I'm surprised how some people were not quite satisfied with the service from Hertz. Just fill out some forms online to save some time. The price is so competitive. The cars are almost 2021 brand new and so clean. Jose (customer service) was super quick and so kind. Can't tell enough about him. I would say the best rental car in Montreal.

If you want my advice don’t rent from them. The worst location and car rentals I have rent with. In the beginning they provided me with the wrong car and then they charged me for one day more after returning the car 1 hour late.

We got our vehicle 45 minutes later but the GPS was offered and the car was very good! No problem on that side, so to recommend. Slow service, I had my reservation at 8:00 AM but I got my car after 9:20 AM. The service was slow even though I had updated all my documents and credit card on their website. They didn't modify my rental agreement to return the vehicle at 9:00 AM next day (24 hours rental). I was charged for 2 days even though I returned the car before 8:00 AM. (magically my return time is shown at 3:00 PM on the bill) After waiting for more than 1 hour to contact customer service, They sent the claim to a time dispute team, which is still going on and I can never follow-up with the time-dispute team. Even the customer service is as slow as rental procedure. There are better rentals in Montreal with quicker and honest rental service. Update: After spending 8 hours + of my time on customer service and emailing the store manager and spamming their phone number with calls for whole half a day, I got my refund after 50+ days. Way to go with customer support.

Main complaint is we had completely warned out 4 seasons tires when winter clearly had arrived outside. I find this to be negligent on their part renting cars to tourists who may have never driven in the snow. We were lucky to not have encountered any winter storms but we had freezing rain in the forecast when we picked.

Rude staff (a lady)+ didn’t even explain well how to find the elevator towards the parking so lost in the building + no explanation for returning the car when all roads were closed because of the construction around the rental place so took 30 minutes lost in the streets+ didn’t check the big scratches on the car and debated me to be easygoing when I found them! Only one hatchback car was available and made passengers very uncomfortable and no more options to choose! Hertz was on top of my list but will never get one anymore.

4*4 with winter tires totally finished. After one week they weren't able to manage a voucher pre-paid! One another office took 2h to resolve the same problem! But here we waited 2h at the pick-up and we needed more than 3h to resolve the problem at the drop-off !!!!

Great rental location! I've rented there over 12 times and never had a bad experience. Everyone is friendly and willing to help out (even if you forget important things in a rental car)! Would highly recommend this Hertz location to everyone (also their After-Hours drop-off is very easy and straight-forward).

Terrible experience with Hertz, rent a car and returned it back in time, they billed me two extra days (for an amount of 100$). Although I called many times, I could not get in touch with the manager and had to go to the agency to try and get a refund, which I still did not get after 2 months. Avoid Hertz!

Terrible company. I cancelled my reservation days in advance and none of what I paid was reimbursed. I went to their office only to be told to call their customer service number. On that number there's a labyrinth of automated answering machines. When I finally talked to somebody she transfered me to another department, but there was only other automated choice options and no one to talk to. Avoid at all costs !
