Lovely Service - nice car and everything worked perfectly, beside the fact that we thought, that the toll costs (Merseyside Bridge) is already included in the hiring costs. Our mistake: we did not ask before we hired the car, but we didn’t ask either.... now we have to pay 100 EUR instead of 4 EUR...next time: pls ask all of your customers or at least inform them that the toll is not included in the price to avoid such bad surprises

I return the car in front of the airport and nobody was there to tell me what to do. Luckily other customer was there to tell that you have to drop the car there and return the keys in diferent place.

Friendly staff, but I booked a Vauxhall Astra and they gave me a tiny Peugeot 2008 which they say is in the same class of car. It was too small for purpose so I had to upgrade to a Hyundai Tucson for an additional £20 per day as they didn't have any more medium size cars. As soon as I drove off the low tyre pressure warning light came up so I topped up with air at the nearest garage. The next day I had to top the air pressure up again. I was told that the car was a Diesel but when I came to fill it with fuel there was no indication that the fuel was diesel or petrol. I phoned Europcar and they confirmed it was petrol. Could have been an expensive mistake.

Flew in from Belfast as I do on a regular basis signed for a car which was possibly the worse car I have ever driven and must have been a freebie out of cornflakes and it had a satnav that was built into the car I prebooked the car and paid £57 for but was subsequently charged £30 for the satnav which I hadn’t asked for when it was queried with customer service and the staff at Liverpool they agreed that it was wrong to charge for something that was built into the car I had a car two weeks prior to this it had a satnav but wasn’t charged beware of what you sign for and don’t waste your time speaking to customer service they don’t listen or care absolutely disgusting service

Although I found the desk staff friendly, they got my car wrong and after a long walk with three kids and three suitcases to collect the car the 5 door I had booked and paid for, turned out to be a 3 door. The man in the key cabin shrugged and told me I'd need to go back to the main office if I had a problem.. with my three kids and three suitcases. Not helpful Not the car I needed and Not a good service. Very disappointed. The only bonus ... it didn't rain on the long walk ... can only imagine poor families waking after a long flight to collect a car - why it's not like Manchester and malaga in an indoor car park I don't know.

Awful...have rented many cars at liverpool airport over the years first and last time with this company all I can say to everyone is check the vehicle thoroughly even underneath and insist a staff member checks it with you otherwise an invoice for damage could be sent to you and the only response you will get to any emails you send will be a copy of the terms & conditions also dont bother asking for a manager to contact you they will ignore the request .....use one of the other companies theres plenty

Returning the car here outside opening times is not exactly straightforward. First of all there are not enough bays for Europcar so you have to end up parking in another company bay. Secondly it says on their cabin that return the keys to Hampton Hotel Reception. When you get there, the staff will tell you that everyone ends up here but you are actually meant to return the keys outside the hotel where there are pillar boxes. Now why can't they just write that on the cabin so that our time is not wasted? Maybe for first timers it can get confusing hence it would be great if they could be more clear as time is very important at Airports. I have noticed at other Airports they have a return box attached to the cabin which would be much more ideal than going outside Hampton Hotel.

He remembered us, was very helpful and is a credit to your company. The only drawback to my hiring a car at Liverpool Airport recently is the distance of the car park from the terminal. (It seems even farther in the rain!). But this is not the fault of Europcar, and affects all the car hire companies to the same extent. The rest of the experience was positive - helpful staff, quick service and car in good condition.

Rental took me 90min ! I booked the Standard/Intermediate (Skoda Octavia) and I got a compact Volvo V40. (According to Europcar UK website this is compact class) when I for change I heard that this is standard and the girl gave me automatic on which I should be happy. I did not ask for it. She just asked if I'm fine with automatic. I paid more for bigger car to have more space in trunk. When I got the car the mileage was 1740 and after just 4 miles the fuel indicator dropped by one bar, which look like the car did no have a full of fuel. (I have picture for it). It's not the first time I rented from Europcar. Even this year. And they still did not have my details in the system and I needed to provide them prove of my address. Never again from Europcar in Liverpool Airport !

Absolutely awful service!! They are frauds. I paid on line with extra insurance and then when I got there they demanded an extra 266 British pounds from me! This is fraud!! They were incredibly rude. I was shocked. This was the worse service I have ever received in England. I wrote to the British ombudsman to complain. It was not even worth 1 star but it would not let me post unless I gave a star!!

(Translated) Shameful. I make the reservation of a car for day 16 at 2345, to pick up at Liverpool airport. When I get on the plane that takes me to Liverpool I receive a cancellation email of the car reservation (which I have not made, the cancellation ..), on the flight as you can understand I can not do any management. They give me back all the money minus 50 euros, for the cancellation (I reiterate that I have not made that cancellation) When I arrive at my destination I do not have a car or the possibility of talking to anyone in the office, since it is closed. And best of all, the office hours are until 2315, how do you let me book a car to pick up at 2345 then? I find all this shameful and best of all your null response and solution to all this. I WOULD SAY YOU ARE A BUSINESS SCAM. (Original) Vergonzoso. Realizo la reserva de un coche para el día 16 a las 2345,para recoger en el aeropuerto de Liverpool. Cuando me monto en el avión que me lleva a Liverpool recibo un correo de cancelación de la reserva del coche(que yo no he realizado, la cancelación..), en el vuelo como pueden entender no puedo hacer gestión alguna. Me devuelven todo el dinero menos 50 euros, por la cancelación (reitero que yo no he hecho esa cancelación) Cuando llego a mi destino no tengo coche ni posibilidad de hablar con nadie en la oficina, ya que esta se encuentra cerrada. Y lo mejor de todo es que el horario de la oficina es hasta las 2315,como me dejáis reservar un coche para recoger a las 2345 entonces? Me parece vergonzoso todo esto y lo mejor de todo vuestra nula respuesta y solución ante todo esto. DIRÍA QUE SOIS UNA ESTAFA DE EMPRESA.

We picked up our car at Liverpool airport very late on a Monday night. Our agent was very helpful in explaining directions and suggesting a larger car based on our luggage. She provided a complimentary premium car within our chosen car class. We had some concerns about returning the car to a different location, so our agent provided her office's cell phone in case we had any problems. Renting and returning the car was easy and fast. We also chose the satellite navigation system since we were unfamiliar with the country road system. We found the navigation system essential to our trip and we were very thankful for it as we did not have cellular service in many parts of the UK. Europcar made British driving a snap from start to finish.

booked a car .. got a taxi to the airport , was told sorry no cars ,, we tried to call you .. i showed them my phone they never called at all . had to get a taxi home at the total cost of 55 pound , charged my card and nothing back after 4 days . never ever again will i use this service.

BE CAREFUL!! SCAM!! I rent a car on November with Europcar Liverpool Airport. I found food left overs there lying on the floor. When I returned the car I was not there when they checked it (because I returned it in the evening). There was some sand on the foot mat that could be easily shaken off. But they charged me 90 Euro cleaning costs for that. I am pretty sure they wouldn't have done that when I had been present at the inspection. And seeing the food leftover in the car i am also sure they didn't even cleaned the sand. from the car. Please think twice if you want to hire a car there. They will find a way to charge you extra. I booked the europcar service because it was only 60 Euros for 2 days. But with this ridiculous fee it was way more expensive than other services. Even if another car service is more expensive don't book europcar! They will find a way to charge you extra. But if you book with them make sure to be there at the inspection. Otherwise you will get a problem. I contacted the damage service. But like in Liverpool the service was really bad. They could not explain why they carged me. They only sent me the terms and conditions over and over again that did not specifically say anything to my case. The huge amount of the fee is also not justified. I will never hire a car with Europcar again.

Not even worth one star. The girl on the desk couldn't give me the car which was already a paid reservation as I had a French address and didn't have a utilities bill with me as proof (why would I, do you take your electricity bills when you travel?) to prove it was my address. after 2 hours trying to sort it out with my 5 year old waiting, crying, I went to Hertz and got a car ten minutes later. Pathetic.

Have been a loyal customer to Europcar for years as I find it easy to book them when booking EasyJet flights, however on my last trip I was falsely charged for an upgrade when the car I booked was not available. I feel as if they hid the charge from me when taking the car as they knew it was incorrect/ cheeky/ not permitted and was only contacted 4 weeks after the rental had ended. Terrible customer treatment.
