My girlfriend bought an Outback and the service was amazing. I get my Impreza serviced there and again the service is amazing. They even clean your car for free when you bring it in for a service work.
I came into Otto's a month ago to shop for my son's first new car. Sami and his team were instantly there to help us ( We arrived with no appointment). They took the time to hear our needs and narrow down what we were looking for. From the first meeting to the final pickup of the new car everyone was professional and kind. Covid protocols may have made this process more difficult for many but the Otto's team was able to make the entire process feel safe and comfortable. Our decision to look at a Subaru was due to the online reviews and word of mouth from other Subaru owners. The choice to buy from Otto's was due to the dedication of the staff like Sami. If you plan to buy a new car I highly recommend the team at Otto's. Thanks for the great work!
I had a wonderful experience at Otto's Subaru with James Hubbard buying a used Subaru Outback. From the first contact with James to the delivery of the car, everything went well. He was extremely helpful, honest and professional throughout the process. He knew all aspects of the car so much and you could tell he loved the car too. I asked several questions and requests, and he had no problem answering any of them.
Love our car (2012 WRX STI) but HATE the service. System issues (we keep getting notices - and 3d party call centre calls - UNFORGIVABLE, about a car we traded in a year ago), they can't seem to keep track of owner data (seems it's our fault for leaving two different phone numbers with them - REALLY?). Then let's get into the attitude at the service desk - no matter what the issue - it's the customers problem!!! - perfect example - Today (May 6, 2013) says service guy: "look, the work order says you need to replace ALL four tires (he said swinging screen around to prove to me I'm an idiot)" I say " that's for the car we traded in a year ago!?!?!?" He doesn't even blink !! Are you kidding me?
I had a very pleasant and relaxed buying experience at Otto’s Subaru. My salesperson was Imad Suliman. Imad was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Subaru Outback that I purchased. He expressed a real love for Subaru’s brand and vehicles. I would definitely recommend Imad to friends who are interested in buying a new Subaru vehicle. This was not a high-pressure sales transaction, the experience was just the opposite, relaxed and easy-going. Imad took the time to answer my questions and allowed me to take my time when making a decision. I also had a very positive experience with the sales manager Jordan Ayoub-Miron and Mark Evans in the Business Office. On delivery, Imad introduced us to Xiao Han who took the time to do a final review of the documentation with me, and also helped pair my phone to the car's bluetooth. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership and, specifically, Imad to anyone looking to purchase or lease a new Subaru vehicle. PS: Thanks for the gift!
Great Service and communication with me as a customer. Would recommend for any maintenance needs, and when on the search for a new vehicle. Very friendly sales associates.
Shout out to my man Sami for putting my wife in a Forester in 2017 and me in my new Legacy 2022 today. The man made it all happen quick and painlessly. It's definitely a great sales team out there behind an awesome brand.
Sami at Otto's Subaru in Ottawa was able to find me a certified used vehicle to meet my needs. I was especially thrilled with the efficiency at finding me a vehicle and getting me into my vehicle and drive it off the lot, making the car buying experience quick and easy.
After a terrible experience at Ogilvie in the same day, we decides to try Otto’s. best experience. We met with Sami and he was great, he had a car ready for us to test drive and was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle we were interested in. He was a pleasure to chat with and didn’t feel any pressure at all from him!
Best car dealership in town. Makes buying a car so easy and painless. Excellent customer service. Nice touches like a gift basket given on delivery of the car. Highly recommended.
I was looking to purchase a used Forester from Otto's and dealt with Saleh T., who was a pleasure to deal with. He was friendly, patient, fair, and never made me feel like I was in a haggling war.
My husband and I just bought a car from Otto's and our experience was great. It started with the receptionist who is very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Then as we were browsing the cars Sami Musleh came and said hi and waited for us to ask questions. He was not pushy, very knowledgeable and helpful. This was our first time buying a new car, so he told us to think about it over the weekend and come back which gave us time to think it through with no pressure. Sami personally made sure we were well taken care of all the way through the buying process and we would definitely recommend Otto's.
Very professional and customer focused! We purchased our new 2019 Crosstrek from Otto's Subaru. It was our first Subaru, the dealership is busy but definitely the customer service still was top of the line. We were greeted by welcoming staff and had the absolute pleasure to work with sales person Imad Suliman. We were looking to get a lot of upgrades and Imad took the time to explain every upgrade, showed us pictures/videos, and discussed all pricing in detail. We dealt with John for financing, he was very professional as well. Once the purchase was made and while we waited for our car to be ready for pickup, Imad was routinely contacting us to advise of ETA. The vehicle pickup was also a wonderful experience. We were professionally greeted by Imad and then introduced to Joy who was the sales concierge who basically trains you on all the bells and whistles of your new car. She was very kind, professional and knowledgeable. After a few weeks of having our car Imad still followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the car and asked us if we had any questions about the car or any of its features. We are absolutely very happy with the car, the service, the entire experience and we will very likely be returning to Otto's Subaru in the future and already recommending them to our family and friends.
Otto's Subaru wasn't our first stop when we decided to purchase a Subaru, but it certainly should have been! Being a "younger" driver under 30, my husband and I experienced age discrimination at other dealerships (*cough* Ogilvie Subaru), so bad that we could not even get a test drive! But our sales representative at Otto's Subaru, James Hubbard, treated us with respect from the beginning and helped us to move forward with our purchase. James was very welcoming and friendly from the start. He was not a "pushy salesman" and was very knowledgeable about the Subaru brand and the WRX model we were shopping for. James allowed us to test drive the car, he matched competitor's pricing and from there we had made up our mind. Business Manager, Mark Evans, was also pleasant to deal with while we finalized our purchase. We picked up the car a few days later with great excitement. Pingchuan Guo, our Delivery Coordinator, ensured a smooth and painless hand off and a spotless new car. A big thank you to Otto's Subaru for recognizing the importance of quality customer service. It's been a week with our new car, and we absolutely love it!
I just had a fantastic experience (first time) with Otto's Subaru. My initial contact was extremely helpful and she went above and beyond for me and the service side I visited today was knowledgeable, quick, early and very friendly. 5 stars to my friends at Otto's Subaru! – A smile goes a long way.
Once you buy a Subaru, you never want to buy another type of car again, especially from Otto's. Otto's Subaru offers you a great customer service experience from the minute you walk in wanting to learn more about Subarus, to the minute you leave in your new rig! We are on our second vehicle from Otto's. Erik Laflamme and the rest of the team will make your car purchase experience a breeze. To add to that, the service department is friendly and professional too. I haven't dealt with them much, because our car needs minimal maintenance, but I know we're in good hands if we need something.
If I could leave two reviews, I would, because the sales team was excellent and I had a pleasant time acquiring my new Subaru. Service however, there is none. My new Crosstrek was making a rattling noise over small bumps. It's annoying, but things happen, so I called for an appointment since the car didn't even have 6000km on it at this point. I had to wait two weeks for my first appointment so I could get a loaner. They kept the car for two days and and I had to call them to find out what was going on. "We cannot reproduce the issue, please come pick it up.". Ok... I record my vehicle making the noise, which isn't subtle, and send them the videos. I have to chase the service department because they just ignore you. After leaving two messages with the service person I was dealing with I finally got a result: "Ok, bring it in again, we will try and find the rattle.". Three days this time. Result? "We cannot reproduce the issue, please come pick it up". I finally give up and take in to my mechanic. Issue diagnosed and repaired in 25 minutes. Now, I have a new car that behaves like one.
My experience at Otto Subaru was one of the best I ever had at a car dealership. I was lucky to get James Hubbard helping me buying a used car. When you buy a used car, you expect that you wont get the same service than when you buy a new one. But I never got that feeling with James. He was very professional, honest.... and just nice person to talk to. I highly recommend this dealer for new or used car. I also suggest contacting James.
Can't recommend Sami enough! He's been a great help sorting out our wants and needs.
Just moved to Ottawa from Montreal for school and was looking for a Subaru in my price range + other requirements, as well as help with the provincial transfer of documents. Sami Musleh was more then helpful in finding us a couple options and helping me with the whole process. He was very fun and very understanding. Truly someone you can trust in making a fair and very comfortable deal. His communication was fast and he was very honest with anything we were unsure about. The Subaru team was also very nice, they treated us like friends and were always able to help when Sami was off work. Highly recommend doing business with Sami and Subaru Otto. Thanks again!
Had a great experience with Sami and Allison. Zero pressure, just informative answers and helpful opinions. Helped navigate the whole process and we are thrilled with the car!
As it often is with dealerships, your experience will vary greatly between Sales, Service and Parts departments. I had a good experience here purchasing my Subie. Parts guys are consistently great every time I stop by to get oil filters, air filters and various odds and ends. Unfortunately the Service department is nothing like the rest. I had my current and my previous Subie for a total of 11 years. In this time span I had many issues with Otto's service. To name a few: 1. they charged me for certain service packages (e.g. 48k km) but didnt actually perform all the tasks 2. I've been lied to straight in my face by a service advisor about service charges (9 years later he still works there) 3. they did a poor brake job for which I paid over $1k and then proceeded to blame wheel bearing and other suspension components which would have cost me additional $450. I took it to a different mechanic and it turned out to be a poor quality brake pad that Otto's put in. Changing it resolved the issue. The latest one is very recent and one of the most aggravating! They managed to scratch my windows with a dirty rag when they washed them after I brought the car in for a recall. All they had to do was spray some rustproofer and they still caused issues!!! They have some great mechanics working for them but you have to ask for them by name and even then you're risking issues with management / advisors. So for service, please do yourself a favor and find a master Subaru mechanic outside of this dealership. My mechanic is in Rockland and while it's a long trek there from Carleton Place, it's so worth it every single time!
Good place with very polite salesmen who really help you without a pressure.
After a less than satisfactory sales experience at Ottawa's East End Subaru Dealership, I tried Otto's. My experience here was completely different. Ran Hao was a very professional, competent Sales Consultant who answered my questions and concerns in a low key no pressure way. On delivery of my new vehicle, the staff (Ping) provided all the information I required to get familiar with the car. It was also a really nice surprise to be presented with a very thoughtful gift basket from Otto's in appreciation of my purchase. It looks like Otto's has a handle on good customer service, I trust this will continue when my vehicle requires service.
I have always wanted a Subaru and Sami at Otto's made that happen, it was a great experience and I really appreciate everything! Now I wonder how I could have driven any other car! Always ask for Sami Musleh, you wont be disappointed!
I found myself at Otto's Subaru after an absolutely terrible experience at another car dealership. At Otto's, I was paired up with Sami. Sami proved to be very knowledgeable - both about Subaru as well as competing brands. He was great to deal with and made the process effortless. I'd definitely recommend Sami to my family and friends in the future. I picked up my new car yesterday and hope to have many happy adventures in my Outback.
Just bought my Subaru Impreza Hatchback from Sami Musleh. Am SOOOOOO impressed, not only with veh, but incredibly fantastic customer service. Second Subaru and am HOOKED. If you are indecisive about a car - visit Otto's Subaru and Sami. Do yourself a favour.
Sami took us in as a last minute appointment and went above and beyond helping me pick out my crosstrek. A very friendly and helpful sales person - I greatly appreciate the service we received at Otto's.
We had a great experience with Otto’s Subaru! It was smooth, direct to the point, and we did not feel any pressure. Shout out to Nan and Bonnie Mark for being helpful & patient and also for making the process so easy and quick???? Our expectations were met and overall we are very happy that we purchased our new subie here!!
Had a wonderful experience with James Hubbard, purchasing our new Subaru. He was so knowledgeable about every aspect of the car and you could tell he loved the car as well. We asked several questions and he had no problem answering any of them. Buying this car was as enjoyable as driving it!
We needed a car big enough for our three kids and ended up buying a Subaru ascent at Otto, which was an excellent choice. Sami was super helpful and knowledgeable and he made the whole experience so easy. Mark also very helpful when it came to the financing portion of the transaction and went out of his way to find a solution to solve a bit of an issue with our licenses. We also really appreciated that Subaru got the safety done to get it approved for Quebec plates before we drove away with the car. The friendly service and professionalism at Otto’s Subaru is hard to beat and we will definitely be back when we need to buy our next car.
After going to Midas and getting a problem diagnosed for $3K we decided that if we were going to spend that amount of money we were going to get it done by people that really know the car. Took it here and gave us the same diagnoses but with a $1300 bill. Then got a call back saying it was a minor issue and only ended up costing us $300. Fantastic service and will be bringing my wife's car back to them for everything.
Great experience, Sami made sure everything went quickly and smoothly and I managed to get setup in a new car with just one appointment.
If I could give zero stars, I would. While the vehicle we bought is great and the salesman we had was good, the finance 'manager' was the worst I have ever experienced!! We decided to finance because the rate was good. He took all of our details and then had me sign the application and on the application it had a highlight for me to waive the disability insurance?? He didn't even mention disability insurance on the loan, so I'm not sure how he would know I wanted to waive it. I asked him about it because I am self employed and having disability insurance would be a good thing. He said 'I don't know anything about it. I've never sold it. I don't know how to do it.' WHAT?? You have it, your offer it, but because you don't know how to process it and you don't know anything about it to sell it, you automatically have clients waive it? I told him I wanted to think about it, if I wanted the insurance and the extended warranty. He said he would find out how to do it while we waited for the car to be ready to pick up. 4 days later we arrive to get our new car and all the documents are completed for signature. We decided we wanted the extended warranty AND the insurance. He redid the documents to include the warranty, but no insurance. I said I wanted the insurance. He claimed AGAIN that he did not know how to process it, but that we should take the car, he will redo the documents and e-mail me new documents with the insurance. I said 'Really, you can do that AFTER I take the car?' When he walked away, I told my husband there was no way I was getting insurance on this loan. Sure enough, I didn't. When I went in to discuss it 2 weeks later, he says 'There must have been a misunderstanding'. Nope! He blatantly ignored my wish for insurance. Sadly, I will never deal with Otto's Suburu again as I can't trust them. He is the 'Business MANAGER'! What??!! I wonder what they will say if I get hurt or sick and have to come to them to make my car payment?? Great car though :))
I have only been to the parts department. They are nice people
Best Subaru dealer in Ottawa. They are honest and friendly. They offer a very professional service.
Firstly, I came here from another dealership. I had no problems with the other dealership. But I heard about Otto's commitment to customers so I when I went for my 5th Subaru, I decided to try here for the first time. The moment I arrived, I already felt the warmth when each staff greeted me. Kelsey at the front desk was super warm and asked if I needed help. At this point, I was kind of still on "test" mode, so I said no and just walked around. (Later on, as I had more interactions with Kelsey, she is one of those staff that simply and naturally helps you feel comfortable) Looked at the new wheels they had around. I then made my way to get some water and say some treats and found out that they had a kitchen in the back and these treats were made fresh. HIGHLY recommend the treats! Then I sat in the Outback 3.6R - the car I ended up buying. It was right in front of the guy who ended being my sales guy - Sami Musleh. He greeted me and asked if I needed any assistance or if anyone was helping me. I welcomed his help and he started with asking me about my needs. Did not feel any pressure at all. I talked about how my kids are teenagers and we need more space for sports and butts! But more importantly, I wanted a car that I felt would be safe as I take my elderly mom around often. We went further to discuss performance needs and the challenges I want to avoid or overcome. With a few options presented, I decided to wait for the 2018 Outback 3.6R Premium. What I really liked was that Sami really made sure he did his best to get my the exact car I wanted. That I did not settle. He then went to work and reserved a car for me. The personal touch continues as he kept me abreast on where the car was and all that is happening with the car - for example, that it is going to rust-proofing a particular day and that the car would be ready to roll on a particular date. He continually asked if there was anything that else that he can assist me with. Mark Evans, the finance lad, is also a world-class man. He was not aggressive and sales-y when we were discussing other needs. Once you meet him, you'll see how he is simply a caring man who wants the best for his clients. On the day I picked up the car, I learnt that there was a team dedicated for delivery and the process was ever-so smooth. Joy took over but you can tell the entire team worked together like the mechanics of a classic quality handmade watch. She informed me that the dealership makes a donation with every purchase and there was a list of charities I could choose from or designate a new one. Thought that was awesome. She walked through the entire process with me, made sure i was comfortable with the car, ensured my phone was connected for safety and made adjustments to car features to fit my needs, like how the car unlocks. She also booked my first oil change right away! One less thing to think about. The room in the back where the delivery took place was ultra clean and with a kitchen in the back - you can smell the fresh baked goods. I received a wonderful gift from them - a basket with a ton of goodness including tools and even a CD for the ride. The following day, Sami took the time to reach out to me to ensure all was running smooth and ensured that he was there for me in case I needed anything. I've never written a review this comprehensive but really felt compelled to do so as I was simply blown away by the service.
My husband and I leased a Subaru Forester from Otto's and are extremely happy with it! We had shopped around to several other dealerships in Ottawa looking for one that would suit our needs, and finally became tired of the process. I started emailing dealerships instead of going in and wasting valuable time. Sami Musleh from Subaru was not only the first to respond to my emails, but was the only salesperson I had dealt with who offered me as much information as I wanted / needed to know, without pressuring me to come in. He was extremely professional, and friendly, and was the main reason we chose Subaru.
There are many reasons why I have been with Subaru and Otto’s since my first car in 2010 and one of those reasons are their staff. Eric Laflamme St. Jean went above and beyond for us and informed us on the little things that I feel many other companies don’t take the time to do and is so valuable for the customer.
I bought my car at a Montreal dealership and decided to have it serviced at Otto's since they seemed to have decent reviews. Seems like I was wrong. One my very first service, I specifically asked for Motul synthetic oil for all my oil changes. I was told that was not a problem. After a couple of changes, I noticed on my bill that there was no mention at all about Motul synthetic.. only synthetic oil was mentioned. After asking the rep what kind of oil they we're putting, he couldn't tell me! A couple of months later on another oil change, asked the same question to another rep, he said we'll it's Kendall synthetic...I said I wanted Motul from the start. The rep started arguing with me that I never said that... SERIOUSLY? Any ways, that's only one thing amongst others. Always had issues getting things done under warranty. I've had a squeaking sound coming from my rear suspensions for 2 years now...every time I ask them to look at it, they come back saying nothing's wrong but they can hear the squeaking... after a couple of tries, I just gave up. I'll end by saying this...you can't buy customer satisfaction with coffee and pastries! Try giving better service in the garage and from your reps!
Sami Musleh You are awesome!! Our household purchased 3 vehicles this year at Otto’s Subaru. After the great experience we had with Sami and the first purchase we didn’t hesitate to return and have recommend Sami to friends and family! From …
I was helped by Sami M. at Otto's and the experience was great, I purchased a 2018 outback. Sami is not only a great salesman, but also a friendly, knowledgeable, and sensible person. I would highly recommend Sami to anyone looking for a Subaru!
They are dishonest. Beware of what they do to your car. I booked an appointment for a CVT FLUSH. Waited three weeks and then instead of CVT flush they did Drain and Fill (completely different procedure). I feel cheated by Otto's. Even the work order states "Replace automatic Transmission Fluid" Not "Drain and fill". Drain and fill does not replace all the fluid in CVT , but just around 6L of new fluid is mixed with the old CVTF. How is the CVT fluid replaced by Drain and Fill ?! Was told by the mechanic they do not do FLUSH CVT as they don't have the machine and the recommended by Subaru procedure is to drain and fill. Well, if I was told initially by the service representative that they don't have a flush machine, I was not going to book an appointment with them. Now, I have $300 less and mixed old and new CVT fluid.
Busy dealership, long waits for service. You can be the first one in the door for a simple tire or oil change and expect to wait 2+ hours.
Wonderful experiance buying our 3rd car from here! we consistently get great service and help from the entire staff but our prefferred sales personnel is Sami - he's helpful, takes care of a lot of concerns without even having to ask and is always ready to help out! Would highly recommend!
It's been a month since we've had our Crosstrek Subaru and our friend Sami just emailed to find out how we like our new ride. We are very happy with "Maude," our Crosstrek 2019 and the sales consultant checking up on us. Thanks Sami, we love "Maude."
We've been servicing our Forester at Otto's for years now. We always felt we were treated with professionalism and fairness. When it was time to buy a new car we were advised by the service centre and referred to Sami. We really liked his zero pressure approach to sales. Sami was well informed and accommodated our needs. The whole process was quick, easy, smooth and enjoyable. We plan to stick with Otto's for sales and service in the future!
You always get wonderful service at Otto's, if you're thinking of purchasing a Subaru this is the place to be. The staff is so welcoming as they take the time to answer your questions.
Don’t work with this service department unless you like to have your vehicle kept for weeks at a time without being worked on. Consider yourself warned.
My experience at Otto's Subaru was/is nothing short of stellar, if you are looking for a vehicle, see Sami - he goes above and beyond. Thank you for the excellence service and experience.
I had a great experience purchasing a new Subaru thanks to Patrick Landriault and the rest of the team. They were friendly and helpful throughout the process, and I am thrilled with the vehicle.
Very good service. After sales service is not a mince word for Subaru. Regular maintenance a bit expensive here though.
Horrable. Booked an appointment 2 weeks in advance for a transmition fluid change, rear differential oil change and an engin oil change and to have an odd noise inspected. I showed up 20 mim early and was there for 2 hours and at the end they told me they dident have the proper parts in stock to complete my tranny and diff fluid changes and blamed the noise on my aftermarket muffler. I know for a fact that the muffler is not the issue. Its either a bad u-joint or a bad rear axle. The only thing that was done to my car in 2 hours was a dam oil change. And about a month ago i was there to have a speaker inspected and replced under warranty because it was clearly blown, i played a song for the advisor and you could clearly hear it buzzing and rattling And he said it was fine. This dealorship will do anything in its power to deny warranty on your car. never coming back to this place. I would rather drive an hour and a half to oglvie.
I bought a Subaru from Otto's and was pleased with the process. I used their online service booking system this week, received an online receipt of my appointment having chosen it from their online availability calendar. So 2 days later, no call back to confirm or speak to me about my scheduled appointment..4 phone calls to dealer to be sent each time to the answering service of Stephanie Chouinard. Messages left..no call back from her..I'm kind of shocked by this poor level of service..I guess too much time at dealer cookie counter for Stephanie and no time to do her job properly...
Service prices are a little steep, and I've had lugnuts come off a little while after a servicing. Service centers, dentists, and vets all seem like they see you as a money well that they have to pump for $$$, so I may be biased against them.
Had a great experience at Otto's Subaru. Sami our sales consultant was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the vehicles. Took his time to answer our questions and got us a great deal on our Outback.
I used to be a customer of Subaru Outaouais and add extremely poor service with dishonest staff. but my experience with Otto's Subaru is nothing short of exceptional the staff is friendly honest and we'll take the time to answer questions about my vehicle. I strongly recommend skipping Subaru in Gatineau and going to straight for ottos.
You would think a place like Otto's Subaru with good ratings and positive reviews will give you a sense of trust within the company and the team. Unfortunately it is quite the contrary, If your not there to purchase a vehicle. YOU ARE WASTING THEIR TIME. On that note, expect the worst service. Otto's Subaru does not care about their customer service other than to make a sell and move on to the next customer. When faced with an issue, be ready to hunt for the service managers as they seem to be "too busy for you" and will gladly refuse to help and take no responsibility.
My experience with Otto’s Subaru goes back to October 2020, and the reason that I haven’t written my review earlier is that I was angry with their behaviour at that time, and I didn’t want to be unfair on them! Through my search for a car to purchase, I saw a Subaru Crosstrek 2016, call Otto’s Subaru and set a time for drive test and possible purchase. Everything went smoothly and I was happy about it! Then, I went there for test drive, drove the car, loved it, and negotiate for the price, and finally reach an agreement with the salesman! Afterward, I went to talk with their financial manager, and since I wanted to finance the car, checked the conditions for that! The next day, I got a call from the financial manager, checking my status in Canada (I was on work permit at that time waiting for my PR). Regarding that, he said that it will be a little bit difficult to finalize the contract, which totally made sense. But the problem was not my status or even not being able to get the car at the end. From the moment I got that call, their behaviour totally changed, since they didn’t consider my case a priority anymore! I mean, when my condition doesn’t work for getting the car, you can give me a call (takes 5 minutes), or at least send me an email explaining that situation (I’m sure they have many template email which doesn’t take that long to send) for the next 10 days, I was the one who should follow, ask them how everything is going, what’s the decision (of course I didn’t do that on a daily basis), and the financial manager was always unavailable! Finally after 10 days, I got a call from him, and he said sorry you can’t get the car regarding your condition! And I reluctantly thanked him for clarity! Then, the fun just begun, when I was surprised by their behaviour and level of unprofessionalism! When we finalize the preliminary contract, I paid 500 CAD as deposit which I expect to get after knowing that I can’t get the car. I got the money, but after 3 weeks of calling, emailing and trying to get one person on the phone to tell me how I should get my money back! The funniest thing happened when I call the assistant and explained the situation, and she said that we are busy for now, and that was the reason we didn’t return your calls. And I asked when I can get it back, and she said I’m not sure for now, because we have lots of work to do! I’m a polite guy, I don’t get angry or insult anyone, but honestly, I was tempted to talk in a way that I don’t like! I can say that they don’t care that much on customer service, if they see there will be a challenge on your situation. And about being super busy, I recommend them to go to a Honda/Toyota dealership to understand what busy means.
I went to Otto's by chance to try and find a Crosstrek and was greeted by Sami when I arrived. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and was able to track down and find me the Crosstrek of my dreams within a week of me giving him a list of requests. Definitely recommend visiting this dealership!
Phenomenal experience with the staff at Otto's. We went home with a beautiful Outback and couldn't be happier. Special thanks to our sales representative, Sami for the top notch service and making this a seamless process. See you again during our first scheduled service!
I recently purchased my first Subaru from Otto's. When I contacted Otto's to check the availability of the car I wanted I was luckily (and thankfully) directed to Sami Musleh. I knew as soon as I spoke to Sami that I was in good hands. Sami was very informative and eager to help me without me feeling pressured at any time. Once I bought the car, Sami followed up to ensure that I was happy with my purchase and continues to help me any way he can. I would definitely recommend the car as much as I would recommend the service I received from the Otto's sales team (especially Sami) during the purchasing process.
Way too busy. Appointments take forever to get. I thought I was getting the real deal by going to the dealership for service to my Outback, but they drastically over diagnosed. Don't trust them for repairs over $500 - get a 2nd opinion. Now, I go across town to the other one. More polite, faster, less time and money spent on them.
Excellent service and good quality cars.Friendly, professional staff. Highly recommend this place.
Great experience over all when purchasing my Subaru. This dealership is far superior to the other one in Ottawa.
Patrick is a great ambassador, for both the dealership and the brand! He gave me all the time I needed to check out and test drive the vehicles I was interested in. I went back a number of times to test out multiple vehicles. He also did his best to work with my budget and considerations. Without any hesitation I would recommend the dealership and Patrick to anyone looking to join the Subaru family!
Service has been good by Otto's. Shuttle and car pickup service make it more convenient. They did some good will work for me on suspension after car was out of warranty. Got a bit of a runaround on some rust issues from Subaru Canada and Otto's stepped in and got it resolved..
UPDATE 23 SEPT: To their credit, Subaru's made things right in the end. After I placed a follow-up call on Friday still waiting for my tire, the service manager sent two employees to pick up my vehicle at work, bring it to Subaru, repair it, and bring it back to me. I've now wasted two mornings waiting for service at Otto's Subaru. The first time, I hopped on the shuttle back to Kanata (which was late) only to be called about 15 minutes later to say my car was ready. I was then stuck on the shuttle for over an hour to get back to Subaru while the driver took back roads and even stopped on a bank errand while I waited in the car. Kudos for the fast service, but could someone not have advised me to just WAIT? Could the bank run not have happened when there were no clients in the vehicle? So this time, I told them that if it would be 3 hrs or less, I'd wait and was advised to wait. So I did. Patiently. After 2.5 hours, I asked for an update, only to be told that the part they were supposed to be replacing WASN'T EVEN THERE! Between then and when I first called for service, Subaru had FOUR opportunities to let me know this crucial piece of info: when they confirmed the appointment the day before... when I checked in that morning... when i spoke to the service tech after check-in... anytime during the 2.5 hour I was waiting.... but no one said anything until I asked. When I asked how they were going to compensate for my having taken a morning off work to sit around for nothing, the service advisor basically shrugged. The third time I asked, he reluctantly said he'd talk to someone about it but offered me nothing firm. I left with my spare tire still on my vehicle, and now I will need to take another morning to go back and have it replaced.
Great experience here. I had gone to Ogilvie for a test drive and found the atmosphere and sales quite pushy. On the advice from Google reviews, I spoke with James Hubbard and he immediately resolved the concerns I left Ogilvie with. Everyone we encountered, from reception to finance, was friendly and helpful. I knew exactly which vehicle I wanted and I appreciated James' straightforward manner. He gave us plenty of space to make decisions but made sure we had all the information we needed. Delivery was very organized, despite us having our young kids with us which I'm sure made things more difficult. Would definitely recommend!
Visited to examine a specific vehicle model. Sales rep was excellent. Informative, listened to my interests and provided relevant information. Even had some jokes with several sales reps. Was actually a very pleasant experience.
Great service and knowledge of the cars. Didn't feel pushy in the least. Got just what I needed, no more, no less. Truly personal service too which is super appreciated considering I live out of town. Simmy, Jordan, James and Rina were all awesome. Delivery was smooth and things were well explained. I don't like bothering people with questions but I don't feel like it would be a bother at all when asking my questions. 10/10 would recommend.
I have called long distance 3 times over the past week - explaining to the receptionist that I want to prepay for services as a Christmas gift for my senior parents. I get put through to service - wait on hold for 10 minutes while people repeatedly pick up the phone, say nothing and put me back on hold, only get put through to a voicemail. Horrible service - guess they don't want or need my money and I certainly don't want to send my senior parents there to have to deal with that. After dealing with the Subaru dealership in Orillia where I live which has always been fantastic this was utterly disappointing and unprofessional.
AMAZING SERVICE! Had a flat tire across the street in the Bushtukah parking lot at 5pm on Friday. Went over, asked for help, 20 mins later tire was repaired and I was on my way. Super friendly and accomadting.
I just leased my first Subaru and had an amazing experience at Otto’s. Phillip happily served me when I walked in the door less than 30 minutes to closing. He was formerly in the service department - I love when service people become sales people because they know what they are talking about. He didn’t try to upsell me on anything unnecessary and didn't use any “car salesmen” tactics like they did at another Subaru dealership I went to. They had the package and colour of Impreza that I wanted on the lot, so I had my new car in under a week. I really enjoyed the relaxed yet professional interaction I had with every person I dealt with at Otto’s. Thanks!!
Otto's Subaru service manager Carla is amazing! She takes to heart the safety and satisfaction of the customer and goes beyond expectations. The shuttle service is really convenient and their drivers offers an excellent service. I'm on my second lease with them and each time Christopher Martineau provided great services, helping me choose the model that fit my needs and budget.
Subarus have become expensive junk. Hopefully you never need to have work done on your vehicle and hope to have it covered under warranty....$40k+ for a vehicle and you're more often than not treated like dirt. Highly disappointed with the overall experience
The car buying experience, my second at Otto's, was outstanding. Great service, responsive staff and very relaxed atmosphere. My dealer (Imad Suliman) made a usually stressful negotiation experience easy. Communication throughout the buying process was excellent.
I've read some negative reviews about this place I have had nothing but great service from hard working people who go the extra mile to make things happen. They are busy with a lot of customers every day. There are a lot of Subaru's driving around this city, Ottos does a great job at trying to meet the demands of all those owners who show up want their problem fixed as soon as possible.
YMMV, my wife and I just purchased a used Subaru from Otto's. We had no problems booking a test drive (our first time trying a Subaru), and we were lucky that they had the vehicle we were looking for. Driving it off the lot was honestly one of the best car dealership experiences I've had. My thanks to Chris M and the rest of the team for making everything go seamlessly.
Well done Otto's and Sami M!! Fantastic sales person with integrity and honesty. Sami made my experience one of the best I've ever had when purchasing a vehicle. Will be referring all my friends and family and will return for a WRX!
Great experience buying a new Outback from Otto's. My salesman, Sami, was amazing to work with, he listened to what I was looking for and was very patient while I kept changing my mind. He was able to answer all my questions and provide an honest opinion. The Otto's team did a great job making sure the car looked amazing when I picked it up!
Friendly salesperson and sales manager. No pressure, very relaxing to look around the car. The way to get trade is and get a good price for your trade in is better then year ago. They try to get you best price.
They do have good customer service and while their prices for service aren't egregious, they are not too bad. I love Subaru vehicles, and get mine serviced here for convenience even though I could probably get a better deal at an independent garage.
So far so good not quite done yet. They've been really easy to work with so far, zero pressure, available, prices are exactly what you see online, and test drives are solo which work really well. Will see after I have the vehicle but so far it's been the best car buying experience I've had.
We just bought our second Subaru from Sami M. at Otto's and I would recommend to ask for him specifically. Sami kept in touch with us over the last 3 years (since we bought our first car there) and really knew what we needed in our second car and he made sure we decided on the right car that we have no regrets with. The dealership is very clean, well organized and the Service Department is good too for doing your maintenance. We like to deal with the Service Advisor Eric, he is very courteous, efficient and understanding. They have a great team at Otto's!
I purchased my first Subaru vehicle in my life last year on a friend's recommendation. In the first few days driving my vehicle, I already was experiencing issues with some of the electronics. The issue was rectified the same week, but I continue to have a loose connection with my phone to the USB port (so it's not fixed). In my most recent service appointment, I booked well in-advance. I had initially booked a tire and an oil change with tire storage, and was quoted 250$ CAD for everything. While booking, I was asked if I would be waiting for the work to be done; they stated that it would be much quicker if I decide to wait. The individual estimated 1.5-2hrs maximum for the appointment, so I agreed to do so. A few days before the appointment, I was a bit short on free-income, so I decided to keep my appointment, but remove the oil change service, leaving only the tires to be changed and stored. To be frank, I was quite surprised to hear that a tire change was going to take 90 minutes when I dropped my vehicle off, considering I booked well in advance. After 90 minutes, I returned to get my vehicle, but was shocked to hear that it was going to take at least another 45 minutes before they were done. This is unacceptable. As a customer, I believe I was more than responsible by booking in advance, dropping off my vehicle on-time, and picking it up on-time. I know a tire change doesn't take two hours, considering there are experienced mechanics, tools and equipment to get the job done quickly. There's a business in Aylmer, QC which is a 'mobile tire-change service'. In the past, this man would arrive in my driveway with his vehicle (by appointment), and change my tires in no more than 10-15 minutes. He was also working alone. I took time off work to bring my vehicle into the dealership, and I had a medical appointment in Quebec for 3:20pm. I had to reschedule that appointment because my tire change left me waiting for two solid hours. I wasn't out of there until at least 3pm, and I dropped the vehicle off at 1pm. It doesn't end there though... My service advisor calls me over to pay the invoice. Again, I am shocked to see that I owe 214$ CAD! I was initially quoted 250$ with an oil change, so I felt like I was being taken advantage of or being overcharged. I wasn't offered any apology or a discount for these issues, so I politely requested a discount. The service advisor granted me 55$ off my bill, give or take. It was a kind action, but one that wasn't offered. To be fair, with all of the issues I've been experiencing with my vehicle and the dealership, I'm just simply not impressed. Sometimes I wish I didn't trade my previous vehicle in. EDIT: Otto's Subaru phoned me within a few hours from the time I submitted this review. They apologized for the experiences and inconveniences I had during the appointment mentioned above. However, no discounts or refunds were offered.
We just bought our first car at Otto's with the help of James Hubbard, and it won't be the last. Can't say enough nice things about the experience: no pressure, understood our needs, and the entire team was extremely accommodating — even though we had a tired toddler along for the ride. Excited to have our new Crosstrek!
YOU SHOULD READ THIS! If I had rated this dealer at my first visit, I would have given it 5 stars... When I signed the contract to rent a 2016 Forester, the customer service was impeccable. They put attention to the smallest details and made the transaction feel like a breeze. But by the end of the first summer, the AC broke down. I called to book an appointment. All the lines where busy (get used to it! They always are!) so I left a message. I never got a call back. After a few weeks, I left another message and never got a call back. Eventually, I drove all the way over there(1hr. drive) to speak to an actual human. They said they were sorry and that they would fix the AC, but the parts(450$+) would'nt be covered under waranty and they could'nt explain why it would'nt be covered by the waranty. I decided to leave and live without AC for the 2nd year. By the start of the 3rd year, the paint on the rear hatch started to bubble up and rust in several places (see pictures). A 2 year old car with a rusted hatch is something I've never even heard of before. I called to get it serviced under warranty and figured I would get the AC fixed at the same time, even if it meant paying the parts out of my pocket. They said they needed to take pictures of the hatch and that the next appointement available would be in 3 weeks. I told them that I was at 58 000km, that I was going on a trip to nova-scotia and that by then, I would probably past the 60 000km waranty limit. I even proposed to push my trip to nova-scotia to keep the car within warranty for the apointment. They said: No problem, have a good trip!. The appointment came and I brought the car in (at 63 000km) so they took pictures of the rear hatch and fix the AC. I was told that the AC malfunction was caused by a known problem with the compressor and it was recalled under the waranty over a year ago. But they never contacted me about that recall. I was annoyed but happy to finally get it fixed. After they fixed the AC, they wanted me to pay for the parts, because I was now passed the warranty. I could'nt beleive it. I showed them all my gas receipt from Nova-Scotia and explained that we already had an agreement in that regard. I categorically refused to pay. Eventually, they agreed to cover it under warranty. 3 months later, and still no follow up for the rear hatch and no one ever answered my voicemails and e-mails. I called repeatedly for an hour until someone answered. I explained the situation. they put me on hold for 15 min, and hang-up the line. I called back until someone answered and they told me that they could'nt follow up because the needed pictures (even though they made me bring the car in so they could take picture 3 month earlier). We agreed that I would take the picture and send them via e-mail. And so I did. Another 2 months later and no follow up. At this point, its been 5 months since the first inspection for the rust problem and they failed to follow-up at every single step. Contacting them is hardly possible unless you show up at the garage (I live 1hr away). My rental contract is almost done and I can't wait to give them the car back. Totally unacceptable. Update: The rust is apparently environemental and it wont be covered. I guess the lesson is that subarus are not meant to be driven outside if you dont want it to rust by its 2nd year?!?!
Just a shout out for Imad who was the salesperson I dealt with for the purchase of my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. He was so helpful and answered all my questions and concerns. Consequently, I am a very happy new car owner. Thank You Imad!
I couldn't be happier with Otto's. I dealt with Sami Musleh and I highly recommend him. Everyone at Otto's is extremely professional and make buying a car super easy. I'm on my third car from them and I'll never go anywhere else. Don't go anywhere else and make sure you ask for Sami!
Thanks a lot to Otto's Subaru for the help and HUGE thanks to Éric Laflamme from sales for the excellent service provided. Very professionnel and helpful ! Definitely recommend this location.
Great service great presentation of vehicle Chris Martineau was great Straightforward simple made the process of coming from Honda to Subaru quite pleasant I received a gift basket with wine and a tool gift and others little knickknacks was appreciated I highly recommend this dealership very welcoming and very honest
There has been a huge increase in customer focus that I have noticed. Although, I find it pricey to have my vehicle serviced. I don't see standardized pricing listed anywhere. Also, I'm disappointed in my 2015 Forrester's reliability... My 2005 was amazing it lasted 10 years with only regular maintenance. I've already replaced the engine & rear struts on my 2015... I'm not impressed by Manufacturer quality moving forward.
For anyone who lives in Quebec, specifically in Montreal and wants to purchase a Subaru, go to Otto's and ask for James. I did not have to leave my home in Montreal and he took care of everything. Even negociating on the phone we save well over any of the dealers in Montréal. When I picked up the car, they even surprised me with a gift basket. That by far the best service ever, thank James.
I love my Subaru. Sales and service are good, and a special 5 star thank you to Patrick Landriault who took extra time on a Friday afternoon to teach me how to use a special feature no one else knew how to access (concerning my tailgate closing). Well done!
In my experience employees at most car dealerships seem to hate their life, endlessly waiting for the next "victim" like a vulture, or simply hating to be of any service. This is NOT the experience I've had at Otto's Subaru. From the moment I placed the call, I've got a pleasant vibe, and this was extended when I walked into the dealership. The place was buzzing like a beehive with staff, customers, and plenty of smiles and laughter to go around - there was even a very cute tiny old Japanese Subaru pickup that seems to rival shopping carts for size. The parts gentleman I dealt with Clark Soro was super friendly over the phone and in person, and has even helped with part installation instructions and more. I'm not sure whether it's the dealership management that's great, or is it the touch of Subaru magic - but this place is definitely worth checking out. -George
I'm not sure where to start. The $45k 2014 XT that's in the shop all the time, or the brutal service that makes me feel I'm an annoying customer. Service review example: I get dragged to the shop for another warranty repair. I have kids. We are both working parents - it's a massive pain in the ass. "It's ok sir, we will have a courtesy car waiting for you." Only to find that was a lie, and that they would provide me with a rental instead, AND it's not at the dealership. So now I'm waiting for a rental car guy to pick me up at the dealer (1hr), bring me to the rental car place, wait (1.5hrs) to get rental. All is well, right? Ha! No. Upon returning rental, Otto's wouldn't cover the whole rental car bill!! Can you believe that? Like I was ripped from my office, dragged here, lost half a day at work and paid for rental charges I never wanted or needed. Just unbelievable. Total damage that day: $250 loss of income, $118 rental charges = $368. The manager did not bat an eye at the possibility of covering my rental car fees. Vehicle review: My 2014 subaru only has 50,000 kms on it. Since new it's had seats, transmissions and 6 stereos replaced (among other things). Just horrendous tech in-car (like from 1995), and it doesn't even warm up very well in winter. I do not recommend this vehicle to anyone. Is it fast? Yes. Does it handle well? Yes. That's where my praise ends. -Trunk will not, and has never closed properly. -It cannot tow anything really other than a tiny utility trailer (Tow hitch is $700) -Runs properly only on Premium gas and has brutal mileage - Car seats don't fit well -My other car, a Honda sedan has twice the trunk storage -Wipers are loud and bang off windshield seals -Headlights are super dim and you'll be replacing them -Carpets can't be cleaned, they are super cheap and thin -Armrest is completely useless for storage, it's deep and confined -the Tech (bluetooth, stereo, interaction, etc) is the worst I've ever encountered. It really is embarrassing. -There is so much more. I will never buy a Subaru again. Pricey for the crap you get. Friends of mine bought a Mitsubishi Outlander and paid half the price (gently used) with mega-tech inside, HIDs, Huge towing capacity. If you are interested in something like this, I would go that route first. Want more info? Please feel free to email me with any questions.
Recent issues with service management. The last two service visits I had to return due to engine light warnings. Maybe just coincidence. The first time I returned immediately, was told no mechanics were available, that I should not drive, and that I could get a loaner ... the next day! I pressed and got a loaner, and was advised I might have to pay for it. I refused. Yesterday I was zinged $400 for a sensor that failed due to oil buildup. I was ready to pay but as I inquired about the cause he pulls up my maintenance record. I am religious about maintenance but he finds one instance in which my oil change was done at 11000 versus the usual 8000 and says that was likely the cause! Seriously?! I used to buy Chrysler cars until they started nickeling and dimeing me at the service department. Sami, if you're reading this, take note.
Booked an appointment online at 8AM for 6mth/10k service. Got a call from Otto's after dropped off the car. They told me to pick up the car at 4PM which clearly threw me off. I was expecting to pick it up in an hour. They told me I chose to pick up at 4PM which I clearly did not - I did not recall there were options available. I told them I had no way to get home unless they finished the service asap. After waiting 2.5 hrs, it was ready. I went home and check their online booking again. The only option they have is "I have a ride". What does that even mean? This is my first service experience and is not a good one.
The service department is overbooked, simple service (in their own words) took 7 hours to complete. This is my first time and the last time to go there for service. The other dealer is only 15 minutes walk to a big shopping mall, at least it's much easier and warmer to kill 7 hours there. (The last time I was there, my service took about three hours to get done.)
I have had a good experience with Otto's so far. We bought our Outback in January. I am a bit disappointed with the mileage my Outback gets but I won't take that out on the dealer. Chris in sales has been a very nice person to deal with. I have dealt with the service department too as the steering wheel was a bit off from the factory. The service was very quick and the steering wheel is adjusted perfectly now. They got my wife to work very quickly with their shuttle service. Update - I have had a steady decline in quality service at Otto's since Mar 2014. In addition to regular servicing, I have had my car in 4 times for a squealing serpentine belt. No exaggeration. 4 times. So far they have replaced the power steering pump, 2 idler pulleys and the belt itself. The last time they "sanded" the serpentine belt. That "fixed" the problem for less than a week. The belt has been squealing 40% of the time we have owned the car. They either don't have the expertise to fix a simple problem or don't care to while my car is under warranty. One would think they would understand how bad it makes them look when my fairly new car with their sticker on it is making such a horrible squealing racket as it rolls by. Update - The belt squeal has finally been fixed after 5 visits to the service department.
April 2018 - Sami did it again... yeah.. he rocked our world again. Bought are 2 wrx with an accurate and intelligent price that my girlfriend and I were happy, gave us awesome service and a good deal on our new Outback. Thanks again Sami. If you doubt your sellers, go see Sami, his authenticity will make you smile and get a great experience, good deal and you'll enjoy even more your new vehicule. Sami, from now to 3-4 years will see you again(hopefully at Otto's) to buy another WRX! Thanks again! June 2015 - Sami rock ! I got the best service so far when buying a car, I bought 4 brand new car in the past and this is my 5th. Good team behing him and subaru offer awesome and reliable cars! Thanks again Sami!
We were very disappointed with our service at Otto's Subaru. We were actively searching for a used Subaru to buy, and we came in with a few options from their website that we were interested in. When we walked in, none of the employees greeted or approached us. When we approached an employee, he said he had someone currently test driving so someone else had to help us. There were about three salesmen sitting at their desks next to him and NONE of them wanted to take us. When one of them finally agreed, we shared with him which cars we were looking at and our price range. He searched those models on his computer, and blatantly told us they had all been sold. He did not offer us any other options to look at or test drive. We awkwardly left, and decided to check out the Subaru dealership in Outaouais instead. They were great and helped us find and buy our new car. I will not be returning to Otto's for service or repairs.
Bad experience trying to buy a Impreza. Salesperson was generally confusing and dishonest to deal with, when we tried to negotiate on price he came back and said we had a deal, it was actually a counter offer, but he kept saying “don’t worry about the numbers”. On top of that there were the usual lines about how he wouldn’t even earn any commission on this great deal. Lastly when they appraised by trade in they claimed the bottom was full of rust holes without even putting it on the lift. I work on my own car and knew this was wrong, had it safetied by a reputable shop the next day and mechanic had no idea what they could possibly be referencing. As bad an experience as could possibly be had. Ultimately walked out.
Sami is simply the best! Before, during and after, what service! It's my 2nd Subaru at Otto's... and I'll never go anywhere else for a car!
I am really happy with my service at Otto's Subaru. The staff is courteous and professional. They. Care about customers and Subaru. The showroom is bright, well stocked with current offerings, and even an old Sambra. Very fun to look at.
Just picked up my Subie @ Otto's Subaru!!! I love it. So much fun to drive. Sami M. (for Marvelous), was fun, knowledgeable and upfront(transparent) through the whole process. Can't ask for anything more. When my SUV was ready to be picked up... i have to say, the delivery was the best part. It was shiny and i got a awesome thank you gift. I recommend you see SAMI at Otto's! he's worth visiting if you need a Subaru and a great time buying a Vehicle.
Couldn’t be more happy with @ottos_subaru @ottos_bmw’s services. Always the best. While the Impreza was getting fixed due to a lasting engine problem, they gave us the 2019 Outback, which is an incredible loaner (totally recommended car for a family) and it we had a great time with it. Now Impreza is back and ready to be driven through this upcoming winter! Thanks all the Otto’s Subaru team for the attention once again, specially Simmy, Mathieu, Carla, Eric and all involved. Usually that makes a big difference in service when you have an issue and they try the best to solve it. Thanks @subarucanada for the amazing dealer service from @ottos_subaru
I've been a customer on and off at Otto's since 1999 (this is my 5th Subaru since) and have seen my share of the good and bad. If you are looking to buy or lease, I can strongly recommend Sami Musleh. We didn't know him at all prior to our purchase and he is the reason we went back to Otto's after our first test drive. Sami is a "good person" first and foremost and deals with each customer as if they are a priority and in a manner that leaves you confident you are making the right choice. He is personable, doesn't pressure in any way, and casually builds a good relationship with his clients. He made our buying experience extremely easy and pleasurable. Otto's Service Manager, Carla, also took the time to introduce herself to me and indicated they are working hard to address their service reputation. I can't fault the team for being proactive and confident they can meet my service expectations going forward so I'm going to give them a shot again and see how things go. Carla certainly seems like she is on the right track in this area.
A great experience at Otto's Subaru. Very professional and amazing service. Highly recommend! Thanks again for the courtesy.
All the other reviewers are correct avoid this dealership. I decided to ignore other reviews as well but if you also want to waste your time go ahead.I had an appointment for 8 waited till 830 . The sales rep had overbooked the worst part is they convinced me to go to a better dealership. Wasnt even offered a drink. the funniest part was 2 cars at that point came back from being repaired and it seemed like they didn't do the proper repair and other people were walking out as well not happy. I am also contacting subaru since i want to buy one and this dealership is scoundering resources its not fair . lets see what they have to say.
Excellent experience at Otto's Subaru! Professional and courteous service from start to finish from Sami, highly recommend!
For context, I really don’t like car shopping and we only test drove Subaru in the first place to rule it out. Sami made it easy from the moment we called to book a test drive. His first hand knowledge of all the features of the vehicle was impressive and he effectively related to our family’s needs. There was absolutely no pressure, not even a bit. He knew that we were considering all potential options. The fact that we purchased a new Ascent is a testament to two things: 1) the quality of the vehicle; and 2) beyond excellent customer service. Mark made the financial transaction as simple as clicking the “purchase now” button in the Amazon app. Seriously, I’m not joking. The thing I like even less than car shopping is new car delivery day! It’s all that paperwork and waiting around that drive me crazy. Thanks to Allison’s efficiency, we were in and out in no time at all and she’s offered for us to come back if we have any questions about how all the features work. Kind of like booking an appointment at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store. How genius is that? So, overall car buying experience, awesome! The buying experience has made me hopeful that servicing our Subaru will be as easy as dealing with the wonderful folks at Costco customer service. Thanks Sami, Mark and Allison!
My wife and I were disappointed with our experience trying to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. The salesperson used all the typical sales tricks, including "forgetting" to put in a discount we were entitled to until the very end of the process. When we decided to walk away, the salesperson seemed offended and was very curt with us. In the end, we went to another dealership and got a slightly better deal, but a much better customer experience.
We bought a brand new Ascent 3 months ago & the AC stopped working. I called the Service on a Friday, 19th July 2019, no one answered. On Monday I left a message with the Reception, who said they will get someone from Service to call back, still no answer. On Wednesday, I called again and was able to speak with someone, who scheduled me for an Appointment 3 weeks after. So basically, we will be in a hot car, without an AC in the peak of summer & what makes it worse is, that it’s new! Quiet disappointed as I had better expectations with the Brand and the Dealership which is the largest volume dealer in the country. I had been recommending this vehicle to all I spoke with :(
Edit: another great experience with Otto’s Subaru! They have leveraged any opportunity to make their service very accessible with regard to COVID19. The service department kept me up to date and did an excellent job of managing my expectations! I have never dealt with Subaru before and after my recent purchase of a used Subaru I decided to use them for its service and to complete one of the recalls. After a short web search I found their online booking system and proceeded to complete the booking. I was contacted via email the next morning and they were able to move my service a little sooner. Regular email reminders (not spam worthy amounts) kept me up to date. The check it was well handled and I was offered a shuttle but I decided to stay and wait (I was on vacation anyway and wanted to explore the area). My vehicle was completed in less than an hour; I had expected it to take much longer than that. The whole experience was very professional and expedient. To my surprise, not only did they get the service and recall done super quick, they also ran my ‘roo’ through a quick car wash as well. I will be using Otto’s again and think it will be worth it to keep updating this review. Well done Otto’s, you guys made a great first impression.
Just started looking for Crosstrek and visited Otto's Subaru. Wasn't going to buy right away as i wanted the best deal (play dealers against each other). I was armed with Average sold pricing for the model i wanted (not the MSRP). I entered the Dealership (it was nice not to have to make an appointment) got screened and offered hand sanitizers from a positive greeter named Simon. He then introduced me to Sami M. I was anticipating and ready, for a "full court press"... The pressure "to buy" never came. We had a great conversation about what i needed (wanted) and then he suggested the Trim level that he believed i would like. No Joke, i was very impressed by his knowledge and when we started on pricing... he showed me a price (taxes in) that was below what i had in mind! Completely threw me off my Car buy game. LOL. It wasn't the "steal" i was looking for... but the experience, the nice conversation and the price made me decide to buy now. All this took about 45min. Picked up my Beautiful Red Crosstrek Sport!!! 3 days later and i've been happy since. Now, My older driving kids want me to buy another one soon. LoL! i'll have to get an ugly color so i can keep it for myself. hahaha Sami, Mark and Simon were awesome. Thank You.
Great experience with Otto's Subaru. The entire team from the start has been great. Sami was my sales rep, and he was awesome. Incredibly helpful, and made sure I got exactly what i was looking for, despite the stock shortages all over Ontario. More importantly, after the sale was complete, Sami has continued to be extremely help including getting me a great deal on some extra accessories and doing all the leg work to get me booked in for new winter tires. Go to Otto's, they're great!
Great experiance and service Pat was a great sales person to deal with
I'm posting this review on behalf of my Aunt: "I just wanted to pass on my incredibly positive experience with Otto's Subaru and their sales rep Chris Martineau. It was flawless from the first point of contact until I drove my car home. Obviously the Subaru car speaks for itself... but the customer service was outstanding. Thank you."
Dealt with Sami! Great response time and very thorough. Product knowledge was on point and took the time to ask questions and listen. 5/5 would recommend to anyone looking for a Subaru!
Great service from Otto's Subaru. Patrick was friendly and made it easy to find my perfect new car. I love my Forester.
Recently purchased an Outback from a distance and Otto's Subaru made the whole process absolutely seamless and as easy as could be. We are so grateful to the entire team, especially Sami, for answering all our questions so thoroughly and promptly. From initial inquiry to vehicle delivery day, we felt absolutely comfortable and never once felt pressured. We will be referring all our friends to the Otto's team.
2013 Subaru legacy burning oil. Known problem to Subaru. 2 years later, 1 engine swap, lied to us about a 2nd engine swap, and it's still burning oil. Worst car we've ever owned. What's made it worse is the lies and deceit from the service department.
Sami Musleh provided exceptional client service from beginning to end. My wife and I were looking to purchase a second vehicle and Sami’s style is the perfect combination of professional and genuinely helpful. We had many questions, all of which Sami answered honestly and at no time did we feel pressured to buy. In the end, we did purchase our vehicle from Otto’s and we could not be more pleased with the service. We will definitely go back to Sami when it’s time to purchase our next Subaru. Special thanks also to Mark Evants (Business Manager), Holly Beck (Delivery Coordinator) and Caitlin O`Garr (Reception). All of them provided 5-star client service.
I just picked up my 2021 Crosstrek Outdoor Pure Red yesterday and I’m loving every inch of that vehicle. Mr. Salih Tinmaz helped me with it and Mr. Mark Evans is so helpful with my credit. I am happy I went to Otto’s to buy my first bnew vehicle. ☺️☺️☺️ Thank you!!!
5* - service and luxury experience. The experience at Otto's was fantastic. I've previously purchased from BMW and Mercedes, but this was by far the most memorable and attentive service I've ever received. I went in with a trade in and had a seamless and pleasant purchasing experience. The salesperson, Chris, was a no pressure type of person who was attentive to my needs. He went above and beyond to ensure I was matched with the vehicle I wanted and explained all the features that matched what I was looking for. There were no attempts to upsell packages I did not require, nor protections that are big dealership money makers. To top it off, we received a gift basket after delivery and had a very much personalized delivery experience. I'd highly recommend giving the dealership a visit and working with Chris to explore the Subaru option. 5* all around.
Just went in to look at Subaru as an option, and were ignored for 30 minutes. We waited for 20 minutes in the showroom and we were not approached or asked if we needed help. After 20 minutes I asked reception for someone to assist us and nobody came. Not sure why we were not helped, but we left and won't be returning.
Just another dealership in need of your money. If you are looking for a Subaru definitely go to Otto's subaru instead of the Ogilvie Subaru. However I prefer Ogilvie service department as they are open weekends.
I am a bit of a car junkie, and have owned many vehicles over the course of my life. Never before have I ever gone through a sales experience like the one I had at Otto's. I was helped by Phillip, who is easily one of the most knowledgeable salespeople I have met in this industry, and was so blown away by his service that I purchased a vehicle on the spot. The sales manager gave me an incredibly fair price for my trade-in vehicle (the amount I would have sold it for privately I might add), and the experience was pressure free from start to finish. The prices are fair, the knowledge and service is elite, and it doesn't even feel like you're at a car dealership at times. If you're looking for a relaxing sales experience and an automotive brand that has recently been ranked higher than both Toyota and Honda in reliability, then you need to pay this dealership a visit. I would send all my friends and family here without hesitation. Thank you!
Awful. Went in, they took pictures of my vehicle to put up on an online auction site to see what they could get so we could make a deal. After numerous phone calls and emails I never heard back from them. And this is 3 emails and 3 calls. Save your time and go to Ogilvie!
Last week, Subaru sent me a letter informing me about an airbag recall on the passengers side of my vehicle. I've made a total of 4 attempt to schedule an appointment for this matter with Otto's Subaru. Everytime I have called the reception, I would explain why I am calling and she would transfer me to the service department. The service department wasn't reachable so it would redirect my call back to the reception. She ask for my information, and tells me I would get a call back in half an hour or so. I never got a call ! Repeat that experience 4 times. I am still waiting for the phone call so I can schedule my appointment for an airbag recall! Thanks Otto's Subaru. What a joke!
We were extremely pleased with the service Otto's Subaru gave us. In no time at all Sami found us what we were looking for, and in such a competitive market right now, was able to deliver in two weeks. Extremely organized and professional, made sure everything was in order as soon as possible. Thank you very much! Consider a Subaru if you're looking around.
Highly recommend Otto's - my lease expired, so I was able to negotiate equity to put towards a new lease agreement. I am very satisfied with the whole process - it went smoothly, and with minimal effort on my part. James Hubbard is an excellent sales and lease consultant - he is personable, professional, and knowledgeable. This was the most stress-free car experience, and I'm grateful for James' support, as well as the amazing financial manager - Simmy Wu :)
Just wanted to rave a bit about Sami Musleh and Otto Subaru. I've been a service client of Otto Subaru since 2013, and owner of one Subaru or another since 1996. This is my first purchase at Otto and it was a great experience. Sami and I have been talking about a new car for about 7 years. He was very patient with me (I kept changing my mind). When the 2022 Outback Wilderness came out I had to have it, and Sami made it happen for me. Great family guy. No pressure. Very knowledgeable. Very friendly. I highly recommend him. I usually don't do reviews. BTW, the 2022 is amazing.
Normally I would say buying a car sucks, this was a different experience. Sami Muslem Helped us with everything we needed to find the perfect SUV. Even when being picky with colour and trim he was still able to pull it off. John Katchikian was able to set up the deal perfectly being very responsive when the banks required more paperwork, keeping the deal going smoothly and sticking to schedule. Then on delivery day you get a delivery coordinator to make the experience wonderful. I had Allez Jetha and he was amazing. Flew through the processing being thorough and patient. Installed the plates helped install my seat protectors. Even when I decided to go buy more accessories he stuck with me until the transaction were done and i drove off.. Incredible Customer Service Otto's Subaru..
I just had the best experience purchasing my Subaru from Otto’s! Nan was perfect to work with and went over and beyond to get my business. She never made the process feel rushed. Followed up and gave me such a great gift basket with the car. John was also fantastic! Explaining everything in detail and again, not rushing me out the door like other dealerships in town. Strongly recommend paying Nan a visit.
Sami will treat you like gold. He explains everything and doesn't hide behind complicated terminology or confusing fees. His honesty makes the whole process so smooth and easy. Buying a new car can be stressful, but after dealing with Sami you will feel relieved.
This will be my 3rd vehicle from Otto's. I exclusively use Sami, as he's always been super professional, honest, and trustworthy. I highly recommend him if you want quality customer service, and a great car at an excellent price.
We are so happy with our first Subaru purchase. The staff at Otto's made the experience enjoyable and memorable. We want to thank Sami, Peter and Mark for making this purchase so easy. Otto's goes above and beyond what other dealerships do and make you feel like you joined their family. Thank you for the amazing experience!
Just spoke with an extremely RUDE sales person on the phone about a potential trade in for my WRX. When I mentioned that I was looking to get a certain price that was ALREADY ESTABLISHED from another Subaru dealership in Ottawa - he then basically offered me the most pathetic price imaginable that was borderline laughable and he was absolutely condescending and rude. Learn some customer service skills considering the industry you are in. I will GLADLY never shop here and will take my trade to Ogilvie Subaru. Poor taste fully understand the negative reviews.
Our experience with Otto's and Sami Musleh was amazing! This was our first Subaru and we purchased our Outback for its superior handling in the snowy conditions of Ottawa and its quiet ride. Sami was awesome, very attentive and helpful. We decided on a lease for our needs and Sami walked us through the process step by step. Thanks Sami!
Takes them 4 hours to do an oil change and never returns phone calls. When you call and they say they will have someone call you back it just won’t happen. I once spent 3 weeks trying to get a hold of them.
I've purchased 2 vehicles from Otto's in the last 5 years and everyone I've interacted has been awesome, from the sales staff, service, financing, management, and more. I went with 4 stars instead of 5 since I recently had an issue with a service order that was difficult to resolve. Ultimately, Otto's service manager corrected the situation and went out of her way to make it right. I'll for sure be using them again come time for a new vehicle.
They sell you cars. What can I say? Service is mixed. They generally do what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it. That’s something I suppose.
Amazing service, not pushy, unexpected donation to charity of choice, plus wine and gifts for no reason other than purchasing car from them. Nice trade in value. Very impressed. Thanks to Salih, Simmy & Xiao for a great customer experience.
Sami Musli (sales) has been very patient/ professional and understanding with the car shopping experience .
Leased 2 different WRX's from Otto's - their salesman Sami was professional, courteous and delivered service with a smile. I can't say enough about the work he did to make this an excellent experience. If you want a Subaru, look no further than Sami at Otto's!
I bought my first car and referred two friends of mine to this dealership too. My dealer Ping was always patient and friendly with me. They usually have complimentary short eats and coffees. I just wish they had better books and magazines to read while waiting till services are done. ????????♂️
Tried calling the parts department. No answer. Went to the general reception and she tried to put me through - 3 times - before taking my info with a promise to pass it along. No call back. I guess my money is not good enough for them.
One of the best car buying experiences I ever had. Joe (Joudeh Shawkat) is an extremely helpful and professional salesman, a true gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. The same can be said about the Financial Advisor Mark Evans. The whole atmosphere at Otto's Subaru is fantastic.
Had such a great experience purchasing our first Subaru! Andres was very lovely to work with. He was very helpful and informative. There was no pressure in purchasing the car at all. We will definitely be back for future car purchases! Thanks so much!
We were very pleased with our experience at Otto's Subaru in Westboro. James was wonderful helping us find a vehicle even with the supply shortgages. We did not feel pressured at all which was important to us. Highly recommend!
Picked up a new Crosstrek on a lease, very pleased with the service and attention to detail, nicely done handover with a full tank of gas,and a nice gift basket to boot. Access to the dealership is a little constrained because it's located in a fairly built up residential neighbourhood. Kudos for their support for the local soccer team, the FCfury.
I had the best experience when me and my father came in to buy a new Forester. Ran Hoa was extremly professional and above all knowledgeable. For a few weeks before we finally bought the car i would be texting him almost daily any questions i had because i knew he would be happy to help and he knew all the answers. Ran was the most helpful and friendly salesman i have ever met and topping his exceptional customer service will be hard to do. If you are ever in need of a Subaru, i suggest you talk to Ran. He also has a really cool car.
Had an sudden urgent issue arise with my 2011 outback today. Service was above and beyond. Notwithstanding having no appointment, the service team at Otto's got my car in and within 4 hours I was back on the road. The professional attention and polite and prompt service from the service manager and the service team was fantastic. All I can say is thank you. You saved my day.
I love my new Subaru! The sales team Sami and Yanjiao were very excellent in meeting my needs and helping me transition from my old lease from another dealer into this one. Sami saved me $1200!! it was the most seamless experience I’ve had when it comes to leasing a car ever. It was a lovely touch to be gifted with a basket of chocolate and wine. when I was told I could reach out to them for anything I believe it. I could be open and honest with Sami about any apprehensions (in this uncertain time, being self employed) and I felt like I was dealing with a human being and not a "sales person".
Staff here do not respect your time. I had made an appointment to test drive a car, had confirmed that appointment, but when I showed up no one was able to provide me with that service. I get it, things can get busy, but they did not have the decency to let me know in advance, and save me the time of driving across town.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND speaking to Imad Suliman. This is the best salesman I have met to date. He knows his vehicles, and is NOT pushy at all. He gives all the information you require and lets you decide with ZERO pressure. I've been to several dealers, but this was my first time shopping for a Subaru. Ottos, was the best...it didn't start off so well with an appointment mix-up but I'm SO HAPPY I ended up dealing with Imad!!! If you are in store for a new/used/old Subaru please make an appointment with Imad. I picked up my vehicle today, and Imad, again treated me so well - in fact everyone did...this was AFTER they got my money. HIGHLY impressed!!! Hoping their customer service doesn't change!
My experience is with Derrik Weir at Otto's Subaru. He was upfront and honest, but most of all he provided us with a really pleasurable buying experience. Buying a car can be stressful and time consuming, but Derrik got right to the point, told us all we needed to know and more about the car we were purchasing. We test drove the car a few times just to be sure it was right for us, while Derrik gave us the space to make our own decision without any pressure. No sales tactics, no pressure, no waste of time, and no none sense! As for the car well Subaru speaks for itself. It's fun and exciting. I especially like the sight lines on the new Forrester. It's taken us a few months to decide but we love our car and I cant speak highly enough of the folks at Otto's Subaru.
They are GREAT! I purchased my previously loved Outback from them and the service has been fantastic. Yesterday I went in and my window cleaner has frozen 100%. The got me in at the very end of the day, fixed the problem AND changed my fob battery. Such great friendly and professional people! Keep up the good work!
Met Sami really straightforward shooter! We are still.deciding but treated very well
Front grey haired receptionist with the Monroe lip piercing is rude and her service quality was zero. Just picked up a vehicle and was not impressed from the level of service received by staff. Not welcoming and very judgmental. Sales Manager Bryan Zhang couldn't come out of his office to greet a customer and follow through with his meeting arrangement. The absolute worst new vehicle experience with any dealer I have had anywhere in Ontario. This is my 8th new vehicle. Showroom was dead but nobody wants to get up and help out a customer. I cant believe the level of ignorance and arrogance by a car company that sells $30k cars, swear I walked into a Lambo dealership, even they have more professionalism and class than Otto's. Definitely wont be servicing my new vehicle at this location and will be my first and last Subaru. Lesson to be learned here, don't judge a book by its cover. Later.
Recently purchased a Forester and I have to say that Customer service was fantastic! Nan was great and got us a great deal. Mark made the financial aspect easy and didn't try to sell us a ton of unnecessary items (other dealers, please learn from this! up selling everything is a major turnoff for most folks and I have walked away from other dealerships because of this) . Nicholas was great at pick-up for explaining all the paperwork I was signing as well as showing me everything about the vehicle. all in all, a great experience. My only complain is a lack of parking ;)
Leased a WRX in 2016, seamless, received a note from Otto's salesman Dec 2018 (David Parshall) via email indicating Forester could be had for reduced lease cost, as loyalty rebate customer. I bring WRX in to do the deal, James Finance Manager decent at first, bring car in- Manager Jordan Ayoub Miron to take photos, says he does, he never did. Jordan then offers a ridiculous amount for my car 19k for a car on their lot that sells for 26- 28K , show him comparisons. I don't think Jordan should be a Manager, not sure what Otto family is thinking having him representing their brand. Loyalty customers? Does he know the meaning? Needless to say, Ogilvie Subaru stepped up, great offer for my WRX, in a Forester now. Do yourself a favour folks, visit Ogilvie Subaru, they don't just take orders they negotiate are FAIR and earn your business. Otto's has become complacent; Mr Koller would be embarrassed- I have to disagree, the legacy does not live on. Read the fake posts by Ronnie Lagace and Wanda Latendresse--same people? their google reviews seem suspicious- all the same places, ,hmmmm, related to someone at Otto's? I guess they would stoop so low.
Love this dealership! We have our Crosstrek serviced here and drive almost 2 hours for it. Top quality servicing and superior customer service!
tl;dr: Can't give a zero unfortunately. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SH*THOLE I had a lease transfer done with them, and Mr Mark Evans Bussiness manager kept telling me they're not making any money with me. I was looking forward to getting the car for a long weekend, and had a road trip already planned. - on the previous Friday I met with the previous owner and agreed on the deal, had an inspection done, and went to Otto's to kickstart the process. - Monday I came in to sign the financing papers, and was told that I'll get a call when the papers come in. - Friday before the weekend we finally went in to Otto's, and was told "oh, look, the papers just arrived today yay!" when the FAX DATE was clearly printed in the header and footer. Again was reminded they're not making money on this transaction. Of course, I had my own set of plates ready as I had already sold my previous car in preparation for the deal. On Friday they complained that they can't go to ServiceOntario (SO), already closed. - come Tuesday, show up again with my plates in my hand and Mr Mark was like "oh, you already had plates..". I replied yes, had them on Friday too. Mark said "oh well, we didn't need SO in this case, but we already got a new set for you, ready to go on the car. Note we're not making any money on this." Thus I lost a long weekend, a week of back and forth waiting, and a gruesome visit to SO to refund my old plates afterwards. All since I was a peasant customer, worth delaying indefinitely, who didn't make them any money on it. Also, beware of them charging YOU for warranty repairs, followed by double charging Subaru Canada for the same repair.
SAVE YOUR TROUBLE AND GO TO OTHER DEALERS! Bought my car there, dealt with them couple of time. Their service center is absolutely HORRABLE. Cost twice the price if you go to other places. Went there did a service C early spring, charged me $550. The price list shows the air filter should be changed. Went to my friends garage to do a service A in July, he showed me this original air filter that has a fall leave attached to it. So yeah, $550 after, nothing is done. As I am gonna buy out my lease, went in to get a safety certificate. So I called in, told them what I need to do and they patch me someone name Mark, he told me the price is $120. Went in to the service and book an apointment, told me the price is $175. Ask the service guy why is the price is different, he told me ask for the Mark guy and he would pay the price difference. Found the Mark saleman, told me he took a lucky guess on the price so I doesn’t count. HA HA, very funny. This is how this place runs, the service and sales are entirely two different companies. and as a customer, you will he bonce back and force between them. I mean didn’t you guys work under the same roof and work for Subaru all together? Had a friend worked here for three years, had to quit because she didn’t agree with how they do things. I mean I had my subaru for three years, love and love it. But this dealer is the most over priced, and irresponsible dealer I have ever seen. I wonder if their regional management team know about what they do. Maybe I will write a email to them and let them know. Love the brand and don’t want this dealer to ruin it.
This was my first time buying a car and I was lucky enough to have the assistance of James Hubbard. He was a good listener and our conversation went smoothly. I told him what I wanted and explained that I have been researching this brand of car for 5 years. My heart was set on a Subaru. He was efficient, effective and accommodating to all my requests. The team at the Richmond location are well educated, walked me through the whole experience. They all embodied their roles and made things less stressful for me. I was an emotional hot mess on the inside but they made me feel at home and safe because I was putting my trust in the right people. Thank you for making this a rewarding experience.
Derek was the best! Made my car purchasing experience so easy. Love my Subaru.
First time Subaru buyer, and I dealt with Sami. Fantastic experience, fantastic car (AWD actually has me looking forward to winter). He and his team (Joy, Mark) were great and very upfront about everything. No surprises, no nonsense. Definitely will buy a Subie again, and will definitely come back to Sami and team again when it's time to upgrade.
They're listing used cars for sale on their website that they don't actually have in stock in order to get you in the door. Like a honeypot or a bait and switch... Super shady biz. I asked sales guy Sami where all the used cars they had listed on their website were and he was like "oh we sold them all earlier today" and expected me to believe that lol. It was like 10 AM. He was very happy to show me all the new cars though... I won't be back, ever. I ended up buying the car in Kingston instead. (Oh and the cars they supposedly "sold" were still on their website like a week later) classy! ????
To write this review is as easy as a pie because the service we received at Otto Subaru today and last week was simply amazing! Everyone we dealt with was nice and professional but Sami Musleh absolutely exceeded our expectation. His knowledge of Subaru cars is fantastic; any question we asked was fully answered. Sami treated us like a family and it felt great. We love our 2020 Subaru Outback and when we decide to buy another Subaru Sami will be the one we go to!!
Good place to buy a car. Dude named Patrick was great. Would recommend anyone looking for a reliable Subaru fine car in Ottawa Canada.
I just purchased a Subaru from Nicholas Delis. Nick was friendly, humorous and was very easy going. I did not feel pressured and I am happy with my purchase. The great experience continued when I met with Holly Beck to pick up my vehicle. She went over the features and then presented me with a lovely gift basket. Otto's also made a donation on my behalf to the food bank. All and all a very classy dealership!
Imad was fantastic. Was able to answer all our questions and concerns. Jordan made our search for our vehicle happen within days! What a great team, Otto Subaru is the place for you. Don’t go anywhere else!
Been treated quite well with the service department. Last time, the service manager even tried to get us a loaner car because of the extreme hot weather when our car parked in the dealership for a week. I really hope they will expand their service to south Ottawa and Nepean area. There is a dealers network in Barrhaven already. But it's lack of Subaru and there are quite a few Subaru owners around the whole town.
Absolutely stay away. I've had nothing but problems with them, especially the service center. I've had a couple different issues with my new vehicle. The first problem, I left my vehicle with them all day, TWICE, and they couldn't resolve my issue. I took it to the other dealer in town and they fixed it within a couple hours. The second problem, talking to the manager got me nowhere as I was accused of causing the issue. "customer is always right" does not apply here. I got talked down to and I felt belittled. They never take responsibility for their mistakes. When you call for an appointment the service tech tells you one thing and then when you drop off the vehicle it's completely different story. One of the shuttle drivers does not drive safely at all. For example, he was talking on the cell phone and almost ran over a pedestrian who had the right of way. To be fair, the first shuttle driver was very nice and drove properly. I love my Subaru but I will never deal with Otto's ever again.
Recently I had the pleasure of dealing with Nicholas Deli regarding purchasing a new Subaru. He is simply the best car sales person that I have ever come across: courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful. Absolutely a pleasure to deal with. If you are considering a Subaru make sure to speak with Nick. I highly recommend him.
Our family recently bought a Forester from this location and were quite happy with the overall experience. The man who sold us the car, Ran, was very patient and kind and helped a lot. However, when we went to pick up the car I was very unsatisified with who we dealt with. We were put with a woman, Rebecca, who was to go over all the paper work as well as show us how the car worked. I found her very inpatient with our questions considering that this was our first ever Subaru and were unsure how everything worked. She was very snippy with her responses and I caught her eyes rolling multiple times when we were unsure of something and asked for clarification. She also seemed to be in quite a hurry to move us along which was not a good feeling. As someone representing a company I would expect them to be a little more polite then that and to have more manners. And I do not wish that this negative experience reflect on the entire establishment. The rest of the experience from test drives to buying the car was quite pleasant but I wanted to point out that that final experience was bothersome and frustrating as it left me with a feeling of incompetence.
Sami Musleh helped me and my girlfriend get a new Impreza, it was an awesome experience. He is honest, frank, and genuine. He explained all the options and we genuinely felt like he was looking out for our benefit, not just trying to sell a car. When it comes time to get our next car I'm definitely going to ask for Sami specifically.
Amazing customer service. Prompt response to any question. Patient sales associate who listened to exactly what we wanted in a recent used Subaru...within a month that sales associate had what we wanted, called us immediately. We went in right away and the manager provided us with the price range we wanted. Exceptional in every way.
Awful service experience. Sales person for the location let me in after I noticed they were allowing people to wait in the designated sitting area. Was then met by Colleen with a surprising amount of hostility and attitude about my reason for being inside (my car was being serviced), considering she watched her colleague let me in and I was fully face masked and sanitized my hands. After been shooed down to the service area, I was met by a lady with an office who was also surprisingly cold and unwelcoming, who treated me like I was a toddler who lost their mum, telling me that I was not to move until my car was done ... though it was perfectly kosher for the elderly lady next to me to get up and wander. Needless to say, I will be searching for another dealership to spend my money in.
This was the most comfortable car buying experience I've had. Imad provided me with great sales service by having answers to all my questions and I never felt pressured. Any of the the other staff members I interacted with were courteous and welcoming. This was by far my best car buying experience and I love my Crosstrek! Thanks Imad!
Just bought a used car from here, service was excellent. The salesman Salih was very professional and was super knowledgable. Was a great experience, would recommend.
Just want to say thank you to Simmy and your colleagues for everything with our purchase ! Simmy went above and beyond with answering all our questions, was super detailed in walking us through the process and ensured we were able to test drove both the Crosstrek and Impreza when we were indecisive of both cars. Honestly appreciated the effort, service and nice touch of gift baskets! Thank you Otto's Subaru!
We absolutely love our new Crosstrek! Our salesperson, Eric, was great to work with. He was very helpful/knowledgeable, and didn't make us feel pressured at all. Mark was also wonderful! Thanks, guys!
We recently purchased a pre-owned Outback. Our first Subaru and our first purchase from Otto's. James made everything painless - appointments were on time, he knew what we were looking for, knew our price point and worked with us to find a vehicle we liked. Mark in finance was no pressure to upsell and worked with us to make a deal. It was a very different experience from another well known dealer in Ottawa where we and my daughter both purchased a vehicle and once you said you didn't want extended warranty the finance person just rushed you through. Joy in vehicle delivery was great as well - looked after everything. All in all, a great purchasing experience.
I just leased my first Subaru! Nicholas Delis was a fantastic sales representative. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and polite. But most importantly I never felt pressured….he let the vehicle speak for itself. He seemed truly interested in having me get not only a vehicle I wanted to drive, but also one that fit my needs. I took three other 5 door vehicles for a test drive on a Saturday, and the Impreza and Nicholas were the clear winners! If you are considering a Subaru, I strongly recommend that you go see Nicholas at Otto’s….you won’t be disappointed!
Sami Musleh and the team at Otto's were very helpful setting us up with our preowned Outback! They had great Covid-19 safety protocols in place so we felt safe shopping for our new car. Sami helped get us all the features we hoped for at the price we were willing to go to. We're very happy with our new Outback! *And our baby loves the gift bowl! Haha
worst dealer in town they only want your money and don't care about anything else. it was a bad service i had to run after the finance guy for a week and after this joke when i wanted my deposit back they told me that it would take another week. So go to ogilvie subaru so those jerks dont get your money
What a joke of a business. A client of mine tried to buy a car from me and wanted an inspection there. They are always trying to make life difficult with scheduling, trying to jump out at you after a week of silence with a short notice "slot" that you must immediately agree to. After about 2 weeks I got an appointment for a specific time. At their request, the morning of I call in a second time to provide the car details (which they refused to take the first time), they start lying that they can't book an appointment without getting the VIN before you arrive. Somehow all other businesses can. And then they inform me that I need to LEAVE THE CAR THE WHOLE DAY for a pre sale inspection, despite an appointment for a specific time. So what's the appointment hour/time for then? They are just a pain in the arse, would probably let different mechanics drive your car throughout the day. Go find a good mechanic that is not a dealer is my advice.
First time purchasing a car. Eric Laflamme was a great sales associate and extremely helpful throughout the purchasing process.
I have never been subjected to such abusive behavior as I just received from Otto's Service Manager. Had to bring our car back as it had been in for an oil change yesterday and the check oil light was still on. Either the service was not done or not done correctly. Explained the situation to service manager only to have her go in full attack mode and become verbally abusive. Completely appalled by how I was treated, one does not attack the customer because your staff did not do their job property.
Had a great experience with Sami and Alison. My whole family has goes to these 2 for our vehicle needs. They are both very helpful, genuine and a pleasure to do business with. Sami was great with guiding me through all my options and the processes, as well as keeping me updated. Alison was also amazing with guiding me through my vehicle pick up and paperwork. She seamlessly took me through all the functions of my new 2021 Crosstrek, and made the whole experience very enjoyable and exciting. I think she would really excel in a sales position!
Got a car there and they definitely impressed us with their service. They were off on a couple little reviews but definitely my go to out of the two Ottawa Subaru dealerships.
Great experience. Never felt rushed, pressured, or ignored. Patrick was amazing. He answered all of our questions thoughtfully, thoroughly, and with some fun!
I highly recommend Sami, Sales Rep at Otto's Subaru. We were looking for a Crosstrek and Sami went out of his way to get us the vehicle that we wanted at a competitive price. Very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to work with.
Friendly, no pressure, professional dealership. Sami Musleh was our salesrep and did a great job. Before picking up our car we changed our mind about buying winter tires. The tires were already on the vehicle, but they made the change with no hassle. This is our first subaru and we expect to go back in 10 or so years.
Sami, Simmy, and Allison were all an amazing team and helped me get an amazing new car at a reasonable price. The process was seamless and the extras were lovely! No pressure, lots of help. Thank you all!!!
I just had my car repaired at Otto's - 7 year old Forester - it ends up the part was under warranty - I can't thank Holly in service enough for her care and attention to me - from the moment I met her until I signed off she did everything she could to make sure my experience was a good one - never left me hanging - called often to make sure I was in the loop - I just wish I lived a little closer :) Added bonus? a small thing but my car came back cleaner inside and out than it has been all winter!
It was the worst service I ever had. I went there to buy a car and the salesperson was very rude and unprofessional. We started negotiate the price without even have a test drive and when I ask him about discount he started telling me that the company doesn't earn enough money and when I gave him some example that other dealership from different brands gave me he said " Go and buy there". I think this kind of behavior is unprofessional and the manager should has more professional people to work with costumers. I left and will never go back for such a rude people.
I purchased a vehicle from a private dealership. A 2010 WRX. I noticed that the rear truck was rusting, almost as if it was rusting from the inside out. There were about 8-10 different spots on the rear truck, about 1-3cm in diameter. Called Subaru Canada, they advised to go to the nearest dealership and they would decide if it was covered under the rust perforation warranty. They took pictures, called me back and said yest they would repair the rust under a "good will" gesture. Fantastic. Here's the frustrating part. I was called to drop off the car on Tuesday by 730am. I dropped it off Monday at 530, as I would not be able to make it that early. I was advised by multiple different people that the car would be done by Friday. I receive a call on Thursday at 430pm advising me that not only will I not get my car on Friday, they are not sure when they would be able to start work on my car let alone give me an approximate date and time. Left a vm for the manager Thursday at 630pm, it is 130pm on Friday and I have no idea when to expect my car back. I will not deal with Subaru again. Poor customer experience and lack of ownership, seems that it is always someone else’s fault.
I’ve been visiting this dealership since my 16th birthday when I got my driver’s licence. Every year I asked if I could test drive my dream car, the brand new WRX STI on the showroom. Every year I was told it’s not a toy and that I could drive it only after I’d purchased it. When I walked in at the age of 27, Sami approached me and saw me eyeing the new 2017 STI. I didn’t even have to ask for the keys as he walked over and threw them at me. I said “seriously? I can test drive it?” And half an hour after the test drive I had signed the papers. Being used to salespeople writing me off because I’m young or not well-dressed, it was absolutely refreshing to be treated with nothing but the most respect. I have never met a car salesperson that I can honestly say is 100% straight up and treats you with the respect you deserve. Ogilvie Subaru has nothing on Otto’s and Sami is the man to see there.
ok service but wanted to charge a huge amount and change the whole wiring bundle for an airbag, $5k??, come on! had subaru garage specialist do the job for 10% of that cost. Get a second opinion before commiting to their work.
What great customer service! We purchased a pre-owned vehicle today for our son from Otto’s Subaru and were thoroughly impressed with the customer service. The salesperson (Sami) was terrific and we truly felt like he was interested in our needs and gave great advise and insight into the choices for our purchase decision. He has a great sense of humour and we truly enjoyed the experience. We will consider Otto’s again in the future.
Did a test drive last week. Very good experience . Nice sales people. The show room has very good decorations. Unfortunately they can't offer as good discount as dealers in other cities, I guess that's because there is almost no competition in Ottawa.
In this crazy World there are amazing people. While car shopping with 15 previous dealerships and different companies Ottos Subaru and Chris Martineau were our 16th. They never mentioned the chip shortage and told us these are your immediate options. The entire experience was so positive that I believe they have a customer and family for life. Chris and John (In Financing) were always available after the sale for questions and answer my silly questions with a smile. This was my first new car purchase and the attention to customer was amazing and something I have not experienced before. The little gifts and personalized messages from President and Dealer Principal are very thoughtful. We have our car a day and very happy to purchase a Subaru and more then happy to purchase from Chris at Ottos Subaru! Keep it up guys and I hope others can dealerships learn from you and push you guys even further:)
We are a Subaru family! We bought a Subaru Forrestor, love the car and all it’s features. Can’t speak enough of it! I want to give a shout out to Sami. He is amazing, we have known for him for over 4years, he helped us get Subaru Crosstrek back then. He listens and understands what we want, worked with us to make sure that we have the best pricing, took our calls even on his off days. He does is groundwork well and makes sure we are happy and satisfied. He is very genuine, dedicated and least pushy. Will also like to thank Jordan who worked with Sami to get the good deal for us. Thank you both.
Want to get ripped off? Then come here. I brought my car in for diagnoses, and they informed me I needed a new engine. So I brought it to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion, and they rectified the problem, which cost me far less than what Subaru quoted me, and it wasn't the engine at all. Their mechanics are junk and probably don't do their job properly. I guess they were just trying to squeeze me because I'm from out of town. Really unprofessional. I'll never go back there, and I will never recommend it for any of my friends.
I am extremely disappointed in the way the ottos service department handled my situation. Being only 19 years old they never took me serious and were very unprofessional. Telling me to put water instead of coolant while my radiator was broken lead to extremely costly engine damages that I had to pay out of pocket elsewhere. Based on my recent experience I feel that I will solely be doing business with elite bmw in hopes of avoiding similar situations in the future.
We had a great experience from start to finish. Sami was extremely efficient and transparent. He was able to quickly determine what we were looking for, and was very knowledgeable. The delivery process was like none other, we were treated well and everyone was professional. The “thank you basket” was definitely a nice touch. All in all, we would highly recommend Otto’s Subaru!
All good. Friendly staff and servicing went well
Awesome experience. Replaced by Crosstrek for a Forester. Both amazing cars, but family it growing so the car must as well. The salesman, Sami, was the best I’ve come across over the years. He is absolutely stellar. And Mark was super helpful in making sure everything went off without a hitch. Thanks gents.
I am so happy buying Subaru at Otto Subaru on Richmond Rd. Mr Salih Tinaz helped so much. He is so kind and help us every step. Simmy was helpful for my credit thank for her.
If anyone is looking to purchase a vehicle, I cannot recommend Otto's Subaru enough! The service and purchasing process was amazing! I reached out to Éric Laflamme by email about a car we have tried at another dealership but didn't have our preferred colour. I asked to only be reached by email (I love a paper trail), and he was happy to oblige. Never did he pressure me to call (unlike the other dealership), was super quick to respond to my many questions. When we settled on a specific car, I asked him about his best price by email. He was quick to offer a very reasonable quote, lower than the other dealership which was very reluctant to negotiate, and who kept insisting on trades and calls and in person meetings. Everything was done by email until the day we made the purchase official. If you're in the market for a vehicle, definitely give Eric a call, or send him an email!
Great sales experience but horrible service experience almost every time. The remote open feature on our 2016 Forester (bought at Otto's) frequently malfunctions. This seems to be a VERY common problem according to internet reports. Every other time we have been able to reset ourselves by holding down various buttons. Not this time. Otto's service said I should bring it in and they will disconnect/reconnect battery to reset and charge me $66 to do that. No thanks. Some complementary followup on cars bought there would occasionally be nice.
Otto's Subaru: Professional, courteous, friendly, attentive....simply amazing! Don't waste your precious time elsewhere. Go to Otto's. Sami was our guy and he made car buying smoother...than whip cream. When we first spoke with Sami, he said that he will work to make us happy. So we thought, "Yeah, sure. We're buying a car and spending our hard earned money. How happy can we really be?" Well, we're extremely happy. Sami went above and beyond and his customer service didn't suddenly stop after he made the sale. This is what impressed me the most. If we have any issues, questions or inquiries with service, sales....whatever, Sami wants us to go to him first and he'll help sort it all out. Fantastic! Thanks Otto's Subaru and thank you Sami!
Very professional, Sami was amazing, a quick process to pick up the car. They take care of their customers with ''white glove'' service. If I buy another car, I would call Sami FIRST and recommend anyone looking for a Subaru to contact them, first class operation
I was looking for information and wanted to go on a single test drive. Jacques was hesitant to give me more than a brochure and would not allow it because I was likely going to buy in cold lake. Well I'm not buying a Subaru at all thanks to this experience. Less than pleasant.
I had a great experience at Otto's Subaru primarily because of a great consultant Nicholas Delis. I explained to Nick that I was getting a company car and that i needed some information on the Forrester but he probably wasnt going to get a sale out of it. He arranged a test drive and explained all the features and equipment of the car. He is a sincere and knowledgeable professional and I would seek him out at Otto's. He takes great pride in being a Subaru Rep and believes in what he is selling. Worth the drive to seek Nick out.
My car is rusting from the inside out. Still under warranty but Carla the manager told me they have nothing to do with it. They are a 3rd party and it's my problem. I bought the warranty through Otto's so how is it my problem. Carla has no people skills. Love my car but will never buy a Subaru again because of her. Update. I have been driving a Honda CRV for a year now and love it. Plenty of dealerships to choose from and a reliable car. Love it!
Update: March 2021 the referral bonus was finally received therefore rating has been changed to 3/5. Glad they were able to get it done with *minimal* probing. Original text: I have personally never dealt with this dealership rather, this is in response to how my family was treated. I have 2 older family members who each purchased a car from this dealership, the 1st to do so was told they’d be given a referral bonus of $100 cash. When the 2nd family member purchased a car here primarily due to the referral bonus incentive, they were reassured it will be given to the 1st family member. It’s been over 2 months and nothing was received. Of course, taking this public will most likely change that... One can extract their own conclusions from such actions. ????????♀️
I just picked up my new car from ottos and I am extremely pleased with the excellent service I received from the entire team there. They were always quick to answer phone calls and emails if I had any questions. As a first time car buyer, I felt at ease, I was treated very well, and I felt secure in my purchase. I think I owe a special mention to my salesman Sami who was absolutely amazing, kind, and supportive throughout the process; and also to my delivery coordinator Allez who was very helpful in making sure I knew how to use all the new technology in my new car. I would highly recommend this excellent Subaru dealership for anyone and everyone from the experienced buyer to the first timers. Thank you all again for your excellent and hard work. I love my new Subaru!
Very good experience at Otto's Subaru! Patrick Landriault made it easy and fun for me to purchase my new WRX 2021.
Pleasant, upfront sales staff. The whole buying process was excellent. Great service department and after-sales support. Can't recommend enough.
Our experience with Mr. Imad Suliman as our representative was non the less a positive one. We appreciated how he corresponded with us at a timely manner. Most importantly, he provided us with a reasonable guidance in choosing the correct vehicle for our family. He made us feel very well taken care of with his effort to accommodate our budget as well as relating to our needs. We are very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend him and his team! Jose & Bernadette
If you need to book an appointment with anyone from Ottos Subaru, you need to meet with Patrick. Not should. Need. The guy is amazing and works with people. I’ve been to 15 dealerships at least and I was very close to giving up on buying a vehicle. I was honestly relieved that I met someone who doesn’t talk like a robot and who actually cares. PATRICK IS THE MAN TO SEE.
I have purchased/leased a few new cars of different makes over the years from various dealers in Ottawa. And I have to say this has been by far the best new car buying and delivery experience I have ever had, hands down. My leasing consultant, Sami Musleh, was phenomenal: courteous, responsive and very knowledgeable. And Bonnie Mark Berlandino made the delivery process a breeze and very enjoyable. I strongly recommend Otto's Subaru.
This review is mostly about Sami Musleh I don't usually write reviews unless i am very impressed or very disappointed!! I would like to mention that I received an AMAZING service from Sami Musleh at Otto's Subaru!! He took the time to discuss every little details with me and he was very patient. Every time i needed answers on how to recalculate my options, he was there for me. He was 100% transparent and quite proactive to meet all my requirements! Another good thing is; he was never "pushy" with me. I did not feel pressured to move fast or to buy anything else along with what i had requested. Good student that i am, i did my homework and i sat with a sale representative from another dealership to get a second opinion. At the end of the day, Sami had given me the best offer from the beginning. The other dealer almost didn't believe me! As a client, knowing that you get the best offer and the best service the first time right is a pretty awesome feeling! Do yourself a favor, call Sami Musleh. Tell him you want a "no brainer" transaction and let the magic happen! Cheers!
After waiting a month to get a strut replaced they agreed I need one but have to order. This is after they assured me they would have one. Totally wasted morning. Now I have to come back in January. Terrible service and not the first time it has occurred to me. When warranty is off I will ever be back.
We had been loyal Ogilvie customers for 5 different Subarus since 2003. Our experience with Nan, Bryan and Mark could not have been better. Nan was able to quickly help us find a great fit and excellent deal. Bryan helped us transfer our lease easily and we were wowed by our pick up experience. The team did a thorough and professional job and the extra touches on delivery made us feel very valued (more than we ever were despite our loyalty to the ‘other guys’). Thanks, Otto’s- looks like we have been doing it wrong all these years!
I've been going to Otto's Subaru for over 8 years now. I've bought more than one vehicle and my am quite satisfied with the service. I have had a minor problem with a car that has been difficult to remedy - however Otto's has never given up. (even after the Subaru warranty has expired - with no additional charge to me) You can't beat that kind of service these days. Both the sales and service staff have been courteous, professional and always welcoming. I would have no qualms about recommending this Subaru location to my friends and family.
My wife and I were working to determine the right vehicle for us and Patrick did an excellent job of supporting us through the process by ensuring all our questions were answered. He gave us all the time we needed in the vehicle test drive to fully assess performance and suitability of the outback. He also coordinated a service visit to coincide with our time determine the fit of the new vehicle. We were so pleased with the support we received from Otto Subaru and will certainly continue to seek them out as we replace our aging vehicles. Check and see if Patrick is available to serve your sales needs and you’ll be pleased with his straightforward and customer focused sales support. Thanks again.
My husband and I went to Otto's Subaru dealership last week for a test drive of the 2017 Subaru Legacy. Nicholas greeted us and we are very satisfied by the test drive and information received from him. We had test driven a few other cars in the same type of car than the Legacy in the same week but my husband had been thinking about the Subaru for a few yrs and I knew we had to test drive the Legacy for him to be satisfied. So, we did the test drive of the sport limited sedan 2017 Legacy and fell in love with it and ended up buying it. Nicholas was not pushy at all and just guided us through the process. He explained all the features and more and my husband and I just felt very well informed with no pressure whatsoever which was very refreshing and removed some of the stress of this important purchase. Thank you!
Had a flat tire over the holiday weekend. Otto’s took me in without an appointment and had me on the way in about an hour. This professionalism and dedication to customer support when they were booked solid is why I take my business here. Thank you.
Wonderful experience with Otto's Subaru. We were helped by Eric Laflamme, who ensured the experience was comfortable and smooth. No chessy sales talk, just a professional and relaxed experience.
I had a great experience buying my new car at Ottos. The salesperson Sami, was upfront, honest, and worked hard to get me exactly what I wanted, faster than I expected. Allison delivered the car to me. She explained all the features well and made the process fun. I would highly recommend this dealership.
BAIT AND SWITCH SERVICE CENTRE!! STAY AWAY!! We are completely helpless at this point because they have taken apart our car (our car is now sitting with them IN PIECES) and all of the sudden there are several new issues that have magically surfaced. The bill is racking up higher and higher and these people haven't even touched the part of our car yet which initially needed fixing. So much for the complete inspection we paid for before we agreed to their services. Now that they've taken our car apart we are stuck with them until they finish the job. This is highway robbery and has been a complete nightmare!! Stay as far away from them as you can!
I purchased a 2021 Crosstrek from Sami Musleh at Otto’s Subaru and I couldn’t be happier. Sami went above and beyond and provided me with very professional, excellent client service. This is my first Subaru but definitely not my last. ????
We were lucky to deal with Eric Laflamme at OTTO's Subaru. We are very satisfied with his service: detailed explanation and full support during the whole process. We definitely would recommend his professional services.
Have had the best customer experience with Sami!! I’ve really hated dealing with car dealerships in the past but Sami has been over-the-top amazing.
Frist time going to Otto's had a great experience will be going back years to come totally sold to Subaru. Otto's has a GREAT service, Imad Suliman our sales person was awesome new his stuff, very friendly and respectful, thumbs up to John Katchikian, Business Manager. Never had such a good experience in a car dealership and I bought alot of new cars. 11/10 for this dealership. Keep up the good work.
Has a wonderful time dealing with Sami and the team at Ottos buying my Subaru Outback. I've always wanted a Subaru and finally had the chance to buy one. I went convinced I wanted a Forester, but Sami took the time to look at my needs and budget and proposed a 2018 Outback. It was well under my budget and the perfect car for my needs. I've now been driving it for a while and I absolutely love it. Will definitely be coming back to Otto's for service and recommending it to friends and family.
AMAZING Customer Service- David really understood what I wanted and made sure I had all the right information when it came to leasing a Subaru. He went above and beyond to get me the best price possible and continuously updated me on the order status of my car as it took a few weeks for it to come in. Very professional staff and everything went smoothly... I will be recommending this dealership to everyone I know! Thanks so much David and Otto's Subaru!
Great client care from Sami Musleh. He is attentive to your needs and budget, and answers your questions without pretence. Compliments to Otto's as well on their finishing touches with the delivery of the car.
Incredible customer service from very friendly staff! Would highly recommend this dealership and Sami, the sales person that helped me find my perfect car. Was very diligent in making sure that I was getting the exact car that I wanted, and very responsive whenever I had questions. Couldn't recommend Sami and the whole team from Otto's more!
The service department did not respect my vehicle. They returned it with the interior leather covered in black grease and smelling like it too. Lot attendants can NOT drive standard transmission and have seriously reduced the lifespan of my clutch as a result. After the service manager assured me this was not the case I personally witnessed their staff stall my car and completely over rev the engine before engaging and damaging the clutch. My car needed replacement parts for steering and then needed an alignment. The car does not drive straight with the steering wheel centered after this work. Work on the steering and now the car doesn't go straight... really? Very disappointed. Not confident in the quality or care provided at the service centre.
An excellent dealership with top-notch staff and attention to detail. I met Sami Musleh at the Ottawa Auto Show in May, and discussed with him my interest in a CrossTrek. Through discussion of my needs, he steered my wife and I towards a Forester as that would better match those needs. He answered every question we had, suggested things to consider that we would not have thought of, and generally provided us with everything we needed without being pushy, overbearing, or confusing. The rest of the team at Otto's were equally good. Mark in finance, and Ping with the delivery process. Everything went smoothly and left us feeling that we understood what was going on and that we were in control. This will be my second Subaru after a break of five years. I have no doubt that it won't be my last if Otto's remains this good.
They are there to sell you a car. But if you are getting any trouble afterwards. The service there is awful especially if you are still under warranty ! ! Getting anything fix will take you months ! I would avoid buying any other car there !
Recently purchased a new a Forester at Ottos that I am picking up later this week. Eric was my sales advisor and truly went up and beyond to make the process as seamless as possible! It was my first time trading in a vehicle and he was there to answer all my questions and also provide a no pressure sales mentality. Thanks again Ottos and Eric for your service.
Fast and good services. Mr. Imad great sales person. Helped me finding the right car . Helped me through the process. Keep up the good work. 100 percent customer satisfaction.
Best place in town to get your Subaru serviced. Ask for Karla.
I can't thank Sami Musleh, and all the team at Otto's, for a seamless purchase. Sami took time to explain everything and ensure I had the vehicle (and options) that I wanted at the absolute best price. Best vehicle purchasing experience ever!! Thank you so very much!!!
We worked with the sales associate Eric. He was extremely helpful, stayed with us past the closing hour, and overall made sure we were satisfied with the purchase. Update after 2.5 years. We now got rid of Subaru. While it was fun to drive, the material quality is questionable. After 2.5 years the wheel assembly was so rusted that we had to replace bearings and rotors. CVs and ball joints were going to go next. Worse shape than my 10 year Ford. The service was slow and far overpriced
This was by one of the best experiences I've had making a big purchase. I was pleased to be addressed warmly by everyone I interacted with. The people on the phone, the receptionist and everyone at the location were respectful and welcoming from the get go. Phil is the absolute greatest!! I went in knowing what I wanted and he was able to facilitate all my asks, even down to the color I wanted!! I never felt coerced and got along with him almost immediately. I was at the office more than once before finally making a purchase and he was always accommodating to both me and my guests. My new Subaru Impreza looks great. You can be sure I'll be recommending Otto's and Phil in particular to anyone who asks.
I just drove away in my 'new-to-me' Forester and could not be happier. Sami Musleh was amazing - knowledgeable and so easy to work with. I told him what I was looking for, and he came through quicker than I could have hoped. He made the process so enjoyable and it's clear he knows his Subaru's and customers. At no time did I feel pressured to make a decision about the car or warrantee (Thanks Sammy!). I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership and, highly recommend Sami. I'm excited to be part of the Subaru community. PS: Sami - I'll be back for the next one and thanks for the gift ;)
I went there for some recalls. They dropped me back at my house and promptly picked me up in the evening. I asked them to check why the car seemed to labor when picking up from a slow speed. They did a test drive and didn't find anything wrong. Maybe Subaru outback has poor power.
I recently bought a WRX from this location and the Service Sales Rep Sami Musleh who helped us out was absolutely wonderful. He was kind, warm, professional and made my experience very memorable. I believe Otto's Subaru is very lucky to have him, as he is a top notch salesmen. Thank you so much Sami for being so helpful, honest, and making this process run as smoothly as possible. I would recommend Sami to anyone of my friends or family in the future who is curious about purchasing a new Subaru.
I would like to Thank all the reviews for Otto's Subaru. I am in the market for a new Suv and from the reviews I have learned that the sales department is great but the after sale is terrible. Sooner or later all dealership will realize that you can find the same product elsewhere. The simple an unarguable fact is the after sale service will sell more vehicle. While you might make the one sale making additional sale to the same individual come from after the sale. Therefore, I will be looking elsewhere to find a vehicle to purchase, that provide an after sales department that will suit my needs. Thank you again,
I had a great experience at this dealership with Sami - I highly recommend him. He is experienced, knowledgeable and excels at customer service. He communicated frequently with me to ensure I was updated on everything with my purchase. This is someone you can trust with a large purchase. Delivery of the vehicle was also smooth and went off without a hitch, a special thanks to Allison for setting me up. I am loving my Crosstrek and want to thank all the staff at Otto’s for their amazing work.
Showed up to inquire about a new vehicle and was told by sales person that the model/trim I was interested was no longer available for the 2020 and the 2021 couldn't be delivered until December/January. Rather than discussing other vehicles, the salesperson was busy talking to other coworkers and customers. When he arrived back he quickly bragged about how Jaguar and Porsche drivers are switching over to Subaru and advised he had to go and get someone into their vehicle now. So rather that discussing other alternatives I was on my way. Perhaps if were drinking a latte from Starbucks and fit the mold of a hipster, I would have received better attention? Anyhow, getting into a new vehicle from another dealership tomorrow!
Had an amazing experience with my 2019 Crosstrek. Sami made me very comfortable throughout the process and made sure I was happy with my vehicle. Otto's Subaru really knows how to put their customer first and get them in to a comfortable car at a great price. Definitely go visit them if you're looking for a vehicle.
PAT helped me to get my new car and he was a really great sales man! The financial team and transaction team were great too!
We needed a customer service rep who knew the vehicle in great detail, who could answer our questions without making us feel foolish for asking and who could provide a car buying experience that didn't leave us wiped out and feeling like we'd been taken advantage of. Sami made it all happen - and then some. He listened patiently, explained things clearly (twice when necessary) and provided the kind of advice we needed to make smart choices about buying. We ended up with the vehicle we needed with financial details that made sense for us. What a pleasant way to buy a vehicle!
Not Good. Given an early morning time 2 1/2 weeks in advance, asked for an estimate, car not even looked at 12:30. Love my Subaru and would have eventually got another but dealing with this bunch not worth the hassle. Notified them I would pick up the car, and did at 1:30 or so. The nice man who drove me home in the morning came to pick me up at end of day. No one told him if car was ready or not. Of course it was no longer there and he came for nothing. Not how I ran my business where customer was King. I will not buy another Subaru because this organization lacking and the only game in town. Too bad!
I have consistently had poor service bringing my Subaru here for it's regularly scheduled maintenance for the following reasons: 1) Excessive time for drop-off/pick-up (up to 1.5 hours each) 2) Not completing the service I was charged for (e.g., inspecting tires, brakes, etc.). When getting other things done at other garages that are more reputable, major issues were identified despite the fact that I had paid for an "inspection" of these issues just weeks earlier at this dealership. 3) Regularly missing things on service (e.g., resetting maintenance warning light) 4) Overcharging for small items (e.g., $20+tax to replace a key fob battery) 5) Constantly trying to force me to follow a more frequent maintenance schedule (every 8000 km) than what is established by Subaru (10 000 km). Overall, the service department is untrustworthy for the reasons listed above, and even though I love my Subaru, as this is the closest dealership for me, I would not buy another as the service here really detracts from the experience of owning a Subaru.
We love our Subaru from Otto's but we are certainly less thrilled with the service we've received over the years. As a woman, I've found the Service department to be rather condescending and mansplaining on several occasions. As well, there was a technical service bulletin for a common Subaru issue and the service rep (with "20+ years of experience") had "no idea" what I was talking about. In finding out about the defect (conveniently as the 3 year/60K warranty expired), Otto's would only fix it for an elevated price. For what we've paid to service our Subaru at Otto's, the value and customer service is not there.
Such a shame for a great brand of vehicle to represented by unprofessional staff. I was interested in test driving the outback 3.6 and made an appointment to do this. I arrived at my appointment only to be told the vehicle was unavailable. Further, a salesman other than the one I was dealing with jumped into the conversation making unwelcome comments and sarcasm. I asked to speak to a Manager and was told one is not available. As an informed and experienced consumer in the car market, my experience twice now at this dealership has been unpleasant. Staff is unprofessional, unhelpful, and cocky. I was given false information about the vehicle and brand. Reception is unwelcoming and not friendly. Not even a hello at the point of entry. I will not be back and will be moving on to another brand.
Alex, my sales associate, was superb. Efficient, precise, clear...he guided me through the entire process with maximal information and minimal effort on my part. Picking the car up was slicker than I've ever seen in three decades - Alex was waiting (on time!) and handed us off to Joy, the pickup expert, who was equally great. All in all, I give this whole experience a 5/5 for sure. Otto's hires very well which translates into a positive experience!
James did a great job finding the right vehicle for us. Went above and beyond our expectations. Will definitely recommend him to anyone who is in the market because truly you feel he is on your side! Thank you James
A fervent owner of multiple Subarus, having lived across the country, I have had the opportunity to visit multiple dealerships. I have made my rounds of the three in the area in the past and had settle on Otto’s out of convenience. I had experienced my share of pains but put it off to typical average service. Coming back to the area recently, I tried to book an urgent service (dashboard lit up and it wasn’t gas cap related). Despite calling three times in two days, being promised a call back within the hour and waiting three days for it, I gave up. It reminded me of the ghost of past experiences.
Very friendly staff. Did a good job with service. There is only a small waiting area. Booking to get a date is usually a problem for repairs. Nothing special compared to other Subaru locations.
Moved from Mississauga, had Subaru serviced. One week later, Check Engine light came on. I am giving a 2 * rating for poor reachability, non- call return and communication. A little less time replying to Google comments and a little more time replying to voice messages.
In the process of getting a great new car, I had a great sales experience! Everyone I met at the dealership was friendly and helpful, but my sales rep (Sami) really made the whole experience quite enjoyable. He was competent, knowledgeable, friendly and personable, and - very importantly - listened when he should have listened, and talked when he should have talked. I highly recommend Sami and Otto’s if you are in the market for a new car.
Perplexingly and unnecessarily poor customer service. Service was fine, I would have loved to keep bringing my car to Otto's as it would be a convenient option, but my experience with this dealership has just been frustrating. To start, it was very difficult to get in touch with service staff to ask basic questions about available service options. I called a number of times during regular business hours and after no one from service desk picked up each time, the sales receptionist took down my number and assured me the service staff would call me back (they didn't). I even brought this up to the sales receptionist (the only human I was able to get ahold of), and the only remedy suggested was that I try calling back the following morning when it was more likely there would be someone to receive my call. When it's such hard work to even initiate the relationship with the service desk it somehow didn't feel like my business was of interest. As my tires were stored here, I had to arrange for at least one service appointment for tire rotation rotation. I ended up going through the online system (automated -- no human beings in sight). I requested only tire rotation, but somehow next season's tire storage ended up on the service request receipt. When I showed up in person for the appointment, they were fine about correcting this and the actual service proceeded without issue. No issues with billing or cost. However, at vehicle pick-up, after paying, I was told someone was bringing my car around, after waiting about 15 minutes I tracked down a valet to find out what the deal was, and subsequently learned my keys were sitting inside unattended. No one was bringing my car around, after all? I don't know what is happening behind the curtain but seemed quite disorganized. As I said, service was fine and I know Otto's reputation speaks for itself, so needless to say my experience with this dealership was quite confusing.
I purchased a used Subaru from Otto's Subaru last week. Sami was the sales person who assisted me through the process. He was helpful, respectful and made the process very easy. Great dealership and great staff.
We will be picking up our 3rd vehicle from Sami at Otto's in the next week and I will say that you couldn't ask for a more professional and personalized sales/dealership experience. Sami has gone through great lengths to make sure we always get exactly the vehicle we need at the best price possible. After sales service from parts and service departments have also been very friendly and helpful. The lease will be up on our 2017 Forester in 2020 and I am looking forward to another experience next year with Sami at Otto's.
My husband and I had just purchased our very first Subaru Forester. Kirk Witt was our salesman and before I begin to share my experience, I must point out a few very important notes. First off, Kirk is absolutely fabulous - second to none!!! He is incredibly knowledgable, reliable and his customer service skills are prime. He goes above and beyond for his clients - honestly deserving a 10+ star. The reason for the 3 star rating is based on a few factors. First off, our vehicle was a demo, and parked on display at the TD Place. We were initally informed that it would be readily available for delivery to the dealership within a few days. On the day in which the vehicle was expected to arrive at the dealership, my salesman was ill and the management staff did not take the time to call and notify my husband and I that the planned delivery date was pushed ahead by two weeks. I was made aware of the change by calling to inquire about how the delivery had went. This results in "one star down". Secondly, upon picking up the vehicle, the detailing team did a very poor job in regards to paying attention to detail. There was a scratch (which still remains) on the vehicle. I should mention, this was pointed out before vehicle pick up. We will be scheduling the vehicle in to have this resolved, at which time I will post an update. To sum up my experience, I would have to admit that I would of turned a cold shoulder in a flash if it was not for Kirk. He has been our saving grace throughout this entire experience. He is a valued asset at Ottos Subaru, and he deserves two thumbs up for his wonderful customer service. Once our experience is complete and this scratch is resolved, I will certainly be writing Subaru Canada a letter with details on how wonderful Kirk has been to my husband and I. If you plan to enter the door of Ottos Subaru, I would highly recommend dealing with Kirk. He will go above and beyond to ensure that you will wear a smile at the end of your day.
We ended up purchasing a new car here. The information given on the car and process were clear and we have received the car. Was very happy with the sales process.
I just purchased a used vehicle from Otto’s and Sami made the purchase process easy, wuick and hassle free. I actually drove in from Toronto to buy it. I would not hesitate to do so again!
Parking is terrible here. I had to park a block away. A Subaru is also a strange vehicle to build a dealership around. They have one car that you ever see on the road. The other models are just to fill up the lot.
My wife and I visited Otto's Subaru one week ago, and had the very good fortune of meeting (for the first time) and doing business with our salesperson, Nicholas Deli. He encouraged us to take two different vehicles of interest to us (both selling at similar price points) for a test drive and was most helpful to us in making a selection that was best for us. I would describe Nicholas (Nick) as being very knowledgeable, exceptionally helpful, not at all pushy, and having a wonderful sense of humour. More than selling us a vehicle, Nick helped us buy a vehicle - responding to our questions and concerns every step of the way. If you're interested in kicking some tires (as my wife and I were at our first visit to the dealership), or in seeking advice, or in negotiating the purchase of a vehicle, I would strongly encourage you to speak to Nick. As a final comment, we were very impressed with our overall experience at Otto's Subaru. This is our first ever Subaru, and I don't think it will be our last! Thanks, Nick, for making this a most enjoyable and satisfying shopping experience!
We dealt with Sami in the purchase of our 2018 Crosstrek and had a fabulous experience. We visited him 4 years before we finally bought a car - he kept us informed of new models and promotions over the years, but wasn't pushy in any way. It was obvious that he wasn't in it for the quick sale, but wanted to make sure we were happy with both the product (and experience) when it came time to buy the car. He understood our needs and priorities and provided solid advice, helping to guide us towards the model and the features that best matched what we were looking for. I appreciated that he didn't try to 'up-sell' us on features we didn't need, but instead provided open and honest feedback on what he thought were the best choices for us. When we were finally ready to make the move, we were thrilled with the end result. Highly recommended!
I recently completed the purchase of a 2016 vehicle (not a Subaru) that was on Otto’s lot. My husband and I dealt with Sami Musleh, and it was a pleasure from start to finish! He provided objective and factual information, and we didn’t feel pressured in any way to make any decisions before we felt ready to proceed. He was professional and amiable (with some refreshing humour), and I ultimately ended up with a great vehicle at a reasonable price. I would absolutely recommend Sami to friends!
Picked-up my newly purchased Outback today from Otto Subaru, and what a fantastic experience it's been - one of the best I've ever had at a dealership! Big thank you goes out especially to Sami Musleh for making this such a unique buying experience! Truly appreciated your honesty and transparency, and thanks again for going above and beyond to ensure I could drive away happy! You have definitely restored my faith and helped redefine car salesman stereotype. Anyone out there thinking of buying a Subaru should seriously consider giving Sami a call, you won't regret it...I know I'll be back for the next car! Thank you as well to Simmy, Allez and all others who played their part in ensuring a great customer service experience all around! Car was amazingly clean, couldn't even tell it was pre-owned - much appreciated! The gift basket was a really pleasant surprise and I was especially touched with the donation in my name to the charity of choice - what a great way to support the community - great job Otto Subaru ❤
NEVER EVER GO TO OTTOS SUBARU!! Genuinely the worst shop I have ever dealt with! They swapped an engine for me which costs like $8k - and it had an oil leak since it was done. The first visit I brought it back and said the valve cover/gasket needed replacement which they covered under warranty and I was told was replaced. This didn’t fix the issue so it was brought back atleast 3 more times with still no fix for the oil leak - I even let them keep it for a few days. When I picked it up my gas light was on and it was low on oil...when I brought it in for an oil leak. I gave it a look over with a flashlight only to discover the valve cover/gasket is leaking so it was either never done in the first place or not done correctly. They gave up on it saying they had no idea where it was coming from but yet I was able to find it after 5 mins with a flashlight?? They wasted weeks of my time, over charged me, and didn’t even fix the issue. I will now be paying out of pocket $400 to fix this even though it’s covered under warranty because I don’t trust them to work on a bicycle.
We bought a 2020 Outback from Otto’s. Sami was extremely helpful, honest and professional throughout the entire process. His vast knowledge of Subaru’s greatly assisted us in making this purchase for our family as we transitioned from two vehicles to one. We are very happy and grateful to Sami for all his hard work and effort in helping us find the perfect vehicle for our active family!
Very nice and clean place to shop, never felt rushed and spent lot's of time just browsing and checking all car models. Nicholas Delis was great and amusing and helped us make decision to purchase our second Subaru Forester. Definitely the best car buying experience so far. Thumbs up!
Just picked up my new 2021 Crosstrek. This has been one of the best experiences I have had. Sami Musleh was punctual, passionate and very knowledgeable about the product he sells. I would recommend Sami and this dealership to anybody looking for a Subaru. Thank you Sami.
Recently purchased a 2018 Outback through Sami. I knew what I was looking for and had a price point in mind. Once I saw my options on Otto's website, I texted Sami's number and we practically had the deal done (over text!) in less than 30 minutes. Went in 2 days later and the paperwork was ready and the car waiting for a test drive. Super easy, efficient, professional service from Sami. I highly recommend the process!
My first time there. Car was in for an air bag recall. Appointment was scheduled for 9:30. My car was taken in early. I was given a voucher for coffee to a coffee shop across the street. I was phoned when my car was ready. Surprised with an envelope which had 2 cookies inside. A nice touch.
We met with Sami Musleh. We recommend this Sales Representative, he quickly gets to know his Client(s) and directs you to the best options catered to the individual. I am 100% satisfied with my new purchase. Thank you Sami!
I have a very happy purchase experience with Otto's Subaru. I ordered a 17 Impreza in mid-November before its official release in Canada. So I did not expect I could have any discount on this new model. However, the sales from Otto's Subaru was very honest and transparent about the pricing and configuration. A decent discount was offered. I accepted the offer and signed the bill of sales within 10 minutes after I talked to the sales rep(meanwhile, coffee and snack were served). It saved me a lot of time and effort to negotiate the deal. While I was waiting for the delivery, I changed my mind of the other color. But the sales rep and manager were very helpful and adaptive to my new choice. They also have a specialist to give professional and detail instruction about your new car while you pick it up. I would like to thank Ran Hao, Sales and Leasing Consultant; Pingchuan Guo, Delivery Coordinator and the management team for their professional service and welcoming ambiance.
I am disappointed in both Subaru dealerships in Ottawa. This dealership, every single car on the lot was dirty with garbage, food wrappers and used tissues. The service was the slowest you can imagine. Upon my arrival there were a number of younger guys, I assume salespeople, were watching TV by the kitchen and there was an older gentleman helping a customer. I finally got one of young guys to help me, his lack of energy and enthusiasm was boarder line rude. He wanted to be anywhere but working on day before Canada day. He received several phone calls on his cell while I was talking to him and he took everyone of them, including a call while we are on the road test driving. I liked the Forester but after dealing with both dealerships in Ottawa and finding out about their awful their after services, I am moving on to another brand of car. I am very disappointed that such a great product is being handled by the two most awful dealerships in Ottawa. Car buying should not be an awful experience as it was for me in this past week and half with these two dealerships.
James Hubbard was awesome to deal with from start to finish any small glitches James took care of as a true professional he got me the exact car I wanted at the price I wanted he made this experience great that said we almost walked away from Ottos twice due to another sales person that was aggressive untruthful and escalated small issues into large problems if Eric Laflamme try’s to sell to you walk away! request James Hubbard you will be happy
I had a great experience from my first visit to the moment I picked up the car. Nan gave a 5 star service, John (finance) and the girl that finished the last details and delivers the car (sorry but I don't remember her name) as well. Thank you for giving me attention after many terrible experiences from other dealers.
This car dealer does not offer lifetime engine/transmission warranty for any used cars they sale. Also, they not even considering negotiating any of their listed pricing, instead they bombarding you with emails invitations to go and see them in person or call them. When called, price negotiation even for a vehicle with higher mileage, was not possible. Out for grab kind of business. Would not recommend dealing with Otta's Subaru.
This review refers to Dave Parshall. David was the sales consultant who helped me with my Impreza lease and now with my decision to buy this car. He was excellent from all points of view: professionalism, courtesy, fairness. He offered me all information to help me decide. I would recommend David to everyone who would want to buy a car in this top-quality dealership! Sorin
My wife and I just bought a 2021 Crosstrek from Sami and we were very happy with the whole process, Sami was great to work with along with others at the dealership, all in all we had a great experience at Otto's and would recommend! Bonus part is the car is also pretty cool!
Well, I just got back from the Stealership. Firstly, they didn't want to warranty the wheels, they are saying the "socket" caused the damage, even though it's impossible a socket can cause this extensive of damage. Then the Service Manger asked me if I had tracked yet, I told her, "No, not yet". The rep from Subaru said he was going to take my vin number and put down that "I will be tracking it" and that it's "detrimental to my warranty". As most of you know, my warranty is void for "TURBO" reason. But I could just imagine if I would not have my turbo how this would of pissed me off, telling me that you are putting my vin down as a track car because I answered "No, not yet"? Thinking that I will absolutely track it? Do me favor, stay away from Otto's Subaru, worst stealership I have had to deal with!
Awesome buying experience with Sami. Was looking for something specific and he contacted me as soon as he found it. Great follow up, even better service. Knows his product inside and out. His attention to detail in dealing with clients is second to none. My delivery was handled along with Allez who was the consummate professional and so personable. They both made by pick up a breeze. Best dealership experience I have had to date, huge thank you to you both!!
I read this review about their service station and hoped the dealership would be as courteous. Unfortunately that is not the case. I test drove a vehicle I liked, but went home to think about it. The Salesperson called to follow up, I told him I liked the car but not the extra fees ($300 etching etc.), so he said he can take that off the price of the car. I went back in, and he said he couldn't take it off any more. LIES. So then I had to waste another hour of my life negotiating it back. grr, I should have gone through a negotiator as my friends recommended. Anyway I eventually bought the car, signed for it and paid for it. On delivery day, I went to pick up my brand new car, and it had scratches, and an extra 200 km on it. I told them that it wasn't the car I bought (as they promised <26km), and this was a demo car not the new car I paid for. It even had scratches on it already. The told me the plates had been changed over already, and that every car was like this; and probably a bunch more lies I tuned out. And they would buff out the scratches. This is an experience I would never wish upon anyone.
Extremely RUDE front desk! I came in and said I have a appointment about something. The front desk guy said: 'service right? Go out, turn left, and access from the service door.' Where it is 15 steps from the front desk. He Did not tell me the service door is locked so I tried to open and wait there in strong wind for minutes until someone really nice opened the door and told me I only need to drop my key in the envelope.
We had such an amazing experience right from day 1. First we set up a test drive and that went awesome. We decided after about a month that we wanted to purchase our next vehicle here. James was beyond amazing he even came in on his day off …
Had a great experience buying my new Subaru WRX with Patrick. He did everything in his ability to find me the great car I wanted, that agreed with my budget and was very friendly and personable while doing it. This guy knows his stuff and was very helpful in showing me the ins and outs of the contract which made my first new car purchase at dealership an enjoyable experience. Go see this man if you're looking for a great deal with no pressure and knowledgeable assistance in your next new vehicle purchase!
Sami Musleh provided some of the best car shopping customer service I’ve ever received. He’s incredibly attentive to the needs of the client, believes in his product and wants you to be happy in the long run. Win. Win. Win.
I picked up my new Crosstrek yesterday. I absolutely love it . I had a wonderful experience during the entire process with Subaru Otto. So many wonderful surprises, like the donation in my name to a charity , the beautiful gift basket ! Not necessary and wasn’t expected but so appreciated. A big part of my fantastic experience was having the pleasure of dealing with James Hubbard as my sales person. I would recommend him without hesitation. He answered all of my many questions, was very knowledgeable and patient. His attitude is first class. He made every aspect of buying the car seamless. Great job Subaru Otto.
Sami is the reason we purchased a Subaru at Otto's. We visited several dealerships including other Subaru dealers and found Sami the most knowledgeable and helpful sales person. Sami is not a typical car salesman. He was not pushy, did not try to sell us something we didn't need, knew the vehicle well and was able to provide useful recommendations. We lucked out having Sami greet us when we first arrived at Otto's. I would recommend booking an appointment with Sami if you are looking to buy a Subaru in the Ottawa area. Sami deserves 5 stars. In terms service at the dealership, it seems communication is poor between the various departments at Otto's. The service department has been very pleasant, though our first experience resulted in issues not being properly fix and part of the work not completed.
No pressure from sales...friendly and helpful. ..love my Impreza...a great deal and new car buying experience . Thanks James H!
Had the best all round experience. From the purchasing with David, who is very welcoming and pleasant, with a no pressure approach. He walked us through the various vehicle and purchase options and we purchased the vehicle we wanted with some perks added in. James was equally informative and presented the various options for maintaining the looks of a new vehicle, also giving us what we think was a good deal. Not ending there, the orientation by Rick was the most comprehensive we have experienced in our far too many years of buying vehicles - especially in explaining the many safety features. Overall a great buying experience - ending with a surprise "Thank-you" gift. Two thumbs up!
We recently bought a 2019 Forester from Otto's. This was by far the best car buying experience we've every had. Sami and Bryan were amazing to deal with throughout the entire process. Hats Off!!!
I had the pleasure of dealing with PatrIck. The ultimate in professionalism, always pleasant and accommodating. You are lucky to have him on your team.
If you want a Subaru, buy it from the other dealership. We had a wait time for our car 6wks, They refused to give us an exact date and never called us once with any kind of update. every time we had to call and ask them for updates. Then the Sales Concierge completely lied to us. "if you can't give us 10 out of 10, on the satisfaction survey, let me know and I'll make it right" Well she completely ignored my calls and emails. I have had better customer service buying a TV at bestbuy than a $35k car at Otto's!
I just switched to OTTO'S SUBARU from the Ogilvie dealership. What a difference!!! The service here is amazing. From Carla being the friendly, helpful, service manager, to the entire staff I dealt with, it took away my nightmares from Ogilvie location. This is the only place I will bring my Subaru to now. Great, friendly, professional, staff. What a difference a family-run business makes.
Imad was very helpful and knowledgeable. I usually don’t like buying cars but this was a very stress free and pleasant experience.
I highly recommend going to Otto's Subaru. I dealt with Sami who was very helpful in every step of buying my new car. He was professional, pleasant, and very knowledgable. Upon picking up my car, I had the pleasure to deal with Ping, who helped explain all the features and how to use them (I struggle when it comes to technology). He made the process so easy and made it easier to understand. i definitely recommend seeing Sami to purchase a new vehicle or Ping to help with anything before you drive it away!
Worst dealership experience ever (and I’ve bought 12 cars before). Waited 5mn before being greeted and asked if I needed some help, then was assigned a salesman who played that old school trick of “Oh the 2 lowest trims you’re considering are not available anywhere AT ALL (we hadn’t even discussed color or options yet eh...), BUT I can give you a great deal on that highest trim”. Thank you and good bye, that overselling technique may work on your average buyer, but you will never ever get my business, and I will make sure that everybody I know who’s interested in buying a Subaru never sets foot in your stealership. You’re lucky the lowest rating is 1 star, you don’t even deserve it...
This is our second vehicle purchased from Otto's Subaru in Ottawa. Sami was a huge help once again, this time with leasing a 2021 Subaru Ascent. He really went above and beyond to accommodate our busy schedule to demo a couple of vehicles. We were especially thrilled with the efficiency at making the car buying experience quick and easy. Sami was very helpful and recommended the perfect vehicle to meet our family's needs. We are very happy with our experience and would definitely recommend Sami to anyone looking to purchase or lease a vehicle.
Poor service experience. The Service Adviser was pleasant but she had to call the Service Manager to make a correction after I was overcharged. Clara, the Service Manager was very rude and condescending towards me and offered no apology for their mistake.
My wife and I would like to thank Otto's Subaru for our awesome car buying experience the other day. Both Sami and Mark made the experience easy and pleasant. We would certainly recommend Otto's to family and friends. Otto's is truly a class act.
I just picked up my first Subaru @Ottos and I dealt with Sami and let me say if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have gotten the car.He made my experience @Ottos very pleasant and smooth. Thank you for taking care of me Sami much appreciated.
The salesman, James was extremely authentic! Almost rare to find. For instance, my friend and I would negotiate the price and he would kindly go to his manager, Tom to discuss. This is a step forward in making an effort and providing great customer service.
Derrick Weir, provided me with amazing customer service. Helped me get my dream car and I would not have been happier going to another dealership or deal with another service rep.
Very trash, complete joke of a business. Will not take responsibility for their own faults. Will give you an extremely hard time.
Great to deal with, super nice and friendly staff that treat you well. Update - we have since purchased a vehicle here and Chris our salesman went above and beyond and the entire team made us feel comfortable and treated us very fairly, even surprised us with some great savings. We love our new subaru and highly recommend them, best dealership of all that we visited.
Dishonest and untrustworthy. I was sold on it being an "official" dealership, but I was wrong. Wasted so much of our time! Very glad I didn't go through with the purchase. Definitely not a pleasant experience.
I was told good things about this place, my experience was not. I called in to book an appointment and the guy took all my information and VIN and left me on hold. 10 minutes later the call was disconnected. I tried calling again only to be left on hold by the service department until disconnect. This happened 7 times throughout the day and finally when I was able to speak to the service department again they had none of my information.
Just purchased our third Subaru from Sami at Otto’s. . Great experience as always. He made it simple and an easy process. Would recommend him anytime.
Its a great experience buying a car from Otto's Subaru. We have bought 2 cars from Otto's Subaru, both times we dealt with Sami Musleh. Great Service, no pressure, and Sami listens to what you want and helps you find the best deal. If you are looking for a Subaru, Sami at Otto's is who you should ask for. Thanks so much Sami for all your help.
Sami, Elias and Simi were very helpful and available to answer questions at all times. They were very honest about their inventory and set realistic expectations. Great service!
Purchased a 2020 Forester in Sept. 2020. Sale went well and we like the vehicle. Just make sure that you check every line on the invoice carefully when you pick up the vehicle. A mistake was made with my extended warranty and repeated emails to the business manager for updates have been completely ignored.
I had a bad experience at that dealer too. I wanted to give a 1-star rating but it might be unfair for all the other people working there and previously working there. I went there not a long time ago expecting to buy a WRX but clearly the guy (old) wasn't interested to sell me a car at all. I told him at first I was planning to buy the car in early May and since that moment, he was so not helpful. I was asking if I could get some accessories and more specific questions and the guy was always answering by "It's too early, you will buy in May anyway". I got the same exact answer when I asked him if I could try one. Not only that, he also told me than if I want to buy in May, I can only buy the 2021 WRX and not the 2020. What the hell? First thing is, we don't even know yet when it will come out and I am pretty sure he doesn't either. 2nd thing is, since when you can't order a 2020 when we are actually 2020? I don't know what was that guy problem that day but, I am not roaming all the car dealers just for fun. If I come in, it is in fact because I am interested to purchase. So in the end, instead of wasting my time with that guy, I went to Québec side (Subaru Outaouais) even if I live on Ontario side. MUCH better service and the guy was actually very patient and helpful on my concerns and needs. I decided to make the deal (signed) with them. Sorry Otto's Subaru but you just lost a 43k deal and a future customer.
Twice in a row I had work done and they damaged my car. The first time they were quite understanding and apologetic and comped me on the work, so I went back. This time they scratched the car and were then extremely rude and defensive when I pointed it out. Will never return and would recommend everyone avoid using them.
Been driving my new Crosstrek outdoor model for a couple of weeks now and I love it! This is the second Crosstrek we've purchased, last one was a Sport model but I love the rugged look of the outdoor model. As usual, we always go see our guy Sami Musleh! Sami takes his time walking my wife and I through our many questions. He's always up-front and honest and goes above and beyond even after the sale goes through. We love our Subaru and Sami so much that we've referred friends to him and we're even trying to convince both parents to buy a Subaru from Sami. Thanks Sami for your service and we'll definitely be back!
I just bought a brand new Subaru Forester from Otto's and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Of course the car is fantastic too. Their salesman Jialin Qiu was super helpful, honest, easy to work with and applied absolutely no pressure. The whole purchase experience couldn't have been easier. This is the second car I've purchased from Otto's and likely won't be my last. Thanks so much to the Otto's team for the fine delivery today.
Had a great experience here leasing my new car! Eric Laflamme was very professional and knowledgeable about Subaru’s line up and all the different options available. Thanks!
We are happy with the car we purchased from Otto's Subaru dealership. We received quick responses to our questions before and after purchasing our vehicle, so we are very satisfied overall.
As mentioned in previous reviews making a service appointment is difficult. Usually there's no one to take your call and if you leave a message your call is not returned. It has gotten worse in the past couple of years. I left a message once and the person said she had no clue when my call would be returned. It took two days to finally make an appointment. The number of people servicing their vehicles will suffer if something is not corrected.
