We got exactly the car we requested. It had all the bells and whistles including GPS and proximity detection. Gas mileage was not the best but was acceptable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

So so friendly. Made renting a real pleasure. I even forgot the key in the courtesy vehicle when I returned the Jeep and it was no trouble to them at all. The agent even found me in the airport to confirm everything was ok! Above and beyond. Had a Jeep Compass, lovely little suv. It managed the hills and windy roads like a pro! Also just a gas sipper, which is great for running the roads!

I booked my rental car for $151.84 with confirmation number 15336024CA4. I was charged $291.14 when I was picking up the car. So i was charged $139.30 extra for no reason. This is totally unacceptable.

Picked up an amazing almost brand new white Chrysler 300 and it was in pristine condition with gps and satellite radio! Great gas mileage too. The lot is just a short stroll through the parking lot and is very well marked. The key return was quick and easy at the end. Great value as well!

I am a fast track member. The service at the airport was fabulous. My vehicle was upgraded to a 2019 Ford Edge titanium version. The vehicle performed beautifully. Returning the vehicle was easy. I would recommend Budget car rentals to all of my travelling friends.

Rented the car we had reserved with no problems. Friendly and helpful personnel at counter. Easy drop off for very early departure. Caution: There seems to be a very limited fleet of rental cars (from all companies) in St John's so reserve early and don't be late to pickup your car.

Terrible! We phoned yesterday to book with Budget. We were put through to the call centre where we were told they had a vehicle- gave us the amount it would cost & took my husband's name & number. There was no confirmation text or email sent to us. I phoned this morning to confirm & a lady at the airport said, "No there is no reservation under that name & we have been sold out since June. We can rent a car August 8th." Thanks for the great help. What was the purpose in taking a customers information & quoting a rate & telling them there is a vehicle available?!? Awesome!

Waiting for a call from the manager that I was supposed to receive this morning. It is now 4pm and I have left a message about a half hour ago and still nothing. I was misquoted by approximately $100 so the rental I expected to total $200 ended up to be $300 when I dropped off the vehicle last night. The original employee I dealt with was not there. The employee who was working phoned the manager and he said he would phone me this morning. He has not. I need this resolved please and would like a refund for the overchange. On top of a flight that was delayed by almost 12 hours this is a real kick in the pants. i would never have agreed to the high amount I was charged.

Go somewhere else. I booked a full size sedan over 2 months prior to arriving and when I get there they give me a small SUV that can't fold down the rear seats. I asked for a larger vehicle or the actual one I booked and they said they don't have the vehicle I booked and a larger vehicle will cost me more. They don't honor what they book. Good thing I booked the insurance online because they charge double in person. Don't use this location. The staff are horrible and argumentative and don't offer solutions that help.

All airport rental branches here do not allow debit. My trip was hindered because of this. Rental sites do not disclose this until after you prepay. This policy should probably change.

Check in was easy and quite timely although there was only one attendant at the desk and at least 10 people in line to get cars. Attendant was very pleasant and helpful. I was given a 2019 Equinox with GPS, back up camera and all the bells and whistles which was much more of a vehicle than I was expecting. The vehicle performed flawlessly for the 9 days and over 2500 kilometers that we drove it. Returning the vehicle was also quite easy and convenient as the drop off and counter are right at the airport. My only concern is during my use of the vehicle the windshield received a minor stone chip. Since I have never rented a vehicle before I assumed that this would be considered normal wear and tear and would not be a big issue. I mentioned it to the attendant when I returned the vehicle and she had to fill out another form and told me that they would either get the chip repaired or get the windshield replaced and then send the paperwork to head office in Halifax and then they would contact me as to how I wanted to pay for it. This took me completely by surprise that I would have to pay for it at all as the driver has no control over where a stone flies from someone else's vehicle. When I asked her how long this would take she said possible 6 weeks or more, so now I am sitting at home some 2000 miles away from where I rented the vehicle and have no choice but to wait and see how much of a bill I am going to get for this incident of which I had no control. Don't agree with this policy at all and if it is indeed the policy then when someone brings the vehicle back it should be inspected and reviewed on the spot and a decision made then, not 6 weeks or more after the fact. Overall I was very happy with the service and the vehicle but not impressed that I am being held responsible for the stone chip in the windshield.

Called three weeks before coming to confirm car seats could be included at no cost or we would have checked ours and brought them. Staff were awful and simply did not care. Tried to charge me 15.00 per booster seat (needed two) so 30.00 per day. Didn't even walk around car with us just said if you see anything come back..... It is easily a 5 minute walk to the parking lot. Never again will I book with budget they just don't care.... I am now driving around with young kids and no car seats. If something happens Budget will pay dearly.

Easy to book, and the car was very clean, filled, and fit our needs. Our Ford Flex was well equipped with all the latest features and handled our excursion quite well. The return process was a but of a let down with the sign for key drop hidden behind the counter and only one person on staff. I'd rent from them again.

The customer service is great. My flight was delayed and didn't get in until 3am and she was still there waiting for us that needed to rent a truck. Now the bad side. The truck I got was 6 years old, drove like a tank and smelled like someone been smoking in it for the last 6 years. Had to have the windows down whenever I was driving because the smell was so strong.

We rent a car every year from this Budget location and we always have the same experience. The staff are lovely, picking up and dropping off the vehicle is easy enough. The cars are usually top notch but they are always unclean - this year it honestly looked like the car had been driven off the sales lot, stickers ripped off the windows (all of the sticker residue outline on most of the windows) and placed in the Budget lot. Outside dirty vehicles can't go wrong with Budget.

I told the guy I already bought the insurance so I didn't need their insurance but he put this optional service in the contract and didn't tell me. Before I signed the contract, I asked him if I needed to pay anything(because I rent the car on other platform and already paid everything there), he said no. But After I returned the car, I found they charged me. Then I contacted the platform where I rent the car. They sent me the contract and told me I chose their optional service: insurance????. I am sure the guy didn't tell me and explain to me about this before I signed the contract.

I reserved a full size car and was given a Minivan originally. I was told that I was 'upgraded'... in what world is a minivan an upgrade??? I requested a different car and was given an Nissan Versa, far from a full size car!. When I got to the car I noticed a couple of Mazda MX5s and even a Dodge Charger. As a fastrack customer that only rents from Budget, I am very disappointed

The experience with budget and their vehicles is good, but their carseats are BS. You pay $13 a day for cheap, uncomfortable, uncushioned, dirty carseats. I dont know about anyone else. But when I travel with my world, I like a rear facing, 5 point harness car seat that is cushioned, not cheap, compatible with the vehicle on driving and safe.

Rented from St. John's airport location during Christmas. The lady at the counter was amazing. (Darcy?) My flight was delayed until 130am and she waited for me. Then when I said the parking lot location was making me nervous because I would have to walk so far, alone, in the middle of the night, she walked there herself and brought my car down to the airport. I will definetly rent again from this location.

The service was great as always, but the rental had zero traction on the tires and was dangerous to drive in winter conditions. I spent most my trip inside because just the slightest snowfall made it very dangerous to drive. The car swerved and slid and scared me to drive it.

Instead of cancelling our car they held it for us, no questions asked. Check in was a breeze. As was return of the rental car. The car we were given was brand new and we were very happy with it. I recently rented a vehicle from this location for a trip. The rental broke down on the Trans-Canada highway and I phoned the emergency number that was provided. Several calls to road side assistance and no return call. A passing driver stopped to assist me after being on the highway for 4 hours. The car was taken to a service shop and repaired. Additional calls in desperation were made to the two numbers provided by the counter agent the time of the rental agreement. Still no return call. When the car was turned back to the terminal, I received the owners, Mark Powell's contact information and followed up with him through email and numerous calls to discuss the faulty car and to be reimbursed for my repair costs. Zero communication from him or his road side assistance. My next phone call will be with Budget Canada Corporate for an official complaint.

first of all: I paid in advance for a full size vehicule; you had none avaliable . I accept a suv Huinday Santafee instead (with no price reducion) most important deception: you had no vehicules with winter tires. I was going to Lac St-jean across (park des laurentides) This is already winter there. Totally not acceptable at this time of the year.

DO NOT USE BUDGET. If I could give them zero stars I would. So misleading. Extra charges. Purchased a rental through Expedia. Total was $280 for 5 days and included insurance. We ended up getting charged an extra $408.77 for insurance charges!!!! Charges that were not displayed accurately on our receipt. Good luck getting anyone from Budget to explain the charges. Contacted Expedia and they were able to give us a detailed breakdown from Budget. Extra charges were as follows. "loss damage waiver--150.00 personal coverage--39.95 roadside service--49.95 loss damage waiver zero deductible in CA--54.95 taxes by the states--26.15 concession fee--65.39 taxes and fees--22.38 total of 408.77" Budget is a total scam.

Returning the car was easy using Fast Break, which was great as the long up at time of return was busy. Customer van drove me back to the airport from where I parked the car which was very helpful.

I am writing this review a little bit late but I have to say I still remember how well we were treated by the owner at this company. We had heard bad reviews of Budget in other locations and were hesitant but the owner is an extremely nice man. He gave us lots of tips on how to find the northern lights. He told us not to worry about minor dents on the car because it is pretty common in yellow knife from the stones on the gravel road hitting the car. He also gave us unlimited mileage for free (not common in Yellow Knife). Two years later, I still remember the owner and his kindness. Thank you

(Translated) By renting from my French travel agency, a Budget vehicle from this airport we had real confidence. A mastered price (a total guarantee and franchise buyback insurance) and an estimate for GPS rental on arrival. In the end, for an initial amount of 99 € for this GPS (determined in advance), they add me daily expenses for the tires by explaining to me that they must change the tires the winter and the summer (excuse !!!!) + taxes for a total amount of 185 dollars. Worse, they make me sign the contract in English. Impossible to have it in French. However, I thought that in Quebec, French was also a legal obligation. And I paraphe .... otherwise no vehicle, like a blank check. And when we discuss with the Budget Manager the terms of the contract, it is a pit bull that answers us .... it's like that. I invite you to go elsewhere. The rest of this story when I return the vehicle on June 21. (Original) En louant depuis mon agence de voyage française, un véhicule chez Budget de cet aéroport nous avions une réelle confiance. Un prix maitrisé (une garantie totale et les assurances de rachat de franchise) et une estimation pour la location du GPS à l'arrivée. Au final, pour un montant initial de 99 € pour ce GPS (déterminé à l'avance), ils me rajoutent des frais journaliers pour les pneus en m'expliquant qu'ils doivent changer les pneus l'hiver et l'été (excuse !!!!) + des taxes pour un montant total de 185 dollars. Budget is a rip-off and a dishonest company. I will NEVER use Budget again and will do everything in my power to dissuade unsuspecting consumers who seek to rent a vehicle from falling into Budget's trap. Run to the competition. Avoid Budget. It is a shyster. Shame on you, Budget!

The worst car rental experience I have ever had : First the manager charged me an extra 80 dollars for an insurance that was already included in the price paid. Then she told me she couldn’t give the car I had booked two months ago. She wanted to give me instead a car with a tiny trunk (half the size of the trunk of the original car I had booked) that couldn’t hold my luggage. The only option that I was left with was to pay an extra 300 dollars for an upgrade for a 7 passengers minivan (we were only four!) which was by the way old and dirty. Of course she did all of that with absolutely no sense of customer service : tons of bad faith (according to the manager all the SUV cars have the same trunk size) and threats to call security because she didn’t like to see a customer complaining while others were watching. Shame on you !

We had a GREAT experience with Budget at St. John's International Airport. Our flight from Toronto was delayed, and we didn't get in until about 2:30 am (an hour after closing time). I sent an email saying we'd come for the car the next day, but Sarah waited for our flight! This was WAY beyond what we expected, and we greatly appreciated her dedication and assistance. She was friendly, fast and efficient! Returning the car was also a breeze - Holly was also very helpful and fast. We would highly recommend renting from Budget at St. John's Airport.

This would be a 5 except that rental car parking is quite a long walk from the airport. I realize this is more a fault of the airport, but walking that distance alone at night dragging heavy bags was frightening. The shuttle should run 24 hours. Other than that, the staff was helpful, the car was clean and in great condition, and I enjoyed driving it. All in all a great value.
