We were a little all over the place in the beginning looking at both new & used vehicles and he was very patient and accommodating. He took us to another dealership in the O'Regan's family to look at a car and also brought another vehicle in for us too. He never over sold us or pressured us. He was super kind to our 11 year old and also picked me up and dropped me off to take a test drive. Even after the purchase he is still helping us out, ordering an English manual and following up! I said I might have to call somewhere else. She said "ok, thanks" and hung up. 16 day wait for an oil change? Ridiculous. I will go to Mazda instead.

Wrost customer service ever experienced. The sales representative Adam Chater was unethical and have no knowledge about sales neither the product detail. I questioned him about the car and he had no clue about it. He showed me the demo car in the showroom and just got disappeared from their. I felt he was least interested in doing sales and explaining about the car feature. I believe Oregan’s should hire more experienced staff rather than such a useless staff who knows nothing about the car he is selling. I suggest other to not consider Oregans Hyundai as a priority as because once you are been their would demotivate you to buy a car rather check out other dealers who would give you good pricing and a brief detail about what your buying.

Dealt with Amanda on a warranty issue. Brought vehicle in yesterday after an engine issue on highway, Amanda quickly had the vehicle in the bay and looked at by a technician. She called me this morning (less than 16 hours) and told me she submitted photos to Hyundai warranty and got it approved for a Brand New Engine. She then told me she had a rental booked for me while the issue was being fixed! Wow. Amanda, you've been amazing to deal with and Dartmouth Hyundai should consider you an Asset! Your professionalism, consistency and going above and beyond is the perfect customer service I've ever recieved! Give your self a pat on the back. Amazing job and I will tell everyone how amazing Hyundai has been to me. I really believe Amanda should be recognized and rewarded for this! Thanks guys!

Had an appointment booked this afternoon to discuss purchasing the advertised Christmas 'deal' O'Regan's Hyndai had posted in every metro in Halifax. Upon arriving, the manager had to be 'reminded' of the deal by the sales agent and all of a sudden the deal boasting $83 weekly payments with $0 down turned into $5000 down with monthly payments of $711. I kid you not. And that was WITH a 2013 Honda trade in accounted for. The manager kept our credit card and our keys as a 'show of good faith' on our end while we discussed finances. When we called their offers ridiculous they suggested we were looking at a vehicle we couldn't afford anyhow. We will be following up with the BBB.

I went in to price out a 2015 Sonata. I was greeted by Jeff Black, who was extremely professional and listened to all of my concerns. It was nice to deal with a salesman who listened rather than pushing an agenda and trying to constantly sell me something I didn't need. Although we didn't close the deal on day one, Jeff kept me in the loop without making me feel pressured to buy. He genuinely wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied before making a final decision. I came back later that month and signed the deal. We loved our Santa fe (which i have to say held up pretty good compaired to the other car!) and knew we would replace it with a new Santa Fe. The warmth, care, and concern as well as the knowledge and professionalism displayed by both the salesperson, Amanda Dixon, and the financial services manager, Elizabeth Warde, are second to none. Amanda gave me a 45-minute explanation of every feature of my car before I drove off the lot. She knows so much. It is clear that she very carefully studies the cars that she sells and truly has a wealth of knowledge at her command. What she doesn't know, she immediately researches. She set my car settings to the best parameters for me and she explained why she did and how to change them! Moreover, she is so pleasant and easy going, and gives no pressure to buy. She simply gave us the information needed to help us pick the car that best suited our difficult taste, our many needs (we're a family of five 6-footers), and our financial situation. I asked her whether she comes from a family of salespeople. She does, and it shows. She heard my husband listening to gospel music on our test drives, so she made sure to research which Sirius channels were devoted to gospel music and set the radio on one of them. :D Wow. I feel I have a new friend. Actually, I feel that I have two new friends. The second is Elizabeth Warde, the Financial Services Manager. She is just such a breath of fresh air: enthusiasm, joy, positivity, kindness, and she really worked hard to give us the best deal. She was quick to respond to our needs and we felt like going to her office was going to a party. Best shopping experience ever.

Car ads tend to focus on the payment, going as far as weekly payments to make a car seem affordable. That's all smoke and mirrors to me. So I made a point of asking for the final, on the road price, assuming I'm paying cash. I got that price at other dealers, but not here, in spite of the direct question. I decided to buy a car here because it was the best car for the money, but learned during the financing phase that the price I was quoted was not really the final price. All the taxes and fees were added. So, beware. They quote a pre-tax+fee total price and a monthly payment that includes everything. That's their policy, so I've been told. On the plus side, the sales guy was good as far as selecting and driving a car. Some clarity on what the actual price is would have saved both of us a lot of grief. And prevented this poor review.

Sales to Service, Changing Story: BEFORE purchasing I asked if the navigation system was up to date for both latest database and features. Was told yes. When I picked it up, it was not, 2 versions out of date. Then told new version coming out in a month, they will call to come back. No call so I call to arrange update. Then told by service updates only come out every 2 years so no update available. I say the website AND Hyundai Canada says every 6 months and now 3rd new one!! Then told O'Regan's doesn't do updates before they are sold and I have to pay $250!! It there any honest Hyundai service in Metro?

This place is sketchy at best. Salesman had no idea what he was talking about, couldn’t answer any questions. He also kept trying to force us to upgrade to an SUV despite stating clearly, we don’t want one. Also tried to trick us into paying above MSRP by not actually including discounts he said he would include. The only reason I rated 2 stars instead of 1, is because the sales manager was extremely nice.

The mechanics do great work, but you can never get your car in... this is the third time my Hyundai is going elsewhere for regular maintenance (oil change, etc...) because the earliest I can get an appointment here is 14 days away. Terrible service.... call on Sept 3rd and told they are booking for Sept 17th, and for something as basic as an oil change.

If you are shopping for a new car you need to visit O'Regan's Hyundai in Dartmouth. We knew we wanted a medium size SUV and had shopped around all the dealerships in the city. We didn't know if we wanted new or used or a particular make and model. After speaking to a salesman at Hyundai we had our mind made up. By far they had the best warranty around. We purchased a 2020 Tuscan luxury edition. It has all the features of a high end SUV for a much better price. Don't buy an SUV without checking out Hyundai.

The saleslady we saw was friendly, yet as with ALL ORegans dealerships, they have to play games. Never see a sales manager. Always a phone call in front of you (seriously? absolutely ridiculous. Come talk to me.) Lowballed trade big time- and played games. "Oh, we will give you X for your trade, minus 500$ conditioning fee." "A conditioning fee?" "Yes, so that way if the car needs any work, that's covered in that fee." ARE YOU KIDDING ME. YOU TAKE A TRADE AS IS. Also charge you a 500$ fee to pay off a lien if you have money owing on your trade. Add another1400$ on top of all that in more dealership fees. Absolute joke ORegans- you sure know how to talk yourselves out of a sale.

Had my 2017 Hyundai elantra in for service and told them my bumper clips were missing on the left side rear bumper. They sent the car out with new breaks which I requested but the rear bumper remained the same. I called the lady in charge of the service and was pretty much told they didnt have time to go to the body shop for the missing clips. The lady talked over me the majority of the time and was a rude with her response. Now the right side on my rear bumper is flapping In the wind and they want me to take it back in after I was jest there. Waste of my time. Thanks guys poor customer service.

I was on my way to PEI last month and had something fall off the car on the highway just past Truro. I called and spoke with Amanda who reassured me it was ok and to turn around and head to the dealership in Truro...by the time I arrived Amanda had already called and explained everything to them, which I didn't know she was doing. I've had nothing but problems with this dealership, the majority since April 2018. To summarize, I got a tow truck to take my 2014 Santa Fe in as there was a problem. When the service dept called me to ask about the problem, I explained. The next phone call I got was that there was a huge problem, it was my fault and was going to cost about $12000. Apparently the staff at O'Regans like to make assumptions...telling me I've not had oil changes (they were done elsewhere). I consulted a mechanic who advised me what to ask for and when I did I was given a different story. As Tracy was refusing to do anything except blame me and ignore the other issue I had indicated (telling me that would be an additional $134 to look at the shifting problem), I said I wanted to speak to her supervisor. That was a waste of time and he actually had the nerve to tell me what I said Tracy told me didn't happen! Not sure how I could have come up with the car terminology she had used. When I pointed that out, he then told me that since it wasn't in writing (what she said), then it didn't happen. That essentially boils down to implying I'm lying. When I said I'd have to check my options and seek some legal advice, he clammed up and refused to give me any information. I asked to speak to his supervisor and that did not happen. Fast forward to me posting on their FB page, the less than customer service oriented Debbie responded with her contact info. I would suggest considering changing Debbie's title as she is far from a Customer Care Coordinator. As my earlier dealing with the service manager had made me realize not to do anything with this dealership over the phone since they then imply you're a liar, I emailed Debbie. I would gladly share the email response here if I could to show you the assumptions this woman made and used those to correct me, telling me everything I've said has happened is wrong! She also assured me I'm wrong in a comment I made about Toyota as she "was the Service Manager there for 7 years"! I guess that makes her all knowing. After her response, I did not reply as she is clearly more interested in proving a customer is wrong than discussing "how to make things right". Time for her to change her tag line. I had the vehicle towed somewhere else. The independent mechanic was able to identify several issues and one huge one which was a potentially catastrophic safety issue....yet O'Regans never even checked it as they were too busy blaming me. By the way O'Regan's, I'm lucky to have not been in an accident. That part is something the public should know about. Remember this is a 2014 vehicle...the problems with it should not be happening to a vehicle that is not yet 4 years old. I won't list them all out here as I'm not going to have more staff respond to tell me how wrong I am, nor am I done with this. Aside from the above, we had expressed displeasure over the less than transparent sales by Jeff and Ahmad. I had also expressed concern at a sale Jeff tried to do with us in the spring, however Debbie "assured" me that's not what happened. I guess my spouse getting up and walking out in disgust was imaginary. Long story short, steer clear of this dealership and ensure any conversations aren't in person or over the phone as they're too happy to point out, if it (conversation) wasn't in writing then you're lying. Great business practices. If I could give O'Regan's Hyundai a negative 5 stars I would.

I would like to post a long over due compliment to the salesman who originally sold me my car back in December 2017. I always meant to send in a positive review on my experience purchasing the Tuscon, but life has a way of getting in the way. When I bought the Tuscon I only had a few days to find myself a car. Unfortunately I had to write off my previous vehicle (Elantra) when it spun out on black ice so I didn't have time to spare. As soon as I had found out my car was going to be written off, I went on your website to start shopping around. I found a really great deal on a Tuscon and started an online chat with one of your salesmen, Jeff Black. To make a long story short, he explained to me that someone else had test drove the vehicle and he wasn't sure it would be available but would be sure to get me in one to test drive the next day. As it turned out, there was an issue with the previous customer's financing so I was able to test drive the exact vehicle I had been eyeing the previous night. A couple of days later, the Tuscon was mine. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the service Jeff provided and would definitely be contacting him when the time comes to buy another. Kevin in sales....... My daughter and I and her three children arrived at the dealership at 1230. She was in an accident and needed a new car, previously she had an Accent. Not sure if she wanted another she went in and looked around, she said she was just browsing. She test drove a Nissan Sentra, came back in and briefly talked to the salesman who sold her the Accent, he was busy. Another salesman talked to her but had to finish with his customer. She came in and out to check on her children. We left after I asked if anyone was trying to sell cars at 1415. Thanks for the effort.

My mothers Tucson with 90k was in for a rear main seal job. Shortly after the work was done the shift linkage let go. I was able to get it into neutral before it went completely, had to get it towed on a flatbed(shift linkage is taken apart during rear seal job). Had it brought to the dealership and went in to check with a salesperson as to where I could leave it until Monday. He asked what happened then asked me if I was sure I didn't put it in reverse while driving( its an automatic, not sure how that makes much sense). He then handed me his business card and told me to tell my mother to come in for a new vehicle(Tucson is only 4 years old at the time, nice backing of the product you sell...). I'm no salesman but don't be rude if your looking to sell anything. Upon having the Tucson looked at, it was diagnosed that the linkage had just let go. Another time, while in for service under warranty they let the battery drain and just boosted it. Less than a month later as it got colder out my mother found herself stuck with a vehicle that wouldn't start and couldn't get boosted. They never told my mother that they drained her battery when she picked it up. She didn't find out until she called after having it die on her. When my mother called in to inquire about why this might have happened the lady on the phone told her that on the service report it said the battery was drained Good thing my mother was only an hour outside the city and the stores where still open so I could bring her a new battery and install it. Would have been nice of them to own up to it from the start, would have saved her sitting in the cold for over an hour. These are Issues I was able to pick up on because I was there to help deal with them at the time. I have herd other bad stories, I am very disappointed in the service. I have never personally bought or had a vehicle serviced here and after these experiences I never will.

I bought a new Elantra on July 24th. I was told that my old car loan would be paid off, and any money I paid over that would be put back into my account. 2 weeks later now, and my old car payment, plus my new car payment both came out, which leaves me short on my mortgage, and broke . I called the old lender, and they had only just been paid off last night. Oreagans held onto that paperwork, for some reason. Also, I had told the finance lady that I didn't need their extra insurance. I have all kinds through my work. But she told me to sign the papers anyway, saying their coverage was better, and never once mentioned a price, as those papers quickly flew by my face. I know it's my fault for not stopping her, so I could read all the details. I asked her that same day to cancel, once I realized she got me to sign for $6000 worth of insurance I didn't need. I was told that they work on a "22 day calendar" , so she couldn't cancel until the following week. It's still not cancelled as of today. I feel that they have been sneaky and dishonest. They just want their commission, and rely on you to be so excited for your new car, that you just sign all the papers and don't question anything. I am left with a very bad taste in my mouth after this experience. My next new car will be from anywhere else.

I purchased my car there a few years ago and dispite the horrible service I received buying my car I decided to take it back there to get serviced. Very Rude Sales rep. We gave him a monthly payment that we believe we can afford and didn't bother to help at all and told us too low. I went to Steele Hyundai in Halifax and told them I am on a budget. The manager on other dealership went on great lengths just to accommodate my financial situation. As for Oregans Hyundai, we didn't get offered any car selection at all and the sales rep left. It was super funny how he rushed away from us.

I took my car in for scheduled maintance service, I bought my Hyundai Santa Fe 2014 car brand new from Oregan, anyways they told me that my next service is a big service scheduled for 50k mileage. The service fee was $345 including taxes , I agreed and signed. In return to pick up my car, I can not tell if oil change was done or not, the oil change sticker was not replaced with a new one, the service reminder dash screen was not resist. It was still showing, service required. I called them the next day because when I picked up my car, they have already closed. So I asked them was oil change done, they said yes but there was no sticker to indicate that such service was performed. So Tracy and Amanda said”all you need is just to stop by and we will place a sticker on the wind shield, no apology, mean while, my steering has been making clicking sound since 2016, and they told me is nothing, Because doubt I had with my recent service, I took my car to another Hyundai service center(steel) and they found out that it was steering shaft and has to be fixed. I got upset because I was supposed to return back for front brakes to be changed, I cancelled my appointment and completed my brake installation at steel Hyundai service. I’m warning people, do not purchase car from them. Their car servicing department is very bad and lack knowledge. Just to let you know, I was oregan loyal customer, this was my 3rd car purchase from them but is going to be the last one. Save your self trouble and purchase from steel or somewhere else, they are very dishonest both in sales and their servicing department. It took me going into another car dealership to find out what was wrong with clicking noise coming from my steering. Mean while, she said the steering was checked and that was even indicated on the work paper they gave me. Honesty is very essential in moving a company forward. I’m extremely disappointed. So I went back to Oregan seevice again to tell them, please the steering shaft has to be checked. So one of their technician eventually agreed that steering shaft needed changing. If you are a woman they will blush your car issue complaint off and told is nothing. Please be warned!!! Do not purchase car from this Hyundai dearlership. Their servicing department customer service is very bad. If I can give zero star, I would have done that. They don’t deserve any star.

This was the first dealership that I visited when I was searching for a new Venue. The sales associate was very helpful and ensured that I had all the information I requested. We took a Venue for a test drive and liked how the vehicle preformed. In short I visited 3 other dealerships but the price varied as much as $4500 on the deal. I returned 3 days later and purchased our 2021 Venue, we were very pleased at how everyone treated us and they were very professional. I had a great experience overall and would recommend this location. + This location was able to give me the best price out of around 8-10 other dealerships I spoke with, including for my trade in vehicle. + Peter (sales) and Stephen (Manager) were both very honest throughout the deal, and also respected my time. This was quite refreshing compared to some of the other locations I worked with. One of my family members had a similar positive experience with Stephen. + Elizabeth (finance) was very patient and explained the various paperwork effectively. There was some pressure to consider extended warranty and such, but this was not as bad as expected and was still done politely. + The vehicle I received was in excellent condition with close to 0 mileage. My (very high) standards were met in that the vehicle I received was in excellent condition. + Peter spent a long time explaining/demonstrating the features of the vehicle, even though the dealership was clearly very busy that day and the deal was already completed. I appreciated this as this was my first hybrid vehicle. * The wait time for the vehicle was long, but this was due to global supply chain challenges, and every other dealership I worked with had similar wait times so I do not believe it was unique this location. The dealership threw in a bonus to make the wait more tolerable. This is more of a general point for anyone looking to buy a new car during Covid times to consider.
