We rented from Budget. The line was 30 people deep. It took us longer to rent a car than it did to fly from SMF to ONT. Once we got the car and went to the space we were told to go to, the car didn't match the rental agreement. We had to go back in, and they said that car wasn't available. We had to take our bags out of the vehicle and haul them to another. It was about 100 degrees outside. Counter staff didn't seem to care. Worst rental car experience ever...and after 38 years of traveling, that says a lot. Very disappointing.

Great place to get a rental car. Whenever I go on a road trip, I always rent from Avis. Reliable and good options. The staff is so nice, one time they upgraded me! Definitely recommend renting here especially from avis. The facility closes at 12 so you’ll have time to drop off the car late at night.

As an Executive Elite member, I was told I couldn't choose a large SUV. Had to wait for nearly ONE HOUR to have a vehicle brought around to us. Finally ended up with a very nice Audi G7, but we had to wait for it and that was very disappointing!

Waited over an hour to get my rental car. Most of that time was out in the sun to which I have a sun allergy n that was not a good way to stay my visit.. I called the night before to confirm n was told "it's ready for you". They didn't have the car I ordered but did give me an upgrade or downgrade without an extra charge. 4 stars to Sonia at Budget/Payless. She was Professional n Friendly. I was not the only one waiting for a car either. A couple of months ago, I rented from Fox n it took less than 15 mins. Still haven't received my email receipt from B/P either, been four days?? Later I was told I should go in because I don't have proof I returned it. But I do, I took pictures.

Great airport. Easy to walk around. When the line at the rental car shuttle is long airport staff begin to assist with managing the line and assuring people that their will be additional shuttles coming. Rental car center is easy to maneuver even during high peak times.

If I could provide 0 stars I would. I called to verify everything I needed over the phone with the company they looked up my reservation knew where I was renting from and told me all I needed was the 200.00 deposit because it was a debit card. That was fine. No problem... I get there and stand and wait for 30 min for them to tell me that because I'm a local resident I am not allowed to use a debit card I have to use a major credit card and they have to come down and the person with the card is responsible for the car and is adding me as a driver... ontario international airport is horrible with the rental you would think they would want someone renting local because we are familiar with california driving and I wouldn't end up driving out of state to where I am originally from. They are more worried about fraud.. there is more fraud with credit cards then anything now days u would think that any card they can hold money on would be better because people are more likely to cancel a credit card or dispute a card on a credit card faster then they are on a bank debit card... even the guy at the counter agreed it's the ONTARIO AIRPORT POLICY for ALL CAR RENTALS NO debit cards allowed period so if ur flying in from out of state BE PREPARED to use lyft or uber ALOT if u dont have a major credit card and they do a credit check as well which in the 20 years I've been able to rent that is the 1st time they have wanted to run a credit check! As much as they charge and require I might as well go buy a car the monthly payment for a rental would cover 4 months in payments for a car I purchased!

The airport facility is fine. AVIS - Get your reservation online! Even as a Preferred Member it is MUCH too expensive at the counter. Also they charge ridiculous extension fees!!!! Double the weekly rate for 1 day!!!! Employees have no idea about internet pricing or ways to get discounts or perhaps they just said that so they didn't have to share in order to get the higher rate. I have rented thru them 4 times in as many months and this trip being an emergency due to family illness I didn't make the reservation online first. That will never happen again. It was more than 30% more expensive.

Ok...its an international airport. Then, there is an operational shuttle from the airport to the car rental area. However, my flight was significantly delayed until 2am arrival and the shuttle dropped me off to the rental area but all the agencies were closed until 6. I didn't get a car. Enough said.

My sis rented a car for an overnight. Returned the car at the right time(30 mins before the alloted time) the following day but then they charge my sis twice the bill because they said that the car was returned passed the alloted time.

This place is a scam!!! They advertise unlimited mileage included with your reservation but once you book and receive the confirmation email, it says limit of 150 miles per day for locals. I tried calling thinking it would be an easy change but there was no assistance with this issue at all. I ended up going through my credit card to block the charge.

I was in line listening to people argue with the representatives because they were trying to use their debit card to rent a car. There's signs everywhere that states they do not accept debit cards as a method of payment to rent a vehicle. You must have a major credit card if you want to rent a car. Just listening to so many adults arguing that a debit card can be used as a credit card it's hilarious to me. Every responsible adult has a major credit card. If you have a prepaid card or just a debit card Common Sense should tell you that's not a major credit card. The representatives are so professional, that's why I love renting here!

Ontario Airport is one of California's best kept secrets. I will never fly into LAX again. I deplaned and was at the rental car facility in less than ten minutes. The rental car staff (Enterprise) were friendly and helpful.

I have never had A worse experience at a car rental service,I was quoted one price thinking I would be back to pay what she kindly quoted, having mega luggage and a baby in tow ..... I come back with vehicle and they stacked more money on my bill 400$? To rent a car? I asked kindly to please fix and he told me NO !! Rude! It was okay, they have made changes since covid-19 as well. I understand that they have emerged or Been purchase or something. I had a reservation and even once I approached the window I still had to wait 30 40 minutes before I was actually walk to my car. The young lady ( was very kind ) had questions that should have been in the system already, she had to wait for a manager's approval which did not make sense to me in addition to that, the gentleman that was behind me was called up and walk to his car before I even though I had already been approved by the manager.

It was start easy to get in and out of here. I needed to exchange a car I had rented in northern California because of a flat tire. I first went to the spot where you rent the cars but that was incorrect. The lady had told me to go to the return area and get a car there. I drove around to the Enterprise drop off and was able to exchange my car quite easily. No hassle and only took about 10 minutes for the entire thing, including my wrong first stop.

The car rental center for the Ontario Airport makes things extremely easy. There is a free shuttle back and forth from the airport that comes very often which is nice. All rental companies are in one building, and all the cars are in the same lot as well. The companies inside kind of all work together to make things go quick as well, so it really is super convenient.

Supposedly this terminal of car rental angencies is open til 11 p.m. On two separate occasions, while booking a rental from different agencies for each of these times, I arrive at 10:30 p.m. to pick up the vehicle I had booked online. From Avis and from Dollar rental I was turned away without a vehicle for some made up excuses, and then had to jump through hoops to get my money back by calling and spending a cumulative 3-4 hours on hold. If for some reason you are gonna use the Ontario airport car rental agencies, do NOT pay in advance.

Friendly staff; however, they almost gave me a car with a giant nail/screw in the tire! Be alert when conducting the walk-around with staff. The car I got had issue with the car crash icon. Everytime I break, the icon would light up--possibly to notify me that I got hit? Or maybe the car was "too high tech" for me.

One National rental car return was NOT open at 3:15AM to return car so I had to guess where to leave it. Second the shuttle bus took over 20 minutes to come and pick us up and third the driver of shuttle never asked what airlines and if he would have we would have only gone to terminal 4 instead he went to 2 first and NOBODY got off!

In order to review I must put a star but I honestly this place should get zero stars. Worst experience ever. Went in to pick up a rental, for starters they don't take debit but on the website it says debit is OK ! They told me the deposit would be $100 I get there give them my card and they tried running $400 for the deposit when I asked Sonia wait wait why ???? She said sometimes we charge more when I ask why now are you charging more her answer was I DON'T KNOW! and well I DON'T KNOW doesn't cut it its $300 extra we're talking about here. I think they do this because I reserve thru other company and get a discount price that they didn't like

Thirty Rental was a third party rental. Worse experience ever. First the reservation was made online and the $145 charge was deducted from the debit card. Only to find out at the reservation desk that there was a 24 hour wait before rental would be processed. We waited only to be told the next morning there was a $300 deposit required and despite insurance being purchased with original reservation we were told it was required to purchase a third party insurance which ended up being more costly than the entire rental. Unbelievably the initial $145 was not refundable and the vehicle was not rented. I will have to really look into how business is done when it comes to all these incidental charges are made despite what was agreed upon the initial rental agreement. Has anyone else ran into the same problem? Which state or federal agency would this company be regulated by? I believe a investigation would be in order to protect consumers who are being basically robbed.

I usually book a rental through National. However this facility is NOT 24hrs. The only convenient rental agency is Avis. They have a 24hr return lot whereas the others lock the gates and do not open until sometime between 5am and 6am.
