We went there for reservation during work hours the door was locked the lady that works there was on the car using the phone outside of the office ,she was looking at us trying to get in, she didn't do anything I tried another door on the front of the building which has the address numbers on it then she came out of the car and start yelling and saying why we're using that door which is for the employees. It's just something I don't think it represents a good company like Hertz

August 6th 2021 -Location does not answer their phones. Tried calling several times after leaving with rental car because and car was making a strange noise. We never did get a hold of anyone and finally just made a report with the Toll Free corporate number. When we rented, Hertz put a $200. hold on my Credit Card as a deposit. I returned the car 5 days ago and still no returned deposit. I called my Credit card company and was told that Hertz took $200.00 as a Purchase not a hold. Amherst, NY location still will not answer their phones. Unbelievable

Nothing to complain about really. Not great but good enough. Reasonably convenient location, service was ok. Pricing was reasonable-ish but nothing worthy of any particular effort to go there. It's the kind of place you pick if you happen to be in the area already and you aren't feeling especially picky.

It is a nice company to rent a car at affordable rates. You can choose the type of car you want ranging from the smallest to the luxurious. The have car of all sizes and types. If you want the cars of most variety you can pick up from the airport because they have the greatest collection amongst all the Hertz centers. They also provide with additional gears and features as GPS, insurance, pre purchase fuel option.baby seat, etc.

Almost 2 hours to get the car we had reserved. Probably hard to believe but they didn't have any cars because of the holidays and they couldn't find drivers to bring cars from other locations. They ended up driving us to another location 15 minutes away to get the car. To make matters worse, the other location only had small cars... Not what I had reserved!!! It may be because of the holidays but definitely not a good experience by any means.

Was charged late returns fees for days after I returned the car. No one is ever there. Really mad that I returned the car here to avoid returning at the airport.

We reserved a car that would do 20-25 mpg a couple weeks before pickup. Day of pickup, we’re given a car that does max 15 mpg. Needless to say, money for gas really added up on our 5000 mile trip!

Waiting at 8:15am for Hertz to open at the Amherst Buffalo location, when they’re supposed to open at 8. I will never book a nonrefundable booking here ever again. What a waste of my time. Book somewhere else.

The representative at Sheridan drive was extremely rude and abrupt. She didn't let us ask even the most basic questions like how much for an additional driver and the liability charges. She didnt want to answer any of these questions and snapped at every question. She seemed to be in a hurry for some reason and pushed us to sign the agreement for no apparent reason for hurry. We visited this location for picking up the car ata round 3/3:30 on Friday, aug 28, 2020. For an additional driver to be added we went to the Buffalo airport location. The representative there named, David was very kind and a direct opposite to our afternoon experience. He was very patient and answered all our questions with clarity. Would highly recommend him.

I feel so cheated. An extra charge of $70 was added to my bill for key/services. While returning, we parked the car as instructed by the employee at the Sheridan Drive location in Buffalo. There was no one in the office for over 10 minutes during the office hours and we had to search the employee who was washing a car. He asked us to park the car on the front side although there was no space and leave the keys on the desk or in the car. We parked the car and came to tell him that the keys were left in the car for which he nodded. Now I see the extra charge on my receipt. I called the location to check and the same employee said he never asked us to leave the keys inside the car. He refused to reverse the charges. I have been a customer with Hertz for a long time and had never had such negative experience.

Customer had an appointment Friday, confirmed on Thursday, had to call multiple times, they left my customer stranded and blew me off completely. This place is a joke, just use Enterprise from now on, much less hassle. Totally ridiculous customer service.

Very nice place for a rental took a $200 deposit just in case for incidentals but all in all very cheap to rent a car vs airport and other locations got the fuel up when i get back sirius xm thrown in and basic insurance for 3 days for only like $126 total very reasonable and the manager at this location is the regional manager

The staff at this location are always so friendly. I've never had to wait more than 5-10 min to pick up my rental. The cars I've rented have always been clean.

Do you even clean cars before the next customer rents a car? My husband picked up a car Tuesday evening and it smells like straight weed. He has drove with the windows down and everything and the weed smell will not go away. He does not smoke anything so this is very unpleasant for him. It definitely should not have been rented to a paying customer smelling like that. We also rented through Priceline and made his reservation pick up for 5 pm. The store closes at 5. That should have been noted in our reservation confirmation email and reservations probably should not be allowed to be made for 5pm. If we hadn't been there a few minutes earlier than 5 he would not have been able to get his rental and would have been out of luck to go on his business trip early the next morning. (Reason as to why he couldn't bring the awful smelling car back to exchange: business closed immediately and he had to leave early in the morning for his trip before they opened the next morning). Would definitely not rent from here again.

There is just one person in this office so sometimes you need to wait but overall very good customer service. Most of the times you will get a free upgrade to a better car. If they were not able to pick up and/or drop you off you can get reimbursed for up to $10 for each of them.

Car was not ready at location on arrival. I scheduled the pickup for 8am. Car did not show up until 8:30am. The car was not cleaned, had to come back later. Car also had issues with seatbelt sensor and carpet coming up in passenger side. Would highly recommend looking elsewhere

Paid 80 for deposit. Been 3 weeks haven’t got it back .2nd week they took 42.15 out of my account. Week 3 took another 14.83 called guy said it was a glitch in the system will get it back in 10 days haven’t the 42.15 calling back today to see why they took 14.83 an where my 80 is just ridiculous never again
