I can only leave a two star review and am surprised by the previous reviews here. This car rental service is not at Liverpool Lime Street station as was advertised on our voucher. You have to be picked up and driven 10 minutes to the office. Upon arrival, the staff were friendly but not knowledgeable or clear about what was included in my Collision Damage Waiver. The car was only a quarter full of petrol - the fuel cap also didn't have a clear label over whether it was a petrol or diesel car. Most concerning though was the fact that all tyre pressures were low. We established this when we drove off and the warning light came on - we had to stop at a service station to pump up all the tyres ourselves and every single one of them was below recommended limits. No CoVid precautions were taken either - no masks worn by staff, no gloves. One of their team drove the car to the office with me in the passenger seat (wearing a mask) and no disinfecting took place of the steering wheel before I was expected to drive the car. Drop off wasn't smooth either - we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to arrive to collect the car. All in all, a poor experience when compared to other car rental services and locations.

I really can't speak highly enough of my experience with Green Motion in Liverpool City Centre. The Mini Countryman we rented was absolutely excellent and the pricing very competitive. On our way to return the car, we got stuck in traffic but after calling to explain, Atish waited beyond closing time for us to arrive. Five Stars....

Friendly and professional service, clean car, and convenient. Unfortunately I have to take off a couple stars for a couple reasons. 1. The car only had 3/4 tank. I only noticed this after driving off. I called and emailed multiple times to confirm if they were fine for me to return the car at 3/4 tank but never received a response. So I ended up returning it full. 2. They said they'd "prefer not to" take Amex. While not an issue for the actual rental fee, it became a huge issue for the £2500 security deposit, as my other cards are lower limit credit cards and debit cards. I obliged and used my debit MasterCard. It's been over a week since returning the rental and my bank has still blocked off £2500 as "pending". A problem as I have a number of direct debits scheduled in the coming days! This wouldn't have been an issue if they simply accepted Amex for the deposit.

I've had mixed experiences with Green Motion. (Manchester Airport being one of the worse branches). However, i was served by Jason in Liverpool & he was friendly & went over and above - even dropping me off at the station after my booking. The check out experience also seemed to be a lot faster than the other Green Motions i've used. Will be hiring from here again.

Please note, the car rental service is not at Liverpool Lime Street. It is down on the dock road, 15 minutes walk from the centre of town. They also do not accept American Express credit cards so unless you have a Visa / Mastercard, you cannot rent a car, something you are not told at the time of booking.

Veay nice experiences! Boss is Chinese who is very nice. He give me GLA 180 for a student price which was very cheaper than other company. Inside the car is clean and tidy. Moreover, he told me traffic rules in case I miss any thing I don’t know. Will go there again!!

I am very happy with my experience at Green Motion Liverpool City Downtown, renting already a couple of times from cars to vans. The location is very convenient and the cars are always in a very good condition. Jason is so helpful, last time I was running a bit late in returning the van but Jason was waiting for me beyond the official opening hours and still greeted me with a smile. We came across a problem due to overbooking which led to me having to accept a mini van instead of the car. The staff were very helpful and apologetic though, and the van itself worked well for the trip.

By far the best price for rental. Great, very professional service from William (even to providing bottled water) Easy location for pick up and drop off, very close to Liverpool 1 and Lime St train station. Friendly and helpful. Just check you have all the correct documents. I have seen so many people turn up for cars without the correct documents (and it does vary greatly with different companies )

Fantastic service. It's a franchise, and so WIlliam really does care and provide better service than you'll get elsewhere. He was flexible enough to provide us a little extra time to get the car back when we were running late. He also is honest and not incentivised to make up a fake damage claim like they are in other places. Very friendly service, immaculate cars and even a couple of bottles of water in the car. We will rent from William again!
