i called cronkies getting a cab in town to take me to metro, the fair was 6 bucks we made one stop, a stop i forgot to mention till a little later and the guy started complaining,nagging, he told me to make it quick cause he doesnt have all day to wait around, when i was about to go into the store i asked how much the fair would be nd he said 12$ i took 2 minutes getting what i needed and he raises it to 17 dollars, ridiculous. plus not to mention the cab drivers are major creeps/ sex offenders that ask for dirty things for free cab rides.

Fast and friendly service - they do their best for you. Not fancy but gets you where you are going. There are limo services available elsewhere, but at a price.

Called a cab at 12:40 for an appointment for 1:15. Waited 28 minutes for the cab to show up. Dispatcher said it would be a 10 mimute wait. Was nearly late for my appointment. Driver was rude, took no responsibility and told me I should have booked a cab in advance.

Used this company for a ride from Huff's Inn to East & Main. The Inn receptionist called them as we had requested a taxi. We should have asked what the price was going to be. The trip is about 13KM and we were charged $30...and felt like the driver pulled the price out of thin air. We reached the restaurant and asked him how much we owed and he kinda looked at us and said "uuh...$30?" I don't know if it was a question or a statement...but we were like...uhh ok...and gave him cash. Unfortunately he was outside the restaurant dropping off another party and took us back to the Inn - this time, no hesitation...$30. So for a 20 min round trip they made $70 (with tip)...felt a little ripped off....bring Uber to the County!

Felt like a scam. Flagged a cab in Wellington. Took it less than two minutes down Main Street, and he charged me $25! Received ridiculous explanation for fare that "Everything's run out of Picton." After being told the fare I looked for the meter, and realized there'd never been one running. Way to prey on the tourist whose girlfriend had a sprained ankle and couldn't walk, guys.

Unfortunately, I can't rate 0 stars, otherwise I would. When I called, I was told it was a 20 minute wait. No problem. 45 minutes later I call to check, and was told it would be 15 minutes more. Waited 20 before the car showed up, and because two couples were waiting for a Cronkies cab and were headed to the same place, the same driver took both of us. On arrival at our destination, he insisted that we each pay the full fare, instead of splitting it ($50 for a 10 minute drive). We said that's not fair, and so he suggested we get out and walk. So we did. This is not our first time putting a lot of money into Cronkies' overpriced transportation, but it will be our last. I'd suggest you find someone else to drive you around the county.

Wayne and Donna were the drivers for wine touring and they really made the day. The tour company seems to be seperate from the cab part. The tour part is very impressive.

Abhorrent customer service. Dispatcher was verbally abusive and completely unprofessional when calling to check on a prebooked taxi that was over 30min late. Send your business elsewhere. I can appreciate that managing a small fleet of taxis in a relatively large geographic area is not an easy task but there is absolutely no excuse for how we were treated. Despicable.

Called ahead for a ride from a hotel in Bloomfield to a restaurant in Picton. Taxi arrived on time and had no issues getting to our destination. Driver was friendly. Called again later after dinner for a ride back and taxi arrived within 15 minutes after calling and had no issues getting back.

Absolute garbage dispatcher. Dispatcher is such a rude guy. He had no idea where we were. Terrible customer service from that guy. Cab drivers are good guys. Rates are high though. This area is incredible and deserves a better cab company. Uber needs to expand out here.

Thanks to "Tony," a driver for Cronkie Taxi for getting my wife, me, and our 2 Westies safely home Jan 12-2017. We were stuck in the snow at Delhi Park here in Picton. He only charged 7$ and would not accept a tip. A true gentleman. Thanks, Tony!

Cronkie’s cab co was the perfect choice for our wine tour around the county. Malcolm picked us up right on time from our accommodations in Picton. He drove us around to all the wineries on our list and was nice enough to be our personal photographer for the day. When our dinner plans got delayed, he was very accommodating and picked us without complaint. He was very pleasant and at some of the wineries, he was even able to expedite our tastings because of his connections! He also would load up all our wine into the car while we were finishing our tastings. I would definitely recommend using Cronkie’s Cab Co if you want a budget-friendly, reliable, and professional service for touring the county.

Went on a girl family trip this weekend from Ottawa to Prince Edward County and had a lovely driver named Mal. He went beyond out of his way. He took us to the wineries and not only did he help us in and out of the van, he also came on the wine tour with us held our purses, waters and wine bottles. Mal took care of us like we were one of his family members. Took us to the pharmacy when one of our members had to pick some medicine up and even went in with her to make sure she was properly taken care of. He seemed so well known in the town and very knowledgeable about the town. Mal helped us get a good table at TerraCello Winery where he knew all the staff. He also took us to the hospital and figured out the wait for us and everything, 5 stars excellent service. If you want an amazing experience I would highly recommend Mal. Cheers ????

If I could give zero stars, I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My 2 friends and I called for a taxi and were told 30 minutes. After an hour, we called back to be told a taxi came but we weren't there so they left. We had been the only people sitting in the parking lot of the winery for the hour - no one had come. They said they would "re-send" a taxi. After another 30 minutes, one arrived. There was no meter (which we did not expect but didn't think much of). Upon arrival of a 10 min/15KM drive we were told the rate was $50! When I questioned the driver, it was like a switch flipped and he got EXTREMELY aggressive with us immediately. As 3 women it made us all very uncomfortable. He blamed the county in his tirade for the prices - which we looked up and was an utter lie. This company overcharges out of towners, intimidates customers - because they know there are limited options. I was disgusted and appalled. Do NOT use this company.

0 STARS, But it wont allow it. DO NOT USE this company.... Myself and 2 friends were in PEC for the weekend. After a long day, and biking to our destination, we decided to take a taxi back to our rental. We called for a taxi and they said it would be about a half hour (Fair enough) 1 hour later we called again, and the dispatcher said that they had been there and no one was outside. We were outside the whole time. 1/2 and hour later the taxi showed up. When we got to our destination, which was about 15 km, so a ten minute ride, he said it would be $50.00. We were all in shock. We expected $15.00 maybe $20.00 max. But $50.00? At this point, the driver of the cab got very angry, and said he didn't set the rates that the county did. (we researched that, and it should have been about $17.50) It was a very uncomfortable situation for us. I feel this company takes advantage of tourists. Our fault for not asking beforehand, but $50.00 could get you pretty far in the city of Toronto.

I was in Prince Edward County for the first time this past weekend for a Bachelorette party. We had pre booked cabs for our party of 12 with Cronkies months ahead of time. We did this to ensure that our only night in PEC would go smoothly for our bride to be. When we got picked up (20 mins late), one of the vehicles window wasn’t functioning, so we had a 30 min cold and windy drive to the bar. The worst part came when we were supposed to be picked up with 2 vehicles at 1am. This reservation was confirmed on 3 separate occasions to ensure a timely arrival back to our Airbnb. When the cabs didn’t arrive after 15-20 mins, a polite phone call was made to check in on the status of our rides. This is when Tracy from Cronkies told us that we were idiots when we were simply trying to ensure we were getting picked up from the middle of nowhere. From then on, Cronkies drivers refused to pick us up as they were agitated from us calling to check in with them. They informed their drivers to specifically not pick anyone up from our party. Thankfully the owner of the bar assisted us and called another company. Because of this incident, it put a huge damper on what was our perfect day for our bride to be. We waited in the cold until approximately 2:15am for another company to get us. This is my first review as I feel a need to warn other bridal parties not to rely on this company for transportation. If I could give this review 0 stars, I would.

Our group of 14 used Cronkie's Tours Plus this past weekend to drive us to multiple winery tastings during the day, drop us at our rental, and then pick our group back up at night to party in a barn. To our surprise, Donna was not just a driver, she was our tour guide and basically became our BFF. We would've been screwed without her. We had a handful of winery's in mind to visit & some reservations scheduled but Donna knew where we wanted to go without us even knowing. We handed over full control and she safely transported us to beautiful winery's. I am pretty sure I remember Donna serving us some vino tinto at a few stops...that just goes to show her great relationship with the winery owners. To put it nicely, our group has a lot of energy. This did not phase Donna at all but she knew when we were losing fuel and needed a snack to finish the second half of the tour. She took us to a local lunch spot and was patiently waiting for us. It goes without saying we wanted Lady D to join us but I guess she wasn't hungry. Eventually we had to say goodbye to our new friend at drop off but got to meet THE Wayne who we booked the bus through. We were nervous-- he had some big shoes to fill. But believe it or not, Wayne was just as great as Donna. Let's just say from the time Donna dropped us off and Wayne picked us up, things got lit. We were more rowdy then before but no big deal for Big W. Again, he picked us up in a clean and modern bus and drove us safely to our destination. He waited at the barn club? until we were ready to leave. We probably should've left sooner, but it's all good. Overall, we had a great day and it went especially smooth because of the great touring from Donna & Wayne. I would 100% recommend using this company. They are great local people!

Wayne and Donna made my 30th birthday amazing!!! They personalized the entire day and made every single stop special! We rented the 14 seat bus for the whole day and Donna organized everything. If you’re looking for a group tour in PEC, Wayne and Donna are the people to book with! Thank you guys much!

HORRIBLE. Don’t use this company it’s a scam. They take advantage of tourists. They charged us 35 dollars to go 27 km (fine with that), but then charged us the same amount to go 5km because they said “we are paying for them to come out to where we are since they are located in Picton”. On what planet does that make sense - the whole business model of a taxi service is to do exactly that?? Even better, the driver said he had just dropped someone off down the road from where he picked us up - so if he was already here why did we got charged the “coming out to where you are fee”?Also, since this is their way of doing business, don’t wait until we are at our destination to tell us of this outrageous fee. We would have easily just walked the short distance and saved the 35 dollars. The driver was rude, drove like a maniac and was just all around unpleasant. Use Wellington taxi - they are nicer, cheaper and pick you up in these old English cars which provides a neat experience.

We used Cronkies Tours Plus for our transportation to visit 4 wineries. Our driver, Mal, was fantastic. He went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of. We had an amazing day and highly recommend!

Over the years we have had good service from Ralph, Tony, David etc. from Cronkies. Then Saturday afternoon we went from Picton to a residence on Glenora rd. near McFarland Park. Was told by driver $20. Later in the evening when Cronkies was to busy to pick us up Terry's was called and charged $10 with an additional stop. I called Cronkies dispatcher and was told the driver would be delivering $10 the next day. At @ 5:30 Sunday I called to speak with owner. When he called he was the most ignorant rude man I have ever talked to. Said driver was on her way with my money and never to call again because "WE DON'T NEED PEOPLE LIKE YOU" Well you have your wish Mr, Cronk. The driver came by at 7:25 offering $5. Which I refused

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. After reading some of the reviews I see others had similar experiences as us. We called the dispatcher to book a cab ride for the following morning that was 12km away from us.The dispatcher (she was a female, don't remember her name) told us it would be 60$. We were shocked. When I calmly and politely asked why it was so much, she very rudely didn't really explain and said something along the lines of "That's just the way it is". I tried to clarify once again as I just didn't understand why a 12km ride was 60$ , even stating "Sorry I'm not trying to be difficult I just want to understand the reason for the cost" she started YELLING back at me "I've lived in the county my whole life and this is the way it is" among other things that still failed to answer my basic question. Very uncalled for, never experienced worse customer service in my life. We ended up booking with The Taxi Guy and they charged us 40$ for the same ride, were extremely courteous and did finally explain why the reasoning behind the fares. Would NOT recommend Cronkie's.

very rude service, very impatient. I called a cab for 8pm, and they came at 7:45, i didn’t finish work till 8 so therefore i can’t leave easily. They left and when i called back for another cab they were very rude about it. That night i got charged $41 for picton tim hortons, to a friends house to Wellington (fair). The next day i get charged $61 for a shorter trip to a friends house and wellington. Unbelievable

Inconsistent pricing and target tourists. Had some great drivers over the weekend, but learned they were telling each other what they charged us so they could run up the rates. Got charged $35 for 30km (fair), the. $35 for a 3 minute drive. Ask prices in advance, don’t use them if you’re leaving Picton or coming back into town from other places, they will gouge you. This company is not very “county”.

Very unreliable and owner was incredibly rude, highly recommend calling the "Taxi Guy" instead. We booked weeks ahead to be pick-up and dropped off before and after an event and they called to say we did not have a booking minutes before we were suppose to get picked up. He then went on to say that it would be twice as expensive than quoted and he was doing us a favour by squeezing us in. When he was saying this, he was speaking in a very angry, impatient tone and threatened not to pick us up and suggested that I call his employee in Nova Scotia who took this booking as it was not his fault (implied it was ours). When pushed on why this happened and why it would cost us more, he hung up and said he was not coming. Thankfully I called the "Taxi Guy" and he was there within 15 minutes. Do not book with this company.

We had a pick up scheduled for 7:00pm to take us to our anniversary party and they never showed up. When I called to ask if they were on the way I was told that they didn't have us in the books. I told him that we confirmed yesterday with a women and the man responded "well, she's not here now so what do you want me to do about that". We had to scramble last minute to find another ride. Don't trust a pre-booked pick up!

Terrible service, terrible timekeeping, a truly awful human being of a driver (who was also driving at 80kmph in a 50) and tried to double charge us for the trip, which would have been $50 for a 10 min ride. He offered us to walk the rest of the way or pay a full fare. Save your money on the bar tab and have a DD, as Cronkie's clearly know tourists in the country have no other option and gouge them on the cost. A very bitter, old fashioned way to do business in an area that should be embracing the cash injection from tourism.
