Galaxy rv in Vic is kinda lame, understaffed with a non existent receptionist and all the units were locked and even tho they know what your looking for. They're showing me stuff outta my budget and layout so ? I had to find what I wanted to look at It's not about helping the customer It's always about the money so ?? Not worth a visit

When we walked onto the lot of Galaxy, I had no intention of actually purchasing a unit. I was there to look, and get ideas of what I might want in the future. Cowboy Jim came in on his day off, on his own time to show us around! We purchased a new motorhome from Galaxy RV and before we had a chance to use it for vacation the slide room jammed and it took all of July and half of August to get it repaired. That wasn't the fault of Galaxy but was due to the delay in getting a new slide out tracks and motors. Forest River Coachmen has difficulty providing parts which had we known this ahead of time we wouldn't have purchased the motorhome. Andy, Karen and John at Galaxy RV have been terrific to deal with and just as soon as the parts were available put their experienced staff on fixing the slide out and it now works great. It's the end of the summer now but we're looking forward to a trip to the Rockies with it in September. We're very happy with Galaxy because they've been very responsive to us. Thanks!

We bought the trailer brand new from Cow Boy Jim, he is great to deal with 5 stars for him alone. We had some issues with the trailer which where fixed. But today is what made me give 5 star review. Our regulator went on our new trailer, not galaxy fault at all. But Troy sent a tech to my inlaws to fix my trailer so we did not need to tow it back in westshore. The tech was so friendly and so nice, he was great to talk to and explained everything he was doing on the trailer. So between Cow Boy Jim, Troy and the tech I had a great experience they have been quick to fix my trailer.

After reading the reviews I thought these guys would be great, but man was I wrong! Unprofessional is probably the best way to describe this place, especially the manager Ryan. Save yourself the time and energy and go to a place that actually wants to see you happy and not just find out how much money you make and what they can get out of you. Bought a RV at the end of June, had to leave it there for 2 weeks for them to do their inspections etc. They were aware that we would be living in this RV for some months whilst our house is being completely renovated and so needed to be more than liveable. We then paid an additional $4,500 for an extended warranty on top of the the purchase price “in case anything came up” was how they worded it they also informed you that the staff would come out and make repairs to where the trailer was. We then had an appointment with a member of ‘staff’ who showed us round the trailer or in their words “A 2 hour course for novices”. It was an absolute joke! We were informed that he didn’t know anything about electrics so he would not be able to show us how any of that worked. Also that our trailer was too old to have separate tanks and that the grey and black matter went into the same tank (we have 3 tanks by the way and the trailer is 2015/6 so not old) He then proceeded to give me a lecture on how not to wash my hair every day because the trailer would not be able to cope with it! Please note my husbands hair is longer than mine is LOL We picked up the trailer, placed it on the site where we would living for the few months and there it sat for the next 2 weeks. Over those 2 we started to notice various issues with the trailer. Problems with the Audio system Broken latches on main back window Leaking grey water system We’ve contacted Galaxy RV multiple times, telephone, email etc supplied photographs. It was obviously a problem when we bought this trailer. Last time we spoke to them, 3 weeks ago they demanded a copy of our extended warranty! Why??? We gave it to them but these issues were in existence before we even used the trailer. It’s now been almost 2 months and they’ve not done anything or even returned our calls. Next step I fear is legal action as winter is fast approaching and we will be living in an RV that is not going to stand up to the winter weather at all. The BBB needs to look into this business Edited to add - owners response is a copy and paste from others. My name is not James, the other poor reviews are from ‘James’ My issues with the RV bought from you have now escalated far beyond the above mentioned. Leaks, black mold everywhere to the point that I suffered with black mold poisoning, emails not answered, having to put my family into emergency accommodation over Xmas at a cost of $8K for a month. I am now putting this in the hands of a legal team and the VSA, you have my RV back now and despite me still sending you emails offering you a way out by buying back the RV, you’re still ignoring them. Shame on you

But once we had a chat with the folks at Galaxy RV we felt we were treated with respect and honesty, which really helped our purchasing decision. Very friendly staff, low quality product. We dealt with a newer salesman who admittedly didn't know everything about the campers he's selling. That's fine, he was friendly and we were happy to work with him. However he gave us some false information about the trailer we purchased that wasn't discovered until after possession. When we first looked at the trailer, it had apparently just arrived to the lot and hadn't gone through whatever quality control they do prior to selling. We were assured that the broken moldings etc were just from travelling to Canada and it would be all fixed up before we took it home. Turns out the shadow cruiser is just poor quality and cheaply made. The more time we spend in it, the more we find to be faulty. We were told there would be a ladder for the bunks ("it's not installed yet"), there isn't. We were told there was a back up camera, there isn't. Etc. Again, the staff are all very friendly and great to deal with, but overall I feel like we were cheated a bit on what we bought. You can definitely get better quality for a $50,000 trailer elsewhere.

A great friend of mine refered me to Galaxy so I made the drive to langford. Oddly after walking around for 20 minutes I couldn't see any one to help me out and trailers were locked. I walked into the store and found kim or karen (I don't remember) who had a dirty jacket on and jeans so I thought she was like me looking for a sales person. To my surprise she said she worked there. We began to walk outside and went to a shadow cruiser. Once we walked in I could see there was water all over the floor and looked like someone had been living it in. I asked if it was used and then kim got aggressive, at this point as we were close I could smell marijuana. I asked to see another brand and she said they didn't have anythingyet similar but should come inside and factory order. I just felt uncomfortable and decided to leave. I guess it's hard to find good help during covid.

Recently purchased a Shasta 18fq. Have been out a couple time so far and trailer is great with lots of room. They set our trailer hitch up for us including setting up the weight distribution hitch. Other then a small cup board door not closing problem which they are taking care of there are no issues. Staff was great help even down to paper signing. Thanks again

we planned on buying a trailer 4.5 months ago...looked at it, made a deal with the manager because it needed some fixes to it...financing approved, sounds great right? Well, this experience has turned into a nightmare and an exciting new adventure into money paid with nothing to show for it but time wasted and plans cancelled. This company to this date still has my trailer, with no time-frame or compensation provided to me for this transaction and wait. It may have been different if they completed a full inspection initially but they did not and it turned out to be a weekly call (initiated by me) to find out updates to only learn there was another issue that needed addressing and another wait time provided. I went out to see the trailer a few weeks ago and found the work they had done to it was extremely poor that someone with no idea of how to do flooring could've produced a better job, plus they didn't touch the water damaged areas which was part of the deal. And I also found out the trailer had been used as shortage for someone else's trailer. So after 3.5 months of financing approved and paid to this company I am still waiting for a part to be delivered and replaced in the trailer, so who knows when that'll come. I highly recommend buying a trailer from a legit company....or this could be your experience if you go with a used unit.

This place has sold us a shoddily built motorhome and promised to put a coat of sealent on the entire vehicle before time and weather began destroying the paint, they took our money to do the job and not bothered to pretend to fix the problem as they did with the propane furnace and stairs, Galaxy owes us the 5000 we paid for the protection coat and whatever the cost to return the paint to new we still have not received a call from Galaxy they never gave us the protective coat it's been well over a year going on 2 years that's $5,000 extra they charge us we are very unhappy and we are poverty stricken as a result of this home and we regret very much ever purchasing from Galaxy motors

Thanks to Cowboy Jim of Galaxy RV, we have our RV safely on our site on a Gulf Island. Without Jim we would neither have purchased nor have an RV to enjoy our love of nature. Jim walked alongside us as we had a very difficult steep site prepared. He visited the site on his own time in the snow to ensure the trailer could be feasibly hauled up the steep incline. This enabled our purchase. Electrical connections and other difficulties with a rural site were overcome with the advice and help of Jim. Finally, he drove the truck and brought the RV to the site this week. A good man with a sense of humour and a "can do" attitude. Many thanks Jim.

We have been the proud and happy owners of a $100 000+ motorhome however we are not at all pleased with the people deciding warranty liability issues, there are to many to list each in detail at this point in time but the overall theme is they blame all the issues on us and by doing so squirm out of covering the costs, I offer Victoria galaxy motors a opportunity to repair now what is relatively a bunch of small problems to the RV they sold us and if I don't have any indication that they will then I promise to every Sunday give a review each dedicated to a seperate failure on their part to honor the warrenty where they're instead pointing the finger saying "ITs YOUR FAULT! finger

Then there was “cowboy” Jim ... he ran us through everything on our trailer and made sure we felt safe leaving . If you are wanting to buy a trailer you need to ask for him. He is so great with our 4 year old as well . Also Aiden from their service department put on our hitch and sway bars and had a really great sense of humour . Please if you are looking for a trailer come here. We looked all over and did not get looked after like we did here ! Oh and Cannot forget Rachel ! (I hope I got her name right ). She was the finance lady . She also has a great sense of humour and was a pleasure to deal with . They really made us feel like family . What a great experience ????????????

Absolutely terrible experience with this place. Ryan the manager is in the wrong business as he gets very aggressive when simply negotiating, he scared my girlfriend and her friend. They talk to you like your stupid and try to take advantage of you when they find out how much money you make.. Embarrassing..

BUYER BEWARE! Do not purchase anything from Galaxy RV. You will regret it. I purchased a BRAND NEW Kodiak Ultimate trailer from Galaxy RV. Within 2 uses we noticed a soft spot in the floor. Upon looking at it, the entire underbelly of the floor was rotten with black mould. I'm talking back to front mould. We paid $500 for an inspection at Galaxy which clearly was never done. The trailer apparently was not fixable here so back to Keystone in Indiana (40 hrs away) for repair it went. The entire trailer had to be stripped down and rebuilt. It was gone for months and finally returned. In transport back to BC Canada the fresh water tank fell out onto the highway. Wait what? The floor was just replaced and the tank just fell out? It wasn't even fastened. How the hell does that get missed when they "test it" in their "testing bays?" All of the wiring and sensors needed to be replaced. I have spent COUNTLESS hours back and forth with Galaxy and Keystone and they have zero regard for their customers. As soon as black mould was found it should have been 100% replaced with a new one, no questions asked. It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with these people. The staff has had several turn overs constantly passing the blame as to who's fault it is. Zero accountability. There has been no offer of a loaner even. We bought a compromised trailer for a substantial amount of money and they don't give a damn about you after they make their sale. So here I am paying for a trailer that hasn't been in my possession since January. Galaxy has not gone to bat for us at all. I have made every single phone call/email and had to FIGHT for what's owed to me. Do not buy anything from Galaxy RV or Keystone/Dutchman because if you have a problem you will not be taken care of.
