this year, this weekend Nov 1st with Larry and previously with Chris in the middle of August. August was our first time in PEC for the tours and we loved it, so we booked again and brought another couple along with us. We stayed at the Picton Harbor Inn which was a nice spot. The stops chosen by Sandbanks Vacations were fantastic both times. While no stop was bad, in fact they were all rather good, Kipsip stood out as a favorite stop personally as I enjoy spirits more then other options. For beer stops barley days was a crowd favorite. The beer was great, but the service and knowledge was even better. Speak to Larry to learn more then you can handle. We also grabbed some fantastic smoked meat at the food truck outside. For wine stops Sugarbush stood out for us for wine and Black Prince for the vinegar tasting and for experience. Crimson while not bad was our least favorite. Our group just isn't heavy into ciders, however the lavender cider was very nice, and we did buy a bottle. As with all the above, it all comes down to personal preference and taste. For our palates, the above is what stood out. Last but not least out your guides. The first time was with Chris as previously mentioned. We had a fantastic time, as did the other two random couples we toured with. Chris was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable of the area. We put in a request for him as our guide the second time around. We didn't end up Chris but ended up being extremely happy with our guide Larry. Larry (who we met working at barley days on the first tour) was an absolute fantastic guide. We couldn't have asked for more. He went above and beyond in order to make our tour one to remember. The amount of knowledge and laughs shared inside and outside of the scheduled stops made our tour perfect. We will absolutely be coming back to PEC and doing another sandbanks tour in the future. Highly recommended to those looking for a great, fun day, with more the just wine stops.

We did both a wine tour and taste of the county tour. Our guides were knowledgeable and made the experience that much more enjoyable. Each stop was just the right amount of time and we never felt rushed. With Covid protocols in place we also felt very safe.

We had a delightful experience with Sandbanks Tours, and in particular with Larry! We went on the County Unveiled Tour, visiting two wineries, a brewery, a ciderie, and an alpaca farm, as well as a lavender farm. Throughout the day Larry was knowledgeable and professional, and was highly entertaining to boot. Due to Covid restrictions this ended up being a private tour for my girlfriend and myself, but we have no doubt it would be just as good outside of Covid times. Would definitely recommend!

My husband I I took the tour for our Anniversary. Thank you so much to Jordanna for finding us a wonderful tour guide, Larry, a few days before. Despite the cold, rainy weather Larry made us feel very welcome and kept us entertained with all his wonderful information and lively discussions. All Covid protocols were followed not only by Larry but at each of the four wineries we visited. What a great experience! We’ve done the half day wine tours with this company twice now and absolutely loved it each time. Visited a great variety of large and smaller family owned wineries allowing us to do 3-5 tastings in each. Our tour guide Dave was extremely friendly and had a lot of background information and tips to share on each winery. Proper Covid protocol was followed. Overall would highly recommend!

Our family thouroughly enjoyed the stay at the Wind and Waves vacation rental. They were kind enough to assist with a special request. Things turned sour after the checkout. We got a harsh email from the property managers outlining a few minor items that were not cleaned per their standards. Mind you these are all minor issues usually handled by the cleaners in a rental. Too late, they had already billed an extra $355 (!) to our credit card without even discussing with us first. Although they were quick to bill, they did not reimburse costs that we incurred as a result of their failure to provide a Provincial Parks pass, which was included in the listing. Next year we'll deal with a larger company that takes care of its customers and does not treat vacationing families like raging frat boys. Pass!

This company was amazing to deal with from booking the trip, the house and the wine tour to the wine tour itself. Jordanna was amazing accommodating for us 8 girls to help my friend celebrate her bachelorette. She always replied fast and answered all my million questions, she was great to talk to and very helpful. We also stayed at the Calan House and would 100% stay there again. The house and property was beautiful, the inside was filled with antique's and very clean. They even gave us a bottle of wine to welcome us! Alan was easy to talk to whenever I had a question or concern to accommodate us. I will be planning to stay there again. Lastly, Mike our wine tour guy! All the girls loved Mike, he was so helpful throughout the entire day. While driving to the winery's he would tell us historical facts about the area or if we passed something that he thought was interesting. Even at the winery's he was giving us information about each individual one and showed us around the properties. He was so easy to talk to everyone was having conversations with him the entire day. He was so kind and generous to all 8 of us girls and really impacted the day in such a positive way. He offered to stop on the way home if we needed anything and brought our boxes of wine into the house for us. I will definitely be coming back soon and requesting him to do another wine tour. I cannot wait to book another tour with Sandbanks Vacations and Tours!

This past weekend 9 friends and I participated in a the Sandbanks vacations Sip & Spark wine tour. From the first point of contact until we arrived back home after the wine tour, Sandbanks staff were outstanding to deal with. Our tour guide Bob went above and beyond for our group. He arrived at our accommodations well in advance, took many, many, many photos for us throughout the day, educated us on the wineries, kept us on time all the time, and even sang along to our 90’s throwback music with us the entire day. I attended a wine tour with Sandbanks Vacation and Tours on Saturday August 29th. Our tour guide/driver Corrine was amazing and the experience wouldn't be the same without her !! She was so kind , knowledgeable and created a safe environment for everyone . The 5 stars are just for her . Booking - 1 star Booking the tour was another story. Everyone who I interacted with had no clue what they were doing. Using the excuse " I'm new" is not appropriate. I had to call and email several times just for tour details and itinerary . Funny how they can collect the money on time , but I never did get the itinerary until out driver told us the day of. Winery selection- 3 stars Secondly , Chadsey's needs to be removed from your tours. A staff member was so rude and inappropriate. Our first encounter with her started after part of the group had finished tasting while the remaining was finishing up with the lovely gentlemen serving us . She walked over and stated “ You guys that are done tasting , you need to leave and make room for the next group. You are standing around without masks and you need to leave ” Her tone was rude and abrasive . At no point were we ever given any instructions prior to the tasting to exit after we were finished . I replied out loud so she could hear “ that was very rude . “ She scoffed and walked back to the cash. Despite her poor behavior , I still purchased 3 bottles of wine from your winery. A total of $82.00. After I had paid and walked away I heard her state very audibly to our tour driver “You guys always bring your tours in here , and don’t buy any wine.” Our tour driver , visibly embarrassed from how we were treated, simply stated that her group just purchased 5 bottles from this winery and there was not reason to speak to us in that manner . We left the building as we were rudely told , and waited for the rest of the group to finish taking pictures. Our tour driver apologized profusely for the behavior of your staff and hoped that it had not ruined our experience . She actually was so kind hearted enough to defend her and identify how difficult and busy things are this time of year . To take things further this staff member proceeded to aggressively storm down the hill to where we were talking and accuse the tour driver of “ painting her out to be an evil person “. She justified her behavior with the fact that there is covid- 19 and never apologized for how she spoke to our group. I politely replied “ we pay a lot of money to attend these tours , a please and thank you goes a long way. “ She then scoffed at me again and stormed back up the hill and inside. Long story short, I would train staff in house for efficiently and remove Chadsey's from your roster.

This was our second trip to PEC using Sandbanks Vacations. Just like the first time, they didn't disappoint! Jordanna did a great job making sure we had all the stops we wanted for the County Unveiled tour. Larry, our amazing guide, was knowledgeable about the area. He also wound up teaching us about beer! He was fun and showed us interesting information as he was driving from one location to another. As an added plus, the guides will also carry your alcohol for you! I would highly recommend anyone go with them! Covid measures were also properly observed. Next time we're back, we're going to use Sandbanks Vacations again!

During our stay at the waring house they recommended sandbanks vacations for wine tours. We just went on the county wine essentials tour. We visited a few lovely wineries in the county. Larry was an exemplary tour guide. He's knowledgeable, kind and fun. Never a dull moment. The pizza at casa dea is really delicious, highly recommend if you go there.

From the beginning of the excellent half-day tour our group of 4 women took, Edu (Eduardo), our tour guide, was friendly, knowledgeable, and generous. He offered us cold water, an intro to wine tasting, and to take our pictures whenever we wanted-- all before we even got to the first winery. His knowledge helped us to enjoy our experience at each winery more than we would have on our own, and everyone in our group was thrilled with his guidance. He made good on his offer to take some excellent photos at each winery in some special places, carried our wines back to the vehicle for us, took us to an extra 2 stops (the cutest little store and another winery) without us even having to ask, and his cheerful nature was infectious the whole time. He knew so many people, and so much about the wineries and county in general. He took us on a scenic route back home once it was all finished and carried our wine inside for us, all with a smile on his face, even when it started to rain. Seriously, we couldn't have asked for better service or a better afternoon. I would highly recommend this company, and specifically Edu, for your next wine tasting adventure.

Sandbanks helped us arrange a wine tasting day for a corporate event with 18 people and the day was executed seamlessly. Our driver Bob was lovely and everything met or exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend them for planning your PEC adventures!

Strongly disappointed. Terrible experience. Unsafe tour in these Covid times. It did not start well. Our driver was 10 min late and did not apologize when he arrived. I had tried to contact the agency but no one got back to me. Our driver never wore any mask, mentioned he ''hated them'' and even said it was fine for other people to not wear any on the bus. This made us uncomfortable. No bottled water was provided even though it was clearly mentioned on the receipt. The driver said he did not have any when asked. We did not bring our own because of what was mentioned on that receipt. We ended up very dehydrated and this had a negative impact on the full experience. Some wineries, especially Karlo Estates had an uncomfortable and awkward setting : we were really close to each other, not wearing masks, which is, again, uncomfortable during these difficult times. We were also a group of 10 instead of 8 as indicated on receipt. Ending with the wine selection: pretty standard. I find the full experience overpriced and would not recommend it to anybody.

Went with my wife for our anniversary and we had a great time. Heinz was our tour guide. He picked us up from B&B and took us to a bunch of wineries. He's very knowledgeable and gave us a rundown of different areas and wines we could try and we were off. At the end he picked out a great restaurant and he was also very helpful at the wineries themselves.

Excellent experience on our tour with our guide John. He was very knowledgable about the county, and knew many of the winemakers by name. We went to a number of wineries, a brewery, and a place making cider. All with excellent views and service. Having the variety of places (not just wineries) was a great way to experience the county. Our tour was part of a promotion with the Picton Harbourfront Inn. We were picked up by our driver and went to a variety of locations, a nice mix of a brewery, a winery, cider houses, a distillery and another winery. Our tour guide, Heinz was an incredibly personable, knowledgeable host with engaging stories and lots of information. Heinz went above and beyond, dropping off at our hotel, some beverages we inadvertently left on the coach. Well worth the tour!

The wineries we visited were beautiful! Everyone was friendly and informative. Our guide was very easy to talk to and knowledgeable. As a group of 4 highschool friends, we were there to catch up with one another so the only drawback was that our driver sat with us at 3 out of the 4 wineries. This made things a little awkward as a stranger sitting with us while we sip wine and catch up was not ideal.

We went on a Sandbanks County Unveiled Tour and it was such an amazing experience! Booking our trip was easy and Sandbanks was quick to reply to all emails. We had to make some last minute changes to our reservation and they were accommodating. We stayed at the Picton Harbour Inn and our tour guide John arrived to pick us up right on time. John was an EXCEPTIONAL tour guide!!! Our locations were all amazing, we went to Prince Eddy’s Brewery, Crimson Cidery, KinSip Distillery, Karlo Estates winery, and Norman Harding winery. Each location had its own unique charm and very educated and friendly staff. A big hit with our group was the slushy drinks at Crimson. I highly recommend doing this tour and if you want an absolutely amazing guide, ask for John!

He picked us up right on time and was very knowledgable about the County. We visited a brewery, a cidery, and two wineries. It was great having someone else handle the logistics of where to go and how to get there. All stops were fantastic, the tour gave us the perfect amount of time to enjoy each stop, and 3-5 tastings at each was just the right amount of alcohol to keep us having a good time all afternoon.

Johnny was such an incredible tour guide for my husband and I on our mini moon on October 25, 2020. We were on the tour with one other couple (who seemed so perfectly paired to us!) and had an absolute blast. Johnny took us to a brewery, two wineries, a cider company and a cheese shop and each place blew our minds. Johnny was so knowledgable about the county and life in general. He kept us laughing and engaged and made sure that we want to return to the county. I wish the tour could have been longer (even though it really was the perfect length) because we were having such a great time!!!!

Sandbanks tours was absolutely incredible. All the communication before our tour was efficient and helpful, so booking was extremely easy. Then on the day of our tour guide Larry was fantastic. Would give him 6/5 stars if I could. He was a local that everyone seemed to know and love, and his knowledge on wine, spirits etc. was stellar! He even took us to an extra winery free of charge. We had dinner reservations after our wine tour and Larry called the restaurant to push back our reso a bit to make sure we had enough time! He made the entire wine tour such a memorable experience. Thanks Larry and Sandbanks, we had a fantastic time!

If you are visiting Prince Edward County or even just passing through, booking a wine tour with Sandbanks is a must! We booked the half-day "County Unveiled" tour for my friend's bachelorette and we had an incredible time. From the booking, to the pick up, to the wine tour itself, everything went so smoothly and was completely stress-free. During the tour we visited two wineries, a brewery, a cidery, and a local cheese factory — and our tour guide, Larry, even surprised us with a visit to an extra winery at the end of the tour! Larry was an amazing guide and went above and beyond to make our afternoon special. He was very knowledgeable about the County and each of the spots we visited, and he gave us some great tips to make the most of our bachelorette weekend in Picton. This was definitely the highlight of our weekend — highly recommended!

John took us on a county unveiled tour on Friday Aug 30th. It was fantastic we toured wineries, brewery and cidery. All were excellent experiences and everything was so good that we bought products at all of the locations. John is very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about Prince Edward County during our tour. John - can't thank you enough for a wonderful afternoon. Will definitely be looking to do another tour with you when we are back in Prince Edward County.

I cannot recommend this wine tour enough. My partner and I did the full-day wine tour with Edu as our guide and had THE best time! Edu was approachable, knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible. His passion for wine and entertaining also really showed, which made for an incredibly special experience for us. We already plan on doing another tour next year!

We had a fabulous weekend in the County. Sandbanks arranged the County Unveiled Tour for our group of 5 for us, they selected 2 wineries, 1 distillery, 1 cidery and 1 brewery for us to sample and explore. Ted was our guide, he arrived on time and was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Bus was clean and covid safe with masks and sanitizer readily available if needed. We enjoyed every part of our tour, thanks for making our weekend away so easy to enjoy ( they did all the planning and reservation booking for us) I'm a safe and fun manner! We will be back !

This was our second time doing a brewery tour with Sandbanks Tours. From the time we were picked up until the time we were dropped off Mike did everything to make sure we had an amazing experience. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Had a great tour yesterday with Dave as our guide. We totally enjoyed the first three wineries on our tour. Huff Estates, Sugarbush and Karlo Estates each offered informative tastings in their own unique settings. I especially enjoyed the tasting rooms at Karlo Estates. The fourth on our tour - By Chadsey’s Cairns - could have been skipped. We had no seats and were given a list to pick 4 wines to taste. Each was served in a small plastic medicine cup with little or no information provided. I would suggest skipping this one and either just do 3 stops or find another more welcoming place to go. Also we were told water would be provided on the tour which it was not. Dave was a great informative and fun guide and I highly recommend his tours.
