Renting Nigel's FJ09 to explore Nova Scotia and PEI was a great experience - I enjoyed talking with him, the bike was flawless and the roads nearly empty. Nigel made it easy with pickup and drop off at the bus terminal, route recommendations, and complimentary riding gear. I hope he expands his operation next year!

My buddy visited me here from Southern Ontario so we could ride the Cabot Trail, which has always been a bucket list item for us. Brookspeed made it possible with their selection of bikes that are perfectly suited to the area and equipped for the task. Nigel and Robin were perfectly friendly and accommodating, giving us great location and route tips. They had all the gear my buddy needed having flown in with little luggage... It was all clean and fresh too. If you're thinking about a bike trip in the Maritimes, I highly recommend you book a rental with them, we had a great experience. It was like borrowing a motorcycle from a friend! You'll certainly see us again.

Had an amazing experience renting from Brookspeed. Nigel was a pro to deal with start to finish. Never an issue. He had gear we need to compliment our own stuff, bike was near new and had a ton of storage. You won't find a better place to rent from period. Very happy to recommend Brookspeed!

This was the only motorcycle rental I could find on the island and they were very professional, the owner really knows his motorcycles and takes care of them all. It's a little bit far to get to and not as close to some of the sites I would have liked to have seen but we had a great ride on some great roads so he was great with suggestions

I was heading to Ottawa but got stuck in Truro with a leaking gas tank. I called Neigel to rent a motorcycle while waiting to get my bike repair. He offered to have a look and see if he could be something to help get back on the road. Next morning at his shop, withing 1.5 hr the leaking gasket fix it. Couldn't believe how customer service oriented this guy was. I felt safe and in good hands. From one biker to an other, please go encourage him. Word of mouth goes a long way. Neigel, a big thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Very happy with the whole experience, Nigel is a PRO, he knows all you could imagine about bikes, super friendly, the motorcycle included all bags, inner waterproof cases for the side ones, plus there is an option for helmets and even rain suits. I most definitely had a blast on their FJ 09, a snappy and very agile bike. Highly recommended; they pick you up from town and bring you over to where the bikes are, they take all the time needed to set you up properly, and in general the whole process, at least for me, was quite smooth and stress free. Thank you so much Nigel I know the review was long due!!

We rented a Honda NC750 for a two-up, four day tour. The bike was clean, well maintained and had good rubber, and it ran 100% reliably for the entire trip. Nigel was friendly and knowledgeable, and obviously a moto enthusiast who made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended if you're planning a two-wheel adventure in Nova Scotia.

My wife and I had the most wonderful East Coast experience in July of 2018 which included a motorcycle circumnavigation of the Cabot Trail facilitated by the amazing and wonderfully accommodating Brookespeed Motorcycle Rentals. Nigel and Robin are all class and charm. Both work extra hard to assist you in your rental experience. They offer drop off and pick up (which was invaluable to us), gear (which we did not need) and pristine motorcycles. We rented the FJ-09 which turned out to be a more comfortable perch for long riding than my beloved ST1300. If you can not bring your own ride to the east coast you MUST rent from Brookespeed--you will find no better service or pricing anywhere. Just be sure to ask to see his personal collection of bikes--he is a moto geek just like you!!!

One of a kind rental place and fantastic value. Nigel was very polite and understanding. Despite the fact he gave out a lot of the gear to other renters, he still had plenty enough for me. Speaking of which, gear was included in the rental. He also gave me some local travel advice. I had a blast carving Cabot trail on the Versys 650. Highly recommended!

An excellent rental experience - much beyond simply renting a bike. Nigel picked us up in the morning to bring us to his location. All gear is included in the rental (helmets, jackets, boots gloves!). He didn't have the right boot size for my girlfriend... So we went out with him and he bought new boots!! Bikes were new and in fantastic shape - no other place would be worth renting from! Thanks Nigel!

Nigel was an amazing bike rental guy! Picked me up from my bed and breakfast, let me leave all my bags at his place. The bike I rented was a versys and it was newer so there were no problems as I had it for four days. It managed my big 60 litre back pack and it came with two side saddle bags (he had an option for a third cargo box at the top but I needed room to strap on my bag). He also gave me some scenic routes that I could take which was very nice. When I returned the bike, he dropped me off at the Truro bus station. No hassles, he was just a guy who helped me out big time on my adventure!

Some friends and I rented bikes from Brookspeed for a four day trip around the Cabot Trail and surrounding area. Everything from start to finish was amazing - the booking was very easy to handle, Nigel picked us up from our hotel in town, the shop, bikes and gear were all immaculate and in pristine shape, and Nigel was excellent to deal with. It was clear from the moment we started talking to him that he loves bikes, knows everything there is to know about them, and would never send anyone out on a bike that wasn’t maintained to the highest standard. We will absolutely be back to rent from Brookspeed again to try out some of the other routes Nigel recommended!

I feel very fortunate to have stumbled across this place when I was in need of some repairs to my bike. The owner deftly fabricated a custom o-ring as I watched, and moments later I was back on the road. He is clearly very competent at working on bikes, and his numerous racing trophies speak to his expertise riding them as well! I would highly recommend going to this place if you’re looking to rent a bike in Nova Scotia. I’m confident that no other shop will provide the knowledgeability and warm service that you’d find here.

Brookspeed Motorcycle Rentals has a great variety of exceptionally maintained motorcycles. Nigel has been maintaining and repairing motorcycles from a very young age, and keeps his fleet of rental motorcycles in optimal condition. Our rental period took us into the beginning hours of Hurricane Dorian, and we had full confidence in our bikes throughout. The Yamaha FJ09 is a great bike! Thank-you Nigel and Robin!

I flew into Halifax for a week long course and rented the FJ-9 to do the daily commute instead of a car. Boy was I stoked I did. Each day was beautiful riding through some amazing roads and even on the 2 days of wet weather there was still a huge smile on my face! If you haven't ridden or been to Nova Scotia, I highly recommend it! Nigel was awesome! A true bike nut that loves everything bikes and knows a ton about almost every bike and wants everyone riding his bikes to have the best experiences they can. A true gem. The course renews in 3 years, I think I might be back before then to have some time to go deep into the highlands and beyond. If it's any better than the commuting trails and slight off shoots I did (I hear it is) then yeah, I'll be back pretty soon.

Nigel is an incredibly knowledgeable motorcycle enthusiast and a wonderful guy! I was having issues with my bike and put up a post on a few Facebook pages, he responded and he came and towed me to his house. He quickly fixed my carburetor and systematically went through my bike to diagnose an electrical issue a dozen other mechanics couldn’t find. While I was there I got see his rental bikes, personal and everything is clean enough to eat off of. I would trust anything this man told me about motorcycles and he is a solid like able trustworthy person!
