Overall good experience I was a bit uncertain about this place because I usually don't rent from off airport agencies but gave then a try. They wanted a statement from my insurance company that I was covered. Knowing this ahead i emailed the confirmation from my provider and there was now hassle at the point when I arrived to rent the car. The hours I arrived and left were earlier than they were opened so their"sister" company (Universal car rental) looked after us. They picked us up at the airport shuttle location and we even got an unexpected $10 reduction on the quoted price. The car was a Matrix with 50km on it but still in ok shape. I am planning to rent from them again for a longer period based on this test rent I did and the overall ok experience. I waited a few days after to make sure there were no surprise charges which drive me nuts, but all seems ok.

the guys are fantastic. I rented a car from them after an accident. I realized later that I do not have rental coverage for accidents although I could sworn I did. I informed Peel Car and Truck the next day and they said no problem and came and picked up the car. They even apologized that I didn't have coverage (even though that's not their fault - I guess they just felt bad). Great bunch of people - would rent from them again.

Rented a car from them while handling my claim. The rental was hit while parked and unoccupied, by another driver. I supplied the rental company the police report which states all details. A few months later, they withdraw my deductible from my credit card, and are trying to say that in the contract even if you aren't at fault you still pay up to $5000 in damages. That's a SCAM. If I'm not at fault for a parked car, the other drivers insurance already paid out and took care of everything. The money they took from my card is literally just money to go into their pockets. Tomorrow I have an interview with GoPublic. We'll be sitting down to discuss this and inform the rest of brampton NOT to use this company. I will be making sure to attend with my contract, collision report with police notes. I refuse to let this happen to someone else when they're already stressed out with the loss of their vehicle.

I work for the City of Toronto and I got in to a wreck as a result of hitting a deer on the highway. The body shop arranged my tow and referred me to Peel Rental who ensured I made it back home safely by accommodating their services. Very knowledgeable of the area, affordable, good team, prompt and polite upon engaging in conversation with them !

My elderly parents rented a vehicle from this location through airport rentals dot com. The vehicle exchanged hands at night, and my parents weren't given the option to view the vehicle for damage prior to taking the vehicle over. My parents were pressured to pay for the additional insurance while on site, prior to leaving with the vehicle. Once they brought the vehicle back, the representative said there was a scratch/damage to the vehicle's rear bumper. The representative denied the insurance purchase and coverage of damages. The representative requested the proof of payment from my parents. The representative never gave the proof of payment back. My parents were expecting to pay only about $800 for their 50th wedding anniversary with family, but were forced to pay about $1800, with accusations and scams. Please... Do not use this company to rent a vehicle.

Reserved the car months in advance and on the day of pickup they would not rent it out to me. Reason? I don't have my own liability insurance. When I asked how much they charge for liability insurance I was told that they don't offer liability insurance to locals only people flying in. Reservation canceled, vacation trip ruined. Started as a budget experience, ended in a complex scam. They pretend to be the off brand local family underdog and have to be called to cone and pick you up from viscount station. Then they scratch their heads because what you paid already doesn't cover the out of hours pick up (I since learned this is what they try with everyone). So they charge another $30 and waste an hour of your trip. Then they won't let you go unless you buy More insurance cover. This is well known in car rental, excess cover is always a bit suspect. But when I explained I already had cover they would not believe it until I had emailed proof. No one else would care. When I return my ancient Nissan with 80k on the clock he suddenly finds a tiny scratch that has rust on it. The kind of thing I pointed out and he said was fine 10 days previous. But now he has to charge $500. They're not actually going to repair it so why are the insurance company taking an excess? Its a bushit scam and I have since read more reviews where they did exactly the same thing. Actively avoid !!

If you do get into an accident please go elsewhere as they will charge even after you drop off the car and make an issue with your insurance company. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Make sure you get your rental deposit back as they tried to keep my deposit money

Good company as per my experience. I remember late nights service despite most closed. Many people happy to get car to their home. I hope you guys bus shuttle service car and more locations. All customers must understand there are many complex issues to be dealt with before picking up car. Let them know USA in advance as we know many cars don't come back in certain areas. Please get cube trucks too for moving ! We need them.

I recently rented a car from Peel Car Rentals. Unfortunately the car was not available on the Friday after I arrived due to immigration causing me to be late for the pick-up. Customer support did organise another car for me from another company, however this fell through due to the owner trying to pressure me into paying extra. The car was a 2018 Honda Civic and it was high spec. I paid 57 CAD per day for the car and GPS. The pick-up and drop-off inspections were a bit rushed, however it all went smoothly in the end. I would recommend taking time to mark the sheet with any scratches and dents prior to leaving with the car, even if the person rushes this part. Ask them to review the sheet before you leave with the car. The inspection is done before they hand over the keys (after all the money is sorted etc). I was apprehensive when returning the car due to reading the other reviews, however I had taken some pictures of the scratches from the time I was picking up the car. I had never marked these scratches on the inspection sheets. In the end the experience was great. The car was great. There was no problems with the deposit. The drop-off and pick-up were speedy. For the sake of your deposit, I would recommend paying the extra insurance cover. This guarantees your deposit back in the event that there is damage done to the exterior of the car. Even if you drive carefully, some passer-by can still damage the exterior when it's parked up or someone might hit the car with their door when you're parked beside them. You are liable for this damage to the outside of the car, even if you don't crash. Extra insurance was 75 CAD for 3 days. The deposit was 350 CAD. In future I'll definitely buy the extra insurance for peace of mind. This was my experience with Peel Car Rentals. This doesn't guarantee your experience will be the same. Definitely take the pre-cautions of marking the sheet prior to leaving with the car, and if you can afford it, get the extra insurance for peace of mind. Based on this experience, I will definitely use this company again in the future and I would recommend another visitor to Toronto to consider renting from the company.

Usually I never write review but my experience with Peel was horrible so I had to share. I booked a rental car with Peel 2 weeks in advance and received confirmation from them. Arrived in Toronto from a flight and called them for shuttle service and they basically told me they didnt receive confirmation and there was no vehicles available. I had proof of confirmation in my email and provided the number and he basically said sorry we didnt receive anything, you're on your own. The guy didnt even provide any resources or help with my situation as I arrived for a special occasion with my girlfriend and had plans in Niagara Falls. They obviously overbooked and are disorganized but they were trying to place blame on me. Luckily I was able to call a competent car rental who had a vehicle but I had to pay double the price. Unbelievable experience especially when you're just starting a vacation. Travelers, if you're coming from out of the province and/or country , you're best to use a different car rental to avoid issues.

Rented a car from Dec 23 until Dec 30. Nothing big good things to say about my experience with this company. Paul who I dealt when picking up the car was great. He did not try to push all of the extra insurance onto me like most companies do. Service was very fast and efficient. Upon dropping off the car one of the staff went the extra mile and drove me to my hotel a few blocks away. Very happy with this company and will use again in a heart beat.

Total scam artists. They pretend to be super nice and upfront until you sign the contract. They filled in information on the contract that I didn't agree to. Length of rental. Then charge an insane amount $ 275 per day if you don't keep it for their set length. STAY AWAY! Go with a major reputable company instead.

THIS IS THE WORST CAR RENTAL PLACE IN ALL OF CANADA!!!!!!!! if you're wondering why inflation is so bad in Canada, here is an example of why: I have never experienced such a profane level of unprofessional, mediocracy, and disgusting level of corruption within one single company. Not only are their business practises unfair, but they are also an embarrassment to the city of peel in which they serve. Canada needs to clean up on businesses like this, because not only do they cause such negative ramification to society with their awfully terrible services, but they also fail to comply with standards of a Canadian corporation as prescribed in the Canadian Corporations Act.

i don't normally do reviews but but on this occasion I feel it's my duty to stop any other human being from even thinking that using peel car rental is a good idea. After returning the car we were then told that we needed to pay again, surprise surprise. We were then told all the reasons why which basically boiled down to the fact that they were unable to run their own company finances and expected use to do so for them. After a heated discussion and the owner Paul being extremely aggressive we were eventually dropped back at the airport. Now a month later peel car rentals has to taken a large sum of money from our account for no reason. Please do yourself a favour don't bother with peel it's a waste of time, money, effort and the only thing guaranteed from them is a bad end to your holiday. DO NOT USE.

Showed up to the airport with confirmation of a booked car and when we called the shuttle they refused to pick us up and said they had no cars left. They confirmed that they could see our reservation but would not provide a vehicle and offered no help. Super unfortunate since we were visiting from another province and had plans to travel with this company. Will never recommend this to anyone ever. Stay away

Worst fraud guy I have ever met. We had reached an hour late due to our flight.the guy told he was closed.we had to stay the night in a motel after paying 100 dollars due to these crooks.i drove the car nicely even cleaned before returning .the owner,s son said no defect but later charged my card from deposit.also he dropped us at train terminal instead of the airport as promised.

When we arrived at Toronto airport we were collected and taken to Peel Car Rentals, all seemed fine until we were asked where we would be going on our vacation, as soon as we mentioned we would be travelling approx.40 miles into USA we were told there was now an additional fee of $50 plus tax (totalling $68). We have hired cars from Toronto airport and driven into USA before and have never been charged extra for this. As we were now at Peel Car Rental we had very little option other than to pay. We were also informed that our unlimited mileage option was no longer valid, we had a limit of 200 miles per day. It is also very hard to find Peel Car Rental when returning the car, this took us approx. 45 minutes of driving round and round the same block to find the correct entrance.My advice would be to stick to one of the larger on airport companies, it is cheaper and easier in the long run.

DO NOT USE! Well! First of all, when we dropped the hire car back they said we had to pay regardless of the fact that obviously we had already paid prior to even entering the country! He came around the desk, raising his voice, demanding payment despite being fully aware we had already paid the parent company and became more and more aggressive. I'm glad it was my husband I was travelling with because if it was just me and my mother we likely would have paid again just to get out of there. How many other tourists has he ripped off in this way?! He was extremely intimidating. Worse still, clearly not satisfied with completely souring a lovely break we get home and find he has taken the money off of our credit card so he has actually now STOLEN from us too!! We have paid twice for a shocking service from the rudest and most horrid man I've ever met. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE, DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. As you can see from the response this business owner doesn't seem to realise that he is responsible for getting his money from the business that provides his work so he will just steal it from your bank a month or so later and say it's your fault even though he does not tell you about any parent company issues when you pick up your vehicle so that you are fully aware of all the details so that you can make an informed decision. This company steals from you bank account DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
