He also got in house mechanic who does phenomenon job if there is any issue with the car. Steve handled financing paper work process pretty neat and quick. I totally recommend this place.

Typically, shopping for a car means you will be exposed to some level of deceit and aggressiveness. Shopping for a car at CarSmart is a very different experience. Steve's welcoming and friendly demeanour is matched by what I saw as an honest and straightforward approach to the sale. Steve was quick to point out the only (minor) damage on the vehicle and my independent mechanic confirmed the great condition of the car. Come to think of it, it looked like all the cars on his lot were in excellent condition. Coming from Toronto to Niagara Falls to purchase our car was well worth it. I strongly recommend car shoppers give Steve and CarSmart a try.

Honest and knowledgeable. My wife and I recently bought an Infiniti QX56 from Carsmart. We live in New York State and had been searching for this year/model/features. This one just happened to be the nearest to us. Steve really knew the features and specs of this car inside and out. He had the documents needed for importing the vehicle to the US within a couple of days. We spent about 20 minutes at customs. Registering at the DMV was simple. Converting the odometer/speedometer at a nearby specialty shop took an hour ($250 USD) The entire process was painless and we probably saved a couple thousand dollars because of the exchange rate. I would definitely recommend purchasing a car with Steve and if you're located in the US, don't let the importation process scare you off. It was a breeze.

Recently purchased a vehicle from CarSmart. Coming in from the GTA, the majority of the communication that I had with Steve came via email and phone and he made this car buying process very smooth due to his wonderful knowledge and polite demeanour. I was extremely impressed with the near 25 minute walkthrough video that he provided on the vehicle as this is not typically provided with most dealerships. When it was time to pick up the vehicle, Steve had all of the paperwork prepared and ready to go so that I was in and out of the dealership within an hour. The car has been wonderful so far and I cannot recommend Steve and CarSmart enough.

My wife and I had been searching for a used vehicle for some time. Scouring auto websites across the country daily, we came across a posting of a vehicle for sale at CarSmart Niagara. Despite living on Vancouver Island, the idea of travelling across the country for a vehicle was not a concern, however, knowing that whatever we vehicle we purchased was true to it's claim by the seller was. The BMW 328i xDrive Touring Wagon we purchased from Steve at CarSmart totally surpassed our expectations. Yes, the detailed YouTube video produced by Steve was invaluable in terms of itemizing everything about the vehicle and the photo postings with vehicle feature captions were equally as important, but what instilled our confidence was the professionalism demonstrated by Steve from our many phone conversations. Certainly, attributes hard to find these days. The purchase process was painless and Steve was very prompt in organizing the In-transit permit for my trip back to BC as well as all other documentation. From picking me up at the bus depot in Niagara to taking the time to walk through the vehicle, Steve was great. My parting gift was a headphone jack to headphone jack cord I required to listen to my cached Radio Paradise playlists I had loaded up on my iPhone for the long, but exciting drive back to BC. I recently purchased my first car from Steve. He was very accommodating since I don't live in Niagara falls and saved me a trip or two. I was looking at other dealerships but did not receive the same professionalism as Steve. Other Salesmen i dealt with would not give me much information until I made the trip to the dealership. I bought a car in the spring from Carsmart. I was told only the bumper of the car was painted, turns out the entire car has been repainted for some reason. The engine has been burning excessive oil ever since I bought the car, luckily it is under warrenty still so I am working with the dealer about that. Also, the winter tires that came with the car are actually for a different car so they are useless. Perhaps Carsmart didn't know about all these issues, but it seems like they should have conducted a detailed inspection before the sale.

My wife and I felt compelled to write this review to express our sincere appreciation for the excellent experience in dealing with CarSmart and Steve MacGregor. We were fortunate enough that the car we had been searching for found its way at CarSmart and only having the experience of purchasing vehicles from new car dealers, we were not certain on what to expect from CarSmart. Furthermore, being from out of town, we were at a disadvantage of not being able to ‘drop’ in and check out the facility, nor the car! That said, all was put to rest with our initial contact with Steve. He was honest and forthcoming about the vehicle and was also accommodating to ensure any of our concerns were addressed. After making our decision to purchase, Steve ensured all the necessary paperwork was prepared beforehand. When we arrived, after a 6 hr journey, our ‘beast’ was neatly tucked away in his garage awaiting its new owners. We were offered a test drive which was a very nice gesture and the car turned out to be everything that Steve had described it to be. Altogether, we had a great experience and the vehicle pick up was fun and stress-free. We would sincerely recommend CarSmart to any prospective car buyer because of Steve's personable approach and excellent customer service!

I just bought a 2016 Audi Q3 from Car Smart, with great mileage at 36000 km. Steve was great to deal with from the get go. I took a quick look at all the cars on his lot, and they all appeared to be good quality and in good condition. Steve is very knowledgeable about the cars he sells. I loved the video he made depicting all of the car’s features, and he happily gave me a copy of this at the time of purchase. He let me take the car for as long of a test drive as I wanted. He patiently answered any and all questions I had prior to and at the time of sale. I did have the car inspected at the Audi dealership (a third party inspection is something I would highly recommend anyone have done with a used car) and there were a couple of issues. The sway bar had to be replaced under warranty. The rear brakes were also quite corroded, and Steve had these replaced by his own mechanic. I felt the car was fairly priced, especially given that it also came with snow tires, and had such low mileage. Was a way better deal than the used cars I looked at at the Audi dealership. I would definitely buy a car from Car Smart again. I didn’t feel pressured, and I felt I was treated fairly, with courtesy and respect. Thanks Steve, for making the process smooth and easy!

This is an update 5 months after I purchased the car. Removed another star. What seemed to be a good experience turned out not so good unfortunately. I found out he hard way how tricky it may be to buy a used car. Ask about problems - then have it inspected - then have it fixed - THEN HAVE IT INSPECTED AGAIN ●after Steve fixed it● for you. My review went down from 4 to 3 star. Below are the details of my experience. Better prices vs. Toronto's dealers. The 7-year old car I bought was visually in great shape, almost like new from the outside - the phrase hand-picked comes to mind. I asked Steve if the car needed anything, Steve said - it needs nothing as it was checked by his mechanic and all that needed done had been done. However, I asked Steve to take it to another mechanic - he suggested one - (I am from Toronto and didnt know local guys) close by - I paid $230 for that inspection: play in the wheels apparently due to both ball joints being gone, one front coil spring broken at the end. The car would not pazs inspection - this is very different from "car needs nothing" thus 4 stars at that point. Message here - check the car before buying. I asked for a discount equal to the repair cost - Steve said that he would only do it for me in-house, only via his own, in-house mechanic and not give me discount to go elsewhere to relace these parts. At that point, I asked for spark plugs and airfilters to be replaced at CarSmart's expense to overcome the unpleasant surprise that I got - Steve did it. I paid $600 for the second coil spring replacement for symmetry, then more for coolant flush and new wipers. I bought the car. Felt happy at that time. 5 months and 8k km later - I have spent $7k plus on car "maintenance", including $3k+ on 2 sets of new tires (summers and winters) as the car ate up the original winters and then summers (one trip to Florida and back) very fast due to misalignment and bushings being loose. Apparently, the play in the wheels was also due to bushings, which I just found out, so I should have taken the car for a second independent inspection, after Steve's mechanic changed the balljoints. The mechanic who did the inspection for me did not realize it, but Steve's mechanic could not not notice that there is still play in the wheels after the ball joint replacement - tricky. Tie rods are rusty and ceased - alignment not possible without heating - both mechanics missed it 3 times total - tricky. Air Conditionning leaks a bit (blew warm in 3 months) so there is another repair on the way. At this point I feel that I was never told the true story at the time of the purchase - contacted Steve for a reasonable solution - his response is - too bad so sad. Removed another star. Overall, I would say consider CarSmart as the value may be good if you are careful with your due diligence. Steve is reasonable, knowledgeable, respectful and very professional overall pleasure to deal with - Steve's overall customer service level, if you ask the right questions at the right time, AND CHECK AFTER, is exceptional. Do not expect full story even after all your concerns were "addressed". Just be careful.

My partner and I are so happy we chose to buy our latest vehicle at Car Smart. Steve was so friendly and straightforward, and after our test drive, we had a very good impression of him and the dealership. He was honest about our options and treated us with respect. All the vehicles on the lot look to be higher end used models in excellent shape. Our truck was immaculate and Car Smart added a few touches to the car before putting it up for sale ,(new tires, fixing a sensor), making it an even more enticing purchase. The prices are competitive and reasonable, and the no-haggle approach makes doing business much less stressful (for me at least). While we paid a bit more for a vehicle than we were expecting, we are very confident that we made the right choice and have a great reliable vehicle for many years to come. We'd definitely do business with Steve again.

Not happy , service is horrible, traded in my 17 infiniti q50, for 18 dodge charger, gave me the car with bald tire ( 40% left ) ( refunded me 500$ ) after doing everything he told me to do , buy them install them ..etc, car was dirty , detail job was the worse I've ever seen , after signing the papers he needed to send papers to insurance and did after he served another client after me , that bmw that young man bought was knocking hope he got warranty, drove 6hrs to get this car, biggest headache dealing with this dealership, do not recommend at all , I wish I could give it -1 star , didn't refund me for the detail job I had to get, tires cost more then 500$ only gave me that much, very disappointed, I wouldn't recommend this shop again ... was not professional also ignored my texts, very rude when talking on the phone , I wish I could put pictures up , if you do buy a car check everything on the car before buying , oil, tires, detail job , car fax, learn from my mistakes ,

I recently purchased a car at CarSmart in Niagara Falls, and like all of the other vehicles on this car lot, it was in top notch condition, which shows the care that the owner takes in selecting his vehicles. It is easy for dealerships to find used cars, but to find and acquire the best of those is hard to do. I also found that the owner/dealer, Steve was extremely knowledgeable about every car on his lot, something that I have not experienced at any other car lot.
