(UPDATE) , Let me tell you these guys are great at lying straight to your face and making you believe them. I was promised a set of winter tires which was never given, Asked repeatedly was given one song and dance after another until finally I get a call from his manager Brian who told be (If Jason told you their were tires here for you he lied there never was) That's how O'Regans Green Light gets down folks. Save yourself the trouble and go else where, For me it's the principal, If you could lie so quick and easily straight to my face your a talented scumbag.

So, I went in to get my car appraised. I spoke with Troy who (reluctantly) appraised my car while continuing with an ignorant and demeaning narrative towards me. I ignored it and waited for him to finish. Upon finishing, he wrote the value on my appraisal sheet then scratched it out and said "this should work if not, come see me and I'll re-do it." This didn't sit well with me but I agreed and paid my $50 and continued on. This morning, I go to the DMV to get my car registered, wait in line just to be told that they will not accept the altered pricing on the appraisal sheet. They let me know that the dealership knows better then to alter the pricing. So I drive back to O'Regans to get Troy to fix his mistake. Once there, Troy tells me that I have to drive back to the DMV to wait for a new sheet because they don't have any (which is a lie as I was told directly from the DMV that dealerships have access to the appraisal sheet and can print them off). I was then told by a grey headed older gentleman in a very demeaning tone that "Why didn't you pay the taxes". I then explained that if they are unwilling to provide me with a usable appraisal sheet, then I would like my $50 back and take my business elsewhere. I was told firmly "No" and then told to leave. The amount of disrespect from Troy and the older gentlemen is unacceptable; how he is still employed is beyond me. Please AVOID this dealership unless you want to be belittled and disrespected the whole time. Disrespect, ignorance and incompetence is a choice that Troy made without any hesitation. Pathetic.

Purchased my first vehicle from O'Regans on June 14th of this year. A friend recommended to me Sam (one of the sales reps). I communicated with Sam a couple of times through email and then we set up a time to meet. It's worth mentioning that because of work, I couldn't give him an exact time, but when I showed up; he was waiting. The process to purchase a van for the family went extremely smooth. Sam in partnership with Peter the finance manager worked with me to get what I wanted. I asked for something from them at a point in the process where I thought it would be too late and got a yes. I was surprised and pleased. Once I drove away with the van, Sam followed up with me more than once to make sure things were fine. I had an appointment over a week later to have something done with the van that was in relation to the yes I mentioned earlier. A minor issue was discovered. Warranty was giving me a no they wouldn't fix it. I was sure I would have to pay for the issue. The day this happened I had a busy day at work so ended up playing voicemail tag with Sam over the unexpected issue. Anyhow, long story short. Sam and O'Regans stepped up in a way I was never expecting. To say I was impressed is an understatement. I have Sam's contact info. If you're looking for a vehicle let me know or reach out to Green light and ask for Sam. I'll only buy from O'Regans now. Super impressed, Sam is a top notch guy.

Fantastic service! We had to buy a car rather unexpectedly before Christmas and we went to O’Regan’s Green Light where we met Majed Askari. Although Majed has been with the company for 3 months, he was VERY knowledgeable about the range of vehicles he had shown us. He completely understood what we were looking for and provided pros/cons of each vehicle in a neutral manner (not pushy). Majed made the whole experience very pleasant. Once we decided on a car, Majed put us in the hands of Peter Fraser who crunched the numbers and made our selection a manageable cost for our unexpected need. I came to these guys looking for a way out of my previous vehicle, which was a truck. They got me into a newer car the same day, which is why they earned the two stars I gave them. The issues started when A) I got home and looked under the hood and realized there was a miniscule amount of coolant in the car (sure, I probably should have checked at the dealership, but like a crazy person I thought a dealership would have morals). B) I thought I saw the car smoking from the hood, when I took it back, they basically shrugged me off and told me to talk to the dealership in Halifax. Basically tried to wipe their hands clean of it. C) I noticed the sticker on the car wasn't for the two years, which, I am to understand was because I took the car that day, again, no problem. However, I got a crack in my windshield just prior to noticing the error (I was inspecting the crack and noticed the incorrect date). And so, I emailed the dealership and they said they couldn't put a new sticker on until I got the windshield fixed.. My question is why couldn't they just back date it a month when I got the car, afterall, the windshield wasn't cracked then? D) I requested the maintenance history on the car not once, but twice. And they still won't respond. Not the ethics of a good dealership. Update: Literally 12 hours after posting this I got an email with the information I requested. I'm not sure if I'm glad I got it, or if I'm concerned that it takes a public comment for them to feel any responsibility. I'll let you decide, my rating stays a 2.

We bought a Juke and was told we would get winter tires they had out back; we did not. That was pre-sale luring. Also our Juke broke down 9 months in, the warranty covered the $1K+ repairs but we were without a rental during the ordering of the part/repairs. They said there were no rentals available but they should have provided a vehicle somehow. And after all of the waiting and work the issue was not fixed. Car looses power on the highway...not safe! Please fix

One of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had with used car dealerships in my entire life (I could have given -5 stars if there was an option). My girlfriend purchased a car at this location in August 2017. She was promised that car registration would be transferred from O'Regan's to her name by O'Regan's employees, and that all paperwork (including ownership papers) will be delivered to her personally within a couple of weeks of the car purchase date. However, due to unknown circumstances (and probably due to the lack of competence among the employees responsible for the paperwork), nothing has been done within the next couple of months. No one informed us that the purchased car was still registered with O'Regan's until the end of October 2017. The company kept on postponing delivery of ownership papers without providing any justifiable reasons. Then, in the middle of November 2017, after dropping off my girlfriend at work, I was pulled over and given a ticket for operating unregistered vehicle. From the Officer's words: "The car was not registered to anyone". I had to come over to the Dartmouth Office location and pick up necessary documents and proceed to Access Nova Scotia to finalize the transfer of ownership (which was supposed to be done by O'Regan's employees within the first couple of weeks after the car purchase). Having done that, I had to go to the court and book an appointment for the trial to plead not guilty. The trial was scheduled for June 2018. In the meantime, I tried persuading O'Regan's to provide me with an official letter stating that O'Regan's is taking responsibility for failing to provide registration papers within the reasonable timeframe. I took me approximately 3 months of constant enquiries and reminders (I basically had to hunt the Manager down and be physically present right next to the person while the letter was composed, written and signed) for O'Regan's to provide me with the letter. When the trail date came, I asked O'Regan's to provide me a representative of the Company to accompany me in the court, however, that couldn't be accomplished either. In the end, the ticket was dismissed since the officer who wrote the ticket was not present at the trial (however, if the latter wasn't the case, there was a possibility of scheduling another court date if the letter provided by O'Regan's wasn't sufficient enough). Having said that, this whole unpleasant situation dragged itself for almost 8 months and neither would I recommend dealing with O'Regan's Green Light nor would I ever consider purchasing a vehicle there.

I find buying a car a stressful experience. When we first arrived at Green Light in Dartmouth I spoke to the manager Troy to make sure he directed us to a great salesman that was not too aggressive and a good listener. Troy was great and recommended Kyle Dearn. Kyle was a great salesman - professional, efficient and really tried his very best to meet our needs but never pushy and didn't stop listening to our needs right up to the last minute. Even when we were ready to finalise the deal and he heard that I really had wanted leather interior he arranged to have leather added to the used car making it perfect! I also really appreciated the professionalism and going the extra mile attitude of Cody in their finance department. Choosing to trade in my old 2007 Chevy Malibu was probably the hardest thing I ever did. I scoured the internet for weeks looking for something I was willing to trade in for. I wanted to stay within the O'Regans dealer family because I'd only ever dealt with them before when it came to repairs and service on my vehicle and I'd always been blown away by the level of friendliness and service given to me at each visit. Upon finding a car I was excited to schedule a test drive for, O'Regans got back to me within the hour after my initial interest to schedule the appointment. The gentleman I spoke with was very friendly and ensured I received the email reminder after I'd finished my phone call with him. Fast forward to the dealership visit itself: the salesman I dealt with (Peter Julian) was extremely no-pressure and even ensured that the vehicle I wanted to test drive was parked outside and ready to go before I got there. When it came time to talk financing options, they gave me a few numbers to give me a general overview of what payments would look like, and then asked where it was that I wanted to be in terms of payments so that they could try to make something work to the best of my advantage. When I sat down with Cody Hebb for financing finalization, he was even able to give me work warranty options into my payments that gave me wide coverage with little change to my initial payments. It definitely felt like everyone was working for MY benefit, and I definitely cannot appreciate that enough. Unfortunately, 2 weeks after I'd purchased the car, I realized that it wasn't the car I thought I'd wanted. I phoned up the dealership, and the Sales Manager (Anthony) was adamant that even though I was beyond the 7-day trade back clause, they wanted to ensure that I found the right car and to bring back the one I was driving to see about some sort of trade in. I gave them a list of vehicles I was interested in seeing off of their website. Some weren't even on their lot, but located in Halifax. That same day, they ensured that the vehicles from other lots were parked and waiting for me. Same friendly service and no-pressure sales; they worked again to give me the best possible deal under the circumstances, and even let me take a car I was extremely interested in for the weekend to give it a test drive before coming back to them with a final verdict. I ended up purchasing that car, and haven't looked back since. Coming from the West, my dealer experiences have always been sales-oriented and extremely pressurized, especially since I'm a single female. I'm very aware of the anatomy of vehicles; I used to perform my own servicing before I moved to Halifax. It was extremely refreshing and relaxing to walk into a dealer and be treated the way that I was. Never once did I feel stressed, and the entire process was pain-free. The dealership itself had a very wide selection of vehicles, especially considering the fact that some types of used vehicles aren't traded in as much as others. I would recommend this dealer to anyone interested in a second-hand vehicle not wanting to go through the pain of a brand-specific dealer, and they will definitely be the first dealer I go back to should I still be in Halifax and interested in another vehicle purchase.

Not very happy with the service, I have a Chev Equinox had it for about two years took to O'Regans bout 5mths ago , I was talking with Cody I wanted to down grade to a car , was told by Cody he couldn't do anything for me at the time told me to come back in 6 mths, now we are at 6mths so I called Cody to see when he could he Tex me back & said he was busy to Tex him back the next day, so I did & no returned call so I went to O'Regans was talking to a girl & she had a Chev Cruz waiting for me to test drive I was really happy about that , so I took it in a test drive went back to talk numbers & we came up with one & she said congratution you got the car, so you can see why I was so happy , went back to talk to peter he went over my stuff & said I may not get the car now, just after the girl told me I did, so Peter said he will try to see what he can do, being that it was Canada weekend I told him ok, now today is Tues July 4 & he did call me back but told me he couldn't do anything that I may have to keep the chev Equinox for another 6mths, all they do is give you the run around

Awesome selection, great service Our intent entering the dealership was to get an idea of what type of vehicles would be available for our requirements within our price range. We wanted a second vehicle for commuting to/from work with reliability and safety being the number one concern for our families new driver to take on the road. We ended up purchasing a vehicle that day because Mark took the time to show us the many options that were available. We had not anticipated making a purchase, and we certainly did not feel pressured into buying a vehicle now. The car we purchased just happened to be the right one for our needs and was within the right price. Cody was very helpful with the financial side of things. The best way to describe my experience at Green Light is absolutely great. For us, our family and I felt respected throughout the entire process of purchasing the vehicle that met our needs.

If I could give O'Regans 1,000 stars, it still wouldn't be enough! I bought my very first car from them a few weeks ago. Courtney, the associate who helped me pick out my car, was INCREDIBLE! Went there on Saturday. Was willing to buy and pay cash. Basically was told in many ways that all prices were based on financing. No discounts or haggling if you are paying cash. They just kept on pressuing me to finance- even if just for 30 days they said. Ignoring my concerns that the cost of financing, the lien reg fees and other fees would negate the savings. I found the same vehicle elsewhere for cheaper- I called to tell them. They gave me a small discount, arrogantly discounted the price of the other dealership and again repeatedly pressured me to finance the car purchas. The manager even called me back to put additional pressure on me, saying I 'clearly didn't understand' and there must have been a 'miscommunication', telling me the other dealership wouldn't honour the advertised price anyhow because I wasn't financing. I wish I could have recorded how arrogant his tone of voice was. And of course, he said again that I would get another $500 off if I financed. After I have already said repeatedly that I am not financing. I tried to log a complaint with the corporate office but the EA to the CEO was only willing to justify and didn't want to take the complaint. Clearly this company does not want my business and treats people badly if you pay cash. Ridiculous. And discrimination. This was after being lied to about two different cars and two other OReagan Kia dealerships that I was interested in test driving and buying was sold when they weren't. I didn't clue in till now that the reason I was being told cars were sold when they weren't was that they didn't want my business because I was paying cash. Even if the other dealership falls through or does the same, I won't buy from OReagan's now.

Bought a second-hand Jetta from there in 2015 and tricked by Cody the finance guy who imposed the Optional insurance ($1299) and several other fees on the deal. At the time, I naively thought they are trying to help out and get me the car quickly. But actually, they want you to sign all the documents quickly without looking at them properly. I realized that and those extra fees afterwards and went back multiple times. He and others kept avoiding me and making excuses. The guy Cody promised will cancel the insurance but that was a liar as well. Look back now still feel so stupid.

This is my 3rd lease at Oregans. My most recent vehicle is a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan. It was the vehicle we wanted right from the start, but unfortunately they were not available until a few weeks ago. I only started my last lease in February, so it was only 5 months since we started a lease on another vehicle. When I saw that the new Tiguan arrived, I immediately called Codey and Courtney. Codey immediately began to try to figure something out for me. Meanwhile, Courtney in sales kept in direct contact with me, and offered to hold the Tiguan for me for $0 down, until a decision was made. In a few days, Codey called to tell me that he was able to make it work. Within a few hours, I was in my dream vehicle. The vehicle is practically brand new, with only 12,000 Kms. The vehicle already had a recall, and within a few minutes, they put me into a loaner car. A year ago, before I had an suv, this dealership loaned me a vehicle for FREE to let me pick up a picture that I thought would fit in my car but wouldn’t. They have always gone far and beyond to make sure I’m happy. I highly recommend Codey in the finance department, and Courtney in Sales. Together, they make a stellar team!! Good job guys!! You two are amazing! I’ll see you two again in 7 years for my Volkswagen Atlas ????
