This company makes money through scamming their clients. I was charged double interest and filed a law suite against them. I settled away from courts for a certain amount only to find out I had to complete my lease to receive that amount. If you are a female do NOT go in on your own and always make sure to read every word of the lease before signing. If there is ANY way they could screw you, they will!

There is no zero so 1 star, which they don't deserve. Basically avoid them and especially avoid Jack Szpiro! If you wanna know why, read below: They were not helpful, greedy and too rude. Now, I understand that money is the only objective of any dealership, and I can't blame them for that. But this is what they did with me: I found a car online and got in touch with its owner (who was leasing it from them), I paid a mechanic to inspect it and paid to get carfax and we agreed on a lease take over after he pays off the residual. Once I received the paper work from Sommerville, there was a $350 for lease transfer + $125 ("registration fees"). So I had to pay them $475 for only checking my credit for the transfer. When I called Jack to ask about the fees, Jack was very rude and did not care to explain the additional $125. He yelled "listen, this is how we do it and you won't teach us how to do business. We are basically doing this as a favor to the leaser".....A favor that cost $475 for filling a form and doing credit check! Then, he goes like "can I call you later? Someone is waiting for me here"...... In that call, he learnt from me that the leaser was going to pay off the residual before the transfer. Instead of calling me later, he called the leaser and told him that if he pays off the residual, they will pay him the remaining 16 months of lease and re-acquire the car. I had already added the car on my insurance for the transfer to happen (which I had to cancel later). The true colors of people come out when they don't have any benefit from you (in this case, only $475 ). I saw the true colors of Sommerville and Jack and wanted to let others know. P.S. Jack also never agreed to send me a blank copy of the lease that I was going to take over so as to read it in advance. He was like "it has to happen here"

I wish all the vehicles I have leased over the years were as easy as the Porsche Macan S I recently leased. Isaac was a pleasure to deal with as he patiently answered all of my questions and concerns and was able to find me the vehicle with the options I desired at a price that came in under budget. Why go anywhere else when you can pick the car of your dreams any day of the week.

My name is Sebastian, I have been a customer of Somerville leasing for over 7 years now. I have done the majority of my company’s commercial leases through them. I have NEVER missed a payment or been late and have been a loyal customer. In the end of January one of our vehicles was involved in accident where it was damaged to the point where it had to be written off by our insurance company as non repairable. I notified Somerville leasing of what occurred, they notified me that I would have to continue to make payments on this unit while the insurance company did their due diligence in determining what the value was for this vehicle. So I complied and made payments on the allotted date. Once the insurance company determined the value of this vehicle it was determined that they would send a cheque for the total to Somerville Leasing. Due to the fact that this unit has been in our fleet for almost 4 years we have around 30k of equity in this vehicle and we’re supposed to receive the money directly from Somerville Leasing. Unfortunately all of sudden the COVID-19 pandemic hit North America and seemed everything came to a screeching halt. Our business just STOPPED and like many other small business we needed help. However Somerville decided to NOT HELP however I was given an ultimatum. 1. If I took the my money from the equity from the truck and I would NOT be eligible for deferrals 2. They would keep my equity check and provide me deferral payments for my vehicles. EXTREMELY UNETHICAL I’m not even sure if this is legally allowed. Lynne then proceeded to give multiple excuses as to why I couldn’t collect money that was owed to me. Got the run around for over 3 weeks when our company needed the money the most. I finally collected the cheque last week due to the help of David Berman ( the only employee they have with any compassion ) and was told that Somerville would not be helping us out during these times ( Even though the other 2 leasing companies I deal with are). Shame on you Somerville Leasing. I would NOT recommend anyone to use these crooks who seem to only want to be there when the times are good and are showing their true colors over these last few weeks. STAY AWAY from this unethical company, they are greedy and have ZERO class.

Somerville is by far the most egregious finance/lease company I have ever come across. First, they will tell you anything you'd like to hear in order to get your signature on the lease form - that includes lying to your face about the interest rate. Their fees are beyond ridiculous and they will not hesitate to report poorly to the credit bureaus if you so much as murmur a word about not agreeing to any bill. And you may be thinking that I have missed a monthly payment, but that isn't the case. I've made my payment every month for many months/years. The staff are so poor at responding when there is issues, I can never get ahold of any representative at any hour, unless of course, I have my credit card number ready. Watch your wallet and your sanity, both will be gone by the end of your lease term. Unfortunately I'm stuck with Somerville for a while with no way out. I've left information vague to prevent being identified by the criminals, steer clear of Somerville and drive safe everyone.
